Absolutely brilliant and unique, incredible views with a delicious menu, also Carla help us a lot, very happy with how everything went for this special lunch.

I want to post a bad review about how digital reservations are handled. I make a reservation via the website and do not receive confirmation. It has now been paid in advance, as it turns out afterwards. I'll make another reservation a few minutes later because I don't have confirmation. Again no confirmation!! Paid again, it turns out later. I cancel a few weeks later, no confirmation either!!! On the evening of the canceled reservation I receive a call but of course I cannot answer. I didn't cancel for nothing. An hour after this missed call I call back, no answer. That's not how you treat each other. Email contact, very distant, yielded nothing.

The staff was really good and friendly, and the food was good as well.

The rooftop bar is a MUST before dinner. Live DJ sets the mood perfectly. City views are breathtaking. Food is delicious, but the overall experience is unforgettable. Highly recommend!

The restaurant is located on the last floor in a beautiful atmosphere with an exceptional panoramic view of Amsterdam. In general, the food is good and varied, a distinctive choice for a romantic occasion.

“Top” restaurant in every sense

Cool place and great view of the city BUT the food and wine pairings are simply not good. Most dishes are vegetarian based with cheap white wine pairings. The one seafood dish was not good at all. The only meat dish was a small three bite piece of tough sirloin. The dessert wasn’t creative but was edible. The wait staff was also unpleasant and mechanical, in a bad way. I don’t recommend this for more than anything but a drink and the view.

This was the best idea ever for a dining experience. I can't recommend this enough. I paired everything with the (cold) teas as suggested; if you love all kinds of teas as me, you can't regret it. I had the opportunity to share a moment about the passion of the co-creator about these unbelievable drinks. I need est. in the UK! The place is also amazing, accompanies the sensorial experience. A jewel!

If you've never been to a good restaurant, this one will probably surprise you. Although the truth is that there's nothing good about it, it's just kids playing at being chefs. The experience...well, it wasn't bad, but the food wasn't up to expectations.

The location is incredible, it's really nice to have dinner on a rotating platform with a 360 degree view of Amsterdam. We chose the fixed four-course menu by booking at 6pm. Furthermore, you could select small entrées to add. The food was delicious, refined and particular, as was the service. A truly positive experience that I would gladly repeat.

Fantastic dinner, spectacular view, impeccable service, both from the kitchen and from the table service. The dishes offered were all 5 courses of impeccable quality, good combinations and always consistent flavours, the wine was served to me without even tasting it, this was a bit of a downfall, but it did not impact on my experience, the view it's magnificent and makes dinner even more special. The view over the city of Amsterdam is really worth it

Came here for the first time to celebrate my boyfriend’s birthday and asked them prior to do something special on his dessert (e.g candles or a writing that says happy birthday). Didn’t get any of it. Added to that, there was no warm welcome from the Dutch waitress that served us at first. Very arrogant girl with no customer service skills at all. Not worth it.

Beautiful food, great setting and views. The ferry is really easy, you literally just jump on it. The dress code was business casual, you would be fine wearing jeans.

Ik lees wat wisselende reviews en het was al weer even geleden dat we hier waren, maar kort gezegd wij vinden het nog steeds de moeite waard. Wel even wachten bij de entree tot iemand komt om je welkom te heten, maar daarna begint het genieten. Het is een beetje mistig, maar het blijft boeiend om binnen een uur de stad in 360 graden te aanschouwen. Maar ook het eten en de bijpassende wijnen stellen niet teleur. Geen grote porties, maar dat is juist goed bij 5 (of 6) gangen. Het graat in een aangenaam tempo en de bediening (voor de verandering in Amsterdam spreekt iedereen Nederlands) is zeer vriendelijk.

Don’t bother. The menu says (for drinks) “because you should have choices” but what about the food? Even a Michelin Star restaurant gives you the choice between a couple of 5 or 6 course meals (that are posted ahead of time on the website). This was a set SURPRISE menu that included an item on my allergy list. They did adjust the course, but that is something that should be asked at the time of reservation. The entire menu was not my ”choice”. While the potato pancakes were nice, the deer meat was tough and the cauliflower was closer to raw than cooked. Marinated raw fish is something I could have passed on. The bizarre combination of ingredients in each course was akin to throwing noodles at the wall to see what sticks. The hodge podge approach was an epic fail. The view is spectacular. I like the idea of a rotating floor (in theory), but it’s an annoyance when you get motion sickness because you table faces out and you’re on the 5th rotation over the course of MORE THAN 3 HOURS. All seating should be perpendicular to the windows, not parallel. That way you don’t get sick from the constant reminder of motion. Add to that, NO RESTAURANT SHOULD HOLD YOU CAPTIVE FOR 3+ HOURS! Bottom line: biggest waste of money for our entire 3-week trip to London, Paris, Amsterdam, Frankfurt, Munich and Vienna. This restaurant is an absolute blemish on a magnificent city.

