What a wonderful experience, from start to finish, with each bite perfectly balanced in terms of flavor and texture, but also for their originality. The "Roots to Leaves" concept they offer allows you to discover a host of local foods and absolutely showcase them. With outstanding service, you feel like you're staying with family. I recommend it 1000%!

The restaurant is obviously a labor of love - thoughtful, interesting, and amazingly delicious food with an extensive wine list. Each plate in our multi-course meal was beautifully presented. A true highlight of our trip to Amsterdam!

Had dinner here yesterday. Great service, nice atmosphere and delicious food. Bella and Morris know how to put delicious dishes on the table with fine vegetables and such. The wine offered is also worth mentioning.

Amazing food, I mean it. It's seriously up there in my top favourite restaurants experiences. The serving person was great and explained everything in detailed, I personally loved that you had to wait a little because you could really feel calm and digest and taste the food instead of (I often do this) chomp down and be done within minutes. Greatly recommend.

It was our first fully vegan tasting menu and we were impressed by every single dish - everything was delicious and the use of high quality ingredients was evident. We went for four courses, which was a good amount of food for us, leaving us feeling satisfied but not too full. The owner also created a very calm and welcoming atmosphere, making it overall a very enjoyable experience.

Morris is a master. I'm not sure what else to say. Our top vegan restaurant in Amsterdam. No comparison to anything else.

What a great find, this very refined vegan restaurant in the Spaarndammerbuurt, close to the Pontsteiger ferry. I am not a pure vegan myself, more of a flexi-vegetarian with chicken and fish on my own menu every now and then. But this restaurant shows how incredibly tasty food can be cooked using only plant-based ingredients, every course. The time between courses is quite long, but we did not find that disturbing. I was there with a good friend and we took a four-course menu for 49 euros, the smallest choice. This turned out to be enough to satisfy a reasonable appetite. Excellent wine and beer brewed by women completed the experience. The acoustics were excellent despite the small space, the tables were not too close together. Time flew by, when I paid we were the only guests left.

Never have veggies tasted so good! My Mum and I had a 4-course meal at Morris & Bella and enjoyed every part of it (special mention goes to our samphire intro course), largely because of our host's knowledgable explanations of each dish and its ingredients. Which were all unwaveringly delicious. Every aspect was fresh and flavoursome, with many veggies I don't get the chance to eat often. Beautiful sauvignon blanc too. Especially if you are veggie, Morris & Bella is a gem just off Amsterdam's beaten track you cannot miss.

Absolutely incredible food! Bella was so lovely and informative when it came to the vineyards that the wine pairings came from as well as where the plants themselves came from. Morris and Bella both were so lovely, the meal was in the top 2 of best meals I’ve ever had in my life, and the experience was great! It was a lovely location for our romantic birthday dinner.

If they had a vegan/plant based Michelin award Morris and Bella would be 5 stars! From dreamy unique flavors that pop in your mouth to the excellent artful presentation. It wins all around. The 6 course is the only way to go to truly appreciate the genius of it all. So if you are a vegan save up your money and treat yourself to a delectable gastronomic experience.

IF YOU ARE VEGAN/PLANT BASED AND HAVE THE FUNDS THIS IS A MUST TRY EXPERIENCE ! I have never written a google review, but I felt compelled after the most extraordinary dining experience of my whole life. Ensure you read that it’s a slow dining experience before going, and brace yourself for the most wonderful 2.5 hrs of your life (this was for 6 courses as well as two extra taster courses free of charge!) The whole restaurant was ran just by Morris and Bella and all the love, creativity and talent was shown in every dish, its explanation and its taste. Despite being the fine dining experience, there was a no judge in the atmosphere, which as someone who has never been to fine dining restaurant and was wearing crocs just made this experience more special. I have never had food like it, and it’s opened my eyes to new food as someone who’s been vegan for 7 years. Bella, a big thank you to you for running after me after I left my hat and sunglasses too, she ran a whole block to make sure I didn’t leave them behind… It’s a MUST try, make sure to book in! Plenty of local sourced alcohol and n/a options. Thanks Bella and Morris for the best evening!

