Beautiful spot by the water, friendly service. However, I have never experienced having to pay an extra 1.50 for the cheese and 0.90 for the ham with the fried egg, even though this is not listed on the menu. This turns a 12.50 fried egg into almost 15.00.

We love the delicious food, friendly service, and the terrace with a view of the water when the weather is nice.

Despite it being arguably the hottest evening, the service was excellent. Generous satay and a superb piece of red snapper.

We ordered drinks and apple pie. The drinks were almost finished and still no pie. We spoke to the waitress: oh, forgotten. Well, that really wasn't nice....

We ate there on Sunday afternoon, which was delicious. The service was also fine. The only downside is the dessert menu, and specifically the prices. The cheapest item was the very simple children's ice cream, which already cost almost €8. The adult desserts were well over €10. The dessert served bore no relation to the price.

We asked if we could make a reservation outside on a sunny day. No, that wasn't allowed; we just had to see where there was space. Then we explained that one of the people present had just been told she has leukemia and asked if they could make an exception due to the risk of infection. It was briefly discussed with the boss, but they wouldn't agree to it. It says a lot about one's character when you treat regular paying customers like that. Hopefully, the Tomassen family never has to ask for a favor.

The food was delicious and the atmosphere was cozy. The staff could be a bit more attentive. If you ask for just a moment, no one comes.

We made a reservation with a request regarding an elderly lady, not to sit in the sun by the water on the terrace. When we arrived, there were no tables in the shade by the water. We asked the waitress about our table; it wasn't there, and nothing had been served. We were told to find a spot ourselves. There was no table in the shade, so we created something ourselves. The response was: "We don't take reservations on the terrace, so there you go!" Tip: Just email that back! We would have reserved somewhere else where you *can* make reservations. Fortunately, we got a different waitress who did understand. And thanks in part to her, we had a lovely and delicious afternoon.

We had to wait half an hour for our sandwich and fried egg. The bar was completely full of empty glasses and bottles. It didn't look very tidy. Maybe there was a bit too little staff.

First, we sat outside for a while and had a drink. They kept a table reserved for us inside, so when the weather got colder outside, we went inside.

As frequent restaurant-goers, we chose Strandhuys Nijkerk last Monday. Cozy modern decor and light background music, which I personally find very pleasant. We ordered coffee and cake as a starter and had a beer. The selection on the menu wasn't very extensive, but at first glance, it seemed sufficiently varied. The fish of the day was cod, but unfortunately, it wasn't cod fillet. So, we went for something completely different. The spare ribs listed on the menu. Unfortunately, they turned out to be sold out. Something I don't want to make a fuss about. In the end, we went for rump steak. To pair with the meat, we chose a Malbec wine and a carafe of tap water, which we always order alongside our drinks as standard. What bothers us is that the tap water was charged for! Note: Most Dutch restaurants do not charge for tap water. It is a service alongside other paid drinks such as coffee or wine. In many countries, you even get this unasked when you order coffee or alongside wine.

Lovely spot, definitely nice with (young) children too.

Had a very good lunch, a well-filled sandwich, and enjoyed the meal. Nice spot in the sun on the terrace, with a beautiful view.

It is very tasty and cozy; I am willing to drive half an hour to get there.

The specialty at 't Strandhuys – the pulled duck sandwich – is irresistible. Excellent and beautiful presentation, plus good, friendly service!

Very friendly service, delicious and plentiful food at reasonable prices

Ordered the high tea package: started with a much too spicy Thai broccoli soup, followed by a beautifully presented platter of savory and many sweet items. I found it a pity that the staff thought they were finished with our table afterwards, meaning we constantly had to ask for attention to, for example, refill the water for tea or the tea itself. Otherwise, a beautiful location where I would gladly return, but perhaps for lunch.

