Food was phenomenal. Cooked to perfection!! A great range of options on the menu. Extensive wine list and drink options. Something for everyone. Service and staff 10/10. Highly recommend!

We ordered bread as an appetizer, ribeye steak, and strip steak; the bread was good, tender, and cooked to our liking. The problem was the wait. It took almost an hour for everything to arrive. And the price, €123.00 for four people. It wasn't worth it.

Holy smokes! What a find! From the time we looked at the menu downstairs to the time we mopped up our dessert plates, this place is a top shelf experience. The steak is cooked to perfection. The service is fun, attentive and timely. And in a great part of town too. Highly recommend. .

Fantastic restaurant in the heart of Amsterdam. The food was made to perfection. The Tomahawk steak was perfectly done. The mushrooms, perfectly seasoned, the cauliflower perfectly coated and fried. Don’t skip the garlic fries either. Just make sure you save some room for the cheesecake!!! Beautiful spot for a date night or for some friends to sit down together. Staff were fantastic, made the night even better. The new owner even came out to check on us. Real care and attention to customers and craft. Something you just have to experience!!!

This is one of the nicest and cosiest restaurants in the city center. The staff take such good care of you and they are very focused on quality of the food. Some really nice options for vegetarians, and great drinks too.

We went here for the Sunday roast and wow, it did not disappoint. The food was fantastic and really good portions. The gravy was also super tasty. Service was excellent and very friendly too. Wow 🤩, what an amazing experience. Great atmosphere and amazing people. We went to the New York Steakhouse for our annual team outing and we were not disappointed. As soon as we got upstairs, we were welcomed by the one and only super friendly Felicity. We immediately felt at home and got a cozy living room vibe. We had already placed our orders ahead of time and made arrangements to get a array of starters, it did not disappoint. From the Bruschetta to the carpaccio, everything was flavourful and beautifully presented. Then came the mouthwatering main courses (I took the Rib-eye ), it was nothing less of amazing. Chef Ricky even came down to have a short Chat and check on us. Thank you Team New York Steakhouse, you guys really gave us a great experience, can’t wait to come back!

Interesting interior design with a New York vibe, with many details that create a great atmosphere. The food at the New York Steak House in Amsterdam is truly delicious! I especially recommend the juicy, well-seasoned, and perfectly cooked steaks and ribs. The service is also very friendly and professional. Definitely worth a visit! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I've lived in Amsterdam my whole life, but I'd never even considered eating at Leidseplein UNTIL a friend told me about New York Steakhouse. I never imagined you could have such a delicious and peaceful meal on the corner of Leidseplein. I won't waste too many words, but order the rib-eye steakhouse and you'll regret it!

No BS, absolutely fabulous place. Staff are wonderful, food is delicious, plenty of drinks to choose from. Met this wonderful Irish lady who treated us like royalty & is great craic, as we say in Ireland. I highly recommend this restaurant.

The restaurant is now called "Le Pub Leidseplein," no longer New York Steakhouse. You have to pay immediately after ordering. I've rarely had such a bad meal. One star is too many. The chicken satay was just fat, and the steak was very fatty and marbled. The complaint yielded nothing, just head shaking and the comment that nothing could be done. After 5 minutes, the plate was returned to the table—not exactly hygienic!!! Never again 👎

We were sitting inside the restaurant (to be clear, we were inside on the open "French window" side and therefore with a view of the outside) and everything was almost going well until a mouse, I repeat a MOUSE, passed by us, the waiter noticed and didn't say anything, we got up screaming in disgust and obviously complained and the response was: "this is Amsterdam!" - PLACE TO AVOID AND CLOSE!!!

Ordered food, which arrived fairly quickly. The waiter (who was the manager) dropped half the fries. Later, there was plastic (!!) in the burger. We got our money back for the burger, but the arrogant manager in his Ajax shirt refused to discuss the fries. The waiter (a different waiter than the one who brought the food) said he was embarrassed and apologized repeatedly. The food wasn't very good, but the waiter was nice. Highly recommended.

The burger consisted of a dry bun with a lettuce leaf, an onion ring, and, not to mention, a small dollop of sauce (it's a miracle anyone even saw it). Absolutely not recommended!!! After we complained, the staff didn't know what to do with our comment. They were surprised that the burger didn't taste good. After some staff advice, the burgers were simply taken away and only the drinks were canceled (it should be noted that the burgers cost €22). So, in the end, we paid €22 for a 0.2l small Coke and some fries. Absolutely outrageous!!

