The best way to end a day at Archeon

The table was dirty (melted wax). The service was quick. The staff were friendly. The pancakes were average. The apple pie was good. The bean soup tasted like beans.

Food is ok, but the service can not take a simple order correctly, very disappointing. Also very expensive for little.

Delicious. The apple pie is great. Sitting in the garden, with all those herbs is also special. Also a good system that you get a buzzer, so you don't have to wait and that you know when it's ready... good service and all nice people. Beautiful in authentic atmosphere.

Five star pancake. Delicious with fried cheese, nice and crunchy but not too greasy. And quite a large pancake. The trip to the Archeon was more than worth it.

I am normally quiet critical about pancake.. This one make a really good pancake 😊 The atmosphere is, without doubt, amazing.

Above average good food, with the exception of the sausage roll which is mediocre. Please note, it is very busy during the school holidays, but it runs smoothly and the food comes quite quickly. Would definitely come back.

Very cozy place in the Archeon. We were helped promptly and even though it was very busy. We didn't eat pancakes but a delicious sausage roll. Pancakes that passed by looked and smelled delicious.

By far the tastiest pancakes in Alphen aan den Rijn and the wider region. The lentil soup is my favorite.

You have to order your own food at the bar. When it's done, the beeper goes off. It feels like an inn, busy with families during the holiday season.

Very good pancakes for a museum. The pancake house is open longer than the museum, you can eat here until about seven o'clock. From the inside, the pancake house is themed after an old medieval building, the juices are even served in an old-looking cup. The bacon cheese pancake was good and the cheese was quite crispy. We also had a pancake with ham, leek and mushrooms and that also tasted very good. Definitely recommended to visit during or after your visit to the Archeon.

Always stop here for a bite when visiting Archeon. Weather permitting the midieval garden (covered seating available) is lovely. The indoor seating is perfect on colder days.

With a hungry mob to feed during our visit at the Archeon we ended up at the Pannenkoen Huis; we had to wait very little even if it was rush hour and, incredibly, our order was brought to us by the crew (amazing, considering the usual service standards in the Netherlands). The pancake in itself was a bit too burned for my taste, but it was big and tasty.

I didn't like the coffee that much, the food looked good

Great eatery, although very busy due to school trips, but the staff remains super friendly to the young people who are waiting in lines for a plate of fries. The chicken soup is highly recommended and the pancake stew was also excellent.

Paid dearly for little food. One pancake was too thick and undercooked, the other pancake was very dark brown on the bottom. Fries stew is mainly a lot of fries. Stew meat lukewarm and not tasty Hot cups are delivered with the cola... Very sweet waitress (Shanti)

Wow, unexpectedly good! Warm apple pie with artisanal whipped cream and honey nut sauce, where else can you find something so divine on the menu? The Flemish fries specials were also surprising and great. Think of stew or truffle mayo with bacon (or mushrooms) and spring onions.

Always tasty to eat a pancake! Doing that at Archeon makes it extra fun!

The pancake house located in the Archeon. The pancake house was built in the monastery in the park. The pancakes are made from flour from the mill 'De Eendracht' in Alphen aan den Rijn. A beer brewed by the monastery is also sold. This is very tasty and definitely recommended.

Completely in the style of the late Middle Ages, we enjoyed a delicious pancake with goat cheese, bacon and honey. Really delicious after a day of wandering through the Dutch past.

Delicious soup, but it's a pity that it wasn't stated where the butter was, I didn't know I had to get it myself. I thought the portion was quite small for the price. It is partly self-service, but people were also served at the table. A bit confusing. It's not cheap here anyway, but that's always the case at an amusement park.

Je mag Archeon gratis in vanaf 16.00 uur wanneer je hier een reservering hebt. Wij hebben de pannenkoek Allerheiligen besteld, wij dachten sommige pannenkoeken onbeperkt te kunnen bestellen van de kaart. Maar dat is dit niet. Je krijgt een naturel pannenkoek met vijf toppings die je op deze pannenkoek kunt leggen. De toppings zijn geraspte kaas, gebakken spek, rundvlees en appelcompote met krenten (warm) en de vijfde is een wisselende smaak, bij ons was dat geitenkaas met honing. Lekker, maar meegebakken vind ik persoonlijk toch lekkerder, dus bij een volgend bezoek, neem ik toch een pannenkoek van de kaart.

Als je enigszins wilt ervaren hoe het vroeger was, maar dan ook echt “vroeger” als in de middeleeuwen, dan moet je tijdens of na je bezoek aan het Archeon zeker het Klooster niet overslaan. Voornamelijk pannekoeken, maar ook voortreffelijke voorgerechten. De linzensoep was zalig! Manlief genoot van een beker warme mede. Erg leuk. Ook de omschrijvingen op de kaart zijn zeker de moeite waard om te lezen. Nogmaals, geen hoogstaand restaurant maar wel heerlijk laagdrempelig!

Atmosphere was decent. Half of the tables were reserved. The table I was sitting at was not cleared. Too bad there was more to it. Maybe in the summer it will be better and they will be better prepared.

Na een lange tijd gewandeld te hebben, zijn we een tijdje daar gaan zitten. Wat wij op een bezoekdag hebben, was er. Niks mis mee.

Really belonged to the Middle Ages in Archeon Park. The monk with his singing made it complete.
