Food service coffee all delicious… quiche is especially lovely… would recommend…

Disappointed that this neighbourhood place has taken such a down turn. Went for lunch: only half of my food arrived. I had to find the staff and ask about it (because they gave no explanation and didn't return). Was told: the chef must not have any left but normally they'd normally send something else, I'll check. 10 mins later I was given hummus and chilli sauce from a bottle as a substitute. No ask, no checking. I was still charged full price and the attitude was very much 'food is food, who cares if it's not what you ordered'. Dining partner had falafel salad pita (tuna not available) and found it dry and unpleasant.

Great place, super sad that they are closing! They have catered for us a few times, which was above expectations every time. The last time we accidentally gave the wrong date, but on the night itself they did everything they could to still deliver top service. We will miss you and would love to see you appear at festivals!

We ate there on what seemed to be a busy night for the kitchen, which was totally occupied making pittas for takeout. So we waited a while for food. They could bring us bread while we waited, luckily, but the atmosphere was a bit stressed. I felt sorry for the server - absolutely not her fault! The food when it came was quite nice and veggie rich, but for dinner it was a bit insubstantial. I wonder if this is really a lunch place, as I can see it working more for a lighter meal. So I don't not recommend it exactly - more just think it's not somewhere I'd go back for dinner.

Great spot that has some of that old Amsterdam charm. Relaxing and welcoming.

Food was decent. Points of improvement: 1. hygiene and cleaning. Make sure the toilets, tables and upstairs are clean and tidy. 2. A "hello" or "good afternoon" upon arrival costs nothing, and the guest then feels welcome. That was missing during our visit.

I saw the stars and wanted to try for a casual place. We waited for some time, and no waitress showed up. Then we left and went to Efendy acrossed the street instead, it was great.

Découvert un peu par hasard au cours d’une balade au Vondel Park. Carte principalement composée de spécialités méditerranéennes. Les plats étaient très bons, frais et très copieux.

Après une recherche de restaurant ratée, nous tombons sur ce petit restaurant. Service accueillant, nourriture faite maison de qualité exceptionnelle, rien à redire à propos de ce restaurant. IL FAUT ABSOLUMENT Y ALLER !

Stopped for a drink whilst the weather was a bit wet. Just chanced on this place and glad we did. Small area downstairs and a quaint quirky seating space up some stairs. The waiting staff were excellent. Very helpful with drink selection. Lovely beers including zero and a nice bottle of Rosé. Variety of food available which I would happily return to try. Very pleasant stop for a chat with friends on a rainy day.

In quanto amanti della cucina mediorientale abbiamo optato per questo ristorante che, dalle recensioni, sembrava promettere bene. E non siamo rimasti affatto delusi. Locale molto formale, si mangia al primo piano. Il menù è molto ricco di scelta. Noi abbiamo preso un antipasto di bitterball da dividere e due tsjakh libanesi, una vegetariana e una vegana, più due birre e un'acqua. Tutto molto buono devo dire, abbondante e a buon prezzo (per Amsterdam). Ottimo anche il servizio, piuttosto veloce. Consigliato!

Perfect little place!! Great beer. We only had dessert, but it was good. Nondescript, laid back atmosphere with tablecloths that remind me of home. Kind staff and cute decor. I would highly recommend as a moment to sit.

C’était vraiment excellentissime! Petit restaurant caché, je suis trop contente de l’avoir trouvé. La nourriture est magnifiquement bonne et bien cuisinée, les serveuses sont tres gentilles et le cadre charmant. Merci pour ce repas!

Proper good cafe and restaurant!! The staff is amazing and the food is very good as well. Loved the bread with dips and the quiche was also amazing. Also fun for some drinks before heading to the city! Great location near the Vondelpark and the City Center is about a 10 minute walk!✨🥰

There is only one waiter who didn’t even say “hello” back. We ordered two dishes for two people and they only brought one because they forgot the other. I am not happy for the money I’ve spent here. Food was okay, spritz came in a really tiny glass although they charged 7euros for it.

Peperwortel is a very cute place for a nice brunch or also lunch! The menu is changing over periods and therefore offers something new and exciting every once and a while. Out food was great and the service is very friendly aswell! Definitely recommend this place.

Whenever I feel like treating my friends and myself with a nice restaurant, 1 st place that comes in mind: simple yet sophisticated and delicious food. The place itself is beautifully decorated with this Amelie Poulain vibes, and the staff is simply the most welcoming, chill and nice in all Amsterdam (and maybe it’s surroundings) Cheers guys!

Heerlijk eten tegen een goede prijs. Prijs, kwaliteit verhouding is echt goed. We hebben daar geluncht, buiten op het terras in de zon. De bediening was zeer vriendelijk en het eten, naast heel lekker, ook meer dan genoeg. Echt een aanrader.

Heerlijk op terras gezeten met een zeer goede fles wijn. Eten was uit de kunst en personeel zijn super vriendelijk en leggen met passie hun specials uit. Echt een aanrader. Snap nu waarom ze een begrip zijn op de Overtoom en waarom ze zo lang in business zijn.
