After a day out in the Netherlands, Metro is the perfect place to end the day with dinner. The food is tasty and reasonably priced. The service is attentive and friendly.

Amazing service, we were a big group coming from Cybersec Netherlands and they attended us extremely well. Speaking with reservations was nice and easy, and the food was amazing. The staff working was also very nice and attentive. I would definitely recommend this place!

Very unfriendly staff; we wanted to pee. The owner didn't react nicely to this; he slapped my girlfriend's butt and challenged us to a fight. Very aggressive staff. It looked like they had snorted cocaine.

Limited choice; for example, a delicious fried egg dish was missing from the menu. It was also not possible to deviate from this at our request.

Friendly and helpful staff. Particularly convenient location next to large offices and the station, making it a good location where there is always plenty to see. The food was adequate. I found my brown brie sandwich neatly and nicely presented, but the brie didn't necessarily taste very good. That's why I gave it 4 stars (corrected from the initial 3 stars).

Today, as a group, we had lunch at Metro City Kitchen for the 5th time, and the food was delicious again, the service top-notch, and the ambiance cozy. Because we always come with a fairly large group, it is not always easy for the chef to put food on the table for everyone at the same time, and yet they manage it every time! The service is superb; sweet, polite ladies and gentlemen who do everything to ensure you have a wonderful afternoon, which is why we keep coming back every six months. Nothing is too much trouble for them! A solid 10 for Metro City Kitchen!

The overpriced bar snacks and the various snack platters were really disappointing in terms of taste. They try to make something special out of it, but they miss the mark (with the snacks).

Came in for dinner while in town and liked it. Service was excellent. Our server was did my and explained things. ***One note - my mother left her purse behind and was worried about but our sever set it aside to make sure it was safe. It was picked up the next day and everything was safe and sound. My mother commented the server and thanked her with a nice tip of appreciation. Honestly like that is no longer common, so it impressed us.*** The food was good, however the helpings felt small. Overall we enjoyed our meal, our beers, and like the open vibe with so much glass letting in the natural light. One thing to keep in mind is that if you come when the sun is shining in - you might want to bring your sunglasses.

We got a table without a menu. And then we grabbed a menu ourselves. The waiter came to take our drinks order, but we hadn't looked yet. Because it was 3:45 PM, we were in a time vacuum. We couldn't have lunch, but we couldn't have dinner either. So we left. left

Came for a drink with colleagues. Pleasant time in the sun on the terrace, a reasonable selection of beer, soft drinks, and spirits, and quick service.

We had a pleasant chat with a group of 15 after our visit to the Titanic Experience at the Jaarbeurs. The spot reserved inside was less suitable for our group, which was on average older, due to the stools without armrests. The employee immediately arranged another nice spot outside for us. He was also quick with taking orders and serving drinks and snacks. Everything was great.

Had a delicious lunch at Metro, with a fantastic dessert as well. Our musical (Le Moulin Rouge) fell through, but fortunately the staff managed to arrange other outings (Titanic). Highly recommended!!

Had a delicious meal, friendly service. It was a good choice to round off our staff outing. The location is also great, especially if you are taking public transport home.

The reception is great. We had a delicious lunch; there is plenty of staff walking around to signal when your glass is empty or if you want to order something else. Service is also quite fast, and despite the crowds, we were served drinks and food quickly. We will definitely come back again.

It is always busy when you come here, but the staff is well managed and everything runs smoothly despite the crowds. The atmosphere is fine, but due to the noise, you can barely hold a conversation with your party at the table, especially if you are seated under the lower section. I have been three times now and enjoyed it every time; the food and drinks are delicious.

The food was tasty and good! One member of the wait staff was very grumpy; she shouldn't be working in the hospitality industry... unfortunately, she served our table. If you aren't taking orders, indicate that you are asking a colleague to go over... otherwise, a nice atmosphere and a beautiful place. Nice place to have lunch in the sun

We had a team outing today and dined at your place. I ordered the red snapper fillet myself. To my surprise, it consisted of three very small pieces of fish, about 2 cm each. Sometimes, as a consumer, I get the feeling that you are not being taken seriously. When you pay around €23 for a menu, surely you would expect the portion to be a bit more generous than a few pieces of fish totaling the size of a toddler's little finger. What struck me most was that colleagues who had ordered the satay did receive a reasonably well-filled skewer. Because of this, I don't quite understand the ratio between the different dishes. Of course, not every dish needs to contain exactly the same amount, but in this case, the price-quality ratio of the red snapper fillet felt disappointing. It's a shame, because the taste was good, just a bit dry, but that is presumably due to the small portion size.

