Stepping into Okidokoku, we were embraced by a warm and inviting atmosphere, making us feel right at home. The staff's genuine hospitality added an extra layer of comfort, making our dining experience truly memorable. Opting for the Ayam Kremes, we were treated to a culinary delight bursting with authentic Indonesian flavors. The tender fried chicken, infused with aromatic Indonesian spices and served with the special Serundeng, surpassed our expectations and earned its place as one of the best Ayam Kremes in the Netherlands. Accompanied by two perfectly fried Tempe Goreng, the dish was a symphony of taste and texture. Meanwhile, our friend indulged in the Sate Ayam, tender chicken skewers complemented by a rich and savory Indonesian peanut sauce. Each bite was a harmony of flavors, showcasing the culinary mastery of the kitchen. We also tried Pangsit Goreng, it was also really delicious, reminiscing the taste of Pangsit Goreng from one of the most famous Indonesian restaurant (Bakmi GM). Furthermote, though one of our companions opted for the Rijstaffel, which was satisfying, it was the Ayam Kremes and Sate Ayam that stole the spotlight. To top off our culinary journey, we couldn't resist taking away a Martabak Manis, an authentic Indonesian dessert/pancake. Filled with cheese, peanut, and chocolate, it transported us back to the streets of Indonesia with its delightful taste and nostalgic flavors. Overall, our experience at Okidokoku was nothing short of exceptional. From the cozy ambiance to the friendly staff and delectable dishes, it's no wonder Okidokoku is renowned for its authentic Indonesian cuisine.

I saw this restaurant on Instagram, where I saw the all-you-can-eat rijsttafel (rice table), which sounded interesting, but what really caught my eye was terang bulan/martabak manis! I'd been searching for that in the Netherlands since 2016. I'd eaten it a few times in Lombok and Bali, and it was exactly the same version at this restaurant. The service was fantastic, and the fact that Indonesian expats were also eating at the restaurant when we were there was a clue, but the food was also incredibly tasty. Fantastic!

Wonderful Indonesian eatery where the wonderful Ayam Kremes was a yumyumyum moment for me. Friendly hardworking owner and staff. And oh the Es Campur, it probably sticks to your hips (that eternal diet battle) but I don't care! Extremely tasty!

Last Friday, my best friend and I tried the all-you-can-eat menu, and we were extremely pleased. The food is truly authentic and delicious, and the prices are fair, too, and the staff are friendly and welcoming. We'd love to come back! :)

As Indonesian myself, I believe I have the pass to compare this restaurant with authentic Indo food. I did not make any reservations, walk-in was possible on Friday night. The drink menu was great with basic cendol, kelapa muda, and es campur! They have varieties of rames and nasi. However, my favorite was Ayam Kremes! They nailed it! The meat falls out of the bone, it was crispy af! Most importantly, the sambal was well paired with chicken. I also tried the ikan bakar, it can be better with more grill done. Cabe bawang was 🔥also the tahoe goreng was out of this world

The food was okay, the lemper wasn't great. I think it depends on the region where this chef is from. We're used to different spices, but the quality was definitely good, and the place was clean and tidy, with friendly staff!

Yesterday I enjoyed the longtong satay ayam. Served with ketimoen and krupuk. It was delicious, and the satay sauce is excellent. I'll definitely be back.

Chaotic, messy and the room felt cold. Price/quality ratio is hard to find. Main meal nothing to write home about. Snacks brought, but spoiled! Thrown away! No wonder it was so quiet. I'll never come here again!

One of the best places to eat Indonesian food in the Netherlands. If you like Indonesian authentic and good quality food, this is te place. Price quality wise also very good. The people working there are kind and easygoing. We visited this place with five people and enjoyed our diner so much.

Got a 'too good to go' box here this week. I was very positively surprised. The risolles and lemper were delicious. Tasted like more! Friendly gentleman also behind the cash register. Will try a rice table soon!

Het had niet echt de uitstraling van een restaurant. De omgeving was ook niet uitnodigend. Het eten smaakte wel prima maar werd volgens mij ter plekke opgewarmd in de magnetron. De porties waren ook niet groot. Er stond één jongen in de zaak, gelukkig was het rustig. Maar hij kwam niet vragen of we nog wat wilden drinken of zo. Hij sprak ook geen Nederlands maar dat is tegenwoordig normaal lijkt het. Voor ons eenmalig.

You know all the signs are pointing to the right direction when you walk into the place to find (1) an Indonesian family of 3 generations speaking Indonesian to the staffers and boss, and (2) a corner that sells Indonesian staples, snacks and condiments. Having lived in Hong Kong, which is so close to Indonesia and having been there a few times, I think its fair to say I've sampled my fair share of Indonesian food. Our server Effy was so friendly and nice and went out of the way to explain the menu that is in Dutch to us, who are visiting foreigners and Netherlandically-challenged, tho it helps I know some of the dishes by its Indonesian names. So naturally, the expectations were high, and it did not disappoint! If you're around and are looking for some quality Indonesian food, Okidokiku is a gem.

