Restaurant with a great atmosphere and excellent food with a very good flavor

Last Friday, I went to Onze Zaak with a friend for dinner and we were pleasantly surprised! We had a cozy spot at the bar with a great view of this charming restaurant. The food and wine were delicious. The service was also very attentive without being pushy. They helped us choose the perfect wine for each dish, and we were able to order food even though the kitchen was already closed. So sweet, and I'll definitely be back :)

A small Italian restaurant with excellent food, a cozy, homey, and informal atmosphere, and friendly and dedicated staff. You feel truly welcome and cared for, as if "their business" is also their living room from which they serve their guests. Every dish was prepared with great care and attention to detail, perfectly prepared to perfection, and packed with flavor. Without a doubt, 5 stars, and we'll see you again soon!

We had a great meal last night. Delicious dishes, good portions. Good wines, but not much of a selection by the glass. Not even Italian wines. However, they call it fine dining with an Italian twist. In our opinion, it's more of a (good) Italian restaurant with flavorful dishes. What we ate was delicious and well-prepared. But when I think of fine dining, I think more of complex flavor combinations, refined dishes, and a more luxurious ambiance. Based on "fine dining" -> 3 stars. Otherwise, it would have definitely been 4.

Party of two at 2 pm on a Friday. Plenty of seating available both inside and out. Nice decor and clean. All the dishes were plated nicely. The burrata with beet and the baby octopus were good. We also had the Caesar salad and the Little Gem salad with pear. We preferred the Little Gem over the Caesar, but both were good. The menu does change regularly.

This café is a truly lovely place to relax. The decor is stylish but not overdone, with lots of wood and warm lighting. The service was very friendly and took the time to help us choose something delicious. I chose a cappuccino with oat milk and a brownie, and both were fantastic. The brownie was just right: soft on the inside and slightly crispy on the outside. The café was full of people chatting or working quietly, which created a cozy and lively atmosphere. I also noticed how clean and well-maintained everything was. The music played in the background and wasn't distracting. The prices were affordable, and the quality was high. I will definitely visit this café again.

What a wonderful experience! From the moment we walked in, we felt incredibly welcome. The service was exceptionally warm and friendly – ​​just the right balance between attentive and present, without ever being intrusive. The eggplant fritters were absolutely fantastic; so good, in fact, that we happily chose them as our main course. The other dishes were also flavorful and beautifully balanced, and the wine suggestions complemented them perfectly. The waiter's advice made our choice even better. A special detail we really appreciated: when his shift was over, the waiter came to say goodbye personally. These kinds of small, sincere gestures make all the difference and give the evening something extra special. In short: a restaurant that excels not only in flavor, but especially in warmth and hospitality. Absolutely recommended – we will definitely be back!

NO. Rip-off. Paid €56.50 for two dishes and one water. And the portions weren't even big, so you didn't even get full.

I really appreciated the focused menu, it’s concise, so you don’t spend forever choosing or get overwhelmed with options. We ordered the Ravioli al crescione, Carbonara, and Tagliolini al tartufo. While we found them a bit salty for our taste, the overall preparation was solid and well-executed. Portions lean more toward the gourmet side, so if you’re really hungry, I’d recommend starting with an appetizer. There’s a great selection of wines, and the beer options weren’t bad either. Service was quick and very friendly. Prices felt fair and not overly expensive. Overall, it’s a nice spot for a good Italian meal in Amsterdam.

We had an amazing dinner here, enjoying Burrata, Tagliolini al Tartufo, Lamb cutlets with sweet potato fries, and ending with a delightful Tiramisu. The owner was incredibly warm and friendly, and the food was absolutely delicious. Highly recommended!

I quickly looked it up via Italian restaurant with good reviews in Amsterdam. I'm not entirely convinced by the many 5-star ratings. Tastes differ, so I'm certainly not saying the food wasn't good, but it wasn't great for us. The portion was also small for the price we paid. It was also busy, so the service was very hasty. We'd give it a 3-4 star rating.

I've been there three times during my stay and would come even more. The food and drinks are absolutely delicious, but what’s even more important is the people who work there. You can feel that each person loves what they are doing. The team is vivid and passionate — it’s truly inspiring. The restaurant itself is super cozy.

The food, atmosphere and professionalism at "Onze Zaak" will get a 10 out of 10 from me and my mother. Will certainly go back on a regular basis. We had diner there on Sunday the 3rd of August 2025. A "Foodies" paradise.

Charming Italian restaurant, tucked away on a quiet street and offers indoor and outdoor dining. Although it’s a small menu with limited options, all of the pasta dishes were perfectly seasoned and delicious. Service slowed down dramatically when the restaurant filled up, but overall it was still a pleasant dining experience.

