Overall the whole experience was epic. The service stood out the most and our waiter was excellent and really made an effort to make our evening memorable. The atmosphere was lovely and really added to the experience. The food was delicious and plated exceptionally. The vegetarian options for the "bites" menu were few and it was not overly clear on the amounts or how or what to order on it. The main 4 course meal option really stood out and the cooking and delivery of the dishes really had a wow factor. For the vegetarian option, something with a bit more protein would have been a winner. I.e. incorporate a bean or quinoa element to the dish. The biggest complaint (not really a complaint) is that the portion sizes could have been bigger as it was so nice!!! Thank you all for your hard work and effort. We would love to return!!

An Unforgettable Birthday Experience! We chose Moon to celebrate our birthdays during our trip to Amsterdam, and it was hands-down the highlight of our entire time here. From the moment you step in, you realise this isn't just a meal, it is a full, curated experience. The restaurant features a rotating floor that takes about 45 minutes to do a complete 360 degree rotation. It is incredibly smooth and subtle, giving you an ever changing, panoramic view of the entire city, the winding river, and the gorgeous landscape below while you eat. The food was absolutely incredible, every single dish was beautifully presented and packed with flavor. To top it all off, the staff were lovely, attentive, and made us feel so welcome and celebrated for our special day. If you are looking for somewhere spectacular to celebrate a special occasion in Amsterdam, Moon is worth every single penny.

Subject: Official complaint regarding disrespectful and insulting treatment by security Dear Management of Madame Amsterdam, I hereby file an official complaint regarding the manner in which we were treated by multiple security guards at your establishment. We had made a reservation in advance and arrived expecting to have a pleasant evening. However, upon arrival, we were approached in a very rude and disrespectful manner without any clear reason. Despite our reservation, we were denied entry. In addition, we were addressed in a humiliating manner and even verbally abused, which we found to be completely unacceptable. A security guard with short hair and another security guard, a dark guy, behaved in a particularly provocative and unprofessional manner. Their attitude and behavior gave us the strong feeling that we were being treated unfairly and ensured that we did not feel welcome. I am a regular visitor and normally easily spend around €200 during an evening at Madame Amsterdam. After this humiliating experience, however, I cannot help but say that a subsequent visit is not worth even a euro to me as long as this kind of treatment by your security personnel is allowed. I expect this situation to be seriously investigated and appropriate measures to be taken. Everyone has the right to respectful treatment. Half a bottle of water was removed from the table without being asked for a new bottle. The bill charges 4 euros per bottle, so this should have been asked first.

Good food good drinks Well presented food, service could be more present on the table, due to on our visit ther was more then enough staff they had the time to be more present on the table. All other wishes come true, the only thing i would keep an eye on as gm or operation head would be the overfilled not well placed ashtray one floor lower

We booked a table, and it was confirmed by an AI system the restaurant had deployed. Upon arrival, the reservation wasn't validated, and they didn't give us a table. I find this a lack of organization and hospitality from such an establishment… and not even an apology.

I came all the way from Qatar, and as someone who travels frequently across Asia, Europe, and America, I can honestly say this was one of the most memorable dining experiences I’ve had. I chose Moon Restaurant to celebrate my son’s 20th birthday. I brought along a birthday card and a small birthday duck as a personal touch, and the staff kindly surprised us with a complimentary birthday dessert. They thoughtfully kept it on the side since they do not use fire candles, which was completely fine and very much appreciated. The attention to detail, warm hospitality, and overall experience made the celebration truly special. Thank you to the entire team for helping create such a wonderful memory for my son and me. We had a fantastic evening at Moon last Friday. The atmosphere, the food, and the service were definitely worth 5 stars. The young waiter who served us (red hair) took the time to explain the menu in detail and also engaged in interesting small talk about, for example, the other floors of the tower in between. I don't usually post reviews, but this time!! We absolutely loved our visit to Moon during our trip. In a cozy atmosphere, we were welcomed by a very attentive, smiling, and discreet team, who even offered us a complimentary dessert for our wedding anniversary! The view is beautiful, and the meal was excellent. We were surprised by the value for money, considering the quality. Rather than eating €15 paninis in the center of Amsterdam, go and spend a pleasant time at Moon, where you can also enjoy the attractions of the Adam Tower. If we return to Amsterdam, we will definitely eat at Moon again!

