Cozy, but unfortunately the food was disappointing We dined at Moeke as a couple. The atmosphere and location are cozy, and we liked the mustard soup. Unfortunately, the rest of the food was quite a letdown. The Caesar salad consisted mainly of a lot of croutons with very little lettuce, and the chicken was a deep-fried schnitzel. The Asian fries were limp and quite greasy, and we didn't like the peanut sauce. In total, we spent €101.50 for 2 people, including drinks, soup, and bread. To be honest, for that amount, we had expected more quality and freshness from the food. It's a shame, because the ambiance is absolutely cozy. Hopefully, this was just a one-off, because with a bit more attention to the dishes, it would have been a much better experience for us.

We stayed overnight at the hotel and, given our good experiences at Moeke in Breda, thought we couldn't go wrong with a bite to eat "at the neighbors." Unfortunately, the experience was not that of the Ginnekenmarktje. The terrace looked a bit messy and the food was lukewarm. My fancy fries had to be sent back to the kitchen for a hot version, which was fortunately brought quickly. What struck us was that tables around us remained full of glasses, crumbs, and napkins dancing around for a long time after guests had already left. It felt as though the team would benefit from a bit more guidance and attention to hospitality. I believe that would improve the experience for guests and, I imagine, also increase the job satisfaction of the hard-working team. Is there a Meyer Academy that provides for this? If not: highly recommended!

Way below the quality of what Moeke herself would ever have wanted. Long wait, mediocre service, and the steak was medium instead of rare. In that case, Michelin stars are actually still too much…

It's a shame I can't give more than 5 stars because wow, what a fantastic place this is. Very nice atmosphere, friendly waiters, and delicious food. If something was wrong, it was fixed in 3 seconds. It's a pity it's a bit out of the way, because I would recommend this to everyone. Thank you for the top-notch food.

The food tasted really good, but it seemed like my tenderloin had been sitting under a heat lamp for 30 minutes and was ice cold within 5 minutes. The service was very poor; after our first drink, we had to wait half an hour for the menu, and once we had ordered, it took an hour before we got our starter, after which it took 45 minutes for the main course. It's a shame the food tastes so good here, otherwise you would have gotten 1 star. Also, people around us who arrived later got their food, menus, and drinks much earlier, even though there were two of them; the couple next to us arrived 30 minutes later and was gone within an hour. We sat there for more than 3 hours! The coffee was cold, and we had to wait more than 20 minutes for our dessert. The floor inside is also truly disgusting! What a disgrace.

Unfortunately, this was not a pleasant experience. We waited more than an hour for our food. The burger was very hard. The children's meal was supposed to include fries, but there weren't any. The wait staff only came by frequently to ask if we wanted more drinks. We asked for a group photo, and one of us wasn't fully in the picture. Unfortunately, I don't know if this is worth a second visit.

We had dinner at Moeke tonight. Something went wrong with the reservation, but we were still able to get a seat at an available table. We had a delicious pot of mussels. Very friendly staff. We had a lovely evening. Definitely recommended.

We had a tasty meal, the service was prompt. The price-quality ratio was good.

The food was very tasty, but we had to wait a very long time for our food, and the tables near us and around us were cleared very late; this does not give a well-presented impression, even though the food is good. Toilet paper was not refilled despite a request. Parts of the terraces had been closed off all afternoon for groups that apparently were not going to arrive until late afternoon.

Truly a top-notch place. Friendly staff, delicious pancakes (you name it, they'll make it for you), and the atmosphere is laid-back; you can really unwind here (unless there are too many kids running around😁, but that actually makes it cozy!).

Just like Moeke Delft, Nijkerk is a cozy place with nice, friendly service and good food. The fish trio is delicious; we had the asparagus menu choice and the one with cod fillet was very tasty.

We got married there 3 years ago. Back then, it was clearly 5 stars. After that, we came back every 6 months. Currently, it is only 3 stars. Both the food and the service are disappointing every time. No more Moeke for us.

The service was very friendly. The restaurant was cozy. Service was quick and efficient. Unfortunately, the staff at the next table were watching YouTube videos loudly; this should have been addressed by the staff. After all, one wants to eat in peace. The food, however, didn't impress us. It was a large schnitzel, but the sauce was tiny, maybe four tablespoons. It came with cranberries on a cold potato pancake or fritter—I'm not sure which. Unnecessary with a schnitzel and sauce, and nothing special. I would have preferred a salad garnish on the plate, even just a slice of tomato, some cucumber, or a spoonful of coleslaw. The burger was cooked well, but the flavor wasn't anything special. The fries were tasty, but again, there was far too little mayo for two portions.

