Absolutely horrible, the food is mehh acceptable if you’re starving. But the service here is awful, the staff were super rude for no reason and didn’t even stop staring at us for the whole time we ate.

They were aggressive when speaking to me, and I paid for something and they gave me something different, saying they couldn't anymore because they were closing late.

If you’re getting pizza by the slice it’s worth it, quick and easy. But if you’re getting a whole pizza it’s so so slow and you get a smaller pizza that expected !

If you’ve come to the Red Street area, you’re hungry, and you want to eat something quickly and leave, this is one of the best places you can go. It doesn’t taste like authentic Italian pizza, but it’s still a good pizza, and I would definitely go there again to eat. We were 3 friends, and all of us liked it.

Didn't even get to try... Waited to buy a few slices and pay by card, staff wouldn't accept card and said cash only, machine appeared to be working, not excuse and apologies offered, so do t waste your time here, probably trying to avoid taxes by taking cash only.

The pizzas are nice and airy, and every bite has generously filled toppings.

We had a terrible dinner. The pizzas were incredibly spicy and quite expensive: two family-size pizzas with two beers and three bottles of water cost €100. We had to clean the tables ourselves. The worst place we've eaten in Amsterdam.

I would not recommend this place at all. I paid almost €4 for a lukewarm slice of stale pizza; cardboard has more flavour. It was also incredibly dry. The service was the worst part, the man working there was incredibly rude, dismissive and grumpy. He got my order wrong and I had to ask him several times to correct it (it isn't hard to read a receipt) he also started having a loud, aggressive argument with some guy, who promptly left the store. There is no atmosphere at all; it is a very soulless store; which is further accentuated by the hostility of the man at the counter. Overall, I wouldn't recommend this place unless you want to wait 15 minutes for a stiff, dry slice of pizza, served by a very rude man.

I’m really disappointed with the service here. They have a deal for 2 slices and a drink for €11, yet I ended up paying €13 because I ordered the items separately and they refused to honor the promotion or refund the difference. It felt dishonest and like a tourist trap. I won't be coming back

New York Pizza is a good option for those who want a quick bite to eat and just want to fill their stomachs, but don't set your expectations too high. The pizza was average in taste; I didn't find anything particularly special. The ingredients were decent, but it might not be satisfying for those looking for a high-quality, Italian-style pizza. Its central location makes it a convenient option, but it wasn't an experience I would particularly say I "really enjoyed." You can eat it if you're hungry, that's all.

A good slice of pizza, perhaps a bit pricey, but with a real cheesy flavor. Not particularly greasy, or at least not dripping with oil. The slice is substantial, generously portioned, and above all: the crust is good. I've always said it, but a good pizza is judged by its crust. On that front, no complaints. Okay. Let's talk about the sticking point. 5 euros a slice. Ouch. Do you have to be a banker in a hurry to afford the luxury of eating in a 2-slice or what? At that price, expectations automatically rise. Because a whole pizza, in the end, can cost you a fortune, even the GDP of a country. This is clearly the most annoying point, and the most damaging to the chain. And then, let's be honest: the atmosphere wasn't great. The place lacks a bit of charm. To be honest, it's just like the service: a slice of pizza served on a plastic plate is filling, but it's not exactly inspiring. So, it definitely has a New York pizza vibe.

I tried a slice of Margherita pizza and it was acceptable.

I walked in and asked the man if the pepperoni was halal. He said yes. I said are you sure he said no. Then he told me to get out. Im just a small american woman by myself not sure if he hates women or Americans. Not a nice person.

The staff makes you feel very unwelcome and comes off as rude. The atmosphere is kinda ok, although you'll find mich better alternatives across Amsterdam. Update: Went to another outlet and it was quite good, much better than this one for sure

SCAM - the man that works there charges every pizza for the highest price, even though I’ve ordered a slice of margherita (the cheapest one). When I asked for the receipt - you can see in the photo that it doesn’t say margherita on it - he gave me an excuse about the software only allowing to choose that pizza shoarma (the most expensive). They don’t have a price tag on purpose in the cheaper pizzas - AVOID THIS SCAMMER PEOPLE - i will be complaining to the headquarters of NY Pizza too !!!

