We had a delicious meal at Mewsim in Amsterdam Osdorp! The staff is very welcoming and the atmosphere is cozy. We opted for the grilled dishes, and they were tender and well-seasoned. The location by the water (Sloterplas) is also a big plus. Highly recommended, and we will definitely be back!!

The location is amazing but the food and “smoothies” terrible and expensive. The staff lied about their “homemade” bread which was obviously cheap supermarket bread. Mezza were so bad we even laughed about it at the table and rushed out. Just go for a drink enjoy the location but don’t spend your money on food.

The location, next to Sloterplas is amazing. They could make the terras much nicer, with better quality windbreakers for example. I had open buffet breakfast, it was mehh. Maybe it is good for the Netherlands standards, but definitely not comparable what you would get in Turkey.

We also want to especially commend the service: all the staff were incredibly friendly, attentive, and courteous. We felt very comfortable and welcome from the very beginning. Friendly, good and friendly service, good food

We had a baby shower brunch here for a group of 10 and had a really great experience. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. When we arrived, we asked if we could organize the surprise in the outdoor area, and they were very accommodating. They even provided us with some things we needed for the decorations, which we really appreciated. Afterwards, they arranged a separate table for our group in the lounge area, which made the celebration feel more private and comfortable. We chose the all-you-can-eat breakfast, and everyone in our group was very happy with it. The food was fresh and tasty, with a good variety of options. Another thing we really liked was the atmosphere. Unlike many Turkish breakfast restaurants that can get extremely crowded and noisy, it was calm, spacious and very pleasant. Overall, a lovely experience with great food and exceptionally helpful staff. Definitely a great place for a relaxed breakfast or a small celebration with friends and family.

Especially if you want to stay a bit longer, I find the atmosphere here truly ideal. But of course, the most important thing: the food. Especially if you love Turkish and Mediterranean cuisine, there is an incredible amount of choice. From appetizers and mezze to grilled dishes, meat, fish, and various other dishes. What I also find very important in a restaurant I frequent is the service. You can tell when a place truly values ​​its guests. At Mewsim, I always feel welcome, and that is a major reason for me to keep coming back. The staff is friendly, and the atmosphere among them feels pleasant and hospitable. And then the shisha… honestly: for me, one of the best shishas you can get in Amsterdam. 😍 I have tried quite a few places in Amsterdam, but the shisha at Mewsim really remains my top choice. The flavor is good, the smoke is nice, and above all, the combination of a good shisha with food and the atmosphere of the restaurant makes it so enjoyable for me. It is not the kind of place where you just come for a shisha and then leave; you can really make a whole evening of it. What I personally also really appreciate is the location. Mewsim is situated by the water, giving you a completely different feeling compared to being right in the middle of the hustle and bustle of the city. That is precisely what makes it such a lovely place to meet up with friends or family. And everything is Halal. I also like that Mewsim doesn't just revolve around a single type of dish. You can enjoy an extensive dinner here, share various dishes, and then stay seated for coffee, tea, dessert, or shisha. For me, that makes it a truly complete night out. I have now reached the point where, when someone asks me where they can eat well in Amsterdam and then have a good shisha, Mewsim is one of the first places I mention. In short: if you love good food, a cozy and relaxed atmosphere, friendly service, and a good shisha, I would absolutely recommend Mewsim. For me, it has truly become a regular spot. I come here regularly, and I always leave with a good feeling. And if I may say one thing about the shisha: try it yourself, and you will understand why I say that, for me, this is one of the best shishas in Amsterdam. ❤️ For me, Mewsim is not just a restaurant where I eat occasionally, but truly a place I love coming back to. I came here unplanned with my brother for a drink and was extremely surprised. It is a beautiful, spacious restaurant with an inviting terrace by the water. There was a breakfast buffet available, beautifully presented, and it looked delicious. The staff were very sweet, helpful, and hospitable. I was allowed to sample some of the food and felt very welcome. Thank you for the delicious meal and the pleasant atmosphere. Definitely worth a visit, and I will certainly come back again for the full experience!

Very bad restaurant. There are many mice running around and the hygiene is really far below par. While eating, I found a fly in my dish. I asked the staff to replace the dish, but instead they just removed the fly from my plate and brought back the same plate. As if I wouldn't notice that it was the same dish. This is absolutely not hygienic and unacceptable to me. I will never come back here and certainly do not recommend this restaurant.