Echt dramatisch slecht eten. Interieur te donker en oud en vervallen meubilair. Vergane glorie als het al ooit glorie geweest is. Toen ik de ober vroeg of hij een wine pairing zou aanbevelen of een fles wijn te bestellen adviseerde hij ons een fles wijn te bestellen omdat hij dat minder werk er aan had. Welkom bij Moon.. Toen ik en mijn vriendin een gerecht veeel te zout vonden en dat kenbaar maakten reageerde de ober dat hij het zelf geproefd had en dat we ongelijk hadden. Werd verder niks mee gedaan.. 145 euro voor 5 gangen, 65 euro pp voor wine pairing. Rekening in totaal was dus 420 euro. Doodzonde. In 22 jaar uit eten in Amsterdam was dit by far de slechtste ervaring ooit. Nooit meer

Top location, rotating view of the IJ. Food not bad, but not "great" either. Service fine.

I booked in January 2024 for 4, for lunch on December 25, 2024. Confirmation OK and €80 paid for the reservation. I received an email today, the 22nd, to inform me that the restaurant is closed at lunchtime on the 25th! I ask to postpone for dinner: impossible, it's full! Well it’s simply scandalous! We're planning a few days in Amsterdam for Christmas, we're looking forward to it, and no more Christmas lunch! It's incomprehensible to treat customers like that!

In this kind of restaurant, they should definitely ask whether the meat is rare, medium or a lot before the main course. When they bring the plate, they should explain the dish, unfortunately they just say its name and leave the table.

Wonderful experience at Moon! The tasting menu was amazing, unique dishes with incredible flavours and so beautifully presented. Excellent staff who were attentive and explained each dish and the wines to accompany each dish. The rotating restaurant was the added bonus of making it more special with night time views over Amsterdam!

We went to dinner with our team. The positive first. The view & the Christmas decorations were really beautiful. The food was consistently good. But apart from one dish, nothing was particularly tasty and for the price we had imagined a better taste experience. Unfortunately, the service was rather disappointing: we tried to order more water three times during the evening. Unfortunately it didn't come 3 times despite the waiter's promise. Shouldn't happen in this type of restaurant. Unfortunately, we also had to wait an extremely long time for the first course to be cleared away and sat in front of our eaten plates...

The Moon Restaurant is located on the 19th floor of the A'DAM Toren in Amsterdam and offers a unique dining experience thanks to its revolving platform that allows for a 360-degree panoramic view of the city. Beautiful view and delicious food, also nice that the entire restaurant is rotating, so you can see Amsterdam in its entirety.

Great restaurant, but the price-quality ratio is completely disconnected from reality. Service is good, food is fine/good, but in the two times I have been here there was a sewage smell in one part of the restaurant and in one part there was a continuous screeching sound, as if something was touching the rotating mechanism of the floor. There were several years between my two visits and I experienced this both times. I don't mind paying 700 euros (for 4 people) somewhere, but then everything has to be TOP and that's just not the case here. The view is certainly worth it, but you can also view it on the roof.

We went here after visiting the view on the top floor with quite high expectations, after trying to book on the site which has no translation into other languages, with the help of Google translate and among a thousand banners for booking at Christmas, we managed to book. Disappointing dinner, you pay the price for the refined location, dishes that are definitely not adequate for how the place looks, I expected more, the only praise for the dish that managed to stand out: the scallop. Butter is definitely too salty, be careful when asking for more bread as the waiters are a little reluctant to give it to you, they almost make you feel ashamed even though you are given a delicious piece of bread each, unfortunately for some it's not enough, but I think it's allowed for the price to give a little more upon request. Inedible dessert with a stone-like biscuit. At the end of dinner all the spoons in the room clattered in the room trying to eat the dessert. We were asked 3 times, by three different waiters if we wanted something more than water, almost annoying. When it came time for the bill it didn't add up to me, perplexed I had to point out that we had already paid the deposit for the dinner on the site, even if for us it wasn't a problem to pay a few euros more if it was worth it, so without realizing it we would have paid even more. For a 7-course tasting, 3 and a half hours of sitting. For 250 euros and the way the restaurant looks, I expected a slightly more in-depth search for flavours. An experience definitely worth having, but not worth the price

