A little disappointed, but maybe the Dutch like it.

The welcome was cold and unpleasant. The breakfast served bore absolutely no resemblance to what was advertised on the menu. Furthermore, our plates were cleared away before we had finished. Very disappointing

It is located in a very touristic area that's why it is crowdy. Dishes are not so impressive

I highly recommend this restaurant; the staff are very friendly and helpful, and the food is fresh and delicious.

A perfect little gem in Amsterdam. Very well located and super cozy, especially on a freezing night. We arrived around 11 pm and were so happy it was still open. Inside felt warm and welcoming, the service was amazing, and the food was absolutely delicious. Such a lovely spot to end the day highly recommended!

I was almost forced to leave a review. They put a sign on your table and said, "Good review please." The waitress asked how much I wanted to tip, which I found very strange. This is Europe, not America, where tipping is the norm. You can certainly ask if we want to tip, but directly asking how much is truly bizarre. After I said I wouldn't tip, she looked at me angrily and frustrated. It all felt very forced, but the food was "okay."

It was our last day in Amsterdam, we were just having a drink and happened to look at the menu. I'm glad we did, we shared a mix of meat and cheese crackers it was delicious

This is really a gem, the service was the best I ever had in Amsterdam, Evita was really friendly from the first second. The food in general was so tasty and the fish was amazing.

Excellent service. The employee Evita made all the difference in the service, very helpful and friendly. I ordered fish and it was very tasty. The pasta is also wonderful. The chef is flexible, he swapped the vinaigrette for the vegetables I requested. I will definitely return.

Saturday evening between 6-9pm this is the perfect Hotspot for a dinner, drink and talk. Amazing staff and fast service. Loved the (Morroccan) mint tea. Thankyou

A Masterclass in How Not to Do Italian I rarely write negative reviews, but our experience at Mio in Amsterdam deserves a public service announcement. For a restaurant claiming Italian heart, it showed none, especially toward anyone eating vegan. Aside from the obligatory bruschetta, there wasn’t a single vegan dish on the menu. I was assured the kitchen would “take care of it,” so I agreed to let the chef surprise me. The “surprise”? A bare pizza base brushed with a whisper of tomato sauce. No onion, no tomatoes, no peppers, no olives, not even a stray basil leaf. Just a sad, crimson circle of disappointment. Calling it a pizza would be an insult to both Naples and common sense. My wife’s tiramisu was worse. It tasted supermarket-sweet, with a thick snowfall of cocoa seemingly there to mask the poor mascarpone underneath, heavy, flat, and joyless. Service was polite but perfunctory, and the overall vibe screamed tourist churn over hospitality. Mio sits in a high-footfall area and seems content to cash in rather than cook with care. Amsterdam has plenty of places where you can feel the craft in every bite; sadly, this isn’t one of them. Verdict: If you value genuine Italian cooking, thoughtful vegan options, or just basic culinary pride; look elsewhere.

Great little pizza shop. Didnt take photo of the pizza we shared but tavle next to us all had some and look amazing. We had some drinks to get out of rain.

My fiancée and I Visited on a rainy night in Amsterdam after a long train ride in from Brussels. We were looking for something to eat before finding a place to watch the football - we did not have to, the guys here put the Liverpool match on for us even though Ajax were also playing this night!!! Pizzas and beer were ordered and thoroughly enjoyed! Staff were above excellent, we were looked after so well. The Barolo wine was excellent and the tiramisu was divine!! Price was very reasonable too :-) We will not hesitate to return as the burrata looked incredible too! Do not miss your opportunity to eat at Mio when in the city.

Wageh was our water and very good food. Will be coming back

Good day to every guest of this wonderful establishment. This is my fifth visit to this restaurant. Every two years my daughter and I visit Amsterdam and visit this restaurant. The menu has changed, but not dramatically. We had a very tasty meal, the atmosphere and service were excellent. Gratitude to the chef for deliciously prepared dishes. An unforgettable experience. My wife and I sat down for a quiet dinner and were greeted very warmly. The staff was professional and flexible with our requests. The wines and food were excellent. We tried everything we could from the menu: pizza, pasta, and meat dishes. They left us speechless! We'll be back soon.

The pasta dishes were delicious; we tried about five dishes! And all were very good and filling.

CATASTROPHIC! Avoid this restaurant. Never seen before. We waited an hour for our starter and main course, even though the restaurant was far from full! In the end, we got our starter and main course at the same time…! The staff was rude: the waitress doesn't manage the kitchen, it's not her problem. The dishes were really nothing extraordinary. To cap off this wonderful dinner… When it came time to pay, they charged us 20 euros for service…! What a shame!

I stopped in for a late dinner (10:30 pm) and was very impressed. Sylvia was very kind and attentive and the food and wine was excellent. I had the scallops and lasagna bolognese. The prices were very reasonable as well.

We arrived weary from travel and discovered this little gem when most local restaurants were closed. We had the English breakfast and the Scrumble. Both were delicious, very satisfying and good value. Service was friendly as well. Clean bathrooms are always nice too. Thank you!

That was a total disaster, first they bring us the wrong food, then they bring us something that we didn’t even order, and they told us that we ordered that. I ordered chicken burger, but at first they bring me beef burger, I asked to change that. Than they bring me burned burger, that was not really delicious. Only the 4 formaggi pizza was nice, everything else was bad. It was very dry and the chicken was not nice. If you want to eat nice this is not the place you looking for
