We were sitting in the smell of all-purpose cleaner, surrounded by LED lights. Our real plus was the kind gentleman who was there and helped us. He was lovely. The pizza was tough, tasteless, and undercooked. (Salami/cheese pizza) A simple and cheap decoration for the place. Perhaps just starting out? Good luck. There's plenty of room for improvement.

The food was good, the atmosphere, decoration of the place, cleaning and service could be a lot better.

Had a delicious meal at this grill last night. The food was perfectly prepared and served. The price/quality ratio is excellent. Definitely recommended.

Ordered online and delivered promptly. Fantastically delicious pizzas, highly recommended. It's been a while. ......... This used to be a great pizzeria........ Picked up pizzas again today, and there's not much left of the old quality. A new pizza maker and now the pizzas are downright poorly topped. Dry chicken pieces, and one of the pizzas wasn't topped properly, not as it was on the order form. It even looked like there was something on it that wasn't quite fresh; it even looked like it had gone bad. Also, they only accepted cash; card payments weren't working for a while. The restaurant was freezing cold, and there was an uneasy, somewhat chemical smell. A shame, but I've lost a regular customer.

If I could, I'd give it 0 stars. Ordered online for pickup. When we arrived, we still had to wait an hour and a half. One dish was completely forgotten, so we waited again. After two hours, we finally got our food. But it was the wrong pizza, and the €14 doner kebab plate didn't come with salad or sauce. I ordered fries with nuggets twice. Honestly, the nuggets had maybe five fries. It was very, very disappointing! And unfortunately, not tasty at all. A real shame.

A new owner took over at the beginning of March this year. The food was delicious. We had kapsalon and a chicken dish; you can choose between fries or baked potatoes. I highly recommend eating there.

Absolutely delicious food for an amazing price. Ordered for pick-up and food was exactly on time. Staff were friendly and there was a great energy to the place. Pizza was delicious and a big portion, chicken was great too. Will be ordering again.

Ordered food online and paid for it. When I picked it up, I was told that they were closed and had forgotten to turn off the webshop. This was extremely disappointing. I wanted my money back immediately, but that was not possible. A few days later I did receive the money in my account, but I will never come back here.

Good, large pizzas, friendly service. The old bad reviews are no longer understandable. Apparently, there's a new owner, and the quality and value for money were very good.

Ordered pizza veggie and pasta veggie. Fast service, good help and everything was ready super fast as agreed. The pizza and pasta were fine. It was not the best pizza or pasta I have ever eaten, the Italian herb mix was good to taste. But all in all completely fine and tasty food. 😊

New owner is still starting up, but already makes super pizzas. With fresh homemade pizza dough/bases. You can taste the difference if you are used to wholesale bases. Very nice service and excellent price-quality ratio.

We get pizzas here twice a year on vacation and with the previous owner the quality was not that great anymore.. But now with the new owner we got it again and what a difference!!!! More choice and the quality of the food is really great 👍 highly recommended

After a long time ordered something from "the new" owner again. A complete dish with everything on it and delicious taste, fried chicken, onion rings delicious. Had a great meal tonight. Very good pasta carbonara. Large portion. We also got warm bread with herb butter from the house and fresh watermelon for dessert. Highly recommended!

Met open met nieuwe eigenaren. We waren de enige gasten. Ze hadden nog geen fysieke kaart. Online gekeken en bestelt. Daar gegeten. Drank werd zonder glas geserveerd. Eten: salade en hoofdgerecht waren prima en ruim voldoende. Werden gelukkig tegelijk geserveerd. Salade was zó groot, dat er van het hoofd gerecht een en ander overbleef wat we mee konden krijgen.

Here, the guest is king. Our every wish was fulfilled with great joy and enthusiasm. There were great meat and pasta dishes that were truly filling. There were also super-large pizzas, which were also the tastiest we've had in a long time. All in all, a top-notch restaurant visit!

We're here right now on May 17, 2025, and without having eaten, we have to say that the service is exceptional, and the staff, and the chef, are so friendly that we don't think much can go wrong with the food! Thumbs up!..........and just as an addendum, the pizzas were huge and incredibly delicious! Keep it up!

We waited for our food for almost an hour while we were almost the only ones there. The vegetables on the pizza were still raw. My pasta frutti di mare had a very boring sauce and the shrimp still had their tails attached...no music and no decoration. Friendly server atleast.

