Fantastic restaurant in Amsterdam Oost! Lovely blend of Lebanese cuisines and middle eastern flavors of Eastern Mediterranean style. We can’t wait to try more on the menu!

Lebanese fine dining that they have succeeded in doing well. Good service and nice place. Popular for larger groups and couples. Fresh pita is served when ordered which is a big plus.

Truly a fantastic and unique shop! The tasting menu is highly recommended!

We have the most fantastic food last night at Mitts. Lebanese isn't my favorite cuisine, but after that dinner I might have to reconsider. We ordered the mezze and everything was prepared to perfection. Particular highlights include the burrata tomato (the temperature difference between the cheese and tomato was so thoughtful), the chicken packed with flavor and most surprisingly, the cucumber salad. I am always skeptical of cucumber salad in restaurants because it often just tastes like nothing, but this one was carefully pickled and dressed to perfection. The only regret is that we were too full for dessert (victimized by the delicious bread)!

We are from out-of-town and stumbled across Mitts on chose it because of the charming patio and shareable menu. We celebrated a birthday and enjoyed it so much! The food is simply delicious! Our server was warm, attentive and lovely. Highly recommend!

We recently ate here and were pleasantly surprised. We were hesitant at first because the menu is heavily plant based (we are big meat eaters) but quickly realized that meat does not make the meal. In fact, the vegetarian options were our favorites. Every bite was fantastic. Conor, our sever, was incredible. He was very personable and knowledgeable and a joy to be around. Thanks Mitts for the amazing experience.

Did not feel welcomed at the place. The mushroom dish was quite horrible. We were very excited to visit Mitts but had a bad experience. Maybe not something that happens with everyone but sure wasn’t nice.

Our first time there and we loved it! Honestly cannot recommend just one dish, we ordered a la carte and everything was delicious (scorched aubergine, hummus, baba ghanoush, potato latkes, chicken from the bbq, coconut Malabi and the labneh ice cream). Service was also great. Would definitely recommend Mitts!

It's been a long time since my boyfriend and I had such a good meal in Amsterdam. Truly all the dishes surprised us. The delicious latkes with aoli, the artichoke cream with the sourdough bread, the tender chicken with crunchy chili and the koftes in tomato sauce, everything tasted special, perfectly balanced and simply remarkably delicious. When the desserts (date crème brulée and labneh honey ice cream) turned out to be delicious, I almost had tears in my eyes haha. Definitely recommended.

If the kitchen can consistently produce the quality of food we had last night, this restaurant will be in demand for a long time. Attentive service made for a lovely experience. We will be back.

Big compliments to the food and service! The quality of the food is amazing, with beautiful, pure, and deep flavors! The shared dishes overlapped beautifully. Applies to both meat and vegetarian dishes. And the beers from Lowlander were delicious!

I don't recommend the place. Me and my husband had dinner here tonight, but in 1.5 hours after we left he started having very strong symptoms of food poisoning (didn't eat anything else before or after dinner). On top of that, the food was so expensive compared to how little portions we got. Everything tasted good but was annoyingly small portions for the price. Service was nice, no complaints there.

Encontramos la comida bien, pero las porciones eran muy pequeñas y demasiado caro! Nosotros cinco diferentes Mezze (entrantes), entre los que se encuentran Baba Ganoush, y Humus, y remolacha asada, y algunos otros todavía. La remolacha asada no sabía ni parecía asada, pero estaba bien. Era una pequeña remolacha, cortada en cuatro partes, y había un poco de nata desordenada en el plato en el que se servía. Aparentemente esa era la burrata: la cantidad habría cabido en una cuchara de café. Este Mezze cuesta 13 , 50 . El Baba Ganoush estaba bien y también el Humus (no excelente, hemos probado mucho mejor, también en Amsterdam) , pero es que era tan poca sustancia, que nos sorprendió, y no feliz. Tanto Baba como Humus estaban repartidos, solo en el borde de los platos en los que se servían; dos cucharadas de cada uno, nada en el medio del plato: por 9, 50 euros por plato. Luego pedimos dos supuestos "platos principales" y recibimos un palito de no más de 100 gramos de pollo, en otra lamida de humus. algunas semillas de pino, sin pita. y un soucer con tres mini - hamburguesas de carne picada: el cordero köfte, con una cuchara de yogur. Eso fue todo. No hay ensalada, no hay nada de lado: esos fueron los platos fuertes; a razón de 23 euros cada uno. Vaya. ¿Nos perdimos algo? Pagamos una factura de 154 euros al final de la tarde y nos fuimos a casa con hambre. La chica que nos atendió fue muy amable y agradable, y tenía un buen sentido del humor. . Supongo que ella también lo necesita. El lugar es acogedor, con asientos cómodos, almohadas, mesas de madera, velas parpadeando en el medio y la comida está bien, pero nos fuimos a casa arruinados y a la cama hambrientos y no vamos a volver a Mitts, y no recomendaremos a nadie para ir allí.