Fijn restaurant op een mooie lokatie, Italiaans georiënteerd. Goede menukaart met niet teveel gerechten. Uitgebreide wijnkaart. Vriendelijk en attent personeel, op hun suggestie was ook twee halve glazen wijn mogelijk. Het eten voldeed aan onze verwachtingen en was goed bereid. Enig minpuntje was de wat harde perzik in het dessert. Prijs/kwaliteit is goed. Aanbevolen!

We were a group of 6 visiting Amsterdam from the UK, and because my mother has a specific food intolerance we needed to research beforehand. Many places never responded to our emails, but Onze Zaak did and were extremely friendly and helpful. It was then an easy decision to book in! We arrived on a Monday evening and were given a very warm welcome, and shown to our table which was all ready and very inviting. We were looked after very well, and they had noted my mother's food allergy and were very considerate and helpful to her in suggesting what was suitable. When the food arrived, wow it was delicious, and beautifully presented. This isn't a bog standard Italian, this is top quality fresh food made with skill and care. We were all extremely happy with the food and felt so relaxed there. Drinks flowed too and much enjoyed! Many thanks Onze Zaak, it was a fantastic final night to our holiday!

Unfortunately, it wasn't a success. The service was poor, as was the food. My Caesar salad had the back of a romaine lettuce in it—you have to be brave to do that.

Foods were great. But the main dishes is a little bit too small. As a bar, the atmosphere was great! I love the background music!

A real 5 stars service, just after booking the table, Daniele contacted me to suggest a closed menu (we book for 9 people) and offered different options. The menu was great, well presented, normal sized and really tasty. A hidden gem in Amsterdam

The dishes were exquisite. Everything was very tasty.

Foccacia was very good, but I can't say the same for the pasta, the sauce collapsed to the bottom and leaves a dry feeling when eating the pasta, it had a rawer taste than al dante, the cooking time with the sauce is in a hurry, I would be very happy if you pay attention, also for such a greasy product, please offer water to your customers.

We loved this restaurant and would definitely return. The best part was the food; everything tasted spectacular. I would eat the rabbit casarecce dish every day; it was incredible. The waiters were also fantastic, especially the lady who interacted a lot with our baby. It's a completely kid-friendly place. They set up a highchair for us and provided children's cutlery for my son. Without a doubt, it was the restaurant we enjoyed most in Amsterdam.

Very tasty food, especially the octopus. Interesting presentation. But the waitress who served us did not listen at all to my daughter, who wanted to consult about a cocktail, she simply interrupted her, turned around and went to the restaurant. When I made a remark to her, she said that she was in a hurry, but besides us, 2 tables were occupied on the street and no one inside the establishment. The conclusion is the following, the food is delicious, as for the service, the waiter simply left without a tip. Will I come to this establishment again? Not sure. There are many customer-oriented restaurants in Amsterdam.

After studying with my friend, we came here to have a meal. I ordered the truffle pasta. The flavor of the pasta was pretty good, but it got a bit greasy towards the end, probably because of the amount of butter used, which is unavoidable. The truffle slices on the pasta didn’t have much truffle flavor, it tasted more like paper, but overall it was still good. My friend ordered the rabbit pasta, which tasted a bit too mild. We also ordered sweet potato fries, which were delicious—especially when paired with the truffle mayonnaise. I absolutely love the sweet potato fries!

Amazingly delicious italian restaurant. Cozy table & bar options with a delicious wide-ranging menu (including paleo/gluten-free meals of meat & veggies). I personally had perfect pasta starter followed by a gnocchi main course along with a glass of red wine. Everyone was happy, nice, and helpful with the menu. (And that was In English as we mostly know how to say thank you in Dutch). On our way out, we said “grazie” to the real Italian who greatly contributed to our lovely experience.

ITALIAN food in Amsterdam wasn't on my list but this place was FANTASTIC! The pasta (with artichokes) was cooked perfectly. There were four of us dining and we all loved our choices. Two of us ordered the pasta with rabbit. See pics. Everything was fresh. Service was good too. Nice and cozy inside. Great place to drink wine and eat wonderful food. Portions were good. We also enjoyed a few of the desserts. I liked the affogato the most. Highly recommend, especially if you're in the mood for Italian!

I like to think I have a pretty high bar when it comes to Italian, and this place delivered. The entree-size truffle pasta was quite small but absolutely delicious. The steak was super tender and tasty. And finally, a tiramisu that I really enjoyed! Service and environment will also spot on. Left feeling so satisfied!