It's fantastic how Morris and Bella, just the two of them, can seriously compete with De Nieuwe Winkel with their team of more than 20 people. Incredibly original, versatile, delicious and special. How things from the garden and the environment on your plate can be transformed into something so beautiful and delicious is truly a miracle. Can't wait to go again❤️

We really enjoyed the 5-course menu! They were parties, every single one of them! What a special Mother's Day gift this turned out to be. Special ingredients and made and served with so much love! All praise for Morris and Bella!!

The most amazing vegan fine dining experience ever! The chef (Morris) creates miracles on your plate with vegetables you don’t eat every day. Bella is kind of a wine professor, she pairs the courses with amazing (often local) wines and has a secret book of limited wines for the connoisseurs. Also amazing; they use almost everything of the produce and have almost no waste. Highly recommended.

What an amazing experience! We went for the second time. Everything from the starter to the dessert is a surprise. Great service on the top with a passionate chef. We will come back for sure.

This restaurant has been on my wish list for a while because of its completely vegetarian menu. They use very nice ingredients that you rarely see in restaurants. We were surprised by this ourselves! Not every dish was to our taste, such as the soup which was too bland, but all in all it was a very good experience. The hostess is super friendly and the homemade liqueur is highly recommended. Moreover, the inside is just a cozy restaurant with a few tables. Only the advice regarding wines could be a little better :)

Yesterday we had a fantastic meal at Bella and Morris. The food was varied and refined. Flowers, plants and herbs were used and the flavors were very special and delicious. We were impressed.

What a super nice restaurant! Have eaten twice now and had a wonderful evening both times. And that as a non-vegan. The quality of the food is not inferior to 1 star, but without the fuss surrounding it and in a nice intimate living room setting. I am a fan!

Absolutely delicious menu. Everything was so perfectly balanced and tasty, me and my boyfriend loved every single dish. They were also very sweet with us since we were on a rush and they were able to accommodate for us so we can taste the whole menu with our limited time. On March 22, we went to dinner with Morris and Bella at the invitation of good friends. What a wonderful experience/surprise that was! A fantastic vegan restaurant: small-scale in terms of design, cozy furnishings, great chef (Morris=Maurice) and a wonderful hostess (Bella=Annebel). Very expert explanation in advance about the various menu courses. And what a work of art each course was in itself! The knowledge about the wines etc. was also phenomenal. Everything went very smoothly. Excellent price / quality ratio. Even if you are a big fish and/or meat lover... then definitely go to this excellent vegan restaurant. All in all, a restaurant worthy of one or more Michelin stars! Thanks Morris and Bella!!

Fine dinning plant based course dinner. The flavors were extremely creative, every dish was very well balanced and they have an AMAZING wine list.

It was a wonderful experience at Morris & Bella. The food was very tasty. Fine dining for everyone. It was the perfect step between everyday food and sophisticated star cuisine that might not appeal to everyone. The service was always attentive. The dishes were carefully explained to us and they always kept an eye on our drinks. The restaurant is also very cozy. A light living room atmosphere set in and we felt as if we were guests of friends who cook very well. The menu changes every 6 weeks and is always seasonal, which makes a visit not boring even for regular customers. We'll stop by here again on our next trip to Amsterdam.

What a VEGAN discovery, delicious 3 course dinner. Nice quiet terrace, great service by Bella herself. This restaurant has been around for 6 years and the food is excellent. Prepare for a taste bud feast. The restaurant now has many great contacts with companies in the area. Local organic vegan, everything here is good and above all DELICIOUS!!!!

Nice small place with good food (especially if you like plant-based). It is a secret place to visit as it is slightly from the centre but well worth a small walk.

If you want to eat here, you should bring some time. On the one hand, because Bella & Moris run the place together, he in the kitchen and she in the service, and on the other hand, because the dishes are put together with great attention to detail and in imaginative compositions. Bella is calm personified and very friendly and attentive. A successful vegetarian meal and definitely worth a visit, keep it up!