For 7 years we have been visiting this restaurant and it never gets old, atmosphere is great, food is exciting and prices are fantastic considering how people keep getting ripped off in many other places in Amsterdam with microwave food… it is one of our favourite places in Europe to go and enjoy a nice meal with an outstanding view and friendly service.

Ok, this is THE BEST restaurant I could find in Amsterdam. I tried at least 10 of them and this is the only one that I would highly recommend. It's located in the top of the Sir Adam hotel and they don't take walk ins so you have to make a reservation and pay ahead of time. I've been complaining about European service and how spoiled we are in America, well, this place will offer you American service in Europe. The restaurant rotates 360 degrees and it has spectacular views of the city at sunset. The food, even the starter bread I got with beer cheeses was outstanding. I kept sending my compliments to the chef because everything I tried was delicious. I'm definitely coming back here when in town

Moon was an amazing experience from start to finish. The multi-course menu was absolutely spectacular, with each step beautifully presented and full of flavor. The service was excellent as well: attentive, warm, and very professional. The place itself is stunning, with a unique atmosphere and incredible views. And of course, the fact that the restaurant rotates makes the whole experience even more special and memorable. A beautiful dinner, a great concept, and definitely a place I would recommend in Amsterdam.

We had a reservation for 6:00 PM, as we had booked the A'dam Lookout restaurant in advance. We were greeted very warmly and our coats were immediately taken care of. We were then shown to a lovely table right by the window, offering a beautiful view of Amsterdam. Because the restaurant revolves, the view changed almost every minute, making the time fly by. The four-course meal was very tasty and beautifully presented overall; however, my chosen duck was quite tough, which I mentioned to the server. Unfortunately, this couldn't be rectified – a shame…but we would still come back here on our next visit to Amsterdam, as everything else was excellent.

I came for breakfast to Moon as part of their 10 year anniversary, it was great! The ambience is gezellig. Given the large volume of people coming for the same event/offer, the staff were well organised and efficient at clearing tables and seating everyone. The service was also good and efficient. The views are amazing, worth coming here for the cosy vibes, great service and views.

The restaurant you have to try.... But in my opinion not entirely for the food. The staff was friendly, the vibe was great, and the view was stunning. And thats the main reason why you should do it. The food itself was good, but considering the price it was not perfectly in balance, or in harmony with each other and a bit of lack in imagination. Overall a fun experience, and if you're not an overly spoiled eater like myself you'll have a fantastic experience.

Loved the revolving restaurant and would love to come back one fine evening to see what the menu is like and to enjoy Amsterdam by night. Came for the 10-year anniversary breakfast, there was some congestion outside the lift when you reach the restaurant floor. Things are a bit slow there. I'm sure it's faster during normal dining times. The breakfast offering could have had a piece of cheese to balance out all the sweet stuff. Other than that, very nice.

What a great promotion as part of Adam Tower's 10th anniversary: ​​breakfast at Moon. Everything you need in the morning: good coffee, a Mimosa, a delicious cinnamon bun, yogurt with excellent granola, a fantastic view, and attentive service. Worth repeating!