The steakhouse as such no longer exists; according to Kellner, already for 3 years. However, the map and website are still online. My guess is that the good reviews from the past are trying to cover up the bad ones from today. Today's map contains a third of what it used to be. The burger was okay. Served on a hard plastic plate, however, carelessly. There was no napkin and no sauces to go with the fries, which wasn't so bad because ketchup and the like are stored on the floor next to the door. Very hygienic... The tables are not cleaned. The 100 stains on glasses at least suggest that. Not recommended.

The food was delicious. I loved the ribs. My husband didn't like the meat very much. The atmosphere was very good, except that we were outside and the roof heating did not work. But the restaurant surpassed itself beautifully. By the way, they charge before eating.

Great menu, hearty portions! The meat carpaccio is perfect! Potatoes are good in any form, excellent ribs and schnitzel, salads with the freshest herbs!

The place is definitely closed. And they haven't even updated their website through Google. When you call the bartender doesn't care and keep saying they offer some food in the bar not the same as what's served in the restaurant... waste of time

Food arrived cold and immediately sent back, when new lot received it was barely warm again, steak was overdone and I’m pretty sure they just reheated the food. I didn’t send it back as I was starving at that point, It wasn’t busy so I didn’t understand why, waitress provided complimentary drinks but food was poor for a steakhouse

More of a pub than a steakhouse. Medium well wasn't a well-known term, so I got a shoe sole as a steak. Prices for the food are way too high

Unfortunately this restaurant no longer exists but is still shown as open online, but there is now an Irish pub with a kitchen inside. Only the ambience doesn't fit an Irish pub and the Angus steak 200g wasn't one either - it was done. Even though I ordered it medium.

Previously visited steak was amazing , visited yesterday and it was the worst steak we have ever had . After our meal we questioned the waiter if this was the right restaurant to be told the steakhouse had closed even though it’s still states outside and on the website New York steak house, very misleading and false adverstisment ! Also very overpriced for the poor quality food !

Es hat zwar lange gedauert bis wir bedient wurden aber dann war alles gut . Preise wie überall in amsterdam nicht gerade günstig aber im Vergleich nicht überteuert . Die spareribs waren megsl lecker und zart . Die Portion war gut. Die Gemischte Fritierte Platte war geschmacklich gut aber hier war die Portionsgrösse im Verhältnis zum Preis einfach zu klein . Sonst aber ok . Kann man hin .

Duurde erg lang voor er iemand kwam. Menukaart zeer klein, en erg duur. Ik ging even naar de wc...wat vreselijk vies daar...kapotte deuren..afgebrokkelde stenen..vieze muren. Toen ik dat gezien had, hoefde ik daar niet meer te eten. Wat een gore bende.

Schnitzels en friet waren lekker. Gerechten ook redelijk aan de prijs. Sfeer en bediening uitstekend. Gezellig plekje om te zitten op het terras. Hoefden ook niet lang te wachten op het eten en drinken. Jammer dat de sanitaire voorzieningen ronduit slecht zijn.

Ich muss zugeben, gegessen haben wir nichts. Dennoch lädt das Restaurant zum verweilen ein, da man sich im Aussenbereich gemütlich niederlassen kann, sein Bierchen, Kaffee oder Wein schlürft und einfach die Szenerie beobachtet. Die Preise sind typisch Amsterdam like, sprich nicht gerade günstig. Der Service war OK.

Vriendelijk personeel , Alleen een erg onduidelijke kaart. Als je bijvoorbeeld bij de burgers kijkt zou je denken dat het geserveerd word met frietjes en salade en anders word dit duidelijk aangegeven. Zelf nam ik de fish en chips , die was erg lekker. Met vis en friet. Alleen 2 familie leden die mee waren moesten alles los bestellen terwijl het bij de menu's stond?! Verder heerlijk gegeten , maar erg duur... Voor als tip: Zet de prijzen duidelijk op de kaart , wat een menu is en wat niet en de prijzen misschien iets lager..

My mom, stepdad, and I went to this place for lunch after walking around. We did have to get service after a few moments. Fish and Chips were good and beer was cold. Nice atmosphere.
