What a wonderful ambiance; this word shouldn't scare anyone off. Everyone here feels like a welcome guest. I had such a delicious meal with my children again.

Cozy place to grab a bite to eat. Wide selection, not just pancakes.

After a day at the military museum, we found this restaurant nearby. It was busy, but even though we hadn't reserved, there was still room. Friendly welcome and friendly staff. It was a big, tasty pancake.

Had a delicious lunch, and the seating both inside and outside was great and neat. Parking 👍 A nice spot for before or after a walk in the woods.

I am actually shocked by the number of bad reviews. This is our regular pancake restaurant. There is a lovely space outside for the children to play. The pancakes are deliciously handmade. And they are also quite large, so one is really enough (unlike many others we visit). It is also not a place that wants to have the highest turnover (as I get the feeling at many places near Laagse Vuurse). So no, certainly not worth the one-star rating. But fair is fair, there is some truth to the reviews. Sometimes it can take quite a while before the order is taken. We don't mind that; we come for the atmosphere and not to rush into something. The biggest tip I can give: come and ask sooner after the pancake if we want another drink. But truly our favorite.

Reserved, yet still had to wait until a table was available. No regular draft beer, only specialty beer on tap.

Staff work hard. I ordered 3 pancakes for myself and my 2 kids, aged 7 and 9, and they were just really not tasty; they felt like rubber. None of the three of us finished them. When we placed our order, we were told that they would pass it on to the kitchen... subsequently, we were able to pay, but there was no apology, no word of compensation, or any concession. It can happen that something doesn't turn out right or isn't tasty, but it is what you do with it afterwards. No second time for us, and certainly not recommended.

A nice restaurant with a lot to offer. We started out our sunday hike with a drink at this restaurant and to check the menu beforehand to see whether the items on there were to our liking for after our hike. The staff was very friendly and welcoming and even my girlfriends request to get extra cinnamon on her chai latté was fulfilled without any hassle. For dinner we went for the Carpaccio as a starter, it was quite lovely but my only gripe would be the amount of arugula on top which was quite a lot. For our main course we both went for pancakes, we chose the Okonomiyaki and the Paris pancakes. My only comments for the Okonomiyaki would be that the Edamame really didn't add anything and isn't something to be found on the real dish... Second the amount sauce was quite poor which took away from the taste of the dish as a whole. For the Parijs pannenkoek we liked it but it could've used some more honey, especially as it pairs so well with the cheese and nuts that a little extra could've really connected all the flavours. Aside from that, we had a lovely visit and will defenitely return here when we're in the area.

It has been a very long time since I was last here, and even longer since I actually worked here. The old atmosphere felt more atmospheric to me. Now you come through a sort of gate, your table is shown to you, and you sit outside quite crammed together. It is also peculiar how you enter the grounds now with barriers and cameras... You used to be able to play mini-golf here too, that seems to have completely disappeared. Modernization doesn't make it more atmospheric to me, but maybe I'm just a complainer 😜 The pancake was delicious, that's what mattered.

Top location with a great terrace

It used to be a great place with equally great service. I don't know what has changed in terms of management etc., but now the service is worthless. Pancakes arrived with long intervals between them; one bacon pancake was completely black on one side. The waitress had to call a colleague to come and check if the pancake was black enough for another one. Then we had to wait a long time again for the replacement pancake. As a result, everyone had finished their pancake long before the last person could start eating. Dessert was a complete disaster: Ice cream with apple crumble means: a scoop of ice cream that was more than half melted with exactly 4 pieces of apple on top and a pathetic dollop of whipped cream. We had to wait a very long time for all of this too, “yes, it’s busy today…” Meanwhile, four waitresses were standing there chatting non-stop. When we asked for a discount for the melted ice cream at the end of the dinner for 8 out of 12 people, this was not possible. So, no insight into customer friendliness or the overall experience. Here is the reward in the form of this review; for the time being, we certainly won't be coming back.

Nice place, friendly staff, delicious pancakes

Looking for a place to have lunch in Zeist, we ended up at the Jagershuys. It offers a very extensive selection of pancakes, including some with unexpected toppings like the New Yorker. You can also create your own pancake. The staff is young, friendly, and efficient. The pancakes are freshly baked and generously topped. The restaurant is located near Zeist in a wooded area that invites you for a walk.

The best pancake ever, everything is cooked in well. Very tasty. Nice terrace to sit on and fast, friendly service. Dogs are allowed on the terrace. Great!

Thin pancakes, almost crêpes. The price-quality ratio is skewed. For example, the shockingly high price for drinks! €5.75 for just a tiny bit of wine! Note: the purchase price for a bottle (a quick search on the internet) was around 5 to 6 euros. The staff were almost all friendly, but orders didn't always come through clearly..... Long wait times for a drink.

Very nice pancake place in a beautiful area. If you wanna go on a pre/post dinner walk the restaurant is a starting point for several beautiful walks in the area (short and long). Ofcourse also possible to do this around lunch time or just for a quick drink before or after. Whether your sitting inside or outside, good vibes are guaranteed!!! Also there are a couple of unique pancakes that are definitely worth trying!!!