⭐️ Fantastic Dining Experience at The Lookout! ⭐️ The food was absolutely delicious! We started with the mixed taster platter, and the taco was definitely the highlight of the trio. For the main course, we both went for the sirloin, which was cooked to perfection and tasted fantastic. The service was prompt, and the servers were incredibly friendly and attentive. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in Amsterdam! The view would likely be even more stunning at night, but unfortunately, we couldn’t secure an evening spot. 🌆🌮🍽

The restaurant is located on the top floor of the A'DAM Tower. Amsterdam being a flat city, the restaurant offers you unique views. If we add to all that that the tables and chairs are installed on a circular platform that rotates all the time (without being annoying, more or less 1 revolution per hour), you have a restaurant with a very peculiar atmosphere. The staff very attentive and helpful. The food was quite good, and well presented. The price, without being cheap, is in line with what other restaurants in the city offer. The only drawback that I would highlight is the price of the wine.

What a place and what absolutely lovely food! We were 9 people who had run the Amsterdam Marathon together who had dinner together at this great restaurant. And when it comes to the food, it exceeded my expectations. It was simply incredibly tasty, and food doesn't have to be the same day that has run so far. It's hard to put into words how delicious the experience was, but I'm pretty sure I'll remember this meal for a long, long time to come. We chose the 6 course menu and the portions were generous to be so stylish. Beautifully decorated and beautifully presented. Balanced and creative. The venue itself is also an attraction. You sit comfortably and absolutely see the whole city pass by because the entire restaurant rotates while you eat. We managed about three laps around and got a good look down on the center of Amsterdam and up the river. A superb setting for great food and good drink. We were there at the same time as ADE, a big dance festival, and because of that there was quite a lot of noise in the restaurant. Simply loud music. I don't know if this is everyday, but I doubt it. It didn't affect the experience of the food itself, but it clearly colored our overall experience a bit. At the same time, it seemed like it was a bit busy for the employees this day, because we had to ask for drink refills ourselves along the way. And then we informed them that they could bring the dishes a little faster, partly because it took a little long, but perhaps mostly because we were very hungry. Overall, I highly recommend this restaurant, and even hope for a return visit when there is no dance festival in Amsterdam.

We went as a couple and all the staff was really welcoming. They listened and accommodated dietary wishes nicely. We had a five-course menu and all the dishes were delicious and inventive. Our favourites were the spinach with potato foam (sounds simple but was spectacular) and the scallops! It was super cool to learn about the wines and how they pair with different dishes, we had one white and one red by the glass. Overall, a truly fantastic experience at a good value compared to other fine dining places.

It was a very pleasant experience. They serve excellent meals in this restaurant. There is a choice of meat and fish or vegetarian. Very respectful for dietary requirements. They created delicious tea. Service was generous. I will be back for the dessert and Mignardises.

Moon, spectacular view. Menu very limited. You can only determine the number of courses (lunch) 3,4 or 5. .50% vegetarian. Dishes lack depth and (too) expensive. For example €20 for an extra course, cauliflower floret with peanut crumbs and miso sauce. Dishes taste good but are quite small. Sauvignon blanc 45€ (7.50 store) x6. In short, if you want to be surprised by beautiful views, go here. If you want to be surprised by the dishes, go somewhere else.

What an incredible experience that was! Took my parents for lunch during their visit and we were so pleasantly surprised. We had a 3-course lunch with a bottle of wine. Lunch was 49 per person and the quality of food was incredible. Portions were small but we were very satisfied after the 3 courses. The panoramic 360 view of Amsterdam was a wonderful part of the experience as well. It’s really fun to experience the rotating tables while having a meal. It’s definitely on a more pricey side but worth it especially if you have family or friends visiting and want to show them the city. Would love to go back soon!

What a great evening I had at MOON. Brought as a surprise for my 30th birthday. The view, the food and the staff, it was all great! Quite an experience!

This was the highlight of our trip to Amsterdam! It was hubby's birthday and they placed a little card on the table and gave him a little free desert too, such lovely little touches! We where served by Rahul and he was 5 star! Excellent communication throughout, warm, friendly and knowledgeable and even asked us about the timings of our next course which was spot on as we had plans after dinner! Beautiful restaurant and loved the revolving aspect of the menu, it made it interesting and a good talking point! We enjoyed the vege 4 course tasting menu, well presented! Would maybe have liked a bit more of a sweeter dessert but it was nice! Note: The bar below is super pretty too, especially the ladies room with a view!