Booked this restaurant for an evening dinner on my birthday and it did not disappoint! The food was incredible and the price was reasonable. Very much enjoyed the experience would totally recommend! Will come definitely back !

Nice place with good pita and very creamy hummus with apricot oil. We went in the afternoon on Sunday for a light dinner and it was not crowded at all. Walk ins get a seat and the service was friendly and quick. My personal highlight were the potato latkes, which were crispy and juicy at the same time and served with toum.

Had dinner here again yesterday with the two of us after having been there twice before. I wanted to write a review because we were disappointed. Many dishes were similar (almost all had a labneh-like covering and almost all had a spicy bite) and the taste of the products was this time or meaningless (the flavor was on the cauliflower, it had not been absorbed and in our opinion it was just not cooked long enough, meat also had no taste; previously some of it came from the green egg but we think this is no longer used (?)) or too much (eggplant was too smoky in our opinion, so my wife left it). even standing). For a menu (without dessert by the way) you get 2 falafel as a starter, a few olives, half an eggplant, half a ball of burratta with 1 (!) segment of beetroot, and half a bowl with pickled vegetables and as a main course 2 small köfte and half a cauliflower. In the end the food was enough (due to the “sauces” on the dishes with the bread supplied). What is the bad aftertaste for deciding to write this review? I think the price. What I wrote above costs just under 40 euros. Add to this that the cheapest bottle of red wine on the menu is around 50 euros (we ultimately opted for a glass of 9 euros...). Less is more, certainly, but for us the flavors must be pronounced but balanced and the price-quality ratio is in order. As far as we were concerned, this was our last time at Mtis. If anything changes, we would like to come back again.

We had our wedding dinner with a large group of friends and family at Mitts. The food was delicious and full of options, and the wines were great and fitting. The staff were very friendly and genuine, extremely accommodating and professional and made our wedding evening smooth and pleasant. All our guests were really happy with the experience! We are really grateful to Mitts for giving us an unforgettable evening on such an important occasion for us.

Really delicious food and very good service. We like to eat out and are good cooks, we were really surprised by how good it was. The menu is very good value for money, the flavors are surprising, everything is perfectly balanced. Drinks generously poured. Very nice service (quite rare in Amsterdam). Compliments! The only thing that was "less" was the acoustics. But you have a lot of that with those deep buildings on Javastraat. But if you are hearing impaired, I would find a quieter time.

This the one restaurant in Amsterdam where we keep coming back with different friends groups and it's always a hit with everyone. Casual, fun, good vibes. Delicious food, friendly service and dare we say - value for money. I like how they let the veggies shine and even a carnivore can enjoy the vegetarian feast they prepare. The price point is also great, the mezze option allows you to try almost everything on the menu. One improvement point - it can get very loud sometimes, so maybe some rugs on the walls can help absorb the noise a little bit?

Mitts is one of my favorite restaurants in Amsterdam! We have been coming here for years and it never disappoints. The food is great and everything fresh and full of flavour, the atmosphere is cozy and the service very friendly. I eat vegan myself and always have plenty of choice here. The smokey miso eggplant has been our favorite for years, but the barbecue mushrooms with hummus or the herbed falafel with lemon tahini never disappoint. And don't forget the salted caramel truffles for dessert, they taste amazing!

Despite the crowds, the service was good and the food fantastic, we will be back soon!

Lovely place, extremely nice service (but there were few people there when we came so it might not be relevant), the handsome waiter from Poland was super friendly :) The sharing menu was super good, we tried many dishes & everything was super nice-looking, tasty, and fresh & the portions size is perfect for two hungry adults. Huge recommendation! We’ll definitely be back once in Amsterdam