Heerlijk gegeten, lekkere rijsttafel. Smullen hoor! En dan nog een attente en aardige bediening ook. Ik zeg: doen!

Aardige lokatie - ziet er netjes en opgeruimd uit. De rijsttafel voor 4 personen was netjes verzorgd. De saté had wel iets warmer opgediend mogen worden. Alle 6 de gerechten waren werkelijk fantastisch van smaak. Vriendelijke bediening. Schone en nette toiletten. Wij hadden geen probleem om de auto dichtbij te kunnen parkeren. Beslist voor herhaling vatbaar !

Gezellig eethuisje met supervriendelijke bediening. Wij hadden een erg lekkere vegetarische rijsttafel. Voor herhaling vatbaar!

Afgelopen zaterdag wezen eten met 4 personen. Het restaurant ziet er netjes en trendy uit. Voor zo'n locatie valt het op dat ze best wel veel zitplaatsen hebben. De bediening is top en de mensen zijn aardig. Wat we besteld hadden: - ketoprak - gado gado met 2x portie sate kambing - bami met sambal goreng boontjes en sajoer lodeh met lemper - nog een gerecht voor mij moeder maar ik weet niet meer wat dat was Als drinken hebben mijn vrouw en ik rode gember thee genomen. Die was zo superzoet en eigenlijk niet lekker. Ik drink nooit thee met suiker. Jammer dat ze geen gewone gember thee hebben (kokend water en schijfjes gewone gember en eventueel muntblaadjes en citroen erbij en je hebt een lekkere en veel gezondere thee!). We hebben heerlijk gegeten en na afloop kreeg mijn zoon een Beng Beng chocoreep. Enak! We gaan beslist nog een keer daar eten (zonder rode gemberthee te bestellen, haha).

Voor het eerst hier gegeten via groupon. Als je Dulang gewend bent viel dit niet mee. De smaak was wel hier en daar wel redelijk, maar het eten was totaal niet warm. Ook de ruimte niet, het was er ijzig koud. 2 Blikjes bier voor €7,90 slaat ook nergens op. Jammer.

Rijsttafel besteld voor 4 personen, te weinig rijst gekregen. Extra moeten bijbestellen en in rekening gebracht. Kipsaté vlees was taai en oud. Eten niet in smaak gevallen dus helaas niet voor herhaling vatbaar.

We hebben catering besteld bij Okidokiku. Het eten is erg lekker. De porties zijn ruim. Het contact met Stanley is erg goed verlopen hij denkt goed met je mee. Ook makkelijk om wat voor en nagerechten bij te bestellen. Afspraken zijn goed nagekomen. Het eten was er op tijd. Prijs en kwaliteit zeker in balans. We zijn zeer tevreden en kunnen en Okidokiku zeker aanbevelen.

Heerlijk gegeten en erg vriendelijk personeel. Speciaal gegaan voor de Sayur Asem en Empal Goreng. En het heeft mij meer dan gesmaakt! Kom zeker terug om de rest van de kaart te proeven.

Via social deal een heerlijke Indische rijsttafel met sotosoeo vooraf. Fantastische kruiding van alle gerechten, in het bijzonder de rendang varianten. Hele vriendelijke en attente service. Echt een aanrader.

Food was delicious! We reserved very last minute and were taken by surprise by how good the food was and how nice and welcoming the staff and owner is. We will definitely add this place to our Fav’s and expect to come back often!

We found this place by accident and were surprised by the quality of the food (we ordered roasted Spare ribs and grilled Fish in Indonesian twist). Even more surprised by the friendliness of the owner and the chef. We'll be back for sure. Greetings from Almere 😉

Eenvoudige ambiance, goed eten en een uitstekende bediening.

Such a gem! Service was excellent and the food, OMG, they make it with such passion, it was the absolute best.

Heerlijk gegeten met twee personen met ruim voldoende porties. Het was mooi weer dus wij hebben op het terras in de achtertuin gezeten. Zeer vriendelijk personeel en een prima prijs. Een schone zaak met ook grote schone WC’s.

Erg originele kaart. Aardige eigenaar die graag een praatje maakt met zijn gasten en er echt voor gaat om van zijn restaurant een succes te maken. Kom zeker terug.

Really good Indonesian food, very tasty and diverse.