This is really an experience. The view from the revolving restaurant (in the Amsterdam tower) is beautiful. The food is worth a star and so is the service. A fixed menu with a choice of 5 or 6 courses. A la carte snacks beforehand. Tasty wines. Parking under the tower. Be sure to reserve in advance.

We had Beef Loin for lunch and the desert that was made with yougert curd and citrus. The beef came with a shared salad and fries, bread and butter. It was a very delicious meal, totally recommend it. The restaurant slowly turn around and provide a good view of Amsterdam.

We were served a piece of lamb where there was still a silver lining behind the line. But it tasted super good.

The view it’s just amazing but the food it is only Ok, nicely presented with poor flavor. The 1st course was a fish fillet in tomato sauce and zucchini that tasted just like sardines in tomato sauce. For the main course, we got the sirloin which looked pink and soft but it was hard to cut and hard to chew. The service is slow too, every dish arrived with 20 min of difference; by the time the dessert was served, we were there for 1.5 hours. The dessert was good but the ice cream was hard, a little bit icy in the middle. So, overall experience is Ok because of the nature of the restaurant, but I believe they can do a better job with the food.

To start with the bad, the place isn't clean, the service is worse than an average restaurant on the main street and the food is ok, which for this price point is bad. The views are nice and it is a gimmick to be turned around the whole building, but that doesn't make a good restaurant. Whenever you serve a glass of wine for 9-20 euro, you at least expect some sommelier to explain the journey that you will go through in combination with the food. It ended with, this wine comes from this year and this year was a good year for this wine.... Service: when you ask for a matched wine with every course, don't make me ask for it after the third course while having none before. Again, the views are okay, but for this price you have much more chooses for a great night out.

Unforgettable experience! The menu is always changing so you do not know what to expect in your courses. Of the courses I had, my favorite was the beetroot one! The dessert was quite a highlight as well, as one of the main ingredients was rhubarb. Just let them know in your reservation if you have any allergies or diets, and they will accommodate for you (which they successfully did with my guests).

We really enjoyed the atmosphere and food at Moon. We did the six course option and enjoyed a good range of dishes that were quite fulfilling. My only comment is that it was a bit long between courses. Granted, we had just spent the last 36 hours doing everything we could in Amsterdam and were already exhausted. Overall great experience.

Unfortanetly, nice place with the worst attitude ever We wanted to have the experience in the moving restaurant , so we got in and ask if we could have a coffee and the person in entrance said No , so we understand and respect that so he suggested to sit in and order food from 3 fixed menus , so he went for a while and his colleague came and approached us , so the first guy told him in deuch languague which we don't understand but we can understand a coffee , so the attitude of the other guy changed toward us , and told us the restaurant now is closed So this is my experience in this restaurant So good luck everybody would wish to have the experience

Prachtige locatie, innovatief concept en leuk menu. Het draaiende effect maakte mij wat misselijk, maar de meeste mensen zullen hier geen last van hebben. Het menu was erg lekker en niet zo standaard. De sfeer was echter wel heel Amsterdams, ietwat ongezellig en high-class. Geen gezellige lokale sfeer. Naast het lekkere eten was de bediening echter niet geweldig. We kregen meerdere malen ander drinken dan gevraagd en de duurste wijn (terwijl we een andere wijn hadden aangewezen). Daarnaast moesten we af en toe ontzettend lang wachten, wat ik niet verwacht bij een toch wel luxe restaurant.

Unfortunately we are very disappointed. When we got there promptly at 8 p.m., there was no staff at the entrance and we had to wait about 5 minutes. But we were put in a very nice place. Although there were two of us, we were not seated opposite each other but rather parallel with a straight view outwards, which we found very positive. Unfortunately, we had to wait about 50 minutes after ordering for the first drink and the first course. The food was very tasty and beautifully presented. Snacks beforehand are also recommended. Later on I only received tea instead of wine, but that was sorted out with a bit of back and forth. The wine selection was very good and suitable. The cheese variation at the end was also very tasty. The ambience was nice, great view and otherwise friendly staff, in our opinion not enough staff. It was a bit restless/noisy. Ultimately we were disappointed because of the high standard; the mistakes described above shouldn't happen here.

