I am giving the McDonald's on Leidsestraat only 1 star because they are not environmentally conscious and because I keep running into the following here Unfortunately, no more Hard Cup Reusable Cups. At this McDonald's on Leidsestraat, the Hard Cup Reusable Cups are sold out How can Hard Cup Reusable Cups be sold out if these are reusable cups

I got a burger after traveling in third world countrys for so long. I had a massive hard on and a tear in my eye like I just lost my virginity

I never ever leave reviews anywhere much less a McDonald’s but I could not believe how ride the staff were. Some girl works. Ponytail and a guy with curly hair working at 3pm on Wednesday walked right past me while I was waiting to order the guy had to be told to take my order by his boss then he rolled his eyes at me when I asked him for water. And the fries were cold.

The meals are prepared in advance and therefore cold, the fries are dry. They forget items on the order. The toilets cost €1, even for customers... and they're dirty too. The staff are unfriendly.

Well such as any other mac, the food is ok. But the place with the tables was stinking💔

Everything went very fast. We had a delicious meal!

A good McDonald’s location considering how busy it is. Usually quite clean. Despite it usually being full, the service is fast and food is received hot.

There’s no hand sanitizer available. Even if you consume, you gotta pay 1 € to use the bathroom. Never seen this in any McDonalds lol found it kinda hilarious and had to share Viva late stage capitalism

The tables and floors are always dirty and sticky; DIY is recommended. The staff is annoyed and rude. They don't use gloves in the kitchen. I don't recommend it.

This morning a Black man yelled because he thought the restroom and dine-in were closed, but they weren't. He was very rude and provided terrible service. Apparently, he was the maintenance man.

No seating available. What a shame.

The manager was unpleasant and didn't encourage customers to eat. There was no seating available. You had to eat standing up in front of the entrance or in the street. The food was poor quality for the price. Several of us experienced severe stomach pain. I do not recommend this place.

Not much to say about McDonald's, except that it's located in the busiest part of town, very convenient if you're busy shopping and rushing through the crowded streets.

They should be ashamed of charging their own clients 1 euro only for entering the bathroom

Paying customers must pay 1 euro each in order to use their bathrooms. Have never seen this anywhere else in the world. Have been here for 5 minutes and the food is not yet ready in spite of few customers so I cannot yet comment on it

The restaurant is like any other in this chain. The service is fast and clean. The food tastes like any McDonald's.

Ordered properly via MyOrder on my McDonald's app with Table Service (there were numbers at the payment terminals). I took a number and placed it on my table. Nothing happened for half an hour. Nothing was brought. After I complained, I heard from the manager that the McDonald's app is incorrect and they don't have any table decorations. Very disappointing. At McDonald's Amstelveen, it works perfectly, and it is busy there too.

The toilets cost money, even for customers!! 🤣 Shameful

I was here on Friday at 1 am, it seemed super busy, and we’ve got the food in about 2 minutess!! Very efficient staff and goood food!!

The service was simply terrible, the waiter almost spilled our drinks. Paid bathroom at this day-and-age is absolutely unacceptable. Receits were printed with almost no colour which could be the reason for a staff member standing by the toilets and asking for an euro to enter, but who knows. The food was warm at best, not hot altough it arrived relativéy quickly. None of the order requests were respected, all 3 of the colas ordered were coke-zeros, tough only one was supoosed to be so, milkshakes were melted. Burgers ordered specifically without cucumbers were despite that request obviously being recognised (as there was a sticker saying so on the box) containing beforementioned cucumbers. Simply the worst mcdonalds (scratch that, fastfood) experience I had in my 24 years on this planet.

You pay for food but if you want to use the bathroom, you need to pay separately for that. I have never, ever seen another McDonalds in Europe that has this kind of bathroom tax. Must be a regional/ national thing here in the Netherlands. Shameful and scammy.

