A nice place outside the crowd center of Amsterdam, with a lovely terrasse. You can brunch all day or come for diner with some classic French dishes. Hardly recommended some eggs Benedict and coffee's great !

I really liked the breakfast! Delicious dishes, aromatic coffee, friendly staff and a cozy atmosphere. The establishment is located next to the park, so after breakfast you can take a nice walk. If you are looking for a place to have a delicious breakfast, drink quality coffee and relax in a comfortable atmosphere - I definitely recommend it!

During our stay in Amsterdam, we stopped by twice, and both times it was excellent. The terrace is lovely, the service is superb, and everything was delicious, especially the coffee and croissants. Highly recommended!

I went out to dinner with my wife for our anniversary. It was quiet; we had ordered a starter and a main course. After I finished my starter, I was immediately told that the main course would be coming soon, even though my wife wasn't finished yet. When I asked why we were getting our main course immediately, they couldn't give an answer. We didn't want a main course yet, but the communication was very poor and we didn't feel like they cared, so we left after the starter. Can anyone respond to this? If it were the other way around as a couple, how would you (waitress/chef) feel?

Food is awful for the price, poached eggs are over boiled, the hollandaise sauce tastes bad.. Matcha is really bad as well (it should not be brown..). Coffee is okay. Staff is awesome!

The food was very mediocre, and portions were extremely small. The prices were okay but the food was bland and nothing special. My friend ordered pancakes which was overly sweet and my brioche didn't have any parmesan and there was nothing on the side which i found weird. Drinks were good but would definitely not recommend the food. The atmosphere and service were nice. a

Clément gave us a very warm welcome, even though 49 shivering and hungry high school students arrived. He kept his smile and handled the service professionally. An excellent choice for a group, but also for a family outing or a meal with friends. Tasteful decor. A great place to eat.

Today, April 2nd, my husband, my two children, and I went for breakfast, as we do every day of our trip. Upon arriving, my husband asked for a cake. When we sat down, the waitress (a brunette with long hair) brought him the cake he had NOT ordered. We told her no, we had ordered it, and she got angry and was very rude. We got up and left. We won't be back. The rest of the staff were very pleasant and polite.

I love this place, the staff is warm and welcoming, food is soul fulfilling and sometimes I also get to pet the star of this cafe - Lou. It’s one of the places in the neighborhood which makes you feel home.

On a Monday afternoon, we were able to sit here without a reservation. The staff welcomed us warmly and quickly took our order. There's plenty to choose from, both in terms of food and drinks. We chose the scrambled eggs with cheese, and they were delicious; a generous portion. The pancakes were also delicious, but I would have preferred the maple syrup served separately instead of on the pancakes, as it dries out quickly. Also, some of the berries were spoiled. I would definitely return to try something different.

Enjoyed a delicious lunch at cozy tables. They have a great menu with many options and variations for both lunch and drinks. They have good, thick smoothies and delicious fresh sweet potato fries. The chicken on the club sandwich was a bit dry, but overall, it was a delicious meal. The burger was cooked thoroughly without any issues due to my pregnancy. All in all, the staff was super helpful and friendly. The vegan and gluten-free brownie was also delicious, and enough for two to share!

The French lady who works here was very rude and uninterested. For me this does not feel like the Amsterdam standard… Luckily the food was fine.

A beautiful place, it's always delicious here, and I come here more often than other places 👍🏻 What I really like is that you can order very quickly and the food is also delivered quickly. The coffee is always good, and the burgers are juicy and well-prepared. What I don't like: the tableware is beautiful and vintage, but is sometimes served with damaged edges or chips. That's a shame and detracts somewhat from the experience. Today I also received an orange juice that was diluted with water. I was told the machine does this automatically, but I know it squeezes the juice and adds water. I would like to see the quality of the drinks better reflect the level of service. Overall, it's a nice place, but there are a few areas that could be improved.

Terrible. If you like microwave-heated meals, eat here! Literally everything comes straight from the freezer. Carpaccio swimming in its own juices (thawed in the microwave or something). Steak is sour; they forgot to microwave the herb butter (it didn't even melt on the steak). All in all, sorry, but inedible. You're on your own, but be warned!

Cozy place with delicious food. The prices are very reasonable by Amsterdam standards. It's very close to Carré, so it's perfect for watching a show.

Cozy little restaurant close to the Carre, perfect for a quick dinner, nothing fancy. English speaking service and well attended. I got a iomy Boef Bourguignon full of vegetables and the rest went for hamburgers (they were not delighted :0) I loved how comfortabel it was. Thanks!

