The Best pho bo i ever had! And home made ice tea is also delicious, but was too small, too much ice in the cup and very small amount of ice tea.

We came here for Pho. While being a tourist. The food was very average. The broth of the pho was very blend i wish a bit more depth like with fish sauce or something. The ginger were sliced and not fully incorporated. Service was decent. Though I wish they had cleaner system for spoons and forks and some glasses were worn too much and had residue on them. Atmosphere was not bad. Near a good section of the city. You can see the area pretty good.

This place has an amazing authentic pho. The flavor is rich and the broth is piping hot coming out, just how we like it to be! But portion wise its not great for what you get. Its not reasonable with the price with the ingredients, you get of everything a little portion of it. Even the home made ice tea is in a tiny glass with lots of ice, barely 4 sips! The price feels like a scam.

It's too expensive for the portion size and taste. 16 euros. It's nice that they give the cilantro separately, but everything is just average...

I've been to pretty much every single pho place in amsterdam and this place is by far the best one. the sliced beef pho is a must try with its delicious broth and perfectly cooked noodles. its very authenticly vietnamese and thats always good! the people working there are very nice and are very excellent waiters and hosts. and even the non pho dishes are amazing as ive been here a few times now and tried many dishes. I bike from far every time to get the pho here so i would say visit the place its so good. And their chopsticks dispensers are very convenient!

If you are looking for that typical taste of a hidden alleyway in Vietnam, Pho Le in Amsterdam is the real deal. The broth is bold, insanely aromatic, and has a strong peppery profile. Although I would have preferred just a tad less black pepper to give the other spices a bit more room, the base is rock solid. The meat immediately brings to mind the quality you get at local stalls in Vietnam: pure and full of character. If I may offer a point of criticism: I missed a bit more of that slow-stewed braised meat, which gave the broth that meaty and fatty character. To truly elevate it to perfection, I would have liked a substantial bone in it for some old-fashioned gnawing. That would make the experience truly complete.

Very delicious Pho Ga! Good portion, lots of chicken and authentic atmosphere. We enjoy pho in every country we visit after travelling through Vietnam and falling in love with the food and culture. It is nice to try all the different spots and compare it to our time in Viet. We would definitely return here and recommend to friends for the authenticity ❤️

Be careful they do not honor their business hours and open only when they feel like it. Myself and several others stood outside at 12:15 and they just looked at us with the doors locked until we left

The food was delicious... but... I had to wait 50 minutes for my soup. It wasn't nice to have to wait that long with young children. The reason: "the chicken is gone," for another dish we had ordered. I was also told that the waiter hadn't been properly trained yet. Incidentally, this waiter didn't speak Dutch, but something resembling English; very broken and sometimes almost incomprehensible. The last star is awarded because of the sincere apologies and the discount. But they lose this star because all our clothes smelled of the kitchen. Apparently, there's a faulty ventilation system for cooking odors.

Came on a cold evening for a good fix of Pho. Have to say that the Special beef pho (complete) was heaven. The soup was hearty and tasted rich. The shrimp summer rolls were also delicious. For those staying nearby such as us , this Vietnamese restaurant is definitely a must go .

Let’s be honest. When you are reading reviews for Vietnamese food, the voices you should lean on are the Asian diners who grew up with the cuisine. I live in New York and grew up in Australia, and anyone who knows Australian Vietnamese food knows it is second only to Vietnam itself. The United States has a handful of excellent spots scattered across the country, but they are rare, and New York in particular is a Vietnamese food wasteland with only a couple of places that even come close. By day three in Europe the craving for Asian food usually hits, and for most of us that craving is Pho. My hotel was a short walk from Pho Hanoi and the moment I saw that it is owned and operated by Vietnamese people I stopped searching. That is the universal green light. I came for a bowl of pho and it was so comforting and authentic that I returned again the next day. My go to order at any pho shop is the Pho Dac Biet, the full combination bowl with multiple cuts of beef and beef balls. This version does not include tripe, but considering we are in Amsterdam that is forgivable. The broth follows the lighter northern style which I personally prefer, clean and aromatic with a steady depth that comes from proper long simmering rather than shortcuts. Most importantly they use fresh rice noodles with that silky texture that dried noodles can never replicate. The fresh summer rolls are made to order and tightly wrapped with good structure and balance. The Vietnamese coffee with condensed milk was strong and exactly what I needed. The space also has WiFi and wall outlets which is a blessing for anyone traveling. This place is an absolute oasis. It hits all the essentials of proper Vietnamese cooking and delivers exactly the kind of comfort you want while traveling.

Alright but lack of attention... they just didn't gimme a plate of bean sprouts, chillies, leaves with my pho... Was gonna ask but then the waitress sat down for her dinner. Summer rolls ain't as good as what I have at home 😅

Amazing food: fresh summer rolls and Pho.

Came here earlier today for the first time and was blown away by the fantastic service - friendly, fast and the food was made fresh! I had the Chicken Summer Rolls for only €7, which is very well priced for the Central area of the city. The meal was light, beautifully balanced and served with a delicious chilli vinaigrette. I can’t wait to come back and try other options on their menu. Thank you so much to the whole Pho Hanoi team!

Very small Café just around the corner from the Anne Frank house... Very nice Bahn mi, took a little while for the food - because the chicken and pork were freshly cooked, and was lovely - so the wait was well worth it.. 👌🏼

El café helado vietnamita, sin embargo, no era café vietnamita. Se nota desde el principio por el color claro que se veía. Era sólo un café normal con leche condensada, y por alguna razón también había azúcar. La leche condensada ya es un edulcorante, no se supone que agregues azúcar. Great food and also a good choice if you need to eat gluten free, dairy free and vegetarian. My son has a nice Bahn Mi and I had a lovely stir fried tofu with rice noodles.

