Wow. Unique in its kind. What a lovely restaurant with genuine people and excellent service. They put a lot of thought into the dishes, and the price-quality ratio is excellent. I'd love to come back soon.

Fantastic food, amazing experience!

I came in with no expectations (last minute invite from friends to join them for a mid-week bite) and ended up having one of my favourite causal dining experiences in Amsterdam. This is clearly a labour of love from the owners. Everything from the food to the drinks and the little decor details feel carefully considered and exacting. The service was also impeccable - attentive and professional, it really stood out in a city where horeca service can be very hit-or-miss. I’d recommend bringing a friend or two as the menu lends itself to sharing. Looking forward to coming back soon.

I love this place. Incredible service, very attentive and passionate staff. I would come back again just for that but they also have generous servings. At lunch time they serve onigiri and it’s the best in Amsterdam! Would recommend to anyone.

I came here with two friends on a quiet Wednesday evening for dinner and drinks. We really enjoyed ourselves and definitely recommend it if you're into places with heart, soul and good vibes. The service is a rare find in Amsterdam; they made us feel at home as soon as we walked in. These two cousins were patient and considerate while they walked us through the menu, which they knew inside and out. The food was really good, but the cocktails (!) were spectacular. We tried eight different drinks (hahahaha) and they were all over-the-top -- in the best way. There were lasers and bubbles and foam and dry ice, but what impressed us was how each "gimmick" actually added something to the drinks. It wasn't just for show (even though everything was presented beautifully), proof that they put a lot of thought and care into what they do. We ended up staying two hours longer than expected because we were having such a great time chatting with the owner. :)

A superb address! The gyoza and cocktails are excellent, the owners are super friendly and creative, and the atmosphere is cozy. We love this restaurant and can't recommend it highly enough!

I was cycling around pretty hungry when my first dinner option was too busy. Saw this place and thought I would give it a go. What a find!. The staff are so attentive and the food is so throughtfull. The cheesecake with basil on top is fantastic and not to be missed. Should also say the beer selection is great.

Cocktails excellent , food good but the most nice thing was the hospitality. People were so nice and polite and interested on giving you a nice experience. This is not common in the Netherlands where people that are working in restaurants or cafes usually don't care atball. And last thing: I had the best cheesecake of my life

There is no shortage of creativity. The cocktails were true works of art and very tasty. The food consisted of good portions by Amsterdam standards and was of good quality.

This place is simply outstanding. I first came here a couple of years ago, and it amazed me then. Every time I’ve returned, it has only gotten better—tonight, I was completely blown away. The gyoza are perfection, the flavors bold yet perfectly balanced, and the cocktails absolutely incredible. Every bite is an experience, and you can truly feel the passion behind every dish. The owner is a genius, and the consistency in quality over the years is remarkable. The whole team makes you feel incredibly welcome, and the atmosphere is superb. I really, really love this place and can't recommend it enough—five stars aren’t nearly enough! If you’re a fan of great food, this is a must-visit. And whatever you do, don’t leave without trying the cheesecake… trust me, you’ll thank me later!

Obsessed with their creative cocktail and gyoza concept! Everything was delicious! The chicken gyozas were amazing, and the eggplant one was a standout too. The staff was super friendly and engaging, and the vibe was perfect. Can’t wait to go back and explore more of the drinks and sides! Don’t forget to order the cheesecake!

The gyoza flavors just don't taste good. Rendang gyoza, fish gyoza etc just don't work. I wish they had more classic Chinese gyoza variants rather than doing such strange fusion food.

As a frequent visitor, i must say this place is something special. The cocktails and presentation are outstanding. Everything on the menu is very taste. Friends from out of the country often visit and specifically ask for Mr Gyoza!

We were helped by the extremely friendly Mario, who always took the time to explain everything thoroughly. The restaurant has a very nice and intimate atmosphere and the dishes, cocktails and selection of wines are excellent!

A great spot to visit with friends. You can order different dishes to share, making it easy to try several options. However, vegetarian choices are limited—the mushroom dish was delicious, but the black bean option lacked flavor. The drinks are the highlight, each served with impressive presentation—think smoke, unique glasses, and even lights. Depending on what you order, it's an entertaining experience. The atmosphere is nice, but sitting on the balcony can make it hard to interact if you're with a larger group. The prices are quite high for the area, and the portions don’t quite justify the cost.

Great cocktails but very very poor food.

Overall one of the best dining experiences I've ever had in Amsterdam. You get a warm cloth to freshen up your hands, a complimentary soup, and the hospitality from the owners and staff is flawless. We enjoyed our dinner thoroughly, and would recommend this to anyone who does not only appreciate good vibes, but wants to support two very passionate owners. We visited in April 2022 as well, and a lot has changed since: more seating, a reservation system, chili oil and soy sauce for sale (which we bought). The restaurant looks fantastic, guys. Congratulations!

Amazing dinner, amazing experience!! All the dishes and drinks (we basically tried all the menu) were incredible, super tasty and very well presented. The staff is also extremely kind and nice. I HIGHLY recommend this restaurant and don’t miss out their fantastic cheesecake!

Great restaurant and concept. All the dishes were perfectly balanced and not your standard gyozas. We tried the kimchi chicken and forest gyoza along with the chicken karaage and halibut. The service was very friendly, all in all had a great dinner!

Amazing experience! This was some of the best food we had in Amsterdam. The gyozas were incredible, especially “King of the Forrest” (even for non vegetarians). The service was amazing too. They were very helpful and understanding, and we were given a delicious miso soup on the house while waiting for the food, as well as a hot towel. Nothing bad to say about this place!