Place smells like a public toilet, service very poor and the waiting time more than 40min

For some reason the food was really bad, didn't taste like McDonald's at all, everything was dry and tasteless. The dine-in area was also closed, so we couldn't eat inside.

Definitely the worst experience I’ve ever had at a McDonald’s. After placing my order and paying for my food, I tried to enter the restroom without knowing there was an additional 1 euro fee. The woman sitting at the restroom entrance suddenly yelled at me to pay, even though there was no clear warning that customers had to pay separately to use the bathroom. When I politely asked why I had to pay if I had already purchased food, she responded in an extremely rude and aggressive way: “Pay and leave, I don’t care.” Then she added, “That’s your problem.” Her attitude was unbelievably disrespectful, hostile, and completely unprofessional. At no point did she try to calmly explain the policy or speak respectfully. Instead, she immediately raised her voice and treated me terribly for simply being confused about the situation. I understand that some places may charge for restroom access, but nothing justifies the way this woman treated paying customers. Honestly, this experience completely ruined our visit and reflects very poorly on this location and its staff.

We had come here for a pit stop, a drink and washroom break. This was the first McDonald's we went to (went to another in Amstelveen and was completely different) that had pay toilets! 0.50 Euros and my husband said the mens room was DISGUSTING! I did like that they brought the drinks to us.

I've seen Macs with a free toilet, I've seen Macs with a receipt-based toilet. Dutchmen, you've outdone everyone with a PAID toilet.

A place with good prices for fast food.

I asked them to add only little ice to my lemonade. They told me they cannot. I paid $7 for it and 90% was ice.

I had a surprisingly perfect experience at this McDonald's location. It’s rare to find a fast-food spot where everything hits a 5-star mark! The food was served hot and fresh, exactly as expected. What really set this visit apart was the service—the team was incredibly fast and the restaurant was kept spotlessly clean. The atmosphere was calm and well-organized, making it a great place for a quick and stress-free bite. Truly a gold standard for how a well-managed franchise should operate!

Its only advantage is that it's cheap.

Artis Zoo pales in comparison! When I entered, there was water and wet paper everywhere on the floor. Cleaning isn't something they consider very important here; that much was clear to me by now. I ordered a Quarter Pounder menu, but the half-wits in the kitchen forgot to include the Quarter Pounder burger itself. When I went back to claim my Quarter Pounder and tried to go back inside, the entrance door was slammed shut in my face almost immediately by an employee in a very aggressive manner, with the statement that the premises were now closed. And oh yeah, the fries were garbage and inedible too, by the way! 1 STAR!

Was there for the bathroom only and it was an OK experience

For no reason at all, I was skipped by 50 people to get my very simple order. It took 30 minutes. I come here for fast service and that’s all.

They forgot everything. And they gave us a tiny little cone.

Staff is yelling, the seating area apparently isn't open in the evening, and when I returned to inquire about a stolen phone, I received a smirk and a smirk from the "manager." That's not necessary. Just do your job (read: communicate properly with your customers). Even if you're being paid minimum wage in the middle of the night to do this work. Marcel, take a little less profit and invest a little more in your staff. It would be good for your business.

Women who was sitting at the toilet was very angry and rough

I regularly order different burgers here without sauce (you can specify that via the ordering terminal) and... I then get them with sauce... How hard is it to give the correct order???

I would like to express my disappointment regarding my recent visit to your McDonald's location. Unfortunately, the service provided fell short of the minimum expectations a consumer can reasonably have in several respects. My order was delivered incomplete; the sauce and drink were missing. Furthermore, some items had to be picked up from the counter, resulting in me waiting at the table for approximately 45 minutes in vain. Furthermore, the products I received were cold and of subpar quality. Even when I received replacement dishes, such as fries or other items, the quality remained subpar. The fries and hamburgers were cold, and even the coffee did not meet the standard one would expect from your location. This situation not only made the experience unpleasant and unsatisfactory but could legally be considered a breach of the agreed-upon service. I trust that you will take this matter seriously and take appropriate action to ensure that similar incidents are prevented in the future. Sincerely,

Honestly, very, very average. Not to say bad. Aside from the very fast service, the hamburger wasn't great (it was cold). It had clearly been prepared way in advance. The salad too. There was a very unpleasant sewer smell and the place was filthy!