We had a delicious meal. However, you really have to wait a very long time for your pancakes when it's busy; that could be improved.

Pros: 1- delicious pancakes! 2- beautiful location, shade and sun. 3- very nice playground with adjacent tables. So even without children, you can enjoy a pancake here in peace.

Standtood waiting for a long time. Waited even longer for the pancakes; they arrived cold, so they were remade. Very pricey toppings for what you get. The jam wasn't enough for one pancake. And the pancakes were thin too.

Nice location, but inside it looks more like a dog shelter than a restaurant. Although I am a true dog lover, I do not consider a restaurant a place for dogs. Except for service dogs, of course. A wet, rainy day inevitably results in extra doggy smell, dogs shaking themselves dry, and dogs walking all over everything. In the section where we were seated, we had already asked for another table because the first one was right next to two very wet dogs; we ended up sitting among about six dogs. The lady we spoke to about this responded that dogs are simply allowed here. Fine, but then we won't be coming back. Yuck.

Worthless. 13 people. The first one finishes his pancake and the last one gets his. Ice cream that is already half melted before it is served, and if you say something about it, they just shrug their shoulders. A bit of a shame

Excellent place for lunch and dinner. Relatively quiet atmosphere, very accessible via forest walk or car. Pancakes in large variety and adequate potions.

Nowadays, all you do here is wait for your food.... Choices are getting fewer and you sit waiting at least an hour for your pancake because they are always short of staff. So you can also let fewer people in if there is no room!!!

Here you can find the tastiest pancakes, but also other treats. Just go for it; we come regularly to eat a pancake. Delicious.

Nothing special. Had to wait quite a while for service and pancakes, even though the terrace was barely half full. My savory pancake was dripping with honey, making the bacon invisible.

Beautiful building. There is some confusion regarding the waiting time. Normally it is 20 minutes, but this time it was 35 minutes. The staff was quite rushed and rude.

Dirty tables, far from the playground with children. Others received food before us, even though they arrived later. Asking where our missed pancake was. Others were offered something for the children, whereas we weren't even offered anything. Once and never again, unfortunately..

The food offers good value for money. The service was truly substandard. The terrace wasn't busy at all, but everything took a long time. Ordering drinks - waiting - asking for the menu - waiting - asking to order - waiting - eating - waiting - asking for the bill. A huge opportunity to rectify this. It would yield more financially for the business and give you, as a guest, a greater sense of being welcome.

A reservation made a day in advance was not recorded. The pancake was tasty but steeply priced. The beer was not cold. And the iced coffee was just milk from the fridge with an espresso in it. So, lukewarm. Going for the margin to the bone. The service was friendly but very slow. The Prinsenhof is a little further down the road. Also a pancake restaurant. A world of difference.

Had a nice lunch. Enjoyed sitting on the terrace. The price could be a bit lower. It is on the expensive side. Otherwise very good.

We stayed for an hour and a half with 7 people (3 children) the only thing we got were our drinks. We didn't even get the bitterballen (which is supposed to take a maximum of 10 minutes) in the end, they even avoided us from ordering another drink contacted them multiple times to complain about why it was taking so long.... received no response... we were avoided again eventually left filed a complaint... we were 100% forced to consume our drinks did get an apology.... and a happy Father's Day... NEVER AGAIN!!!

Yesterday we had dinner with the ladies from the MET JE HART foundation. The food was fantastic... enjoyable and the service was nice and friendly. !!

Ended up here with a friend; she already knew it. Despite not having a reservation and it being quite busy, there was fortunately a spot available. The pancakes were delicious, so we will definitely come back here again.

What an amazing gluten-free and dairy-free pancake I ate. I chose the version with bacon and honey. Truly suuuuper delicious. Highly recommended!

We were sitting outside on the terrace (smoke-free) right near the exit on Whit Monday. A designated smoking area has been placed just outside the exit on the terrace side. Well, we certainly noticed that... You can see the forest, but all you smell is cigarette smoke from various smokers. Of course, the wind direction plays an important role, but in nice weather, it likely comes from that direction more often. In any case, it wasn't our evening; as it turned out there was paper from sugar packets in my girlfriend's cappuccino... Instead of a nice last sip, I felt nauseous... We did report this, but all we got was an 'oh, that's not supposed to happen'... No, we didn't leave with a pleasant feeling...

Every year, it is a tradition to eat at the Jagershuys on Ascension Day. Delicious pancakes, also available in a gluten-free version.

Delicious pancakes. There is something on the menu for everyone, and the staff was very friendly. It took a while for our food to arrive, but everything was freshly made, and moreover, we were sitting comfortably in the sunshine. Combined with a walk in the woods and playing in the playground, this is wonderful for both young and old.

Worst place ever!!felt like kindergarten!!! After a long day, you go out to dinner with your family to relax, but you certainly won't be able to relax if (like us) they put you in a room full of children (including a young soccer team!!). We couldn't talk or hear each other, so we arrived, ate, and left in 55 minutes. I don't recommend it if you want to enjoy dinner and relax. When we complained, the manager told us that there were children in all the rooms and that the situation was therefore the same throughout the restaurant.