Nice vibe, warm staff and tasty food

Their service are really friendly and considerate. And the ambiance is cozy. Lots of different sake to choose from and good quality. You won’t miss anything even if you didn’t try their gyoza. But the fried mushrooms are good, really light and crispy. The cocktail comes with great presentation and a reasonable price, but you can definitely have better options in town.

Great restaurant! We tried the Classics Pork Gyoza, the Dutch Stoof Gyoza and the King of the Forrest Gyoza and they were all delicious! Super interesting flavors. The Oyster Mushroom Karaage was delicious as well. They also serve great cocktails with extra attention to the service. Tried the Raichi and it was very good.

Amazing place in the center of Amsterdam. The food and the cocktails were great. I strongly recommend. Our favorite gyoza was the one with the forest mushrooms but all types of gyoza are worth trying.

The mushroom ravioli is exceptional

As soon as we arrived in Amsterdam we came across this restaurant a stone's throw from our accommodation, so we decided to stop for dinner. The place is small but very welcoming, furnished in Japanese izakaya style. We ordered a potato salad, simple but really excellent, some corn dogs with a very particular teriyaki sauce and both classic and kimchi gyoza, both delicious and above all not too heavy. The girl who served us was very kind, the dishes arrived within a few minutes of the order despite the quantity of customers, and the price was quite honest given the quality. Really excellent!

I loved everything about this place and it’s going to be my favorite spot. The gyoza tastes different from the Japanese ones but it was very tasty and felt healthier. The potato salad and the fried chicken was also very good and it also doesn’t taste heavy. The cocktails were also very good, nice presentation. I definitely recommend this place!!

Nice, intimate ambiance. Perfect for date nights / cozy dinners. Service is attentive and kind. I was so excited to go as I love gyozas ánd cocktails! But.. Food and cocktails are not very good. They advertise big with being “the only gyoza bar in the world”, but it really doesn’t mean anything for the quality at least. The gyoza dough is quite thick and tends to make them drier. It tastes more like pasta, than nice authentic fatty gyoza. The filling is often a bit blant/dry too and lacks balanced flavours. The descriptions of everything sound mouth-watering, but the execution really disappoints. The kimchi chicken gyozas with curry foam were the most enjoyable though. And the fried chicken with kewpie mayo was delicious. I’m sorry, but the cocktails are really not tasty. They prioritize making cool moves, adding smoke and fire and cute glasses, but they don’t measure any of the ingredients. The flavour balance is completely off and the passion fruit smoke that they let you smell with one of the drinks reeks of bad shisha.. Maybe my expectations were too high, but I’d only come back for the atmosphere and some fried chicken as a pre-dinner.

Gyoza & cocktails - what a cool concept! We went here for dinner and had a lovely time. The service is super friendly and attentive, the food is delicious - a mix of classic and more modern interpretations of gyozas and all the cocktails come with an experience and are tasty as well. It’s great value for money and really one of our favourite places in AMS!

Amazing service and presentation. The gyoza's were great as well. The mocktails were equally as great, actually tastes like a cocktail and not lemonade. Don't skip on the cheesecake, probably the best dessert I've ever eaten!

Last night we had dinner with friends at Mr. Gyoza. in the 1st Helmerstraat in Amsterdam. I have been to many Japanese restaurants but what they serve at Mr. I didn't know Gyoza yet. In a word, delicious and fantastic cocktails are also served. A new pearl in Amsterdam

I would definitely recommend visiting mr gyoza for their high tier service and hospitality. Their gyozas are well decorated and have a unique flavor set. You should also try out their sides like the mushroom karaage, and definitely finish it of with the cheesecake and basel. The only downside is that you are not able to make reservations and you have to apply to the waiting list at the restaurant itself.

Truly excellent!! The waitresses are extremely nice and the dishes are exceptional, unique and original with flavours that balance each other perfectly (the cheesecake is a must). We did not even wait for long. Everything is thought to provide a unique and exquisite experience. Slightly expensive but so worth it!

This place is so good, fits all occasions, catch-up with friends, date night… great concept and gyozas. There is something for everyone. They also change up some of the dishes on the menu which gives gyoza lovers like me a reason to go back time and time again. Great cocktails and vibes, highly recommended.

The vibe and atmosphere is nice, small but cosy, friendly service… however I am very disappointed about the food. Gyoza is done by a machine which is over burnt, the skin of gyoza is very thick, meat is tasteless . Not authentic at all. I’ll expected if you called yourself Mr Gyoza, at least the gyoza should be something signature …...

Il locale è piccolo ma molto carino, è curato bene e il servizio è stato eccellente! Davvero voglio che i ragazzi leggano che sono proprio bravi e gentili! L’unico problema era proprio il cibo!! I goyza erano bruciati! Lascio la foto come prova… parla da sé! Peccato!

A rare establishment in the center of Amsterdam. Really top notch delicious, creative gyoza and cocktails. Served and presented beautifully. AND reasonable prices? This is a huge winner.

Hele lekker en creatieve gyoza's, en hetzelfde geld voor de cocktails. Zo krijg je ze nergens anders. Ook fijn dat je gewoon kunt binnenlopen. Mn fotos doen geen recht aan hoe lekker en mooi de gerechten waren, maar geven wellicht een idee.

Goede service, kwaliteit eten is top en de sfeer in het restaurant ook. Alsof je je even niet in Amsterdam begeeft. Er was veel aandacht voor ons tijdens het eten en extra toelichting over de hapjes en drankjes. We komen zeker terug!
