Sahan Amsterdam in Osdorp-Oost

We literally waited an hour for our food; no one noticed we were sitting at an empty table the whole time. And yet, plenty of people were milling around, arms crossed, looking around and wandering around. We mostly ordered mezzes. They looked delicious on the menu with a variety of flavors, but in the end, it was all yogurt. Just yogurt with the occasional indeterminate chili pepper. The price was definitely not worth it.

We went for dinner as a family with our 1-year-old child. The restaurant is very large and airy, with large tables. The environment is comfortable for children, and strollers can easily move around the restaurant. They have a very large aquarium, and they arranged our reservation next to it, which was a great help. We ordered three appetizers, a main course, and desserts. We were very pleased with everything we ate; the Leyla and Mecnun desserts were especially good. I can say that it has earned a place at the top of the list of places that serve the best Turkish cuisine in Amsterdam. The service was also very good, with very good communication skills. The staff were very polite and communicative. I will definitely choose this place again.

I went there with my partner. Lovely food with a nice ambiance. Tried their atom, hummus and hingel. I recommend to get Atom with their warm bread if you have a liking for spice! I really liked it given the fact it had bags of flavours! Ps. We forgot to take pictures of our food, I guess we were famished! 🙄

Good menu, nice variety of starters, a second vegetarian option for the main courses would be welcome: grilled vegetables with yogurt sauce? Turlu? Delicious Turkish wine and tasty desserts, though they are heavy after all the other food. We'd love to come back!

Some dishes are good but the overall culture is one of over charging. 12.50 for the smallest coban salata I have ever seen (a tiny bowl of tomato, cucumber, feta & onion).& the policy of no tap water is insulting— as though they were not already asking inflated prices. What should be an enjoyable dining experience ended up feeling exploitative. Disappointing.

I've been getting takeout from here more often recently, and the food is truly delicious! Especially their manti! The receptionist is also a wonderful man who loves her job and makes the customer feel welcome!

Is a chef himself and knows what is old and new. They could have changed then everything would have been ok. Mistakes can happen. But another waiter came instead. We discovered this restaurant by chance while passing by, and the customers' plates made us want to stop there. The welcome was initially a little strange from two waiters, giving the impression that we were not welcome. Fortunately, another waitress then came to greet us warmly, which improved our feeling. In terms of cuisine, the dishes are very good, but we were disappointed by the quantities: to accompany our meat, only two vegetables and a potato cut into four… It was really light.

A really nice and sunny terrace. Perfect place to have an aperol spritz in the sun. We also had the olives which were in a really nice marinade. And the feta dip with roquefort, dill and basil was amazing! You get nice fresh turkish bread on the side. The staff was very friendly and the service was quick. We will come here again soon! ☀️

We celebrated the first iftar of 2025 here. We were warmly welcomed. The staff were polite and very attentive. The dishes were served on time. Then we had dinner with delicious desserts. We will definitely come back again. One point for improvement is that the portions for that price could be a bit more.

An authentic place in the concept of cafe, snack bar, restaurant where you can go with your friends and family, I loved the decoration and the aquarium, I recommend the appetizers and hot appetizers, the Circassian chicken was excellent, the service was great, the dessert served after the meal was the best :)))

The thing is, I'm used to going to this restaurant every day, because I work nearby. So of course I order something cheap every day. One day there was a special occasion, a national holiday, and the restaurant was empty. I went there, but one of the employees told me it was full, when in fact it was completely empty.

This is the best Turkish restaurant in the Netherlands. They use high-quality products and you can taste that. The starters are a taste sensation, and the meat served is very tender. Service is professional and very hospitable.

I couldn't complain. Fast, good service, good food (I had the Sahan Burger), nice atmosphere, and prices are completely justified. Unfortunately there were no drinks on the menu. Highly recommended restaurant!

A Turkish restaurant, with a very nice ambience, very nicely decorated on a very busy street in Amsterdam-Osdorp We visited with eight people and the food was generally okay. The waiter was a bit pushy with our decisions, my request to listen more to what the customer would like. Prices are a bit too high for the portions, a burger for €16.50 that wasn't even big or 12 pieces of chicken wings for €17.50 are a bit too much. I was a bit annoyed that the prices for drinks weren't even listed.

Restaurant with a calm and chill atmosphere, the dishes are very tasty and gourmet. Small downside, the waiters are nice but the service is a little long. We waited 40 minutes to be served. I recommend

Wow you won't find this anywhere in the Netherlands anymore. Super friendly staff. Staff enjoy their work and are also alert to empty glasses and plates. Lots of choice and very tasty food. We had a delicious meal and will definitely come back. Excellent price-quality ratio

While walking around we came across this restaurant with Turkish specialties. They came to greet us at the door, and were immediately given a small menu for us to look at. We then got some very good advice from a very smiling little girl. Very beautiful setting, aquarium, very beautiful decor. But the food stood out. We discovered delicious flavors and spices! If we have to come back we will definitely come back! Great time. THANKS

During our visit with four people, we all ordered a hamburger menu. Unfortunately, the hamburger was very disappointing: the taste was so spicy and highly seasoned that me and my children could not eat it. We then ordered a künefe for dessert, but this dish was also disappointing. The künefe was served without the usual syrup and seemed to have been reheated several times. Normally künefe should be soaked in syrup, but we only received a little extra syrup after reporting it to the waiter. Due to the first, disappointing taste experience, the künefe no longer tasted as it should, and in the end we left it virtually untouched. Although the waiter apologized, the künefe was still added to the bill. All in all a disappointing experience and I would not recommend this restaurant to others.

The food was good. The staff was friendly. Our order got mixed up and it took a while to get it.

We had dinner here as a family last week, but unfortunately we were deeply disappointed. For the high prices we got very little food. For example, a small piece of meat with three fries and two pieces of zucchini, for which they charge €32.50. We asked for cutlery, which was delivered incorrectly twice, and we asked twice for bread that never came. Not once did anyone come to our table to ask if everything was okay. We had to ask ourselves if they could wipe our table. To conclude, we skipped dessert and did not leave a tip. This was the first and also the last time. And this while it wasn't even busy. Definitely not recommended!