Upon arrival, we had a few drinks and snacks at the adjacent hotel before checking in. Very friendly service and nice atmosphere. In the evening, after returning from the event, we had some drinks at Moeke. Excellent again. It's a shame there wasn't a place to dine. We would have loved to experience that as well. So, making a reservation is a must.

The ambiance, friendliness, food, service, and Moeke before and after all come together seamlessly. The place is perfect for a leisurely drinks reception, but also for a three-course dinner.

We held a very successful private party for someone turning 50. The communication during the preparations was fantastic, and even on the day itself, the service was top-notch! The service at the party was excellent, and the appetizers and drinks platters were delicious. In short, highly recommended if you're looking for an atmospheric, smaller venue (we had the warehouse) for a successful party. We had 40 people. We were able to do the decorations ourselves. Everything is negotiable. Highly recommended!

We wanted to grab a bite to eat here before seeing the musical at the Midden Nederland Hallen. The restaurant looks nice. But the welcome and service were really disappointing. The staff clearly didn't seem to be interested. Everything we ordered took a long time to arrive, even though there were plenty of servers milling around. Even when we asked where our drinks were, there was little motivation to resolve the issue quickly. It seems the restaurant needs someone to manage the operation and teach the staff about hospitality. So, there's room for improvement! 💪🏼

A lovely, homey atmosphere. It's very well-designed, so you don't feel like you're sitting in a large room full of tables. We've been there many times, and the staff is quite friendly and accommodating. Everything is possible, and children are always welcome. You can even play a game and they won't look away. Of course, the food is also delicious! Otherwise, we wouldn't have come back so often. The prices are average.

The food is truly awful. You order a steak that's supposed to be "butter-tender," but you get absolutely nothing in return. Then you're told they can take it off the bill, but no other compensation. And all this while your parent has already eaten, ruining the whole dining experience. You're offered something new, but you don't want to just eat it.

We had a delicious meal, we had the Moekes burger, and for dessert we had the French toast and sorbet.

Nothing wrong with that, and it definitely invites you to have a bite to eat. ++ Ambience ++ The music was sometimes irritatingly loud. ++ Lunch at Moeke ++ Let me start by saying that the hot chocolate was very good. Creamy, no aftertaste, and above all, the perfect temperature. A big thumbs up. The menu listed a club sandwich with chicken, tomato, egg salad, etc., but there was no tomato and a few bits of "chicken" skin. Well, chicken, I don't know if the chef ever tastes what he's making. ++This looks like ham, but according to Moeke, it's definitely smoked chicken.++ Anyway, the sandwiches went back, and the chef actually found a few tomato slices, and the food was topped with a bit more, which is only fair for that price. ++Only what we thought was ham was, according to Moeke, actually chicken. We've been coming to Moeke's house like children, and certainly not because it's a 5-minute bike ride from our house, although that makes it so easy to decide after a hard day, hey, let's book in. But it's always fun to see what Chef has come up with for the seasonal menu (for example, right now you absolutely have to try the autumn spritz, the smoked duck breast, and the portobello mushroom 😙👌🏼) and to be looked after by the super sweet team, who not only have the perfect balance of attention and liveliness, but also get along so well with each other that it creates a very warm family feeling. The uninhibited humor in the atmosphere is always infectious. See you again soon! 🥰

What a great place! I had my favorite beer, "Seef," again. I got to take the glass home for free! Definitely recommended if you're ever in the area.

Excellent staff and restaurant. Last night, November 23rd, we had a wonderful dinner in a cozy atmosphere with friendly and helpful staff. The menu is well-varied, with meat, fish, salads, and vegetarian options. The Shepherd's Pie was delicious, the spareribs wonderful (they could have cooked a bit longer), and Moeke's Grote Schnitzel was divine. Then we decided to try the Moeke-soes (cream puff) and a coffee with caramel syrup. It's clear that we left feeling full and satisfied! Highly recommended!

