Cleaner and less chaotic than other places in Amsterdam. The bathroom wasn't usable at 10:40 PM...not good.

Filthy! Every table was covered in trash, and the floors had food and garbage all around. If they're this lax about cleanliness in their dining room, I don't trust their food safety. Yuck. Love McDonald's but this was terrible...an insult to customers.

Soft drinks and snacks were fine. But what struck me was that they hire someone for the toilets: she was busy making sure people actually paid upon entry to the toilets. Even though the toilets were really far below par. Really very dirty, broken and a filthy toilet seat. Long live the Dyson handwashing system, but otherwise really very dirty. The floor, the toilets themselves, and the tiled walls clearly hadn't been cleaned for a very long time.

Extremely hot location. Ordered happy meal with fish sandwich and toy. Got fish sandwich with ketchup instead of tartar sauce and book instead of toy! Horrible customer service. Asked me to show receipt but didn't even turn his face to look at it. Seems likes hates his job and doesn't care about getting order right.

We came for dinner, and upon entry, this was the situation: people dealing drugs and filth everywhere. The order also arrived incorrectly, and napkins and trays were missing. The bathroom, besides being dirty, also requires payment.

I was trying to use the bathroom, put my card on the machine, heard a beeping sound and tried to walk in, when a rude cleaning lady yelled at me "you didn't pay!" I asked her if it didn't work and if I had to try again and she just yelled again "you didn't pay!" I didn't know if she was trying to scam me. I told her that I had put my card at the sensor and tried to explain that I would pay again if my payment didn't go trough, but I wouldn't tolerate her yelling at me and accusing me of not paying on purpose. But she always interrupted me and continued to yell "you didn't pay, check your phone, you didn't pay!!". Luckily another worker showed up and I was able to explain the situation. He offered me to go trough without paying, but I ended up paying anyways. It wasn't about money but the absolute out of line rude behaviour of that woman.

I am extremely disappointed with this McDonald's location. I ordered two McFlurries, and they were honestly pathetic. Oreo McFlurry: There was barely any cookie in it. It was basically just plain vanilla soft-serve. M&M's McFlurry: It had almost no chocolate or M&Ms at all. To make matters worse, the ordering machines let you select and pay for extra toppings, but the actual ice cream didn't include them. They literally charge you for extra toppings and then don't give them to you. On top of the food being subpar—the ice cream itself really isn't that good anymore—the restaurant's environment was terrible. The floor was extremely dirty, and the place was overcrowded with people just waiting around. This location is seriously lacking in quality control, cleanliness, and basic customer service. It needs a massive improvement. Would not recommend

For a restaurant as big as McDonald’s, with so many customers, it is not acceptable to have only one toilet, especially when you also have to pay €1 to use the restroom.

Well, it's the capital and busy, that often comes at the expense of service. Undercooked sandwiches, or half-empty fries. Oh yes, if you have to pay 1 euro for the toilet after ordering 50+ euros, then make sure they are clean. Downright filthy!

While I was being targeted with harassment, a Black staff member—who should have intervened—instead joined in by laughing and conversing in Dutch with the group involved. I had a very disturbing and unacceptable experience at this McDonald's today around 7:20–7:40 PM. My friend and I were already seated at a table when a group of four Dutch men suddenly took over our table while my friend briefly stepped away to order. We confronted them, as this was clearly inappropriate behavior. What shocked me even more was the reaction of one of your staff members. A Black male employee, who was cleaning nearby at the time, joined the situation—not to de-escalate it, but to laugh along with the group and make offensive, racist remarks targeting Asians. This behavior is absolutely unacceptable, especially from a staff member representing your brand. Customers should feel safe and respected regardless of their background, and this experience completely failed that expectation. You should definitely try the croquette burger here. Especially all Japanese people craving a Gratin Croquette burger should give it a try at least once. It's a touchscreen, so you don't need to worry about language barriers.

The menus are very small almost like children’s menus. When I wanted to use the toilet I was told I had to pay 1 euro. Charging customers for the toilet is ridiculous. I tried to pay with my bank card but it gave an error however I had just paid for my order with the same card without any issue.

I tried to use the restroom and an employee rudely told me in English that it was closed. The manager also refused to open it; there didn't seem to be any problem or anything, just a fear of people making a mess. Terrible customer service, especially considering I'd been a customer here before.

