Came here after shopping and greeted by the very friendly host who made us feel right at home. Food was amazing 10/10 would come again!!!

The best greek food outside of Greece! And the waiters/ staff were absolutely amazing!!! A TOP TIER experience for sure! We will definitely be back !!! :) Efcharisto poli!!!

We got one chicken souvlaki and one gyros on plate. Souvlaki was delicious but gyros wasn’t fresh it tasted from supermarket.

We missed Greek food and went to Mythos. George loves Greek cuisine and it shows! Choriatiki is truly Greek with a perfect slice! We also liked the mixed meat platter with steak and souvlaki very tasty!!! Happy New Year George, we hope to see you again!

6 de nosotros comimos con cervezas por 120 que me pareció genial en el centro. No estaba seguro al principio, pero el propietario era amable y el lugar era cálido. Todos estábamos contentos con nuestra comida, servido fresco y sabroso. Recomendaría este lugar.

A small cozy restaurant. The food was incredibly tasty.

The food was great, the atmosphere and staff was great! 10/10 recommend. My friend and i walked in around 22:30 and the kitchen was open! We got saganaki, zucchini fritters, dolmas, lamb chops and it was all so amazing!

I am 29 years old.. I have traveled to many countries and restaurants... but I have never seen a greater welcome than this restaurant.. in my life

Absolutamente horrible. A pesar de leer las críticas y pensar que este sería un buen lugar para comer, estaba lejos de ello. Conseguimos el halloumi para empezar y vino nadando en aceite y la ensalada tenía un sabor gracioso como si acabase de venir de una nevera después de una semana de sentarse allí. Luego fuimos a por giroscopios de pollo y la carne estaba tan dura y sin sabor. Y vino con un cuarto de pan pitta. ¿No se supone que los giros están listos para envolver? Las patatas fritas eran sosas y aceitosas y vimos la cocina usando el microondas para la mayor parte de nuestro plato. Honestamente puedo decir que lo mejor de la comida fueron las pocas cebollas que estaban sentadas encima del “pollo”. No recomendaría ya que mientras escribo esto mi pareja tiene calambres estomacales muy malos y se siente muy mal.

As a Greek person, I can confidently say that the experience felt just like eating in my home country! We had gyros, spare ribs, fish, and some starters, and everything was fantastic. The prices are excellent for Amsterdam, and the staff was friendly and welcoming. We will definitely visit again!

One waiter brought drinks, another just took the menu book from us and didn't ask what we wanted to eat. After 10 minutes the first person came with the question: what do you want to drink? Our answer was that we have already brought you the drinks, we want to order food. My moussaka was cold and was simply put in the microwave after my complaint. It was very quiet, yet no one came to ask if everything was to your liking. Three times a lady from outside walked to the kitchen with plastic bags of bonduelle frozen vegetables. So unfortunately not a second time for us.

Este restaurante griego es un hallazgo fantástico! La comida es deliciosa, el personal es amable, el ambiente es encantador, y el servicio es de primera categoría. En general, es un gran lugar para una experiencia gastronómica encantadora!

Great food and great environment!

Gister su wezen conoció a mijn vriendin. Een zalm besteld en een dorade. De zalm zat vol graten en er zat een hoop aankoeksel op de zalm waardoor er een verkoolde smaak aan zat. de dorade was niet lang genoeg gebakken. Er werd niet gevraagd hoe alles heeft gesmaakt, dit es wellicht maar beter, want het had het niet. Ayer vine a comer con mi novia. Pedí un salmón y un besugo. El salmón estaba lleno de huesos, y había mucho residuo quemado en él, dándole un sabor carbonizado. El besugo no se coció lo suficiente. Nadie preguntó cómo sabía todo, que probablemente sea lo mejor, porque no sabía bien".

We have just left the restaurant and are so delighted that we are going back tomorrow... Excellent quality of dishes (moussaka and pork gyros)... warm welcome... speed of service.... Greek atmosphere (music and bougainvillea )...fair prices...I highly recommend this address😀😀

The owner did not leave us alone our entire meal. He Tried to ask personal questions and political questions. I found multiple hairs in the "Greek salad" which was large chunks of cucumber onion and tomato with a block of feta.

It's soo good . This is the best dinner in my life. I'm eat salmon grilled with Fries and it's so delicious.

Delightful place. They welcomed us at 10.30pm which is indeed true for Amsterdam It's a more unique than rare case. Kindness, education, and professionalism distinguishes them and I believe that all restaurants in Amsterdam should follow as an example. Restaurant that I highly recommend!!!!

Posto accogliente anche in tarda serata, quando tutti gli altri ristoranti nei dintorni ti mandano via perché le cucine sono già chiuse. Siamo arrivati alle 22.15 in 6 e ci hanno accolti con gentilezza e sorrisi: Dimitri e tutti i suoi collaboratori sono stati super veloci e attenti. Pita gyros ottime, abbiamo provato quelle al pollo e al maiale. Anche il pulled park molto buono. Consigliatissimo

my friend and i discovered this restaurant on our travels and proceed to go every single day for dinner. the price was very reasonable, food was delicious, and our waiter Dimitri was so friendly and fun to chat with. The owner was also very kind to us. Overall, would highly recommend.