I have ordered a number of times since the takeover and the delivery is on time, the pizzas taste great and the new owner contacted me to ask if I had liked it... & that is certainly the case, so I will order more often! ☺️

Pico Bello in Dwingeloo has recently become a true discovery for me. Under the new owner, this pizzeria/shawarma shop has been given a breath of fresh air that you should absolutely experience! The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, and you immediately notice that a lot of attention is paid to both the dishes and customer contact. The menu is varied and offers something for everyone, from tasty pizzas to the tastiest shawarma. The pizzas are truly a delight, according to my wife and children, thin, crispy bases with a perfect balance of fresh ingredients. I had shawarma and it was deliciously juicy and full of flavor, just as it should be. What I found really remarkable is the quality of the meat, which is clearly selected and prepared with care. The new owner has left his mark on the business by not only providing delicious dishes, but also by providing excellent service. The staff are friendly and helpful, which makes the experience even more enjoyable. The speed of service is excellent, allowing you to quickly enjoy your meal, even when it is busy. All in all, Pico Bello in Dwingeloo is a place you don't want to miss. Whether you fancy a quick pizza or an extensive shawarma, this restaurant offers it all in a nice, hospitable environment. Very friendly, just picked up two pizzas. The pizzas were of good size and quality, very tasty. Price/quality is good! Will definitely pick up pizzas here again. They do have to add some plants and maybe some curtains to make the atmosphere a bit better.

Online vanuit vakantiehuis een falafel schotel besteld. Prima bezorging en op tijd. Maar ik kreeg alleen falafel en salade. De aardappelschijfjes en het brood ontbraken. Toen ik belde zei meneer dat ik de volgende keer korting zou krijgen. Maar ik ben hier op vakantie en kom niet meer terug. Heel slechte service. De falafel was wel lekker.

The decoration of the store could be a little more atmospheric, but it looks sleek and slick. Missing some music or something. The food was excellent. We both had a hair salon. Really very good and large portion. Very friendly and great service. Gladly again! Highly recommended!

Sinds kort een nieuwe eigenaar op Piccobello in Dwingeloo. Klantvriendelijk en kwaliteit van de gerechten is beduidend beter geworden. Lekkere pizza's, heerlijke burgers en shoarma en döner ook van goede kwaliteit. Je merkt aan alles dat het eten met zorg wordt bereid. Tomatensaus van pizzas is beter dan bij menig Italiaanse pizzeria!

Just picked up 2 pizzas and a potato slice. My honest review! Delicious potato slices, which were eaten on the return trip!! 1 pineapple pizza: Very tasty and richly topped. TOP! 1 pizza 4 formaggi: this pizza was also delicious and richly topped. TOP! Conclusion: Much better than what I picked up last time. clearly different owners! Atmosphere: this could have been a bit better. it was silent. There was one more person waiting for her pizza. Tip: put on some music or the radio :) Time: Pick up time was 7:15 PM. I walked out the door at 7:22 PM. 7 minutes; this is just okay! 100% better than the previous owners.

Got a pizza, it was the worst pizza ever, barely any toppings on it. 5 shrimps, salmon hard to find, tuna a little more available, the extra gorgonzola barely found, even the tomato sauce on it had a bad taste. Waste of money, never again! 11/26/24

Delicious food and a very hospitable welcome!

Very bad tent. Ordered a pizza and a döner dish to take away. Pizza was very bad and sparsely topped, did not taste fresh, the base was tough and in my opinion very salty. Döner dish consisted of 75% fried potatoes (there were no fries), a little bit of meat and a small pot of sauce. Tasteless and monotonous dish, it also tasted anything but fresh. The restaurant also seemed dingy and did not smell fresh. ATM was broken so cash only. Not often have I had such a bad experience with takeout. The only bright spot was that the food was ready very quickly (I think due to little customer traffic this evening).

Food is not according to the description in menu. They served me donor without bread or anything solid. Just chicken, patat and sauce at the name of donor. Won't recommend this place to anyone.

Prima eten, bezorgingstijd klopt helaas nooit. Ben altijd ruim 1.5 uur aan het wachten op mijn bestelling, ookal geeft de volging aan er al een half uur "bijna" te zijn.

We are real pizza lovers, but we will certainly not return to this pizzeria. There was a strange aftertaste to one of the pizzas and the toppings were sparse. The strangest thing was that we couldn't order wine and a beer...! Maybe no alcohol license? We asked about it and then we got a very confusing story. Communication was also difficult, Dutch was spoken poorly. Communication was in broken German.

looks nice but that's about it. Only a non-alcoholic beer available can Schultenbrouw Radler beer from Aldi. Wife had a Hawaiian pizza, except for the pineapple, the bottom was like cardboard ham, there was no taste in the tomato sauce, there was no taste, at least a little cheese, so not good. 12.50 was a waste of money. Husband had pizza with ham, salami, gorgonzola and olives and asked for some extra anchovies. bottom cardboard ham and salami tasteless gorgonzola 2 small pieces of tomato sauce also tasteless thank God for the anchovies only 5 tiny pieces but that was the only thing that tasted cost 15.50 plus 2.00 for the anchovies. a can of Aldi beer and Aldi iced tea cost 7.50 When asked at checkout if I had enjoyed it, I gave an honest answer: I had a 3 euro discount. It makes no sense at all. Pizzeria Picobello does not live up to its name. so people, this pizzeria is competing for the title of the worst pizzeria in the Netherlands, if they go to Aldi for their drinks, they better also get the pizzas there, there is more flavor

We geven restaurant Piccobello een magere 7. We hebben betere pizza’s gegeten. Helaas kon er ook geen wijntje of een biertje besteld worden en de bediening spreekt matig tot slecht Nederlands. De bedoeling zijn goed maar er valt nog veel te verbeteren bij Piccobello.