I was eating at this establishment with my partner, and after we finished, I tried to use the restroom. I went to the counter to ask if I could use the restroom since I had already ordered something, but they refused me entry without giving me any explanation. The staff, who were wearing shirts, were very unpleasant.

The burger I ordered was poorly assembled, with lettuce spilling out, the sauce overly sweet, etc. I ordered a lemonade and it had no water in it, just syrup and ice. I came to this McDonald's because I thought it would be a bit better in other countries than in Spain, but it's just as bad.

I like visiting different McDonald's in other cities; maybe it's the culture, but this one was very limited. There were hardly any cheeseburgers; they weren't included, and you couldn't add them. The McFlurries came with one sauce and one topping, and you couldn't choose anything specific. Again, maybe it's the culture; it was different from others I've been to, but I was disappointed. Expensive food for nothing.

One of the only McDonald’s that does gluten free (despite other places saying they do). The burger needs to be personalised to add the bun as it’s not all separate. Bun is actually decent and good quality.

I would like to express my disappointment regarding my recent visit to your McDonald's location. Unfortunately, the service provided fell short of the minimum expectations a consumer can reasonably have in several respects. My order was delivered incomplete; the sauce and drink were missing. Furthermore, some items had to be picked up from the counter, resulting in me waiting at the table for approximately 45 minutes in vain. Furthermore, the products I received were cold and of subpar quality. Even when I received replacement dishes, such as fries or other items, the quality remained subpar. The fries and hamburgers were cold, and even the coffee did not meet the standard one would expect from your location. This situation not only made the experience unpleasant and unsatisfactory but could legally be considered a breach of the agreed-upon service. One of the ugliest McDonald's I've ever seen. Disinterested staff, dirty place, food delivered in a paper bag even for on-site consumption, and above all, it's poorly attended. Only go there if absolutely necessary.

A typical McDonald's A short walk from Central Station Prices are a bit steep, like Dutch prices... You'll need to factor in the wait time, but they fry your order, so it's always served warm.

This is a review from a Japanese perspective. A full McDonald's breakfast set costs around 1,600 yen, but the food is consistently delicious. A croissant is included instead of fries. There is a fee of 1 euro to use the toilet. I recommend it for a short break.

It's just a regular McDonald's, with rather unfriendly staff and food that's below even the average McDonald's, but the views and location are very good. If you're looking for a McDonald's, this is the best one to go to in the area.

It was awful, the staff didn't care at all. We ordered a croissant, but it wasn't there. No one at the checkout even warned us, and they didn't even put any sauces on it. The burgers were tasteless. I went back a second time because half the order was missing, and the cashier didn't care at all. I threw in two other sauces, and didn't say anything about the croissant until the manager came over and offered a replacement. We also ordered iced tea, but they gave us some tasteless fizzy drink instead.

This is a large McDonald’s location, located on Nieuwendijk, within Amsterdam and is one of the locations in the city to offer Gluten-Free (Glutenvrij) products. The interior is large with plenty of seating, and there is also an upper level. I ordered the Quarter Pounder with Cheese meal; the kiosks had an English language option, which made things easier as I don’t speak Dutch. I found the menu and choices to be vastly complicated; there were so many extras you could add to your meal, including drinks, many of which had different surcharges, and I really struggled ordering because of this. The gluten-free option was also hidden, as you had to go into the regular burger first, and then click customisations to select a gluten-free bun. I did find it to be a little pricey compared to back home in the UK, even for a sachet of sauce; they were charging €0.85. That being said, I did enjoy my meal; the fries were hot and well seasoned, and I did enjoy the Fritessaus to go with them. It was also great to be able to sit in McDonald’s and have a burger with a regular bun; they’d paid attention to my customisations to remove pickles, and I had a pretty good burger which was served in good time. The staff seemed friendly and spoke English, and they tried their best to keep the restaurant area tidy. I did find the “house rules” which were printed around the dining area to be a little strange, but again, the rules were reasonable, and I guess they’ve had problems before, so they felt the need to address it.

Gotta be the slowest McDonald’s in the country. I came here for a McMuffin on 05/10/25 and waited over 20 minutes for a rubbery and stone cold hockey puck. The staff were just chatting amongst themselves and not really attending to orders or the group of waiting customers. My sandwich had been sat on the side for a long while before they bagged it and gave it to me. Really annoying way to start the day.