We had a lovely lunch here. The food is good, the prices are a bit high, but the dishes look good and taste great. It's also quite packed on a Sunday afternoon. I'm less impressed with the service. Slow and not very helpful. For me, the worst part was when one of the staff members, after taking our order, asked if we wanted fries or a baguette with our poke bowl. Unbelievable.

Went there for the first time with a group of 13 people. Initially, we were seated near an open door where it was drafty, but the door couldn't be closed due to a barbecue going on. Despite being very busy, they quickly and easily found us another spot. I was a bit worried I'd stumbled into a junkyard, but that wasn't the case at all. Last Saturday, we had a 50th wedding anniversary party at Moeke Nijkerk for 57 adults and 5 children. Initially, we chose the Jachthut room, but because we arrived with more people than we initially anticipated, it turned out to be too small. Moeke acted quickly and arranged the larger room for the same price. Communication was excellent, and all requests were accommodated. The evening itself ran smoothly, and any questions were answered promptly. The tasting parade was highly appreciated by everyone. The food was very, very delicious. There were also some unusual dishes (a bowl with halloumi and marinated watermelon). The dog was also allowed in.

We had a delicious lunch there; I had the chef's sandwich. Delicious with salmon, which is always a good choice for me.

My soup was literally in a crystal whiskey glass. It contained three small mushrooms and a few "strings" of chicken. The soup was okay, but a bit overly spiced with a single red pepper ring. For €7.50, I really expected more and better. My friend's vegetarian tagliatelle wasn't good. It's never happened that neither of us wanted something. There was half a lemon wedge in it, but the sauce was the worst. A bit mango-like? Not many vegetables either. I mentioned it and got a €5 discount, but it was still €40 lighter. I ordered bread afterward because my friend was still hungry, which was fine. I don't expect a culinary highlight, but this was just a waste. The atmosphere was good and the surroundings are beautiful. It did take a while. We had eaten well there before (hence the two stars), but we were only moderately enthusiastic about this last day. Such a shame!

Hi Last Saturday and Sunday we had dinner at your place in Nijkerk twice. We were staying at De Roode Schuur, and a restaurant next door in a hotel without a hot kitchen was very convenient. Saturday evening was great, but Sunday was a disappointment with the mussels in a whitish (garlic?) sauce. A large kettle was placed on the table (what a promise!), but only halfway full of small mussels. I was most disappointed, however, with the insufficient cooking time of the mussels, which meant quite a few didn't open. So, whoever prepared those mussels at your place honestly doesn't know much about them. It's a shame about the €24.90 charge, as that money was wasted. For the rest, I can only really appreciate your friendly staff. How they keep a full restaurant running so smoothly. 👍 Kind regards, Victor

Yesterday I went here for dinner with my father, sister, and grandmother. The absolute worst dining experience for me personally. The waitress was an elderly woman. I've never heard such strange remarks while eating out. My sparerib looked half-cooked and simply wasn't done. After complaining, the waitress started complaining about the curry that was for the man across the street. My sister, that is. When I confronted her about it, she said she was a girl. She dismissed it with, "It's so hard to see these days." No apology or anything. After receiving a schnitzel, they just said, "It better be good now, otherwise you're out of luck." This establishment needs to teach its staff some manners. The saddest dining experience ever. A truly awful waste of money. Go somewhere where they treat you well. To avoid further hassle, they didn't call a manager or even the owner. I paid promptly and left a small tip out of politeness. Please don't go here.

The seating on the terrace was comfortable, both at the front and back. It wasn't perfect, though; the part of the terrace where we were seated had a "nasty sewer smell." It wasn't pleasant, but after we reported the smell, the staff promised to do something about it. Hopefully, they did. Otherwise, it was fine. The coffee was good, and the sandwiches were delicious.

Jul 2025 We were here with our Bible study group to close out the season with coffee and snacks. So far, it's been fun and enjoyable. When one of the ladies went home, she hadn't noticed the step down from the raised table where we were sitting. The floor is brown, and the warning stripe is also not clearly visible. She twisted her ankle and fell. The waitress was immediately there to help, bringing a wet cloth and some wad. But she said, "Oh, this happens regularly!" To which we replied, shouldn't it be better marked? According to her, management didn't do anything about it because it doesn't need to be inspected... but if it happens regularly that someone falls or missteps, it seems to me that something needs to be done quickly!
