Old Inn Amsterdam in Almere in Wijk 05 Almere Hout

We spent 5 days in Almere (4 nights at the inn). It was a truly wonderful and comfortable experience. The lady who served us (Wilma, if I recall correctly) was super friendly and eager to help us and chat with us. The only real meal we ate was the breakfast shown in the photos, which we had on two different days because it was delicious and reasonably priced. So, the food rating is based solely on that. I don't know about the rest, but everything seemed to be delicious. The room was super comfortable with everything you need to do the basics (since, as much as we were on vacation, you use the inn to bathe, sleep, and store your things... but the most interesting and enjoyable part always happens outside). So, to summarize briefly: hot water, heating, Wi-Fi, included (uncovered) parking, and a reasonable price. I would definitely go back!

Inedible, a waste of money... The fries were limp and the cheeseburger was undercooked. After complaining, they immediately hung up on me. I understand they hardly ever have any customers.

The worst snack bar I've ever been to. I ordered Flemish fries, but they were mixed with regular fries, and there were rock-hard, overcooked fries in between. I ordered without salt and got salted. I ordered with ketchup and got curry. Also, the cheese soufflé was inedible, and the meatball was still cold.

Instead of meatballs, they sold snowballs. The whole ball was frozen solid, straight out of the freezer. The fries also had half a kilo of salt on them. The second time, it was still inedible and tasted like car tires. Although, I'd rather have a few bites with a car tire on my plate than these meatballs. I've never had such a bad snack bar, and I recommend everyone avoid it.

Slecht, geen goede ervaring Geen tv en die kamer waren klein. The shower and bathroom was only seperated with a closet from the bedroom. Only stayed one night and wouldn’t want more. One of the neighbours complained and spokw rude to us.

Authentic and quirky place, friendly people, good coffee.

Great! A bit messy indeed, but the fries are excellent!

Large portions, good prices and everything fresh

Unfriendly staff and the food was also disappointing. The whole thing made a messy impression. In the kitchen someone was standing behind the grease container with their coat on. Limp fries and boiled spare ribs that were floating in piripiri sauce with cucumber slices and tomatoes straight from the water. A black angus burger consisting of a bun with burger, a small pile of roasted onions and a dollop of undefined sauce, plus 2 cans of cola. For €32 you really expect something more in a "good" snack bar. A little friendliness costs nothing and is a prerequisite if you have a catering establishment. The dinner menu could not be used here either, but is still noted as such.

Slappe friet, die veel te vet is. Duidelijk oud vet en alles ziet er smoezelig uit. Ze hebben we veel keuze in (speciaal) bier. De bediening is helaas erg onvriendelijk en niet klantgericht.

Super goede patat, beste van Almere. Fijne en gezellige plek om te eten, en scherpe prijzen.
