Possibly because it lacked depth and was often written in a victim-oriented manner. My response to the current message below, which is now politically correct, deviates far from reality. You didn't offer me a solution, but only the bill, despite you yourself stating that the tuna was very thin in texture and overly/strongly flavorful. If you sold more tuna that day, as you stated, despite knowing and admitting that the product wasn't what you normally present, I regret this for all those people, and it clearly shows what your standards are and the fact that you don't hold your quality in very high regard. IF YOU, AS A CUSTOMER, ALSO GOT SICK OR RECEIVED SPOILED TUNA, PLEASE PLEASE POST A REVIEW! -------------------------- (1) NO MORE TUNA FOR ME AT DE BLOIE DAG. !! Today I'm having lunch at "De BLOIE DAG." I specifically chose this location hoping to eat better and tastier than at the commercial establishments. And that was also the case during my previous visit in the spring of 2023.... BUT TODAY...!! WELL, MY DAY IS NOT THAT BLOOM. You do pay a bit extra, about €15 per sandwich, but you hope to see that reflected in the food. Anything but. A tuna sandwich, watery, thin, and strangely flavorful, sparsely filled, and very salty too. No, I didn't finish it. Even the employee admitted that the tuna was very strong and heavily seasoned. I have a hunch as to why it tasted so bad, now that I'm nauseous, constantly feeling nauseous, and lying on the couch with a severe stomach ache. Even though the staff acknowledged that something was wrong with the sandwich, I was simply presented with the full bill. I don't know why the quality wasn't great, but I hope this isn't the new standard. I won't be seeing them again for a while. There were still four slices of apple on the sandwich, which is correct. But I'm still having stomach problems from your tuna sandwich. Given the glassiness, combined with the strong flavor and wateriness, I suspect that the tuna was no longer fresh, or perhaps expired. The tuna wasn't just too salty!! As you yourself admitted. I told you I'd been to your restaurant before, and you may have recognized me from that, although I understand you can't remember everyone. But I always only eat tuna sandwiches or slices like the ones you served before. A tuna sandwich costs €12.95, not €15, but I got an average of what we ate. I can mention, and I told you this at the table when I complained, that I should have gotten a sandwich from Bart's bakery. Oh, and it costs €6.25 there, just in case there's any misunderstanding. Yes, I am indeed a former hospitality entrepreneur, which means I can't help people who are genuinely dissatisfied. You also shared with me that the taste wasn't good and I couldn't explain why. I gave these people a voucher so that this customer/guest would come back, and as an entrepreneur, this gives me the opportunity to show that it might have been a mistake, which normally shouldn't happen. But I see from your reaction that you're not very resilient when faced with criticism. Criticism should help you grow, keep you sharp, and CONTINUE to perform at your best. The fact is, I got sick and still have symptoms a day later, which means I'll skip your business next time. The ambiance is great. The service tried to be friendly, but wasn't very attentive. The open fire is a no-go if you have small children with you. A screen would be very useful. The food was so-so. It's nothing like the gyros you get in German restaurants. It was quite bland, and the Metaxa sauce was basically just fat and onions. It didn't take long to get it back up. There weren't enough fries. Two people have to share a single portion of fries and salad. For that, the meal deal is too expensive. We waited about 15-20 minutes for drinks. We waited about 60 minutes for food for five adults. Simply too long for gyros and fries. One round of drinks was completely forgotten, but they were still added to the final bill. If we hadn't checked, we would have paid €10 more. Overall, the first impression was unfortunately better than everything that followed. Perhaps the team was just having a bad day. It would normally only be two stars, but since it's Christmas, I'll give it three.