The view is great but unfortunately the music from the club right below is really annoying and distracting . The place with a great view and idea. If you want to have a nice experience, this is a place for you. The restaurant is spinning, 1 revolution in 1h. You will always sit next to window. This is not a proper restaurant. There is just one tasting option in the menu and some drinks. Kitchen is small. Note, that you might get a little bit dizzy. I recommend to visit as for the experience

We went here for a lunch and overall the experience was enjoyable due to the lovely views and the good food. Firstly, in terms of the quality and quantity of the dishes they were enjoyable, but sometimes the portions were a little imbalanced in terms of proteins and carbs. Also, the bread was a little dry and bland. Secondly, we were a little disappointed in the service. While they told us that we should take it slow to enjoy the views, between the entree and the main we had to wait for more than an hour. When I went up to them, they said they will bring them ASAP but showed up with our desserts instead. I told them they had forgotten our mains and they did not make the effort to bring them and prepare the dessert afterwards but rather charged us for a three instead of four course menu. It would have been appropriate to charge less than that since all other dishes are significantly smaller than the main and I think a better solution due to the loss of time we experienced and the unsatisfactory lunch could have been found.

We found the interior decor and furniture of poor quality and not well kept for an upscale restaurant. The revolving floor made us dizzy in the beginning but you eventually get used to it. The windows though definitely can use some cleaning services since the views are actually the only thing that is worth it in the end. About the food, we went for the 5 course menu. The food looks good presentation-wise but the flavours are very flat and rather uninteresting unfortunately. Top highlight how bad was the rhubarb dessert.. Only one of 5 courses was actually worth it, the lamb. But even for that we were not asked how we would like it cooked and among the two of us one was cooked rare and the other medium/well. The bread was also served cold and felt like it was not even fresh or of high quality. Positive note is that the staff is very attentive but 80 euros per person is definitely not worth it. Really disappointing experience overall.

What a nice restaurant! Super nice and attentive service (thanks again Raoul!). Delicious 5-course dinner with a refined cheese board to finish. After 1 glass of very good wine, we switched to the 'tea pairing' and that was really a taste party! Also ask about the home-brewed Established, a truly fantastic non-alcoholic dinner company. And the view is of course beautiful (and only the same once an hour).

Atmosphere: The view is stunning. We are here in July and had the 8pm seating which was perfect to watch the city go from day to night in the rotating dining room. Food: the amuse bouche of a seaweed salad with radish was phenomenal. A slightly sweet dressing that countered the brininess of the seaweed. The second course was yellowtail with asparagus and leeks, also quite good. The second course, beets with quinoa served slightly warm wasn’t for me, but others liked it. The third, a scallop with fregola in a butter froth was perfect. I could have had nothing but it all night long. The remaining dishes, herring, lamb, and the desert all underwhelmed. I generally don’t enjoy lamb, and it was true here. All others loved it. I would have enjoyed the desert if the rhubarb was cooked a bit more but it was quite stringy. Service: friendly but slow, even for Europe. However, it did allow us to spend the three hours we did watching the day turn in to night above Amsterdam. Overall a good experience worth doing once.

Nice food, service and beautiful panoramic rotating view.

The concept of the restaurant is nice, however food is just not special compared to the price given. Additionally, I think the biggest improvement is to not to hire student as service or at least let them wear properly clothes but not sneakers and jeans if you want to do as a high end restaurant!

The need for a deposit was odd. Normally a credit card is sufficient. However then we get the jist of the place. Let's start at the end. $621 for three of us. One was a 14 year old, not drinking. We did vere off the path with wine a little, but it was insufficient to satiate us after 3 hours until our main course arrived. I asked for the manager. "He's in the toilet" was the response. But one of the enterprising youngsters was smart enough to cover for the absent management. Cleverly they delivered a glass of Pol Roger to stop the disastrous google review.

A wonderful four-course pre-set meal. The quality of the dishes ranges from excellent to wonderful. The service is excellent. It is true that the portions are small and at the same time after dessert I was full. The only place in the Low Countries where I found coffee worthy of its name. Oh, and the view also adds, totally..

I’ll start for the strongest point which are the views you have while you are enjoying dinner. Then the reason of the 3 stars is because the quality of the food is pretty normal, we didn’t try anything amazing and we were not surprised with any dish. We were really disappointed with the dessert, we even left half of it because it was really a really hard to bite celery (too much celery too) and it didn’t fit with the rest of the dessert. There were almost no alcohol free options. I guess when you are going to this kind of restaurant you are expecting to be surprised by the chef and enjoy every dish but we didn’t.

The ever changing menu and view is simply elegant. Sunset is spectacular, while the cuisine melts your heart as it melts in you mouth. You can’t beat the beets, if you even get a chance to try them. Worth the time and value, relax it just gets better.
