I tried the special dish for two, and overall I really enjoyed my meal. The kebabs were very close to what you would expect to get in Tehran, which was a pleasant surprise. The rice, however, was not quite at the same level in terms of quality. Overall, I was happy with the food and would definitely consider coming back.

Poor service for a high bill. Not satisfied at all. Not recommended. For a fully booked restaurant, there are two old ladies serving, meaning they can't keep up, and as a customer, you often have to wait too long for your drink. I think if you earn good money, you should be allowed to spend a bit on good staff.

Best Persian food and live music in Holland!

Unfortunately, a whole string of flaws. Cold food. Kobide was absolutely inedible. Joeje was still acceptable. Barg was very mediocre. Service was fast enough, but manners are completely lacking. There was simply no hygiene; at least wipe down your salt and pepper shakers once a year. They simply do not understand what running a decent restaurant / hospitality business entails. I could go on, but all in all, I absolutely cannot recommend it.

Grab a chair for this one because I rarely feel the urge to write this level of negative review especially for an iranian restaurant. I have been to many, it is basically personal tradition to grab some iranian kebab anywhere I go but this one I might have been better of cooking meat that fell off a delivery truck. That night, my toilet earned every penny I put for purchasing it and it might need therapy the poor thing The rudeness is a whole different level of entitlement. It might have been good in the past with previous owners but you can see all the decent reviews are from ages ago.

My experience at this restaurant was unfortunately not satisfactory. I was charged more and after follow-up, the money was refunded to me about 12 hours later. But what upset me more than the financial issue was the way the restaurant manager treated me. I was spoken to in a harsh tone on the phone and the call was disconnected. After I respectfully explained that I was going to recommend this restaurant to my acquaintances but had changed my mind due to this experience, I received a response that I found very unprofessional: "You better not choose our restaurant again. We will be happy because it seems like you are looking for a subject." Mistakes can happen to any business, but the way you treat a customer when correcting a mistake can build or destroy trust. The treatment I received made me no longer willing to visit or recommend this restaurant. This review is simply a statement of my personal experience and I hope it will be useful for other customers in their decision-making.

The food the first time wasn't that good. But last year at Christmas it had become much tastier. They are welcome to come by the table for drinks more often. The atmosphere is very old and could be a bit nicer and more modern.

Christmas Day, by invitation...when we arrived, a band was playing...so loud you had to shout at the table. The stove was broken...freezing cold, everyone had their coats on...there was no service...you had to get your own drinks. The hot starter was cold...the kitchen door was open for the second course...the chef was smoking while cooking...so disgusting. We skipped dessert because we wanted to leave. Luckily, we only had to pay 90 euros per person...NEVER AGAIN...

Is the worth Iranian restaurant ever I have been, nothing taste also the meat it’s not good

I was here with my Dutch friends, proudly wanting to show them what Iranian cuisine is all about. Unfortunately, I was deeply disappointed. The service was so severe that my Dutch friends decided to leave. It's Kiel and cold, and people are smoking shisha—this is anything but Iranian culture and hospitality. Alas! I wouldn't recommend anyone to eat here. And when we paid, we were overcharged by 44 euros, which we later discovered in the car.

The food, music, and service were terrible. I felt sick after eating the kebab, and it was all bread mixed with meat. It was very classless.

The kebab koobideh and barg were fine, better than at most Iranian restaurants in the Netherlands. But the service was far below expectations. The service was disorganized, and the rice was unfortunately of poor quality. Today I was truly disappointed by the service and the rice. Hopefully, they'll improve on this, because the food itself deserves better.

I had an amazing experience at this Iranian restaurant in Amstelveen! The kebabs were incredibly fresh and flavorful, definitely some of the best I’ve ever had. The atmosphere is warm and charming, making it a really enjoyable place to spend time. The staff were welcoming, attentive, and very friendly, which added so much to the experience. On Saturday nights, they even have live music that beautifully brings back the spirit of Iran and makes the evening even more special. I was very satisfied with the food and the whole experience, and I would 100% recommend this place to anyone looking for delicious Persian cuisine and a great vibe.

The food quality was average. The rice and the kubideh were good. The ice cream was good. But the barg and chicken were not tasty and we could not eat them completely. The soup was a bit burnt. After that we started looking for a place to sit, but most of the chairs were in bad shape and it was hard to find a place to sit. When we arrived, there was no one to receive us and guide us to the reserved table. At the awkward place, where all the tables had to be moved every time to let someone through, there were not enough chairs on which we had to wait for a long time. to wait. However, there is something else that regularly comes up in the reviews about this restaurant, namely the owner. I often see negative reviews about the owner coming across as unprofessional or rude. This seems to have to do with an inferiority complex. Psychologically speaking, he clearly cannot handle feedback or criticism. He seems to take any feedback on his services as a personal attack, and he responds to it very defensively. My friendly suggestion to the owner would be to contact an Iranian psychologist to discuss these underlying issues. It might help him to show more flexibility when confronted with criticism or complaints. What I currently understand from the negative reviews is mainly a pattern of self-defense mechanisms, which is often the result of an inferiority complex. Hopefully the owner can do something with this, so that the restaurant can improve even further and all guests have an even better experience. I had the saffron kabob and it was amazing, I was craving Irooni food so it really hit the spot, the portion was great too, personally I don’t eat much so I had to take it to go, but the portion is pretty big . The meat and the rice were both good quality and the service was really good as well, Mehdi was very kind.