Bad operation. menu remained on the table outside us. drinks were only served with pizza. pizza was not richly topped. no napkin with the cutlery. the calzone was nice and warm. card payments were suddenly not possible.

Kom er ongeveer 10 jaar. Je kunt er niet meer pinnen. Wordt gevraagd cash af te rekenen. Terwijl op de Pc staat dat je digitaal kunt betalen. In het verleden werkten er meerdere medewerkers. Nu slechts 1 die slecht Nederlands spreekt. De kwaliteit van het eten is slecht. Te weinig vulling op de pizza en bij het overhandigen van de pizza wordt de saus vergeten. In het restaurant tref ik geen mensen die er eten de laatste maanden. Het is altijd de moeite waard in Dwingeloo maar niet bij Pizzeria Picobello

The ordered carbonara special and frutti di mare could also have passed for onion pizzas. Lots of onions with a stray piece of meat or fish here and there. The fish pizza was ordered without anchovies, but these were also hidden here and there among the onions. I won't comment on the doner special. By the way, the bottom was still doable, now the rest remains to be done. No Pico Bello but Spazzatura Sporca. This week again in Dwingeloo. Ordered 3 pizzas and they were delicious! Good topping, tasty base, enough of everything. Good service and real napkins. We drove to Beilen for it, but still Pico Bello 👍🏻

There was hardly any döner or lettuce to be seen on the lahmacun, and I also paid an extra 1.50 for cheese that was not served.

We arrived quite early, it was still cold inside. But the window was immediately closed and the heating was turned on. Drinks were own brand from Ah and Aldi Starter: baguette (which was not a baguette) cheese salami with herb butter was fine. We thought Pizza Pico Bello Speciale was tasteless, sparsely topped and the chicken was dry. There was 1 person and it worked quickly. It was also funny that instead of napkins, a box of tissues was placed.

Nog nooit zo een slechte zaak gezien en nog nooit zo slecht gegeten. Lasagne was echt verschrikkelijk vies, er zou gehakt in moeten zitten maar ik weet niet wat ik heb geproefd maar het was absoluut geen gehakt. Ook de spaghetti met zalm was vreselijk, geen zalm gezien of geproefd. Echt het was verschrikkelijk smerig. Drinken uit een blikje.....maar in plaats van 30 euro moesten we 20 betalen omdat ik gewoon zei dat het eten verschrikkelijk was. Ik had liever gewoon lekker gegeten....

Terrible pizzas. Barely anything on the pizza.

Een rustig zaakje waar je zowel Italiaans als shoarma kan bestellen. De pizza was lekker krokant. En de spaghetti mocht van mij iets meer al dente mogen zijn. Maar de carbonara was heerlijk.

On the website and from the street it seemed like a cozy restaurant with a good menu. But nothing could be further from the truth. From arrival to departure it was one big tragicomedy! We had a good laugh at the sad pathos of this little restaurant. The interior is a complete mess. The walls and ceilings were still OK, they were still reasonably up to date, but the furniture was a shame: worn out chairs (which were actually quite comfortable despite the loose upholstery) and every table covered with a bright blue waterfall. It hurt my eyes. Within half a minute we discovered that the tables and chairs were actually only occupied by people waiting for their takeaway order. We were looked at with pity by the waiting customers that we were seriously planning to eat on the spot. We wore our coats zipped up for the entire visit, because it was just as cold inside as outside. The whole place was run that evening by one friendly gentleman, but Dutch was clearly not his native language, so communication faltered here and there. For example, 'Rivella' was understood as 'River Lemon'. Indeed, we got a can from Aldi... When one of us wanted to go to the toilet, the entire toilet block was unlit. Fortunately, at our request, the light was switched on from behind the counter, so that it was possible to aim into the not very clean toilet bowl. Halfway through our visit, the friendly gentleman thought it would be a good idea to brighten up the atmosphere with some music from the loud speakers on his laptop. It was already announced on the front of the menu that all prices would be higher than stated on the menu. Given the takeaway nature of this business, you would expect that the pizzas would at least be of good quality. Well... the base was nice and thin, but the toppings were quite sparse. To complete the sadness, both pizzas featured 4 uncut snack tomatoes that had not even been baked. The plates were cold, so we had to struggle to eat with our coats still on to get the pizzas still somewhat lukewarm. We were given a box of perfumed tissues as napkins. Quite difficult to wipe your mouth without getting high from the perfume smell. Then it was time to settle the bill. For two sparsely topped pizzas and two cans of drinks, €30 in total. To complete the sadness, the friendly gentleman informed us that the ATM was broken. But he did know a solution. He leisurely clicked around on his laptop, which served as a music studio, order management system and cash register. Then he suddenly gave me his bank card. With the request to transfer the amount via internet banking to the account number stated on his card. He greeted us with 'see you soon', but we knew one thing for sure: despite this hilarious tragicomic evening, we would not step foot over the threshold again.