Heerlijk gegeten! Je kunt 4, 5 of 6 gangen kiezen. Wij hadden 4 en alles was lekker. Ik ben geen veganist maar ben niets tekort gekomen en zou zeker terugkomen. Lekkere amuse, broodje, olie, bonbonnetje bij de koffie, het was heel verzorgd. Het was mooi weer, we hebben de hele avond buiten gezeten. Gezellig plekje.

Dit is echt een fantastisch restaurant. Gepassioneerde veganistische keuken met zeer goede service, gebruik van innovatieve ingrediënten met goede wijnkeuzes. Ben zelf niet vegetarisch of veganistisch, maar hier gaat een wereld voor je open. Prijs is schappelijk met 50 euro voor een 4 gangen menu.

Das bisher beste vegetarische Restaurant in dem ich bisher essen durfte. Ein wirklich großartige Komposition der verschiedenen Gänge, bei dem nicht ein Gang in Qualität und mit Liebe zum Detail abfiel. Die Karte war mit sechs Gängen nicht groß aber man kann daraus 4, 5 oder 6 Gänge wählen. Der Service war sehr gut und wirklich sehr zuvorkommend. Und auch die Weinkarte war mindestens genau so gut. Viele kleine Winzer mit einer guten Mischung aus klassischen und organischen Weinen. Wir werden auf jeden Fall wieder kommen und ich kann diesen Restaurant wirklich nur empfehlen.

Op het eten is niets aan te merken, heerlijk, creatief nieuwe smaken en je hebt geen spijt dat vega of vegan bent geworden. Morris & Bella is zo'n plek. 3 weken geleden geweest en ze krijgen 5 sterren. Zodra er een nieuw (lente?) Menu is ben ik weer van de partij. Dank voor deze heerlijke avond. De vega burger.

The food was simply exceptional. When eating the meals Morris & Bella had crafted, you’ll truly appreciate the sheer level of detail, precision, care and creativity that goes into every item of food they serve. The modest sized and fairly inconspicuous restaurant makes for the perfect space to enjoy some wine and delicious food. The service from Bella was outstanding, who kindly recommended me the perfect wine to pair with my food and took the time to offer a detailed explanation of every item she served. Needless to say I will be returning when next in Amsterdam! I’ll end by saying this is an absolute must for all vegans and meat eaters alike. Do not miss out.

Hands-down the best meal I’ve ever had. Flavour combinations were amazing, every course was fantastic. Cheese course in particular was a revelation (and I am not even vegetarian, let alone vegan). Particularly blown away by the crème brûlée aubergine in the dessert.

Great experience and the food was top quality! Service was quite slow (especially if you order the full menu) as there is only one person serving and one in the kitchen, furthermore the restaurant was not even full so account for that if you want to dine here.

A vegan restaurant where you leave with a full feeling. Both culinary and food-wise. The reservation went smoothly online. On arrival, we were warmly welcomed by Bella, one of the two founders of the restaurant. She kindly told us that we could sit outside, but if it got cold, we could also go inside. What kindness. The terrace outside I would describe as simple romantic and full of flowers and plants. Comfortable seats. After a brief explanation of the menu, we ordered the four courses menu. My girlfriend was recommended a tasty non-alcoholic iced tea, and I took the white dry house wine. Both came right through and we immediately fell in love. The quality of the drinks was excellent. The four courses were nothing short of amazing. Slightly high on taste. Creative. What struck us was that the chef takes the most modern insights into healthy nutrition into account. Even sufficient grains and beans had been thought of—unique in the world of vegan restaurants. "No fries on the way home because you are still hungry," the owner told us. This restaurant is a must for anyone who wants to eat tasty and healthy. We ended up paying 120 euros, including a tip, for two four courses, water, and six drinks. We will come back here.

This restaurant deserves Michelin stars. Incredible combination of flavours, presentation and perfection. E.g. vegan ice cream made from marinating bramble branches in olive oil, sourcing ancient type of onion only grown by a select few, turning strawberries into tiny spheres of squishy delight. I could go on, but at the price they charge, this is a steal. It is a better deal to fly to The Netherlands to eat here than going to a Michelin star restaurant here in my home town. Don't miss this place!!!!!