This is no excuse; one excuse is even worse than the other. I own a restaurant in Utrecht myself, and children visit regularly. They play and sometimes run around, but they are children, and we do not make a problem of that. We treat them with understanding and respect. What I find particularly unacceptable is the way the owner's son behaved towards these young girls. He was incredibly rude and disrespectful to them. Several people tried to talk to him and asked him to provide the owner's phone number so that we could discuss the problem directly with the owner. However, he refused to do so and continued to behave in a very rude and disrespectful manner. Even the employees working there tried to talk to him, but he apparently did not want to listen. And then the owner starts making up all sorts of stories and telling things that do not correspond with what actually happened. There were multiple witnesses, both inside and outside the restaurant, who saw and heard what happened. To me, this is absolutely no way to treat customers. Age, origin, or any other background should not be a reason to treat someone so disrespectfully. And furthermore: these people had been regular customers of the restaurant for three years. They came there regularly for years, sometimes even every day. And now they are being treated this way because of a child of only two years old who became ill and vomited. If you have been a regular customer for years, you should be able to expect at least understanding and respect. Instead, these young girls were treated in a very disrespectful manner, and the story was twisted in our opinion in hindsight. The girls have recommended this establishment to their friends and to many other people in the Netherlands for years, telling them that they could come here without hesitation. Unfortunately, it now turns out that this is how regular customers are treated, simply because a two-year-old child was playing for a moment. After being regular customers for three years, it is particularly disappointing that they are being treated in this way.

Very bad experience with this restaurant. We were regular customers and came here frequently. My girlfriend was with her child, who is only two years old. Because he is a two-year-old toddler, he once dropped some rice on the floor and started crying. Instead of being understanding about this, we were kicked out of the restaurant and told that we were no longer welcome. The last time, we just walked in, but the owner immediately said that he would not take our order. We weren't even allowed to sit down and were immediately asked to leave. We understand that a restaurant is allowed to have rules, but the way we were treated was very unfriendly and disrespectful. This involves a two-year-old child. If a restaurant does not want to serve small children, that can be indicated in a clear and respectful manner. We are very disappointed and will certainly not be coming back here. You are a liar and you are making things up. Aren't you ashamed to still be lying at your age? The child did not choke at all. It just caught a cold and threw up. It is a small child, and the children weren't even playing. You are lying, and that is truly shameful. Moreover, we have two witnesses who work for you and have experienced this themselves, and there are several other people who can confirm it. Please don't make up stories and make things up. Shame on you.

Our experience with this restaurant was truly terrible. And we were regular customers. My friend and I went with their two-year-old child. Previously, some food had spilled on the floor due to the child's age, and the child cried. While it's normal for a two-year-old to behave like that, instead of showing understanding, they kicked us out and told us not to come back. On our last visit, we entered the restaurant normally. However, the owner immediately refused to take our order and told us to leave. They didn't even offer us a seat. We find this behavior absolutely disrespectful and unacceptable. Especially considering the young age of two, we expected a little more understanding. We also felt that there was discrimination against us, particularly against Arabs and Muslims. Therefore, we didn't feel welcome at all. We will absolutely never go to this restaurant again. We want others to know about this bad experience we had.

DISAPPOINTED!! Not worthy of the pleasant setting. We received a very poor welcome from the owner, and the service was pleasant but disorganized. We were charged for several drinks and meals we never ordered.

The service was good, provided by two very pleasant young women. Unfortunately, this didn't compensate for the slow service and disorganization. We were a large family, and no one dined at the same time. When we spoke to the manager, he was unpleasant despite the high bill we left. First and last time!

So many varieties and delicious!! The menemen in particular was very successful. And unlimited self-service tea. We parked in the parking garage across the street, which was also easy to do. We enjoyed it immensely.

We wanted to have lunch here at 1:30 PM, but they had a breakfast/lunch buffet for 22 euros until 2:00 PM. From 2:00 PM onwards, you could order from the à la carte menu. However, the menu was more geared towards dinner. We were served in a friendly manner and had a cup of coffee on the terrace by the water.
