McDonald's in Overdie

Like all others, however this time there was a lady showing us the door as they had a not showing policy about bringing other food into the place even though we ordered 2 whole menu's of mc donalds.

A spacious McDonald's located along the eastern ring road of Alkmaar. I generally find the atmosphere at this branch pleasant, as it is spaciously laid out with nice seating areas and benches. However, many parents with young children visit, so the sound of screaming, crying, and general noise can sometimes be irritating to some people. On the other hand, this McDonald's is very clean. The floor is clean too. I have been there several times, but there is no mess lying on the floor like fries, etc. It is also nice that air conditioning is available. I was there when it was over 30 degrees outside and felt it was a breath of fresh air. This McDonald's chain is best reached by car, but it is also possible by bicycle if you are familiar with Alkmaar. Public transport is not accessible as far as I know. You can order food yourself via large touchscreens (six of them are available), and you can select a table number so that your order is brought to you. This happens quite quickly, by the way. The quality of the snacks seems better somehow, but it remains McDonald's quality.

A McDonald’s just as you’d expect. Unfortunately, coming from Germany, I’m used to a fairly good range of plant-based options, which aren’t really available at this McDonald’s (or in the Netherlands in general?). There’s very little choice, and what there is is often marked as sold out. It’s a shame – they could do more with it.

Great service from the first lady, but the second lady who gave me food and drink was very unfriendly. I asked, "Is the straw in the pocket?" She said, "We don't do that for soft drinks." I said, "Seriously?" She said, "Yes, have a nice evening," and slammed the window shut. Never had this experience before; the people here are always nice.

The staff are polite and sociable. I recommend eating here rather than at the McDonald's in the shopping center. It is less crowded, more hygienic, and has more seating. The toilet is also free.

It is a Mac......not much to say about it

McDonald's drive-thru… the whole order wrong. How do you manage that? Where there shouldn't be onions and pickles, there actually is, and where everything is allowed, there is absolutely nothing. In other words, a bun with a bone-dry piece of “meat”? Or whatever it was supposed to be. And then the fries… half-frozen, undercooked. 3 servings of fry sauce missing. And so on. And this was for an order of 2 burgers and a Happy Meal.

If you have a dog with you, you are not allowed to enter.

Not the coziest place to sit, but the food is good. For what you get at McDonald's, that is.

I took a quick pee break after sitting in the car for a long time and being stuck in traffic on the A9.

The employee/manager was really not friendly on Sunday. She told me rather urgently that it was really very busy (?, many empty tables) and that everyone would get their turn. After I mentioned that I had actually ordered earlier than the rest of the group, another very friendly lady suddenly appeared with an apology that it had taken a little longer and that something had gone wrong. Given the tone of lady 1, I would have liked to have received that apology from lady 1. Too bad, a missed opportunity for the smile that the MC is there for.

SUPER customer-unfriendly man. A manager (a full-figured man) who does NOT think along with his customers. You order a salad, apparently it is the salad without chicken. You go over there immediately (after it has been brought) for a solution and he even wants to pay extra “no, it is what it is,” he says in a stern tone, and then get into an unnecessary discussion??! But in my opinion, you are supposed to look and think along with the customer. His face already radiates UNFRIENDLINESS. NEVER AGAIN TO THIS MAC.

It's nice for once in a while. Luckily we don't have children, otherwise it would be unaffordable. Clean tables!!! Very nice.

It started right away with it taking almost 15 minutes before I got my food. I've never experienced that at a McDonald's, and then I start on my drink, which I paid 4.30!!!! for, and suddenly I'm already at the bottom of the drink—what do you think? 2/3 full of ice, fucking ridiculous for 4.30.

The lady who helped me at the drive-thru really needs to be fired! What an incredibly rude person.

Wow, what terrible service. I ordered a hamburger and got chicken nuggets. When I walked back to the window, the employee grabbed the bag and didn't even listen. Came back with the hamburger and said nothing... pretty weird move by McDonald's.

I ordered a wrap and a milkshake to take away. After a long workday, I came home, started eating, and it turned out the chicken in the wrap was simply raw. Truly bizarre. Serving raw meat is not only disgusting but also dangerous. It was ordered less than an hour ago, so you can probably easily see who prepared this. This was the last time for me.

Haven't been to this McDonald's in a very long time and I see they have renovated it. It looks good. Otherwise, it's the same burgers etc. that you can expect from other McDonald's.

There is an incredible amount of ice cream in a McFlurry these days. You really have to sit down and take your time with it.

It is a bit chilly inside and the ladies' restroom is out of order. Otherwise, just a fine McDonald's.

First time to the MC with my 3 year old daughter. If she gets her happy meal, she misses the burger.🙈 It was promptly resolved by the staff.

Always a great restaurant for a quick bite since school 20 years ago. Today, a sleeping employee forgot the burgers on the cheeseburger 🍔. I went back and got six extra chicken nuggies and a big apology. Shame on the employee, but +5 stars for Alkmaar 👍🏼💪🏻🔥

Always fast food. Sometimes they forget something, but even then you get your food quickly. Always hot. I pass two McDonald's locations to eat at this one. It's a shame the playground equipment has been closed for over two months. But there must be a reason for that.

