New York Pizza in Zwanenburg

⭐ 1 star (if you could give 0, I would) On Saturday, October 4th, we ordered 2 pizzas from New York Pizza Dennelaan Zwanenburg. What a disaster. The pizzas we received were burnt, hard, and inedible. My children immediately complained about the taste and hardness, and rightly so; they were truly inedible. I politely called the location to explain the complaint. I asked who I was speaking to and was told it was the manager. Perfect, I thought: then I can address my problem directly to the right person. But what a disappointment. I clearly explained that the pizzas were not good and asked for a solution. First, the manager said he could send new pizzas, which I thought was a good solution. I told them the correct address was in Zwanenburg, because I had entered the wrong one. Meanwhile, my children were waiting hungrily. They had already tried a small piece (because, yes, children get hungry), but that's when the real problem started. The manager started shouting that I wouldn't be getting new pizzas once I'd taken a bite. I remained polite and asked him how on earth these burnt pizzas could be approved for delivery. He had no answer. Ultimately, he simply refused and hung up the phone, without greeting or apology. Unheard of! I immediately (within two minutes) drove to the store to return the pizzas. When I got there, I didn't see anyone approaching, so I demanded in a loud voice, "Where's the manager? I'm here to return the pizzas." After a while, he finally showed up. I showed them the pizzas and explained that I don't call to complain for fun. We order from here often, with several families, and normally expect proper service. The manager called the first burnt pizza "perfect." I turned it over, squeezed it, and showed him that this was absolutely unacceptable. The second pizza was pitch black; none of us dared to take a bite. Only after a lot of fuss did I finally get my money back. But what I didn't get was an apology. Not a single word of understanding, not a single shred of customer service. The attitude of this so-called manager was arrogant, disrespectful, and absolutely below par. Mistakes happen, and I understand that. But a simple apology and new pizzas would have been the solution. Instead, I got a backhanded attitude and zero service. Because of this behavior, I will never order from this restaurant again, and I warn everyone: avoid this location! You pay a lot of money and in return get burnt pizzas and a manager who humiliates you as a customer. I want to file an official complaint against this manager. This behavior is unacceptable. As a customer, I feel ignored, belittled, and not taken seriously. We have been regular customers, but this was the last straw. New York Pizza: make sure this is taken seriously and the customer is compensated.

Absolutely the worst experience I’ve ever had at a pizza place. I ordered a large Doner pizza and waited for 40 minutes, only to find out the cashier never even told the kitchen about my order. Instead of apologizing and making it right, they handed me a tiny pizza with almost nothing on it. This is pure incompetence. If you value your time, money, and patience, avoid this place at all costs.

This is the best pizza I've had in a long time. I'm usually not a fan of New York pizza, I'm more of a Domino's fan, but I'd drive out of my way for this New York pizza because it was so good. Plenty of toppings. Quickly made. Friendly staff. Easily accessible.

Terrible costumer service. Makes us wait for hours then gives attitude. Still don’t know if we ever get our order

I asked for a big snack, guess what, I got a small cold snack. Half of it was missing. I will never order from here again and I recommend it to everyone!

I walked in at 10:01 PM, asking if I could buy a drink (knowing they close at 10:00 PM, but wondering if they'd even be understanding about a can of soda). Upon entering, I wasn't even greeted, and my question about buying a drink was met with a loud, "WE ARE CLOSED." Surprising, because I could have gotten a normal "No." The employee's attitude clearly indicated he was open to some kind of alternative, so I decided to leave and NEVER return. I've been eating and ordering NYP for almost 10 years now, both in the Netherlands and Germany. I've had no problems with the atmosphere or the food (although sometimes mistakes can be made with the toppings) until this location broke the record. The atmosphere is a big no❌ Service is a BIG no❌❌

Food got delivered after longer than an hour and it was cold and dry

Waited over an hour for a cold pizza. Called the branch and then got into a discussion with a smart employee. Never order here again. Yuck

Very good pizza, good prices, fast preparation

The pizza is edible... if you're really hungry. The place is tiny and slightly cramped and the restaurant works for delivery, so there are no tables, except for a small one with 2 chairs and not even napkins to eat pizza on the spot. One note... an exaggerated amount of garlic!

They cancel ‘too good to go’ too late, after I arrive or even forget to cancel. And it happened twice

I'm writing this review months after being visiting Holland last summer in August. I had a Margherita pizza, wich clearly wasn't made with a "italian style" (some people consider the true pizza only if made thin almost like a paper sheet... Whic personally I don't like at all, and fortunately that one is not the only kind of italian pizza). The pizza I had was a bit oily but it was pretty good! When the girl and the staff figured out I'm italian, they made their best to make me the best pizza they could. Also the staff was very friendly, kind and the service was fast and punctual. That pizza really made me and gf happy, Nothing to blame, only congrats. Love from Italy!

It was very busy, so we waited a long time, but I received an ice cream gift as compensation. Nicely resolved....

order said it would take about 40-50 mins, delivery person showed up within maybe 10 minutes with a fresh, hot pizza. 10/10 service and food

Had the Italian sausage and pepperoni pizza, was up there with some of the best pizza I’ve ever had. Good job guys 👍🏻

The food is worthless. The only thing I found decent was the ordering method, since it is done through the mobile phone with QR. Of course, they don't provide Wi-Fi.

Exactly the pizza’s you expect from New York Pizza.

We werden geholpen door een aardige jonge vrouw die onze pizza's zelf ging bereiden. Deze waren zo klaar. Prima!

Lekkere pizza's en leuke medewerkers!

Doen niet vaak mee aan acties maar de pizza's zijn wel erg lekker.

Delicious! The toppings on the pizza are place generously. The sides are awesome and the menu offers a wide range of items; I absolutely love the crust on the pizza. Staff are friendly and helpful. Was pleasantly surprised at how nice this pizza restaurant was, given that this chain is classified as ‘fast-food’. Will order again!

Super lekker. En aardig personeel. Menu kaart ietwat onduidelijk want wat is nu een basispizza. Maar ik werd goed geholpen en we hebben onze vingers erbij opgegeten.

Vegan Californian Veggie pizza is afschuwelijk bij deze New York Pizza, geen aanrader! Heb ook 2 keer spinazie+ besteld, kreeg paar kleine klontjes diepvries spinazie en wel extra voor moeten betalen :( 12 euro is het zeker niet waard.