Your questions are answered clearly, and they genuinely give the impression that they are pleased to welcome you as a guest. Add to that the fact that you receive several rounds of drinks on the house, of a high standard, and your evening is guaranteed to be a success. Heavenly! One small point of attention: gender-neutral restrooms are less appropriate in such a beautiful establishment. For the ladies, it would also be desirable to have a bit more light by the mirrors... 😉

Had another fantastic evening. This time I was with my mother to celebrate her 85th birthday. We were really spoiled. We were immediately offered a glass of bubbly of our choice, followed later by a delicious cake and then chocolates. We had the 4-course menu. Every course was surprising and delicious. Beautifully presented plates, surprising combinations and flavors, and on top of that, a unique view. Also, a round of applause for the service: professional, hospitable, attentive, and friendly. We visited the restaurant for dinner and overall had a really positive experience. Before arriving, we had to postpone our reservation by 30 minutes and were surprised to be greeted by an automated voice system, which turned out to be an AI assistant, and it handled the change smoothly without any issues. The welcome on arrival was adequate, though not particularly warm. One small detail we missed was receiving a tag or number for our coats at the cloakroom, which would have made it easier to identify them later. We started with the Taco with enoki and papaya. It was fine for the price, though we expected a crunchier texture. Both oysters we tried - the one with elderflower and shallot, and the one with black bean and leek - were excellent. A note for future guests: the bar only prepares drinks from the signature menu. We ordered the Honeybush, which was good. The room temperature, however, was pretty cold and could be raised for a more comfortable atmosphere. The Steak Tartare was not the classic knife-cut version you might expect. Its texture was closer to a meat cream, and the flavor of the beef itself was not particularly good. Still, the dish works well as a whole thanks to the peanuts for crunch, the vegetables and chili for balance, and the overall composition. As a complete plate, it was really enjoyable, even though the quality of the meat alone was not convincing. We were pleasantly surprised by the Gnocchi with feta and yellow curry. We had no specific expectations, but the dish was well executed: the gnocchi had an unusually crispy exterior, almost like a chip, while the curry was balanced and not overpowering. The feta and vegetables tied everything together nicely. The Rib eye was genuinely good, flavorful, and cooked very well. The side of potatoes with mushrooms was decent, complemented by a tomato cream that added nice depth. The Pulpo was one of the highlights of the meal: perfectly cooked, very tender, and served with a creamy potato purée and a bright pico de gallo. We also really appreciated the bread and butter which was really tasty, reminiscent of the Amsterdam-style presentations. For dessert, we ordered the Dame Blanche. It was good and had a subtle cinnamon undertone that reminded us of kruidnoten. Considering the overall experience, the fixed four-course menu is very fairly priced, especially compared with the average dining costs in Amsterdam. The restaurant delivered solid dishes with memorable highlights. We really loved this place and we’d definitely come back again!

It was a bit of a bumpy start because we, nine people, were split into two tables without prior notice. But with a little flexibility, improvisation, and customer service, everything worked out perfectly. The four-course lunch menu was delicious, the service welcoming, and the view—well, the view—was of Amsterdam and its surroundings ;-)

The food and the view were amazing! You sit on a rotating platform, so you see the whole city passing by—truly amazing. We received explanations about the food with each course, and it was delicious and beautifully presented. The only downside to this restaurant is that it's clearly been taken over by tourists. The menu is in English, and many of the staff only speak English. We also barely heard any Dutch around us. A little further down, a group of British tourists sat down and shouted all evening and were rude to the staff. At one point, a Spanish couple sat down next to us. The woman in this couple felt the need to play videos on her phone at a very loud volume. After a while, the staff addressed this, but unfortunately, it continued. So, for a truly authentic Amsterdam atmosphere and conviviality, I would choose a different restaurant, one that hasn't been taken over by tourists.

We had a wonderful meal, were pampered, and entertained. Even if you lose the receipt, you can still ask them to send it back months later, and that's no problem at all. Keep up the good work!

