A disorganized mess here. I ordered a pizza and a drink. They didn't have any drinks in stock, but I had already placed the order. Apparently, they didn't have a cash register and couldn't give me my money back. They promised to refund it. This was August 23rd. Still haven't received anything. They have a number of teenagers working there who don't know how to deal with customers. They mostly just enjoy each other's company.

Very bad experience and an absolute no-go. This New York Pizza branch is located in the Foodspot, where you can place your order and eat inside immediately. However, what I saw there with my own eyes is downright unacceptable. The staff were messing around like a bunch of kids. Food and dough were being thrown at each other, and other people's food was handled in an extremely irresponsible and unhygienic manner. This is absolutely unacceptable for a large organization like New York Pizza. After witnessing this behavior, I canceled my own order right there on the spot. Unfortunately, this is not a one-off incident. The last four times I ordered a pizza for home delivery, the quality was so poor that I had to return it. What I witnessed on-site was the absolute last straw for me. It is a very amateurish operation at this branch, and it is high time that headquarters takes strong measures against the staff working here. If hygiene is important to you, I strongly advise against buying another pizza here.

I've been waiting 1.5 hours for 2 simple pizzas. It's Wednesday, not Friday or Saturday night. I might as well have baked them myself. I won't be ordering from here again.

Pizzas arrived in 40 minutes (less time than estimated), hot, and as a complete order. Totally normal pizza experience unlike many of these reviews. Did I get lucky or do people only review their bad experiences?

Placed an order with a sauce, but never received the sauce. Also, the pizza itself was cut into 3 pieces in a ridiculous way.

It would be nice if someone answered? 15 minutes on the line while I'm waiting in position number 1... I hung up and called again, still at 1. This is bizarre.... Something went wrong with the order, so it would be nice if someone got in touch!

We had ordered food and were really looking forward to it. After an hour, our order was marked as completed, but it had not yet been delivered. We contacted the branch and were told that the delivery person would be there any moment. After half an hour, still nothing; we called again, and then there was a discussion about whether our order had actually been delivered... obviously not, otherwise we wouldn't be calling. We had to wait 15 minutes and call again if necessary. Subsequently, they called us to say that the delivery person had taken the wrong order and ours was in the restaurant. It is remarkable that something can be marked as completed... another half hour later, our pizzas finally arrived; unfortunately, they were no longer nice and warm, but lukewarm.

Do not order!! I ordered pizza at 6.30 pm and it never came. When I called the first time I was told it was leaving the store. 40 minutes later I called I was told it was in the oven. Then again half an hour later I was told it’s on its way. At 9pm I called and asked for manager who spoke perfectly in English and when I was upset after not receiving my order 2 and a half hours later he switch to Dutch and refused to speak English. He told me in Dutch that it was his choice. He thought I did not understand Dutch, which I do, perfectly well. I asked for his name and he refused to give it to me. Pizza arrived at 9.35pm 3 hours and 5 minutes after order. It was cold, obviously.

Was a bit shocked by the reviews (after I had already ordered), but had a fine experience picking up myself. Good deal, food tastes fine, just a good / average fast food experience for us!

Save yourself the trouble, don't eat here and don't order anything either; your food here is prepared with anything but love. A disgrace to the name of NYP.

I don't usually post negative reviews, but this is truly incredibly bad.. After waiting for 2 hours, my order still hasn't arrived. I've called the company multiple times, but they keep saying that it's on its way and will arrive soon. I definitely do not recommend placing an order here. This is the last time I will ever order from here.

Unbelievable, you're sitting in the Foodspot with all those seating areas and you don't even get cutlery and napkins to eat the pizzas and chicken pieces—which, by the way, were served in takeout boxes by a delivery person wearing a helmet. I think an audit from headquarters needs to take place at this location. The pizza was cut very poorly, so it tore when we tried to grab a slice. You don't get a receipt when you pay, just a number. So be prepared for a very long wait, because online orders take priority. And seriously: what are those stacks of crates doing in front of the counter? It doesn't look inviting. The quality of the pizza isn't really good, by the way. The salami on the sweet base of a pepperoni pizza is very greasy. The quattro is okay, but also greasy. The 3 BBQ chicken pieces were burnt. According to our child, they put 3 pieces of chicken on a leaf, threw BBQ sauce over it, and let it burn in the oven. Total damage 42 euros. Just say it's a pickup point then, because that isn't mentioned here.