I found it on the internet and went to taste vietnamese food for first time and love it! The place is small but quality is great, as well portions were well served. Service works better some days, other not that much, but no big issues. Definitely recommend and will be back soon!

The spring rolls are okay (summer rolls are raw spring rolls), the shrimps are cut in half, and the spring roll dipping sauce is peanut butter instead of fish sauce, which is a bit disappointing The soup of the beef slices pho is thick and turbid, and the taste is good, but the meat slices are a bit hard. Fortunately, they are sliced ​​so they are not hard to bite. Ice tea is very sweet, even adding lemon still doesn't help, the sweetness is a bit scary

Oh this place is a good one! Been here when I visited Amsterdam and got hungry...One of the best choices I made! Though it's lacking aesthetic appealing, this place is amazing! I have tried the Beef Pho which came to my surprise as a huge portion alongside with chillies, lemons and coriander....It's one of those places in which the food makes you feel like home and the cozy atmosphere is nonetheless there! Great place with very friendly and honest staff! Would truly recommend this gem to anyone!

It was simply delicious. They make everything on the spot so you'll have to wait a little for yor order to arrive but no pre-made deep freezed food to be found here. Also the wait was more then welcome as the whole place smells delicious, very warm in aesthetic and overall really comfortable to sit around.

You call it soup but it’s definitely not Pho. It doesn’t taste or smell like Pho at all. And I ordered combination pho and they gave me beef only pho and charged me the combination. Will not recommend or come back

The chicken pho is very good (very spicy and spicy, to your liking thanks to the bird peppers). On the other hand, the wok noodles did not have any particular taste (had to add sauce available on the table) and not many vegetables (a little expensive as a result) Correct quantities.

Very affordable Vietnamese cuisine that are not only authentic but also delicious. Portion are generous and prices are pocket friendly. Staff are friendly and always with a smile to serve you. Seating might be an issue during peak hours and they did ran out of banh mi when we visited in the late afternoon. Perhaps good to check before hand.

We could hear a microwave being used in the food prep. Pretty sure meat was not cooked fresh, then microwaved and was hard and tasted terrible. Positive reviews seem far from how it is, fake reviews.

Superb Beef Pho. Authentic, well priced and a well run family business.

We arrived one hour before closure time and we were one of the last costumers served (a couple right after us and were rejected by the staff). Because we arrived “late” although there was still one hour before closure, the staff, although always friendly, cut our menu only to the soups and some side dishes. We ordered the soup and side dishes and instantly heard the microwaves turning on so we knew that we would eat reheated food. The side dishes were fried in the moment and were incredible! The soups arrived, as I have never ate Vietnamese food for me it tasted incredible and o was satisfied with the portion and the taste! My friend as he eats often did have complains of the lack of spice and the taste of being reheated! A good place to go, go earlier if you want the full menu but I would advise the restaurant to change the working hours or actually working until the hours they advertise! Service is quite friendly!

The food was really the only good thing in this restaurant, and it was not even that great. The vibe is awkward, with no music and staff apparently forgetting that they are working there. A table of four got up and left due to long waiting times and they didn’t even notice. The staff members are indifferent and bored which made us feel very uncomfortable since we had to remind them to bring us drinks 15 minutes after we ordered, the same happened with the cutlery. Broth was ok, it doesn’t have a deep rich flavour, but the noodles and the veggies were good. I will definitely never come here again.

It was too slow to wait for a simple dish, finally when the food arrived we saw full vegetables and the protein it's a really small portion, the attention from waitress was really slow and little attention to the clients, I dont used to comment bsd reviews bad when its deserve it I must to do it, for the price it doesn't deserve it.

Op de deur een bord 'gesloten'. Bleek toch open te zijn. Sfeerloze en kale inrichting. Door de open verbinding met de keuken, bloedheet. Bediening blijkbaar nieuw en onervaren. Werd volledig aan z'n lot over gelaten. Drie kwartier zitten wachten op het voorgerecht, terwijl anderen, die later binnen kwamen, wel werden bediend. Desgevraagd werd verteld dat het voorgerecht na 5 min. zou komen. Bleek uiteindelijk de verkeerde loempia's te zijn, net ontdooid uit de vriezer. Daarna geen enkele actie vanuit de keuken en/of bediening. Trieste vertoning. Zijn maar vlug vertrokken.

We eat out quite often but haven't even gotten around to eating here. Tables that were occupied AFTER we entered had already finished their food while we received nothing. When I inquired after 40(!) minutes, I was told that it would take another 5 minutes. My husband got his spring roll, which was also filled with shrimp instead of meat. No other food. We paid for the drinks and left. What a drama! Definitely not recommended.

Delicious food!! Superb tofu banh mi!!! I love Vietnamese food. I was craving it after going a month without it in Croatia and had a stop over in Amsterdam. After researching I decided this would be the best option and I was right. It was quite busy when I got there, and was greeted by smiling friendly staff. I ordered a chicken phǒ and tofu banh mi. The soup was delicious- don’t forget to add your preferred herbs and flavours. I like 2 lime slices, extra chilli, all the mint and coriander with a few dots of hoisin and hot sauce. Great portion. I ordered the banh mi to eat for breakfast, but when I got back to my room I thought I should at least try it when fresh- big mistake. I ate the whole thing and regretted not getting 2 right away. The bread was superb- soft and just crusty enough to give a crunch. The tofu was FANTASTIC! Tasty marinade. Do not miss this place!!! Sorry no photos of the banh mi, I couldn’t put it down. ☺️