Dear all, Please don't waste your time and money on this restaurant. "Terrible" is a euphemism! The service is downright abysmal, the hygiene is disgraceful, and the communication is disastrous. Our food was served on a dusty plate, and when we confronted the owner about this, he started aggressively shouting at us as if we were the ones to blame. It's baffling that the inspectorate hasn't closed this establishment yet! I will not return here under any circumstances and would strongly discourage anyone from even setting foot across the threshold of this restaurant.

Been here a few times with friends. Very rude owner. At checkout it is always a surprise what you have to pay. Very rude and brutal. Comments like "go back to your own country to a South African friend who was along." The owner is better off running a shisha bar than a restaurant.

Ik zou het geen restaurant noemen maar meer een hangplek voor bepaalde soort mensen…het eten is echt slecht en duur. Sfeer ongelooflijk slecht! Heet, vies en onaangenaam. ik zou maar iedereen afraden om erheen te gaan en ik ben nog mild! Als je dit Perzisch keuken noemt, moet je je diep schamen. Het is alsof ik gekookte kip serveer als ambachtelijke kroket 😨

Heerlijke gerechten op het menu. Gerechten met heerlijke kruiden en specerijen. Er is zeer vriendelijke service! Er was een vriendin van mij jarig en toen ik daar iets voor wilde regelen dachten ze heel leuk mee en hebben ze haar bij het nagerecht een heerlijk dessert geserveerd met een feestelijke vuurpijl erbij. Een aanrader voor feestjes en partijen maar ook om lekker te eten.

I went for dinner here before checking the reviews; I wish I had. I don’t know if I should complain about service since the waiters were polite, but lacked communication skills (no english, with focus on arabic). That ruined our experience partly because we ordered 2 separate platters for 2 people but we were served 3, without intimation. If they had some common sense, they would know we can’t eat that much. So, we had to get the other platter packed up right away. Portions were big enough, however, quite expensive. We ended up paying over €85 for 2-person meal. Kindof surprise for us, since we’ve eaten at better places within Amsterdam Centrum for much lesser. Also, there wasn’t parity between cost printed on menu vs what we were charged. I’m not sure if I was overcharged but no point in asking since they couldn’t speak English. As for food, expected some flavor. For example, Manoto in AMS central serves better flavour of similar cuisines at much better prices. In fact, we found better flavour in food served at a joint just outside this place (Momo bar). Overall, not going to this place again.

I had a disappointing experience with Kourosh restaurant when I called to reserve a table for my mother's birthday. After informing them about the occasion and mentioning that I would be bringing a cake and candle myself, the owner insisted on charging €25 for the service. When I expressed my dissatisfaction and requested to cancel the reservation, the owner abruptly hung up the phone. Such poor customer service and unreasonable charges are unacceptable. I would not recommend this restaurant to others.

I had the unfortunate experience of dining at cyrus recently and it was a complete disaster. The owner of the restaurant was incredibly rude and dismissive, making the entire dining experience uncomfortable and unwelcoming. To make matters worse, the food was absolutely terrible. The dishes were bland, poorly cooked, and lacked any sort of flavor or seasoning. It was clear that no care or effort went into preparing the meals. Overall, I would strongly advise against dining at cyrus. The combination of a rude owner and subpar food makes this establishment one to avoid at all costs. Save yourself the disappointment and find a different place to eat.

I ordered the mix grill for 2 people and the Goresh Sabzi. The mix grill was very tasty, the chicken in particular was great and definitely recommended! The Goresh Sabzi was a bit disappointing and the saffron rice was tasty. The restaurant looked cozy and I was helped quickly. I will definitely eat there once.

Tonight, we went to the restaurant. Firstly, the service for taking orders was not good at all. Later, when they brought the food ( barg kebab), the smell was extremely unpleasant, and the food quality was below zero. We mentioned that the quality is not good, but they ignored it. After an hour, the restaurant manager came to our table with irritation and rudeness, saying our kebab is excellent, and your opinion doesn't matter. Had a super delicious meal at this amazing restaurant last night. We have been coming here for years and we always leave super satisfied! We were sorry that almost all desserts were out of stock. We only had a choice of two types of desserts. Everything else was perfect and the atmosphere was very pleasant 🎉

The food is great! I loved it. The live music was extremely LOUD! We were just trying to eat quickly and leave the place. I asked if they can make it a bit softer or let us seat somewhere else. If I go again, I will go on a day without live music

There is hookah inside the restaurant and restrooms are unsanitary. But the worst aspect about it is the owner. He is an undignified and creepy man who cusses at his employees and customers and insults them and often goes as far as not paying them. He exploits his workers and specifically targets vulnerable people to hire. He is also very violent and loses his temper and had attempted to attack his employees.

Here I would like to point out the personal identity of the restaurant owner and his poor mouth management. The owner of this restaurant is very rude and has a big mouth. I know it is my duty to say that the owner of this restaurant is very bad and disrespectful and it is a waste of money to go there because the presence of this gentleman will not leave you a pleasant memory of your meal and night.

Food quality was good but there’s a lot of hookah and place is stuffed with hookah smoke. I also have heard through grapevine that the owner is abusive and violent person and exploits and abuse the workers that are in vulnerable situations. It’s not worth it avoid this place

Food was delicious, super good and nice service and it was as if the food came from heaven, really divine, highly recommended