Ik ben met een paar vriendinnen voor een late lunch geweest. Het was heerlijk weer dus we zaten in het achtertuin terrasje. De tuin ziet er mooi en gezellig uit. Eerst namen we vooraf snack, zoete hapjes, ijs cendol en ijs campur terwijl we gezellig met elkaar praten. De bediening was erg vriendelijk en relax. Als hoofgerecht namen we sate kambing, ayam penyet, iga bakar en pepesan vis. De presentatie van de gerechten waren mooi en aantrekkelijk. Alle bestek & borden waren schoon. Hopelijk blijf de smaak, presentatie en service goed en niet achteruitgaan.

Redelijk goede prijs kwaliteit verhouding niet te zout maar bediening vergeetachtig en als je iets geweldig zoekt als bij Dulang (welke wel veel duurder was) dan is dit het natuurlijk niet.

Heerlijk gegeten in de 'achtertuin'. Vooral de saté was uitstekend!

We hebben een heerlijk rijstschotel gegeten. Soto ajam vooraf, verschillende gerechten als hoofdgerecht zowel met vlees als met groente én met een overheerlijke, geroosterde saté! Als afsluiting een cappuccino met spekkoek. En dat voor een heel schappelijke prijs. Komt daar bij een supervriendelijk bediening. Kortom: Echt een aanrader! Tip: Achter is een kleine patio waar je met mooi weer ook buiten kunt eten.

Lekkere gerechten ..vooral die iga bakar/spareribs.

As Indonesian who just recently moved to The Netherlands, iam picky about Indonesian food. I tried a lot of Indonesian restaurants, and some of them were not up for my taste. And this one, is one of my top list Indonesian restaurant in The Netherlands ( especially around The Hague ). The food was so lekker and beautifully plated, i tried their Iga Bakar, Nasi Padang, and Bebek Bakar and all are perfectly made. Love the energy from the owner as well, make me feel like eating at my uncle's house. The service time also so fast as well. Overall this restaurant is so great, well done Okidokiku ❤️

FANTASTISCH! ------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------ LANGE VERSIE: Om te beginnen: wij hebben ruime ervaring met Indische/Indonesische restaurants in de omgeving Haaglanden. Ook heb ik zelf in Indonesische restaurants gewerkt, en maak ik geregeld zelf Indo koekjes/snacks. Vanuit deze ervaring kan ik met volle overtuiging zeggen: wat een aanwinst voor Den Haag is dit restaurant! + Gastheer (eigenaar?) is SUPER vriendelijk. Maakt ook een praatje met gasten, niet op een vervelende manier zoals elders maar heel erg leuk! Is belangstellend, heeft ook veel kennis en meneer uit Timor (!) vertelt ook vol plezier (en trots) over de gerechten op de kaart. En legt ook uit hoe ze op de (rare) naam van t restaurant zijn gekomen (leuk!). + Restaurant is nieuw (open sinds maart), en erg netjes en is superschoon. Er is ook een tuin waar je kunt zitten. + Service is snel, je kan ook meenemen en bestellen voor thuis. Ga ik zeker nog een keer doen, de koekjes/snacks in de vitrine zagen er absoluut verrukkelijk uit! + Het menu is heel verrassend, veel gerechten die je bij andere restaurants niet tegenkomt, en ook veel specialiteiten. Porties zijn erg goed, prijs-kwaliteit perfect. Presentatie is super. + De smaak: heel erg goed! Fantastisch! *** De Pangsit is vers/superknapperig/goed gevuld. *** De Nasi Rames is super, vooral het vlees is erg lekker: Daging Smoor en Rendang (een andere smaak dan ik gewend ben, maar HEEL LEKKER) *** Ikan Penyet: Vis is superknapperig, maar t vlees is niet droog (zoals elders vaak) maar heel mals. Kruiden lekker, sambal (heet!!) heerlijk! *** Empal Goreng: Erg smakelijk. *** Pisang Goreng: knapperig, goeie banaan, smakelijk en vers *** Cendol: de ALLERBESTE cendol (tjendol) van Den Haag en omstreken. Natuurlijk zijn alle ingredienten vers zoals de heerlijke Nanka. En er wordt ook niet beknibbeld op de Gula Jawa (zoals elders vaak). Echt HEERLIJK! ------------------------------------------------ Er stond vorige week een zuur artikeltje (aanleiding sluiting Raffles) op de Omroep West pagina over de zogenaamde teloorgang van de Indische cultuur/restaurants in Den Haag. Maar dan moeten zij eens naar Okidokiku gaan! Reden voor optimisme! ------------------------------------------------ Op het verlanglijstje voor volgende keer: Indische Kroket, Risolles, Sayur Asem, Lumpia Semarang (met bamboescheuten ipv helemaal vol met tauge ofzo), etc etc. ------------------------------------------------ Ps.