A really lovely place! My partner and I have actually been coming here about once a week for a while now. Just sitting together by the fireplace, nice and relaxed, with a drink. 🥰 The service is super friendly and pleasant! The food tastes delicious too! So definitely recommended! See you next Monday. 😉

Had a wonderful lunch with a friend at Strandhuis Nijkerk. We had a fantastic meal and enjoyed some drinks. The location is truly perfect; you can sit comfortably both inside and outside, and it's beautifully situated along the water. It immediately gives you a wonderful summer feeling. The service is very friendly. A truly great spot!

It was quite nice and the food was delicious, but what a disappointment when I drove away. There's a sign pointing to a parking lot behind barriers, but when I drove away, I had to pay almost €10. I can imagine it's busy with day trippers in the summer, but on a rainy winter day, it's practically just the restaurant's guests. Nowhere is it indicated that you need to ask for an exit token. It was supposed to be on the website, but I didn't see it (and considering the location, nothing nearby, I didn't think paid parking was an option). The response when I called was also very disappointing: no, we don't think we need to make it clearer, and we don't think we need to point it out to people (not even on the sign outside directing to the parking). The suggestion was to ask for an exit token next time, so here's this tip for all future visitors. My suggestion was to prevent this, but it wasn't taken up. Such a shame.

Because I have to eat gluten-free (gluten intolerance), among other things, they gave me a lot of thought and I was served a delicious pastrami salad that I will definitely order again.

We had a delicious lunch here. They have an extensive lunch menu, and the sandwiches are generously filled—in fact, you have to search for yours! A lovely location with a pleasantly heated conservatory. We'll definitely be back.

We had a delicious meal, and the teriyaki chicken with a bun was a generous portion. I could barely finish it. The service was very friendly and courteous. The atmosphere is wonderfully relaxed, the music not too loud, making it a pleasant place to relax. The lit heaters also add to the ambiance. Highly recommended!

A wonderful place for lunch, among other things. We've been there a few times now during the winter months, and the surroundings are beautiful, and I'm sure it'll be even better in the summer months. We'll definitely be back!

Friendly service. It was chilly in the attached conservatory. The food wasn't anything special! The duck garnish consisted of a few overly hard Brussels sprouts and almost raw mushroom slices. The duck was okay. Desserts were overpriced!

Went for lunch for the first time, in the autumn, but despite that, what a beautiful place, and what super friendly staff. And what a generous, delicious lunch. For me, this is a very nice review, because I don't give 5 stars easily; I just say there is always room for improvement. But many entrepreneurs can learn a lot from this. People, keep up the good work, compliments! I would love to come here for lunch from Putten from now on. Until next time, that won't be long.

Top experience! Beautiful restaurant with a very nice atmosphere. The high cocktail was perfectly prepared. The cocktails were very tasty. We were with a group and if someone indicated that they did not like a certain cocktail, we were given another one without any problems. Staff was very friendly and thought along with us. There were well-stocked snack boards with delicious food and something for everyone! Nice experience

My husband is really super critical, but I have heard him say 5 times that he really liked the burger and the fries. I think we have found a new place where we go for lunch more often.

With nice weather everything goes smoother and it suddenly becomes much more pleasant. This also applies to this relaxation. Relax, have a beer, something to eat and good company in a beautiful, inspiring environment. The service is also attentive and friendly. In short, it is a very good place to be here.

We were there for a very short time, because no food is served between 1600 and 1700 (or 1700 and 1800) and it was just 1600 (or 1700). Nice place by the water.

What a super tent! We rented this location on a Saturday evening and were able to throw a party here. I can recommend this location to everyone. The service is super friendly, attentive and observant. Atmosphere is great, the snacks were delicious and everything went as discussed. Nothing more than praise, thank you team for this great evening and see you next time!

Stopped by here for lunch. After asking 3 times we finally got the lunch menu. Anyway, the decoration of the restaurant is very beautiful and attractive, the location is also great. We ordered a carpaccio sandwich, croquette sandwich and hot meat sandwich. Everything tasted great and it was richly filled with meat and lettuce, which is quite acceptable for this price. But then there were 2 thin slices of bread with the carpaccio and with the croquette, which came straight from a supermarket. For this price, you can at least add thick country bread or an Italian bun such as the hot meat sandwich. This would have made the quality of the food better.

