Super delicious Vietnamese food!

The owner is very friendly and kind and has so much passion about the food. Price is not expensive in the centrum of Amsterdam. The restaurant is clean and is located on the crowded street, sitting next to the window enjoying the ordinary Vietnamese food and the busy of Amsterdam = 🥰.

This is the best Vietnamese pho I've had in all my years in the Netherlands. The broth is comparable to that of Parisian restaurants.

We came back after the restaurant changed ownership, and wow—what a difference! Everything feels fresh, and the flavors are so much better and more unique now. We had the Beef Pho and Bun Bo Hue, and both were absolutely delicious. The restaurant is cozy and the staff are super friendly. Honestly, every dish on the menu looked amazing, even the desserts and drinks, so definitely be back to try more! 🌟👍🏻👍🏻

This restaurant is really good, everyone! The staff are friendly. Eating here makes me feel like I'm back home; the food truly tastes like authentic Vietnamese cuisine. The restaurant is very close to the train station, only about 10 minutes. The food came out quickly, the restaurant was cozy and clean. It's a bit small, so it's better to make a reservation beforehand.

The broth of the vegan pho was my favorite out of the many places I tried. The texture of the tofu was not my favorite, yet still good. Overall I loved it and the staff were super welcoming. I'd certainly come back for the pho!

This is my favorite place to hang out with friends. We've tried so many dishes like pho, bun bo Hue (Hue-style beef noodle soup), and snacks, and everything was great. There are two very handsome and friendly staff members. I will definitely come back. Amazing good job! ❤️❤️❤️❤️

this food was incredible and ill definitely come back next year i come to Amsterdam every year and the food was amazing definitely the best Vietnamese iced coffee I’ve ever had. The lady was so lovely she gave me a hug at the end made my experience here even better and ill add this on my list to come back to.

Disappointed ☹️ The noodles were overcooked and falling apart, and the beef was overcooked as well. Portions were very small, and the dishes looked quite different from the menu photos. The toilet was clean, but overall the food was overpriced for the quality and quantity provided

I had a Banh Xeo at Pho Ba Nam and it was really delicious tbh, i was so super full, the staff are really friendly :) , its will be always my favourite spot next time when im in Amsterdam ❤️❤️

Excellent food, perfectly balanced, and the meat cooked and seasoned to perfection. Everything was perfect.

We were greeted very warmly when we entered, and the service throughout the evening was excellent and fast. The pho was absolutely delicious, and you can really tell they are skilled at what they do. The atmosphere was calm and relaxing, with soft background music and sound-reducing walls that separate you from the noisy streets of Amsterdam. It’s a small place, but very good. One of the best Vietnamese restaurants my wife and I have visited. The broth for the pho had a clear viscosity to it and tasted delicious. The char sui pork bean mi was hearty and filling. The homemade ice tea tasted very natural. Thousand times better then the pho resteraunt in Paris.

The name has now been changed to Pho Ba Nam. The taste is excellent. It tastes like Southern Vietnamese pho, but it isn't sweet and is really delicious. The restroom is also clean and nice.

I recently tried the Phở here and was thoroughly impressed. • The Broth: Very clean, fragrant, and well-balanced. You can tell it’s been simmered for hours. • Toppings: The ingredients are incredibly fresh. The chili adds a perfect kick, and the herbs are bright and aromatic. • Portion: Great value for the price. If you’re looking for an authentic taste of Vietnam, this is the spot. I visited this restaurant on April 11 during my trip to Amsterdam. Even though it’s been almost two weeks, I still felt the need to come back and leave a review because the food was genuinely so good and absolutely worth recommending. The flavors are very close to authentic Vietnamese cuisine, with a slight adjustment to suit international tastes while still keeping the original essence. The food quality was excellent, and the atmosphere was warm, cozy, and welcoming. There aren’t many Vietnamese restaurants in Amsterdam, so my group of six just picked this place randomly but it completely exceeded our expectations. One of the highlights was the owner, who was not only incredibly kind and welcoming but also very beautiful and charming. She even treated us to “bánh cam” (Vietnamese sesame balls), which is a traditional Vietnamese snack that’s not very common abroad. You definitely have to try it, it’s absolutely delicious! The staff were also very friendly and attentive. Highly recommend if you’re looking for great Vietnamese food in Amsterdam!

I ordered the chef's special beef pho and a homemade iced tea. The pho soup was quite good, flavorful but not too salty. It contained beef slices and meatballs, but the taste was average; I couldn't really taste the beef. However, it was a very large bowl, a generous portion. The pho came with a plate of bean sprouts, cilantro, chili, and lemon that you could add to the noodles. The iced tea was rather disappointing. From the photo, I thought it was longan tea 😅, but it turned out to be tea with a ton of ice cubes, tasting more like herbal tea.