Pancakes are truly the best in the Netherlands and there is a nice playground next to the terrace!

Lovely place with a nice vibe, and grear location. Staff is very friendly, helpful and competent. Food is good, nice tosti and pancakes:) It's close to the DiaK hospital, so if you have to go there and you need a bite (whether for strength or celebration), this is a great place to go. It's location is also easy to reach by bus and car with plenty of parking space. Thanks again for a lovely visit❤️

A cozy restaurant for all ages where you can enjoy delicious pancakes. There's also a large outdoor playground for the kids, and in the summer, you can relax on the terrace.

Delicious food, the atmosphere is good, but noisy because it is so big; the same applies to the service, which is sometimes lacking due to the size. Otherwise, we were not bothered by it.

A nice place to eat together, suitable for family or as a couple. The service is good and quite fast, but we were not there on the weekend. A large group naturally takes longer, but it was well organized. The pancakes are superb, with a wide selection of interesting and unique varieties.

We ate here with 6 adults and 4 children. It is a fantastic, beautiful restaurant with friendly service and an eye for detail. The pancakes were incredibly delicious. The children could play wonderfully and had a great time in the beautiful playground. A top location, with top service and top food.

The toilet seat seals are completely missing. Personally, I think the toilet says something about the overall hygiene of the organization. So I'm not happy with it. A business toilet seat costs twenty euros.

I was here for the first time for a team outing. I'm not a fan of pancakes, but I saw something on the menu that really appealed to me, just without the pancake. And that's what I got! Hats off!

Today it was time for another visit to Pancake Restaurant 't Jagerhuys in Zeist. I'd been there regularly in the past, and now I finally had the opportunity to enjoy pancakes with friends. A friendly member of my group had made a reservation, and we were warmly welcomed by an enthusiastic blond man from the restaurant. Because we were visiting midweek, there was plenty of choice in the conservatory and the restaurant itself. We were seated there, and our drinks orders were quickly taken by an attentive and helpful young woman. A small appetizer (the Italian roll with herb butter is highly recommended) formed the basis for our pancakes. After all this time, I can still say that their pancakes are still of excellent quality: perfectly cooked (not too greasy, not too dry), well-filled (not too much, not too little), and with the familiar taste. Thanks to the friendly, helpful, and enthusiastic staff. And an added bonus for the cozy Christmas decorations in the restaurant. It was more than worth visiting the Jagerhuys again... we'll try to come back soon... We enjoyed it.

We were here today with a group of seven. There's plenty of seating, but I think eight pancake pans aren't enough for such a large restaurant. We waited over an hour. Afterward, my sister-in-law ordered an iced tea (while we were eating), but it arrived after we'd all finished and my brother was paying. The pancakes weren't all great; some were very thick and still quite expensive for the quality. But it was nice to see so many vegetarian and vegan options! The servers were all very nice! But I don't think I'd go back.

Definitely recommend. Good food for great prices. Visited several times over a year, food was always good quality and delicious. The pancakes come with dishes on top, really creative and surprisingly tasty way of serving. Good vegetarian options, great atmosphere fitting well within the beautiful forresty surroundings. Service is always friendly and welcoming but speed and service is depending on busyness. Very easy parking which is great, will come back for sure.

A large, yet very cozy place to enjoy pancakes with family and children. Lots of different varieties, including one with apple and a venison and wild boar stew. The food was excellent and the staff were very helpful.

The food was delicious, but the parking lot was a nightmare. Ankle-deep in mud and puddles of muddy water, no lighting, in short, very poor. Go get that asphalted or paved! They won't see me there again when it rains; there are plenty of alternatives in the area.

We ate at this restaurant with a large group. We made a reservation, so they knew we were coming. The staff was super friendly, no complaints there. However, the food took a very long time; we waited about an hour. When it was delivered, it turned out to be incorrect. Some drinks weren't brought. I had the Mexican pancake. Very little meat, in my opinion. The quality is otherwise good, but they could be much better organized.

First, the wrong pancakes were served; the waitress had entered the wrong table. The pancakes aren't what they used to be: stale, thick, and the batter wasn't tasty. Hope it'll be better next time.

We had Mexican pancakes this afternoon. The price-quality ratio was poor. Very little meat and far too many tortilla chips. The entire restaurant smelled of the kitchen, which we found unpleasant. Otherwise, the atmosphere was pleasant and the staff friendly.

It was a busy Sunday, and it was completely packed. At first, it seemed like the staff wasn't very enthusiastic. After seeing how well they kept things running even though it was packed inside and out, it was quite impressive!

I made a reservation here last Sunday and when we arrived we got a table quickly but we didn't get any service for half an hour not even a menu to look at for food I left after that very disappointed

I had a Goliath pancake, but it fell apart due to its composition. It didn't taste good. And I didn't finish it all. The other four diners were happy with their choices.