Celebrated a party with 60 guests in the conservatory of the Strandhuys. Nice contact when planning in advance and great service and delicious food on the day itself in the form of a buffet. Highly recommended!

Strandhuys Nijkerk offers a cozy atmosphere with good food and friendly service. The grilled salmon was cooked to perfection and paired perfectly with avocado cream, wakame, fries and salad. In terms of price, the restaurant is in the upper middle sector, but impresses with high-quality ingredients and good taste. The temperature in the winter garden is pleasant: Here you can feast and enjoy in a relaxed manner or just stop in for a drink.

We were able to sit on the terrace because the weather was beautiful. Unfortunately the service was slow. Maybe more staff on nice days is a good idea. Otherwise, feedback to the guest that it may take a little longer due to crowds.

Beautiful sunny terrace, delicious food. Friendly service. We did have to wait a little longer for service, but once ordered the food came quickly.

Delicious food, good value for money. Beef carpacio, soup of the day and goat cheese from the oven were delicious. As a main course, the grilled duck breast fillet, Black August burger and goat cheese salad from the oven were delicious. To finish, the lady industry ice cream cake and the raspberry Dream were the icing on the cake. Definitely have a bite to eat here if you're in the area.

Been here twice, great location. Playing facilities for children are also great and enclosed. Staff very friendly and do their best. If you look at the menu, it is well varied, the quality of the food is good, the price of the menu is fine, but you expect just a little more, in terms of plate layout and skilled staff. Certainly not bad, but in terms of price it could be slightly better. I would still recommend this place to go here once, you can easily spend a few hours here.

Donderdagavond gekozen voor de spareribs, deze waren zo mals dat het vlees van het bot af viel. Heerlijk van smaak. Personeel ook vriendelijk en heel behulpzaam. Daarom vrijdag ook gekozen om hier weer te komen eten. Weer voor de spareribs gekozen, echter nu was het vlees minder mals. Wat ik veel irritanter vond was dat ik zeker 10 botsplinters in het vlees vond. Naast het risico op beschadiging van mijn tanden/kiezen ook voor het afslikken van zo'n scherpe splinter. Dit ook aangegeven bij de bediening, dit zou worden doorgegeven aan de kok. Vervolgens niets meer vernomen. Dan vind ik het voor een kok wel een gemiste kans om je te verontschuldigen. Ik heb nog nooit botsplinters in de spareribs gehad en nu tijdens 1 maaltijd zeker 10. Dan heb je je werk als kok niet gedaan zoals het zou moeten. En jammer genoeg kom je dan niet even aan tafel kijken. Dan staat je restaurant voor mij op de zwarte lijst.

Echt? Heeft strandhuys Nijkerk wel een keuken? De bediening was super, lieve enthousiaste meiden maar het eten was niet te nassen. Mijn ribeye was écht niet versgebakken maar duidelijk, mét de pepersaus, in de magnetron opgewarmd. Bijna dertig (!) euro voor betaald, smaak noch kraak helaas. Geen aanrader! Terras aan t water was ook wat overdreven, er was eerst een hek en daarna een groot grasveld en, oh ja, ergens in de verte toch idd een water😳 Maar ja, hoe kom je daar? Ik ga daar nooit meer eten….

Vandaag voor het eerst hier geweest op aanraden van vrienden. Heerlijk geluncht op deze mooie locatie. Goede keuze uit heerlijke gerechten. Wat opvalt is dat er goed en voldoende personeel is, die doorhebben hoe alles werkt. Dit valt (helaas in de huidige tijd van de horeca) gewoon echt op. Chapeau voor dit goede team. Echt een aanrader voor een heerlijke lunch.