Inside there is an elevated area where I couldn't have a normal conversation due to the noise. In the lower areas this problem does not appear. It's a very cozy place anyway. Love the food. Staff could be more attentive but are very friendly. 4 stars due to the inability to have a normal conversation in the elevated area.

A decent spot for drinks around Utrecht Central Station. The staff is a bit makeshift and sometimes needs some encouragement, which regularly causes delays. They have a good menu of snacks. The sharing platter is well-stocked, but the price reflects that.

The reception was fine. After that, the service quickly went downhill. The second drink with lunch was not served. We had to chase it up ourselves. He checked this, another staff member made it seem like there was an issue with the system, "what did you order again?" We were able to order again after lunch. No apology, which is the least they could do. Also, the staff says nothing when you leave afterwards. The food was good, but the overall experience was unsatisfactory.

Booked in advance for the City Run. What a surprise that the run went through the restaurant and there was live music. The staff were all very nice and the food was delicious. We will definitely be back.

Worthless and not customer-oriented. Ordered a smoothie that was mistaken; they indicated that this was not the case, and we didn't drink it but still had to pay for it. That is not how you treat guests. We will never come back.

We had business dinner here with a group of 13 people after an event at the Jaarbeurs. We had pleasant contact with Bo beforehand and coordinated everything for the dinner. Despite it being busy, there was a nice atmosphere, good food, and a good vibe.

The staff looks at you ten times but decides to serve the table that arrived ten minutes after you. I waited patiently for 30 minutes before being helped. Then I left. The atmosphere is very good. The service is downright terrible. The waiter also ignores many tables. Too bad.

We had booked a theater performance and wanted a quick meal. We were seated near the entrance and exit, which wasn't ideal; it was cold every time. We requested a different table and were promptly accommodated. Then we ordered our food, and the food was excellent and served quickly. It's a great place with excellent staff. Highly recommended.

I chose the cod as my main course on recommendation, but it was far too salty. The service was friendly, but despite it being very quiet, they weren't very attentive to getting me a drink. Fortunately, they did offer tea because of the salty food. A convenient and quite atmospheric place to meet near the station, but not recommended for the food.

At first a little bit skeptical but after was pretty convinced. From the outside it looked and felt smaller but inside its huge. Food was served and was actually amazing. Fact that its conveniently located at the train station makes it even better.

I had my farewell reception at Metro City Kitchen. I received a wonderful welcome, and they had a special spot set up upstairs on the mezzanine. Thanks to the excellent service, I thoroughly enjoyed my farewell! Afterward, we had a delicious meal with a smaller group.

The food was truly delicious. Despite the large number of staff present, we didn't really feel seen. The acoustics were poor due to the high ceiling.

Our group's wishes and any exceptions we requested were fully met; it was a great experience. They also accommodated our preferred time slots, allowing us to continue with our program.

We visited the Winterdome on the Jaarbeursplein with Sweco for Christmas dinner. We enjoyed a delicious walking dinner with friendly staff and a great location right on the ice rink.

Unfortunately, there's a real problem with the service. We see plenty of staff, but during the Christmas rush, there's no process, and our drinks are literally waiting at the counter for 20 minutes, so I have to get them myself and tell the barmaid I'll pick them up myself. Even got a reprimand from a staff member for not doing that... phew... Work to be done. The food was good, though!

Mostly its too busy and there are not enough staffs.last two times when we got hot drinks was already cold because it was ready at the bar and there were no one to bring it on the table. Will not visit anymore.

Had dinner here with a group of colleagues. We were seated at a beautifully set table in the greenhouse (with Christmas decorations), with friendly service from Marijn, who also showed his interest in our company (nice!). Coats were neatly hung up for us, and we were allowed to put our laptop bags in the wine cellar, keeping the (limited) space at the table free. The food was good; the mackerel appetizer was a bit small but very flavorful, and the sirloin steak was delicious—the portion of fries that came with it could have been a bit larger. However, after we mentioned this, we were immediately given more fries. The Primitivo wine that was served with it paired well with the meat and sauce. We opted for a starter, main course, and dessert. All in all, a great place to eat, especially for groups!

Our company organized a Christmas drinks reception with snacks at Metro Kitchen for just under 60 people. Bo from sales was incredibly helpful, and every email question was answered quickly. The evening itself went smoothly, and the staff were very friendly. The location was a bit noisy, but that certainly added to the atmosphere.

Trendy grand café and restaurant. On the right, comfortable seating and tables for drinks, and on the left, a variety of dining tables. The coffee is good and the food is truly delicious. The service is very friendly and professional. Although located outside the city center, this café-restaurant is right in the heart of Utrecht's public transport network. Highly recommended as a meeting point for friends and others who are traveling to Utrecht by public transport.