The best bahn mi of Amsterdam! For 5th time here and I will return more times ! I am always forgetting to take a picture before bite cause is so tasty 😋

I visited twice for their authentic Vietnamese pho and rice. The beef rice which comes with a spring roll is highly recommended. The soup of the noodles (pho) is awesome. Staff are very welcoming and friendly. Price is reasonable.

Lovely mom&pop shop kinda vibe. The food is good, the place looks nice and the staff is friendly. The prices are a tad on higher side than what I’m used to in Amsterdam. But it’s a good spot. Can really recommend it.

Really really delicious food and lovely staff!

The pho and gỏi cuốn were clearly made with care, and the broth was tasty and satisfying. The pho was very good overall, although the noodles were just slightly overcooked. The sauces were the only thing that felt a little underwhelming, both in depth of flavor and in quantity, they could use a bit more punch. Still, this is a solid spot and definitely worth a visit if you're craving a good bowl of pho in Amsterdam.

Large portions. Little flavor. Very sweet and attentive service. Cramped, small space; you sit so close to your neighbors that it becomes (almost) uncomfortable. Pho was simply way too salty. The taste was so bland that there were presumably no or far too few spices in it; you tasted only beef and salt. There was a huge amount of noodles stuck together floating in both portions (and at the neighboring tables, by the looks of it). I noticed that other visitors also had trouble finishing their pho; many plates remained half-full. Summer rolls were tasty and large with a crispy part in the middle (a nice touch!), but the accompanying satay sauce was tasteless. Vietnamese cuisine is famous for refined flavors and special spices, but this was nowhere to be found in our food.

They have changed to new owner and food got much better! Good variaties, good service and cozy seating. My favourite dish is Bun Bo here! A must try their coffee too! Love everything there!

Had another delicious meal today! I’m a regular here and it never disappoints. I really love the menu with pictures—it makes choosing so much easier! The Pho (number 22) is amazing; the broth is flavorful and authentic. Also, the bapao, spring rolls, and homemade iced tea are absolute must-tries. The staff is very friendly and the service is incredibly fast. It’s a cozy spot, yet very comfortable to sit in. It is especially nice for a cozy dinner with a small group. A true gem on the Haarlemmerdijk!

I ordered iced tea (€4.95) + beef mixed rice noodles (€19). The rice noodles had meatballs and various beef slices in them. The portion was generous and the soup was delicious. However, the soup wasn't very hot the day I ate there, and it was super cold outside, which was a bit of a shame.

Definitely the best pho in Amsterdam, i’ve ordered pho tai - they serve raw beef slices separately and you can put it yourself to hot soup, it’s just amazing, perfect portion size, perfectly balanced flavor, soup is very rich. The soup was really warm and delicious. If you're visiting in the winter, be sure to visit... The staff were also very friendly. I was a little shy when I asked to recharge my phone, but they readily did. The seats were comfortable, too!

Best pho that I’ve had. I had the chef special beef pho. Tray of condiments placed at every table is great to adjust the flavour to your taste. I added chilli crisp after the photo which was perfect. Prawn rolls were also great. The restaurant makes its own iced tea, which usually I am not super crazy about, but I really loved the iced tea here. Staff were very friendly, attentive to help when needed, and were quick to look after their guests with simple things like rushing to close the door tight on the cold evening I was there.

I came here with my parents two evenings in a row because we couldn’t get enough of the delicious food. We are Viet-American and are always looking to try Vietnamese restaurants. Authentic dishes, flavorful, and such lovely staff. My dad ordered the Pho Dac Biet and my mom and I each ordered the com thit heo both days. The broth is flavorful. The meat was well-marinated and the egg roll was crunchy and delicious. The iced coffee is one of the best I have ever had. I’ve been here when it was under previous name & management and enjoyed it better then. This trip I had the pho, my kids had the pork chops and something with a crepe. The food portions are small, very very light on the meat, and timing of food came out at different times. The crepe dish came out 10-15 minutes after the pho. The pork vermicelli noodle bowl was mainly lettuce. I did not enjoy the food, it was overpriced and I will never come here again.

We were hungry after a long stroll in Amsterdam and came across this place. Nice pho in general. I’d be super happy if the broth was even stronger. But tastes nice and warming on a cold day. Maybe next time we get to try the other dishes.

Best Vietnamese restaurant in Amsterdam!!! Both waiters were very kind and always attentive to us having a good experience. The Pho Bo was delicious, and kept me warm for many hours after in the cold autumn Amsterdam. It was very nice that they placed the soja sprouts on the side, and not inside the soup (good precaution for people with allergies).