Very nice atmosphere and very kind service. The drinks (matcha latte) were delicious! But the food was a real disappointment. Most of all the fact that we ordered eggs benedict, which according to their catalogue came with Hollandaise sauce! This was certainly not Hollandaise, but mayonnaise and not even hand made! Also the gluten free bread wasn’t fresh enough and the general meal lacked seasoning. In general a quite disappointing experience as far as food is concerned.

It's really great here! The atmosphere is fantastic and so is the food! We were very pleased with how quickly we were served, and even when a large group wanted to order, they asked if we wanted to order earlier, otherwise we'd have to wait longer. Fantastic!

Nice, cozy place, but the acoustics could use some improvement. The food was delicious, but it didn't seem like much, just enough to fill your stomach. Could be a bit more. Staff were sometimes intermittent. Sometimes it was difficult to find someone to pass on something or to ask questions in between. It would be a win-win situation. I haven't personally experienced any bad reviews.

Bistro atmosphere. They've done a great job with the interior and tableware; it's also a feast for the eyes. Cozy, small, and inviting. Extensive menu with plenty of vegetarian options. Lunch was fine: not exceptional, but certainly not bad.

Unfortunately this place was not for us. We left here feeling very confused regarding why it is we just spent 84€ for below grade food. Service and atmosphere were exceptable, but the preparation of the vegan items are in need of great improvements.

How disgusting it is for a dog to stay in a restaurant. It's wandering around among the guests. It's incredibly unsanitary. The dog gets picked up by staff, and their hands aren't washed. Never again!

Very sad experience calling the restaurant to ask the Chef about the possibility to accomodate dietary restrictions. The waiter responded arrogantly, eventually asked the Chef. I could hear everything and understand French (they obviously did not realize that): the waiter said “there is this annoying person who cannot eat anything…”, and the Chef replied sighing “pfff well tell her to stay home”. I found this attitude and remarks unprofessional and inappropriate - Kitchen and horeca experts understand that people deal with health issue when inquiring about restrictions. The lack of empathy and of professionalism as well as the outspoken arrogance is a shame for the profession and community they represent, and it should be known to other customers.

This place was outstanding. Not only was the food and service of a great quality, but my friend and I arrived late and they were happy to stay open well past their advertised closure time, in order to gratify their guests. Strong recommendation.

The restaurant is average. The food is more or less okay, but the staff is awful. If you have nowhere else to go, this is the place to go. I hope it works out.

Lovely restaurant with soul and delicious food

We were at the Portuguese Synagogue and were looking for a place for lunch. I had the Chicken Club, on Gluten Free bread, which was very good. My wife had the Caesar Salad with chicken, which came with Avocado. She liked that as well. We had an order of Fries that were fresh and tasty.

We had breakfast at Petit Lou’s and everything was great! The service was warm and friendly. We ordered petit déjeuner and it was 10/10. The music and aesthetics were perfect as well!

The sandwiches aren't generously filled, which is understandable for the price. I had to wait a really long time for my food and drinks. The staff is friendly, but not always attentive.

Warning: my girlfriend and I got food poisoning there this afternoon. We thought the lunch wasn't that great; the gravy tasted a bit strangely watery, and we both had poached eggs that were already cold and sour avocado goo on our sandwiches. We were even discussing it during lunch: gosh, they must have already prepared parts of our lunch yesterday. After our museum visit, we cycled past it again, and I popped in to report that I'd had diarrhea and suspected the food. The bar staff was friendly, but reacted a bit laconic and didn't seem particularly interested. Just as we got home, it started happening to my girlfriend too.

Visited for a band performance and jazz jam on Sunday night I started with a Kombucha made in Holland and a tartine with what seemed to be basil, tomato and cheese… DELICIOUS and a fair size I was torn between the sea bass and duck confit. I went with the duck and was not disappointed, the vegetables and mushrooms served with it were great and plenty. The fat was delicious and seemed a bit sweet, it was wonderful For dessert was a pink chai latte (beetroot makes pink) and a blueberry cheesecake for dessert. Cheesecake graham base was incredible along with everything else Highly recommended, especially if they have music playing

A nice, well-organized menu. Perfect before our visit to Carre (which is a 5-minute walk from here). My partner's chicken burger was okay. The sauce with the fries was quite spicy. As usual, I ordered a Caesar salad. "With chicken" is an option. The chicken was also well-seasoned. No regrets. We enjoyed ginger beer and cider with it; also good choices. The service was also good.

It's not the first time I've been there and I've been served by a very unfriendly guy at the cashier's desk. It is very uncomfortable to go to the place and have him act like he hates everyone.

It's quite unusual and impractical that takeaway coffees are served in lidless cups and even without sleeves. Not the most thoughtful design for on-the-go drinks.