We were hungry. That's why you stay put. When we stepped inside, the real lights were turned on. I think it was almost warmer outside than inside. The ordered pizzas were ready quickly. We ordered two completely different pizzas, but we couldn't really detect a difference based on the scant toppings. Instead of napkins, a box of scented tissues was placed. All in all comical actually. But not to go there again. Bad "restaurant"!!!

Highly recommended, delicious pizzas and a very friendly owner. We live in Hoogeveen ourselves, but we like to drive to Dwingeloo to have a quick meal here!

Delicious food today, will definitely come back

Picked up food. Ordered tagliatelle carbonara and pizza pollo. Pick up time at 6:45 PM. When we arrived the order still had to be made. Got spaghetti instead of tagliatelle. It wasn't nice that it wasn't ready and it wasn't busy at all so that couldn't have been the case. Have ordered from here several times now but are still disappointed. Won't order from here again.

Unfortunately we had not read the reviews. But what an atmospheric tent. All windows and doors were open because they have no extraction system. Seats are worn out. Pizzas very thinly topped. We have never had such a bad meal and normally we are quickly satisfied. Staff were friendly. Our Kids liked the food but apparently haven't developed their taste buds yet.

Klein gezellig restaurant, kwamen met een groep van 16 onverwachts eten, uitdaging. Zeer goed gegeten, prijs kwaliteit prima. Je moet wel even goed zoeken maar de moeite waard als je er zit.

Ik zou hier absoluut geen eten bestellen voor bezorging. Wij hebben een redelijk grote bestelling gedaan en we moesten heel lang wachten, terwijl een half uur was beloofd. Nadat we er achteraan hadden gebeld eindelijk de bestelling ontvangen. Helaas, lauw eten en de pizza's waren zeer zuinig belegd. Mijn spinazi pizza bevatte nog geen 3 gram spinazi! Volgende keer lekker ergens anders eten bestellen.

Pizza's met amper beleg. Smaak zat er ook haast niet aan. Kapsalon döner was wel lekker. Alleen jammer dat je zelf moet vragen of de knoflooksaus en de salade er bij zitten, want dat ontbrak natuurlijk

De pizza is prima maar zowel bediening als de beschikbare drankjes kunnen beter!

Dit was de laatste keer. Was altijd goed maar nu voor de 3e keer koude pizza en teveel verbrande randen. 1x kan 2x is misschien pech maar 3x is teveel. Jammer!

Pasta arrabiata en pizza margarita besteld, was precies op tijd klaar en nog een bakje salade erbij gekregen. De pasta was lekker pittig en de portie helemaal goed! De pizza was goed bereid en dat voor nog geen 7 euro!

Heerlijke pizza's gehad. Om 18:30 binnen gekomen mevrouw van de bediening kwam direct met het menu. Drinken besteld vlak daarna kwamen de pizza's. Om 19:00 gingen we weer met volle buiken naar huis😀

2x geweest op vakantie. Ontzettend aardige eigenaar die ons zelfs heeft uitgezwaaid toen we, als laatste gasten die avond, vertrokken. Super lekker en authentiek eten, met liefde bereid. Helaas beperkte keuze in drinken, geen alcoholvrij bier of prikwater, maar de service maakt dat meer dan goed!

Picco Bello is op zijn plaats. We zijn als Hagenaars aardig wat gewend, we hebben meerdere pizzeria's namelijk in ons dorp..., maar heerlijk gegeten hier! Leuke bediening en prima geprijsd. Licht mag iets gedempt voor gasten, maar anders heb ik niets te zeuren 😉 Aanrader.

Nieuwe eigenaar? Andere kaart, maar oké. Pizza's afgehaald. Bodem prima en toppings ook prima van smaak, maar nogal karige topping! Bijna de helft van de pizza miste topping. Salami was alleen met een vergrootglas te ontdekken. Jammer! Smaak verder goed. Meisje achter de kassa vriendelijk en gastvrij. Graag volgende x meer aandacht voor de toppings.