Ordered 2 pizzas, delivered late, cold. 1 pizza had too much sauce which, due to the long delivery time, had soaked into the pizza, resulting in a soggy mess. This was the last time NYP for me.

I went to pick up a pizza. I waited 30 minutes. I got such a big box for such a small pizza... which was completely ice cold, even though I live 5 minutes away!! Now I read all the reviews; I'd be better off just going to KFC.

Ordered a pizza for delivery. After 1 hour, it still hadn't been delivered. Unreachable by phone. Went by late in the evening but was told they were closed, even though the website stated they were still open. It turned out there were some problems. The amount paid was supposed to be refunded within five working days. That hasn't happened. Bad company, doesn't stick to agreements. Advice: do not order a pizza for delivery.

DO NOT ORDER FOOD HERE. They pretend the delivery person is on their way, then your order shows as delivered, and then suddenly the delivery person has fallen. Save yourself the hassle and money and order somewhere else.

Truly a disappointing NYP. Pizza arrives lukewarm most of the time, takes a long time too, and I've gotten a call that what I've ordered isn't available multiple times now... Never had these problems with the NYP on the Bernadottelaan when we still lived in Kanaleneiland 🤷🏻‍♀️

Unfortunately, I have to agree with all the other reviews. The delivery time indication is a joke. Even if you order ASAP, it takes more than 2.5 hours for your order to arrive. Calling doesn't work; you are put on hold the whole time, and the indication they give you over the phone is incorrect as well. Shame. Don't order here!!

My bestselling Kwan was more than 1.5 hours late and they didn't have the drink I ordered anymore either. This isn't the first time this has happened, either.

If a product is out of stock, please report it on the website. It's very annoying to be called repeatedly because a product is no longer available, as you've already paid. This happens too often.

I regularly order from NYP Proostwetering. For the first time, the pizza was cold and not tasty. It looked like the salt had been spilled. Such a shame.

I was given excuses like: the pizza is on its way, it's busy, we don't deliver there, or that they didn't have any delivery drivers. This is really pathetic. The place should be managed professionally. I just went there this time to order as take away (19.12.25). The kitchen was massy, 6-7 people (off business outfit) were hanging in there and some other unprofessional attitude. I’ve chnaged my mind and ordered something else. The worst NYP ever. I bought two pizzas, and they were cold. I was waiting for my order when it came out of the oven. It sat there for over a minute before the employee put it in the box. Instead of finishing my order, he picked up his phone and started using it. The pizza was cold and hard, and my order was incomplete. Not everything I ordered had been added.

As a critic, I always get great pizza at New York Pizza. Delivery on a busy Saturday night is also really fast. Delicious!

Accepting an volume of orders that leads to a two-hour wait, cold food, and mistakes in preparation is not merely busy—it is a failure of service and logistics.

Delivered the wrong pizza, they called the delivery guy to come back to me and he didn't have my pizza. He offered to go get it at the other person's house of all things! He also opened the boxes outside in the cold to check what they were. Received a new pizza finally after 2 hours.

Ordered two pizzas at 6:45 PM, with a delivery time of 8:05 PM. I called at 8:45 PM because the pizzas still hadn't arrived. I was then told the delivery driver had just left and it would take about half an hour. Then the delivery driver arrived at 9:40 PM with cold pizzas and the wrong ones. What a crappy place. If you let yourself be persuaded to give NYP Leidsche Rijn another chance after previous issues, I've fallen for it again. You order a few pizzas on Sunday at 5:30 PM; delivery asap. Then, after paying, you're given a delivery time of somewhere between 7:51 PM and 8:06 PM. When you check the online order system, it shows 7:58 PM as "ready for dispatch." Then, you call at 8:40 PM when you see the status hasn't changed. Finally, you get a representative on the line who casually tells you, "Oh, it's just finished and will be here as soon as possible." When you confront the representative with the fact that you've been on "ready for dispatch" status for 45 minutes, they suddenly have a "status system malfunction." "It'll be here soon, it's a bit busy..."! When I told the employee I expected a hot pizza, the answer was simply, "If it's cold, just call back." Well, then I knew I shouldn't expect hot pizzas. They were delivered again at 8:56 PM, and you guessed it, they were freezing cold.