The night begins in a very unique way: you arrive by boat, which already gives the whole experience a special and exciting touch. Upon arrival, the staff welcomed us warmly, and then we took the high-speed elevator up the tower — a little preview of the incredible views to come. A’DAM Lookout stands about 100 meters (328 ft) tall, right at the top of the iconic A’DAM Tower. From the moment you step out, you’re met with a 360-degree panoramic view over Amsterdam: the historic canals, the IJ river, the port, and even the Dutch landscape stretching out into the distance. It’s impossible not to keep turning around to admire the city from every angle. We dined at MOON, the revolving restaurant on the 19th floor. The restaurant slowly rotates a full 360 degrees over the course of the meal, allowing you to enjoy continuously changing views without ever leaving your seat. It’s truly magical — a mix of fine dining and a moving skyline. Before our visit, we submitted our food preferences on their website, and everything was perfectly prepared. The dishes were beautifully presented, full of flavor, and felt very high-end. Combined with the ever-changing view, the whole dinner felt like a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Now, it is on the expensive side — definitely pricier than a regular dinner in Amsterdam. But honestly, it’s completely worth it. You’re not only paying for the food; you’re paying for an unforgettable atmosphere, the rotating 360° view, the height, the unique arrival by boat, and a dining experience that feels truly special. Overall, I can highly recommend A’DAM Lookout to anyone who wants a memorable evening in Amsterdam. It’s the perfect choice for a romantic night out, a celebration, or simply an extraordinary experience you won’t forget. It may be more expensive, but it’s absolutely worth every euro.

4th time visiting on our annual trip to Amsterdam and it was as stunning as always. The refit earlier this year has introduced some really comfortable seating positioned to enhance the views across the city whilst you dine, and changes to the lighting have effectively eliminated glare from the windows to give a much clearer line of sight. Food as always was delicious, beautifully presented and well described by the staff. Service from Martijn was friendly, professional and efficient, he looked after us really well. Looking forward to coming back on our next visit to the city.

Very good. There's a set menu in the evening and it costs €70 per person, plus extras. The food is excellent, they're clean and super welcoming. The dishes are excellent, and the view is exceptional.

What a unique experience! Restaurant Moon truly surprised me. We were here on July 26th, and it was truly one of the most special dinners I've ever had. The restaurant slowly rotates, giving you a panoramic view of all of Amsterdam while you eat. That alone makes it magical; you see the city constantly changing while you're sitting at your table. The food was truly a 10/10. Every course was a complete taste sensation: refined, creative, and beautifully presented. You can tell there's a lot of love put into the dishes. The combination of view, atmosphere, and flavor makes the whole experience simply perfect. The presentation, the flavor, the service… everything is perfect here. The food was very good. Portions were okay and normal for a four-course meal (contrary to what some reviews say). Cocktails were somewhat dependent on taste and perhaps too experimental. The wine is definitely recommended. The staff is knowledgeable.

We dined with five people on November 12th at 7:00 PM. The food and wines were excellent, as was the service. However, there was a comment: we paid for six people, but there were only five of us (see reservation). We asked to have this corrected. The phone was connected to a computer that would send it to us for correction, via email (a second request based on the computer's advice). No response yet. That's a shame.

What stood out for us this time, was the new thoughtful layout for the 2-person seating, rather than having both diners face the window, one gets the ever-changing spectacular skyline, while the other witnesses the same beauty indirectly - reflected in your partner’s eyes, along with smiles of delight 🌃👁️ What might seem like a sacrifice of “equal” view rights is, in fact, a graceful recentering of attention. A truly special night in every way. Thanks to the mind behind the new Moon - not just for the amazing dining experience, but for the beautiful reminder that what is more precious than the view are the moments and the genuine connection shared across the table ♥️

What a experience the restaurant spins around slowly giving you a 360 view of the city. Me and the wife went when it was dark the views where amazing. Now the food WOW the FLAVORS were AMAZING. 4 course meal and we ordered different meals to try everything it was so delicious. I would highly recommend. Very romantic.

Attempts to be polished and refined but misses the mark. Servers are wearing street tennis shoes, sitting down at the table with guests, and pace of meal was terrible. The shrimp toast, one of the oysters was ok, but the rest was confusing and not particularly tasty. The ingredients and flavor combinations was very odd, like coffee beans on an oyster for example. The ribeye was incredibly thin and closer to deli meat that a steak.
