McDonald's in De Weteringschans

It had a typical taste for Amsterdam. It was much better than the meat at other burger companies.

They said they sold the Minecraft adult meal but we just got the box for it and a happy meal toy inside. Not like they advertised, we got scammed 💔🚶‍♀️

The employees don't care about what is happening, I tried to communicate about my wrong order and was completely ignored. You have to pay for the toilet! really scandalous after such an overpriced burger

What a toilet lady. If you, as a guest, want to go to the toilet and pay with your debit card, she will stand in front of the gate with her mouth chewing gum and receive the money in her hand. She doesn't talk but gives directions with her hand. She seems very sour and doesn't feel like doing her job. The second time I had to go to the toilet again, she goes to the machine again. She didn't move aside so I didn't go to the toilet. Ridiculous service!

We wanted to eat in the restaurant, the tables were almost all dirty, there were food scraps on the floor, etc. Not recommended

The lady working at the entrance to the toilet (an African American woman) is so unkind, unprofessional and rude. First she chased away the French people who were sitting next to us. Then she came to me and my friend and said that we had to get up, we didn't understand why, and we hadn't even finished eating. She was rushing us. When we ate, we thought we would sit for a few more minutes to take a break, because we had been driving all night, then touring Amsterdam and came here to eat, so we thought we should go. She came right away and said that we had to go because "People need to sit" and was still muttering something to herself. We were uncomfortable even though NO ONE WAS WAITING TO SIT. There were LOTS of free tables, IT WASN'T CROWDED. And why is there a charge for the toilet, especially if we ordered something there?!

Well, without further ado, we went to breakfast and everything was fine 😊

The clerks dancing instead of putting out the hamburgers that I already saw ready from outside. They didn't really want to work, it seems. The black lady in the bathroom was very unpleasant. They charge you to urinate even if you have consumed. Fatal. Everything terrible in general with this place.

A place to eat fast to continue visiting the city. One more of the franchise with nothing to highlight.

It was dirty, everyone left their rubbish on the tables. These were not cleared and cleaned. Shame. The ice cream was delicious

Totally agree with Jesse's review. To pay to use the toilet ? No other Mcdonalds in Europe that I've been to, in cities, charges for this. Put a barcode scanner on it, give a code to paying customers. Charging is wrong. Coffee was ok.

Worst service I have had in a McDonald's on my travels around Europe. The manager was rude, obnoxious and unprofessional. He blamed the system and being busy for his and the staff's lack of efficiency. Service was a farce and this was for just three drinks.

Totally ridiculous having to pay €0.50 for the privilege of using the toilet, despite being a paying customer. I would understand charging people coming in off the street without buying anything but I had bought a hot drink and still had to pay. It might be slightly understandable for a small independent outfit but it is not like a massive corporation like McDonalds is in desperate need of extra revenue. I did not experience this at any other establishment in Amsterdam. As a paying customer I think use of a toilet is just a common human courtesy. The hot chocolate was passable.

Awful worst meal I can remember having

Nice atmosphere, lively people. The guy didn't seem too smart, he gave us things specifically removed from the order, he only gave us hot water, without tea, and now I'm eating with 2 knives. But then, why are pancakes wholemeal?

Stupidly expensive prices, little variety, €0.5 to go to the bathroom, the rats don't even give ketchup, the higher up you go in Spain, the worse the McDonald's are.

the guy that seemed to be te manager was very agressive first of all our order had been switched with another one. when we wanted to say that there was a mistake he just yelled at us and snatched our ticket from our hands to throw it away very aggressivly. when we tried again he didn’t even listen and told us to move on. fortunately her coworker saw us and she helped us but our order was still wrong

The food is the same as always 🙂. But the service is really friendly. They forgot something of my order and I was a little bit rough, but a lady came later to me and she apologized again. That was really nice, thanks! Five stars for the service!

While I was a customer here I went to use the restroom, which required a fee. After I paid the fee and finished using the restroom, I was greeted by a McDonald’s employee who was waiting for me outside the restroom to ask me if I had in fact paid. This was flagrantly disrespectful and wildly unnecessary. I strongly urge anyone to avoid soliciting this business, even and especially if only to use the toilet.

I was on my way to the Joop until I wanted a chicken 6 with sweet and sour sauce. I was given barbecue sauce and when I said something about it the manager threw the sauce with the bag of chicken 6 in my face. A quick bite, but I would have liked to enjoy it a little longer. A blemish on the wonderful Joop evening. By the way, the manager was uglier than the average Leidseplein visitor, so I wish him much sympathy!

The services of the restaurant were bad. The waitress was very rude and kind of racist. Yesterday around 8pm, me and my friends just ordered food and wanted to go inside and eat. The inside door was closed but we saw from the street there were people eating inside. Some customers opened the door for us and then the waitress suddenly shouted at us and kicked us out.(No sign from outside showing it’s closed). Well I can understand if the door was closed, but why not SHOW some PATIENCE and ATTITUDE and kindly EXPLAIN? Without saying anything and started yelling… Btw, she treated us rudely but talked to the white customer who opened the door kindly. Was that racist? I definitely need to complain.

0,5€ for toilet to wash hands. Can't charge phone anywhere in restaurant. Asked worker about charing, he just told no and turned back to me. Bad restaurant.

McDonald's as McDonald's is now. That is The food was as expected in quality. This place cooked the food satisfactorily and the service was quick. There were many more options for food and drink than we are used to. That was delicious. The staff were friendly and efficient as you would expect at a McDonald's. The low score in mood is due to not being able to sit. in fact, there were only ordering machines and they only did take away.

The service was way too slow compared to other McDonald's. There were only few people to be served before me and it took about 15 minutes for a simple burger, salad and bottled water. The location was quite dirty and oily. The overall experience was barely decent.

People were forced to order at the kiosk and they were not convenient for this. And they didn't have peanuts for the ice cream sundae. He had to go to some storage room, ice melted of course. Newly requested of course, hello. So no.

I didn't even have a chance to eat since they don't take cash, what no one tells you until you have the food ordered and go to the register to pay for it. The staff was toxic, specifically the guy who worked there on the 25th April 2024 at 7pm. Are you scared of paper bills? What do you even have the register for?

I ordered veggie nuggets but I got spicy chicken nuggets. When I said this to the man working there, he didn’t believe me at first. He didn’t apologize at all, but I did end up getting my veggie chicken nuggets. He was also a bit rude when I wanted to go to the toilet but it wasn’t available anymore.

However, we encountered a minor issue when trying to access the restroom, as there was an error with our credit card at the entrance. Fortunately, the staff promptly came to our assistance.

Disinterested staff and with no customers in the store, it takes a very long time for 2 cups of coffee, not recommended for coffee, better go to Starbucks across the street

Lovely clean McDonalds .. Great veggie options. Pay to use loo .. but immaculately clean so worth 70 cents

Although it is very busy and there are few staff present (due to the inability to recruit new staff), the staff does their utmost to provide the best service! That's why I'm satisfied; especially if you know that this McDonald's is one of the busier branches. If you are nevertheless not satisfied, make it known. Staff does their best to help you!