I used to go there from long time. From last seven trips i went to eat 30 cm. pizza. Always got excuse 1. Its busy we can’t t make. 2. 30 cm base is finished. 3. We only sell slices. 4. No explanation. 5. Finished. 6. We are closing. Only can take what we have. 7. Only 45 cm. Is available. I think you should remove 30 cm. from menu. We will appreciate you . Yesterday blond hair man was trying to explain why we cant make 30 cm. Black hair man with airpods in ear said to him don’t need to explain him. It was my last visit. Good bye. OK for a small snack, but you shouldn't expect too much. Unfortunately it doesn't come close to New York pizzas.

Saw a lot of hype about this particular pizza brand online before I came to Amsterdam. It certainly doesn’t live up to the hype. Member of staff very unwelcoming, the pizza didn’t look too welcoming either (didn’t look particularly fresh). And when we went to order, we were told the prices on the advertisement boards were incorrect and he added on an extra €5 - which we didn’t pay and chose something else. Pizza was mediocre, although good size slices. Probably could’ve got better elsewhere. Main positive being that you could choose two different flavours of pizza in the “meal deal”

A real hunger suppressant, two servings and a soft drink for 10 bucks, it's not bad at all.

Be aware !Went today 7th August 2025 2258pm!! Gave the guy with light brown hair and glasses €50 and the 2 pizzas were for €9. This guy gave me back €31 and he knew exactly what he is doing!! Please check yout ccvt. God knows how many people he is scamming !! Avoid this place specially if you are a bit gone

A chill spot when you're walking home from bananen bar at 2am and want to try a sweet chilli pizza, something we don't have in Australia. Recommend!

I wouldn’t recommend visiting this pizzeria in Amsterdam. Their treatment was very poor and unpleasant, and they make you feel unwelcome. Also the pizza was meh. I tried three slices: pesos, sweet chili chicken, and chicken shawarma. The peso was ok, but the others are below average. The best thing about this place is the location.

I take pizza seriously. I grew up on Mario's next to the barber on the end of king street where it dead ended into the tracks, King street kept going before the train came through in the industrial age... it probably turned into seven bridges road back in the day. they laid those tracks during the Civil War to reach the Borden plant in the upper Hudson Valley so the union soldiers could have canned milk in their provisions... Mr Pasteur had just finished changing the world right then. Anyhow, Mario's is the standard This place is good, honestly, but I guess they don't know that the pep grease is supposed to drip off the slice so you can soak it up with the last bit of crust, and the cheese didn't do that thing where it makes a bridge and gets stuck to your chin, but you eat it anyway cuz. So it's good, but don't get on a plane just so you can have a slice of this. Maybe Doner is a better choice in this town.

It says they have vegan options online but they don't...so of you are with someone who only eats vegan don't go here.

Pizza was dry tonight. When handing me my plate after heating the slice in the oven, he dropped it. He heated me another slice and he scooped the topping back onto the slice he dropped and put it back in the window to sell.

We dined here for lunch on 1 November. Sorry it's taken so long to write my review! We found this wandering around the area. The pizza looked decent, and there was a lunch special: 2 slices plus drink 9,99€. The one employee was rude and didn't seem to enjoy his job. He seemed to prefer smoking outside when there was no one waiting to order? The cheese slice was very good, but the Ham & Bacon slice had too many onions & peppers. I would not eat here again. The bathroom was free despite the euro coin drop to enter; however, the door sticks, and the guy working there was even ruder when asked about sticking door and provided no assistance. He also wasn't happy that I took pictures! I wouldn't visit again and can't recommend as long as this guy was working!

Fast pizza joint in Central Amsterdam. Convenient, 2 slices and a can of Coke €9.99. Pizza slices were luke warm and the Coke was not cold enough.

I believe this is a franchise. The operators there were very friendly and treated everyone with respects despite they looked tough like bouncers type. Pizza was well made. I ordered BBQ meat lover family size for €29.95. My kid loves it. Soft thin dough but could have been nicer if more cheese added and not using sweet sauce. Otherwise, nice pizza.

Da italiano conosco la pizza italiana, ma anche quella americana, che è tipica (soprattutto la "pepperoni"). Questa in effetti è la pizza che ho mangiato a Los Angeles e New York, e per essere di questo tipo, diversa dalla italiana, l'ho trovata davvero buona, ben fatta, cotta da poco, e a prezzi ragionevoli per essere all'estero. Inoltre il personale era davvero cordiale e simpatico.

Not great. Not the worst pizza ever, but not a great standard. Roughly €4 a slice though so a fairy cheap bite. Probably not too bad if you've already had a few beers. Having said that though, I doubt I'll be revisiting.