There was mold on the fries, really nasty

“We don’t offer trays after 8 o’clock no more.” I have been coming to this one on occasion for over 10 years and it used to be okay (for a McDonalds), but this place has really declined, recently. Mix up orders. Don’t even attempt basic politeness. Like they have really given up. The angry toilet lady barking at customers tops the cake.

You should try the Mackroquet; the staff was very friendly.

I ordered a caramel frappe here. I only managed three sips, and my cup was already empty because it was full of ice. I couldn't drink anything.

Didn’t get my drinks with my order and they didn’t let me pee

Everything was ok (food, personnel, cleanliness, ect.) except one thing: it is not normal to stay with the door open in January at 3°C it is damaging to the customers (I had to stay with my coat on) and for the crew which have to stay all day in cold. For this I give 2 stars. If the door was kept closed I would have gave 3 or 4 stars.

The restrooms are paid, even for visitors, and of course, you can’t wash your hands for free either. The toilets are fairly clean, I always see them being cleaned. However, the stalls are extremely small. There are no shelves for your belongings, nor is there a hook on the door. If you're wearing a coat, you simply won’t be able to turn around in there.

Someone I didn't know picked up my food; it was simply handed to me. When I later asked if my food was still coming, the manager got angry and threatened to call the police and tell me to leave NOW or I'd be banned from the store. The other employees were also very unfriendly, and the whole atmosphere was very hostile. Poor staff. Over €16 worth of food...

Funny people... to wash your hands before eating, you have to pay €1 to enter the restroom. Even if you order.

This thing made me nauseous. I don't know if it's always this bad or if there was something wrong with what they served me. I told the staff without even asking, they just gave me a blank stare and that was it. The rest of the food was just okay.

If I could, I'd give them zero stars. I ordered a hot chocolate, a McFlurry, and a cookie. After 5 minutes, it was placed with the other order, and after waiting another 15 minutes, I walked to the counter myself. I got a coffee instead of hot chocolate, and it wasn't even warm anymore. The ice cream had completely melted. I got the wrong cookie. I went back, was laughed at in my face, but with a lot of effort, I got a new hot chocolate and cookie. DO NOT EAT HERE!

My experience was extremely bad. Some people have to pay to use the restroom, while others don't, even though they're both restaurant customers. They only charge if they feel like it. They're willing to charge some customers, while others aren't. I find it truly outrageous.

Usual Macdonald's food. Had lots of seating options inside, it was clean and comfortable. 1 euro to use the toilet.

This is just like any other McDonald's but it happens to be in Amsterdam. The people behind the counter speak more than one language. They are also not friendly at all. They just call your order and give you the food. The manager is not very nice with his staff. Seems very rough when he talks to them. There is no play area but families with kids come and spend good money for family meals. I have come here twice and always see a person who appears to be a mailman ordering a lot of food. I only get a sandwich and a latte but this man has about 10 sandwiches on his tray and only one drink. That's interesting to me. Anyway this is a nice McDonald's in the center of the city. Near to the tram stops.

Paying for the bathroom even after eating at a restaurant is outrageous, and even worse is doing so thinking it will be clean and not at all...

It's just a McDonald's meal – you get what you expect. The downside, however, is that even as a customer, you have to pay €1 to use the restroom. I've never experienced that before, and it's not due to the cleaning effort. They have a dedicated employee who sits at the turnstile and says "Cash or Card" – this employee could be used much better FOR the customer. At least children could use the restroom for free, so it gets an extra star.

We had an incredibly bland hamburger. We tried it twice, on different days, and it was still bad. We had the Big Arch and the Double Big Tasty. It was delicious.