I ordered pizzas for my kids at 6:30 PM, with delivery "ASAP." I called at 8:00 PM to check the status. The pizzas were in the oven. Pizza delivered at 8:40 PM. Cold cardboard frisbees that had actually been out of the oven for 45 minutes. Really gross. Really, really, really gross.

Would have given 0 stars. We ordered the korean soy garlic chicken and the hot honey chicken. It felt like the chicken was sitting out for days, and there was barely any sauce. Even dutch food is seasoned better than these chicken pieces. The girl who was working there had dragon nails and I am not a health inspector but I am pretty sure that there is a whole bacteria colony beneath those nails and she should have worn gloves before handling adding cheeses on pizzas. Moreover I have two pictures of the order screen and lamps sitting just above the tub of sauce and it was loaded with dust and grime. If you like your pizza with a side of some soil, and nail gunk, feel free to order your food here.

The garlic oil and parsley are structurally forgotten on the pizzas that I always order and where it should be. This has happened 15 times in a row now. Very bad. Other products that I ordered extra have also been forgotten.

Scammers! I'm getting a small amount back from them. I ordered 2 drinks there on the spot (at one of those ordering columns). They didn't sell them anymore. Money would be refunded and I would receive a confirmation email. Getting cash back was NOT possible. Here it comes! Never had of course. It's been 2 weeks now. So watch out what you're going to order or you'll lose your money!

Ordered the 40cm shoarma, worst pizza I've ever eaten at nyp. Normally I'm always super satisfied and a fan at other branches but this pizza was really hopeless. I asked for extra tomato sauce, there wasn't any. Base tough and hard and little shoarma compared to nyp gorinchem.

Absolutely hopeless company when it comes to delivery.

DO NOT order here (and certainly do not cancel). Ordered regularly for a while without any problems, but in recent months it has been a disaster... Delivery took twice as long (more than an hour). 3rd time, after ordering, there was again a ridiculous delivery time (two hours?!) so we canceled the order (why not report estimated delivery time before confirming order..?). Can't get the money back. Apparently they do refunds manually, after canceling they said 'it may take 10 days'. After 2 weeks of calling, they say again 'we will arrange it, it may take 10 days'. For a few euros it wouldn't matter to me, but 2 pizzas is about 35 euros.

People don't order here, they are scammers! Placed an online order worth €37.97 on March 13 at 3:00 PM and paid via iDeal. Because I was later told that my sister-in-law would make pizza for us, I called this business at 4:00 PM and canceled the order. Normally you will receive the paid amount back into your account, but after almost a month I still have not received anything back. Ordered pizza here through just eat app "thuisbezorgd". When they came on the door after very long time the guy told me I haven't paid for the pizza. I showed him the order confirmation on my phone on the app. But refused to give me the pizza. You can imagine I wasn't happy at all.

I used to always order New York pizza, especially the Margarita for my son. At one point there was hardly any cheese on it. I mainly tasted the red sauce. After receiving the Margarita disappointment several times, I switched to the competitor who did provide value for money!

What a bad place, ordered pizzas because we were in a hurry, fifteen minutes after the promised delivery time they indicate on the phone that it is almost going out (not that they contact us themselves to say it will take longer). The lady at the counter is happily stretching out pizza dough with the sleeves of her sweater in the flour. So not very hygienic. Ordered a NY Vega but got something with salami. Fortunately they immediately started again on the NY vega, had to wait a while and then it came. Unfortunately they cut the pizza with the wrong pizza roller. They have one with a green handle for vegetarian and vegan, but apparently it's too much trouble. Pizza was ok, but service and speed were severely below par, not to mention hygiene.

All 6 pizzas have very thick edges without sauce, and the garlic oil on the edges was also forgotten, so it was very dry and the edible part was therefore minimal.