Large, clean McDonald's. The staff are friendly. The food is of the usual standard.

Very dirty everywhere. Seemed to be cleaned very less. In the men’s restroom where feces on walls and paper-roll as well as in sink.

McDonald's clearly doesn't cater to children. The play area is often closed rather than open. The sound of children playing is also unacceptable in a McDonald's.

After the renovation, this McDonald's is even more beautiful. There's always room, and the food is good. The table service is also a welcome addition.

Personally, I prefer the old decor. It has a bit more of a 70s look now. The help was really helpful, though. It's nice that someone went the extra mile to get a Happy Meal figurine out of the display case and searched for 10 keys to open it, but in the end, she succeeded. My daughter was thrilled! 👍🏻Thanks!!!

Very nice place and nice food and delivery

Went here for dinner last night with my family. I really wanted the Friends menu with the dolls, and the manager was very helpful! A staff member even gave my daughter a little something extra! A fantastic experience.

Holy shit, nothing is fresh at this McDonald's. Really poor quality.

McDonald's has been renovated, and the space has become larger, which is a plus. However, the interior is very dull and basic. The new Big Arch hamburger is good. One minor complaint is that employees empty trash cans and change bags between and next to customers, which isn't very welcoming.

Hi Macy, 10 minutes before I went to the bathroom, I was supposed to wash my hands, and that manager was there too, but he wouldn't wash his hands. And he's pacing around in the kitchen. I find that very unsanitary and not nice.

It's really annoying that the disabled parking spaces are being occupied by people who DON'T have a disabled parking permit. If you raise a concern, they look at you like, "What are you doing to me?"

10 minutes waiting just to get cold food

Worst McDonald's in the area. They simply can't get your order right. Meanwhile, you're constantly paying for something they don't deliver.

I quickly grabbed a meal... normally delicious, but this time the fries were half-raw, and the hamburger had more onion than iceberg lettuce... but when I needed to use the restroom, someone had peed on the floor... it smelled terrible, and there was feces on the toilet paper holder. I reported it to the person in charge, and he promised it would be taken care of. After the meal, I tried to use the restroom again, and unfortunately, it was still the same... and it wasn't even busy. There's also a woman working there with a headscarf hanging loosely over her shoulder, and she keeps going over the food. I find that very distasteful. Not that this woman wears one, because I respect that, but she could also tie it up so it doesn't get caught in the food she brings to the table.

I paid but didn't get any food, even with proof of payment. There was a glitch in their payment system, so they blamed the customer for the problem.

The nicest and cleanest McDonalds in Netherlands (we’ve been to most of them). But, the sodas are still priced at highway robery rates. Just don’t expect US efficiency and speed at a fast-food restaurant in Holland.

Even though the drive didn't go "completely" smoothly, Lyenne helped us out again and we were given drinks on the house. So sweet, and we'll definitely be back!

I ordered a milkshake with a disposable cup, and paid a 30-cent plastic surcharge for it. I ended up getting a plastic cup. I didn't get my money back. Delicious milkshake. Fast service.

Ronduit vies. Full rubbish bins everywhere, slippery floor and tables that stuck to you. Manager approached: "well, I had a coffee break". Dit was troep van een paar uur. Zicht op de keuken: om misselijk van te worden. Overal voedsel op de grond. Echt goor!! Onprofessionele houding van personeel.

I go here a lot. All the workers are super nice but I don’t think they’re properly trained. I was really looking forward to my large fries tonight (brought to us by what looked like a manager, same one who forgot the fry sauce for the person in front of me) and then I nearly cried when I saw this half empty box with none extra in the bag 🤣😭 I don’t normally write reviews but I was so hungry and looking forward to that large fry for hours so it was disappointing enough to write a review about.

That was really good. I am really happy with McDonald's. I had coffee and I had fish fillet and I ordered Max Chicken burger and because that was really really good. I eat at McDonald's two or three times a week and I am really happy with McDonald's in Purmerend and sometimes in Zaandam, sometimes Amsterdam. I give you advice, because they try. Thanks

Vega burger had real meat on the burger. There was a vegetarian sticker on it, but it turned out to be real meat. No apologies during the exchange, they didn't say a word. In addition, the MC Flurry was also incorrectly composed.

Last Friday evening, February 28, around 10:10 PM, I was with a colleague at this McDonald's restaurant Robijnstraat 1 to have something to eat. While we were eating there we saw a McDonald employee walking around in the kitchen with a cigarette butt in his mouth. He also filled the bags of fries. This man also had different clothes than the other employees, so probably a managerial position. I find this unacceptable!!!

Food was not brought to the table, it was already cold on the counter, it was dirty, there was dirt everywhere, staff walked around like headless chickens. This was the last time for a while

Took a while for the food to arrive. Wasn't busy. Food not very hot either. Mozzarella sticks a bit tough. Very neat and a slightly different design compared to other locations. Staff friendly.