If you are looking for the best greek food in Amsterdam, this is the place. We had Taramosalata, chicken gyros and Greek salad. The best taramosalata I've had outside Greece!! The service is excellent. The owner and his staff are super friendly and attentive. The interiors are tastefully decorated and the music heavenly. Food accompanied by Dimitris Mitropanos and Glykeria's songs transport you to Greece. What can you ask for more on a windy afternoon in Amsterdam!!

Very bad. This cannot be called Greek. Dry small salad. Not even tomatoes in the salad! I think the gyros is out of the pan and sour. All small pieces of meat. 1 tablespoon tzatziki, 5 onions on top. Bad pita, bad fries. Downright bad for this abnormally high price!

Lovely restaurant with a fantastic server and good food in large quantities. I did find it overpriced - but this is what you get on that touristy street.

I thought the food would be ok because it’s in a touristy area, but it was much better than I expected. The host was nice; a bit too talkative but I was by myself and I think he was excited to talk to someone. I had the lamb chops, they were a little overdone but flavorful.

We chose gyros and garlic bread, but unfortunately they were below expectations, given the price I would have expected much more. I do not recommend using the toilets, as they are dirty just like the bar.

We came across this restaurant a bit by chance and it was a very pleasant surprise, warm welcome, very good food, we had a great time.

While looking for a restaurant, we were lured into his restaurant by a friendly man off the street. It quickly became apparent that the food and service were good to very good. Recommendation is therefore made

A disaster. This has nothing to do with Greece 🇬🇷. The food doesn't taste good and is way too expensive. Even two ouzo with ice cream costs €14! It doesn't work at all.

Very authentic Greek restaurant. Food is great. Not only does the music make you feel like you are in Greece, the waiter is a very friendly man from Athens as well.

Absolutely disgusting, and not worth the title Greek food. Worse than mc Donald’s food quality has never been so low. I ate only after spending the money but the calamari was undercooked I had to heat it up myself in the airfryer and the souvlaki was not as pictured and thrown together like a child made it. I was completely unsatisfied and after eating spend the entire night with a stomach ache. Don’t order here. Save yourself.

The restaurant was really gorgeous with amazing food! Had a lot of vegetarian and meat options at a range of prices. The owner was lovely!

First off, the food is incredible, it's affordable for the quality of the food and beverages that they offer. Atmosphere is amazing, beautiful interior and comfortable places to rest. The lovely (Rimitri?), who is 72 years old is the kindest service person we have encountered, he is very good at what he does, the presentation of the food and the love he has whilst working at his age is commendable. The kitchen staff is hard-working and very efficient, we got our food timed perfectly - appetizer, main, desert. All in all a lovely experience and our favorite restaurant in Amsterdam.

Lousy restaurant. The waiter reeked of alcohol. We went because of the good reviews but the food had no flavor and the gyros meat was dry, like it had been reheated. I usually eat in many Greek restaurants but this was a bad experience. And the exaggerated price.

The food was very tasty and the waiters were also very accommodating. Since we had dinner on New Year's Day, there were a lot of people, but service was quick. The price-performance ratio was great.

The owner welcomed us and he was very funny and a kind person. The rest of the staff was silent and a little cold, not very helpful. I was with my girlfriend, we took 2 pitas gyros (11,90€ each) and they were ok, the meat didnt smelled so good, had a strange smell. Then we ordered a mussaka splitted in two (24,50€ for 1 mussaka) and it smelled and tasted really bad, we left more than half of it. 6,50€ for a 0,65 water (insane! But I saw that more or less that is the price in amsterdam restaurants). We would ve loved an attention because we spent 25 euro for a mussaka we didnt like, but anyway...

I'm assuming it's the owner but a lovley man was stood by the door as we was passing and helped talk talk through the menu. We decided on a gyro and it tasted delicious. Definitely recommend 🙂

Heerlijk gegeten hier, erg aangename sfeer al bij het binnenlopen, aardige eigenaar en rustig ingericht restaurant. We hebben de Souvlaki Chirino en de Gyros pork genomen en hebben allebei erg genoten. Het eten kwam snel en het heeft zeer goed gesmaakt. Sterk aan te raden restaurant!

Eten is heel lekker hier en je krijgt ook veel en het kost weinig

Great food for price that you don't see often nowadays. Paid 50€ (including a tip) for 5 courses and 2 drinks. Ordered baked feta, bread with garlic butter and baked potato as an appetizer and two pitas with chicken gyros as the main dish. Their portions (as are their drinks!, usually you get small glass bottles for the same, if not higher, price) are actually quite large as well. We definitely did not need as much food as we ordered. Definitely recommend.

We “accidentally” found this restaurant (due to an error in navigating to a different one) and it was a happy mistake! The owner of the restaurant was friendly and welcoming. He speaks English and seemed genuinely thrilled and appreciative to have us there. He was patient to explain the menu and offer suggestions. We settled on a few of the daily specials (pitas and pita plates) and they did not disappoint! Our whole family of 4 enjoys Greek food, and we all agreed it was some of the best we’d ever had. Both the chicken and pork were exceptionally tender and flavorful. The Tzatziki sauce was to die for. Prices were super affordable, especially compared to the restaurants on the main tourist streets. Highly recommend Mythos and would love to return!
