Super restaurant, lovely atmosphere. Food fantastic. Recommended.

During that fateful shopping spree, a quick pit stop for a G&T and loaded fries with aioli? Yes please! Plus, lovely outside on the terrace, sheltered from the rain, where the passing crowds provide various forms of entertainment.

I ate a very tasty mackerel salad.

The food was very good: I couldn't lift the bones of the spareribs without the meat practically falling off. I was alone, but that wasn't a problem and I could sit at a table of my choice. Service was good, although it was a bit more difficult to get in touch when it got busier and I wanted to pay. It was a hot day and there is no air conditioning as far as I could see or experience. There are fans, though. Overall, I would highly recommend going based on the food alone!

The cooking here is done with love and passion. The presentation of the dishes was also very detailed and well-cared for. This, combined with the friendly service from Inge. She is also very knowledgeable about the ingredients and preparation methods of the kitchen. We enjoyed ourselves and will definitely be back. Highly recommended.

Tables are cleared but not cleaned. Menu cards are so sticky that you don't dare touch them. But the nachos were delicious!!

Well, that was nice. Beautiful location, delicious salad with beef tenderloin tips (highly recommended), good cocktails. And above all, very hospitable and friendly service. Simply highly recommended. I say: go for it.

The restaurant has a beautiful view and a pleasant atmosphere, and the service was good. The cappuccino and latte were decent, but nothing special. Unfortunately, the food was disappointing. The portions were very small considering the high prices, and the dishes were neither filling nor particularly tasty. Overall, I didn’t find the food worth the money, especially for lunch. It simply wasn’t to my taste, and I wouldn’t recommend it if you’re looking for good value for the price.

We ended up here via Social Deal after a day of shopping. Relaxed atmosphere, friendly service, and delicious food! It just took a long time for our main course to arrive. Otherwise, highly recommended!

Unfortunately, my experience at Quignon Kitchen & Bar was mediocre, and I cannot recommend this restaurant. Several things went wrong during our visit. I went here mainly for the ceviche, but it was very disappointing. The fish tasted very fishy and seemed likely to have gone bad, making the dish inedible for me. Additionally, there was a sticker in our carpaccio, which of course should not happen. When we pointed this out and sent the food back, we unfortunately received no apology or understanding. Instead, we received an angry response stating that it was not our intention to send food back. The dessert was tasty in itself, but unfortunately, that did not make up for the disappointing experience. Based on this, I would not recommend this restaurant.

Very good vockingworst, served with crispy pickles and onions. Recommend if you want to try this local favorite.

We had a good meal, we had a Social Deal and there was plenty to eat.

We had a delicious meal, but the food takes a very long time to arrive. We ordered an appetizer (bread board), for which we requested that the main course be prepared immediately. The main course took 55 minutes to arrive. Although drink orders are taken quickly, things are occasionally forgotten to be served. Unfortunately, this is not the first time this has happened; we dine here often because the food is truly excellent. However, the kitchen and service do fall short in some instances. If you have the time and want to enjoy a good meal, I would still wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant!

King's Night was super fun! Lovely staff and a fantastic bouncer who made sure the nice people stayed inside and the annoying crowd stayed outside💯 There was a friendly young man at the restroom keeping a close eye on everything. Very well-deserved 5 stars. 💪🏽🪩🔑

Superb place. We received a very warm welcome in a beautiful setting. We chose two dishes which we thoroughly enjoyed. We highly recommend it.

The food was expensive and I had to wait 45 minutes for a smoked salmon sandwich, while the person I was with received their food after 5 minutes. The smoked salmon sandwich was also very mediocre and not worth the money at all. We sat outside and the chairs were lopsided. The interior was not accessible to disabled people.

At the table by the window, we had a view of the canal. We had a delicious lunch here. Tasty fried eggs and a club sandwich with fresh orange juice. Top notch.

We dined here with a large group during a bachelor party, and it was a great success. The food was delicious, the atmosphere was good, and the staff were friendly and helpful. There was initially a miscommunication regarding the date and time of our reservation, but this was resolved neatly and professionally by the restaurant. They were very helpful and ensured that we could still have a wonderful evening. All in all, a positive experience and definitely recommended for larger groups.

The food was fine. Very long wait times for food (40 minutes) and drinks; the first drink also took 30 minutes! Even though the place wasn't full. The salad with the burger was also very meager. Many empty glasses on the table that they didn't clear away. While waiting, I saw all 4 seasons pass by.

I went to dinner with my wife. I ordered an "uitsmijter" (bread sandwich) with ham, extra bacon, and cheese, baked on both sides on white bread. My wife's sandwich was beef carpaccio and was very small. My "uitsmijter" was black on the bottom, ham, and burnt on one side. I sent it back and waited for the "uitsmijter" to be repaired. Meanwhile, I saw all the other dishes coming out of the kitchen, except for my "uitsmijter," which should have been prioritized. My wife had finished her meal. So, unfortunately, dinner together was over. No apology yet, or would you like an extra cup of coffee for the inconvenience? No way. Since my wife had already had time to eat her sandwich in peace, we decided to leave. At the cash register, the waiter followed me all the way to the cash register with the now-finished "uitsmijter," saying, "Here's your "uitsmijter," it's ready. I explained to her that if we're having dinner together, I'm not going to wait 30 minutes for my botched fried eggs to be remade. Come on, we're talking about frying an egg on both sides. Instead of a venison steak or a ribeye from Agnus, for example... So disappointing.

There was a lot of draft away from the opening, so we were quite cold

Very bad, I ordered a cup of tea and a beer, which I had to wait 20 minutes for, and at the same time, I received a cold egg sandwich and a cold chicken sandwich, which I waited 40 minutes for, after which I got fed up and paid for the two drinks (which were two cold sandwiches). I had someone help me out. They have about six people who can handle it.

Last Sunday evening, we went there for dinner and drinks with my guests from abroad. We ordered drinks and were sitting there, chatting peacefully. Two men were sitting at the bar. One of them had clearly had one too many drinks and was talking very loudly, which really bothered us. We mentioned this to the waitress, a young woman who was very kind to us, asking if they could do something about it. She passed it on to the person in charge that evening. The men at the bar and the woman in charge were getting along so well that I got the feeling they knew each other and might even be friends. But he kept talking loudly (yelling), and I had to say something. Then an argument broke out between us, and the waitress behind the bar agreed that nothing was wrong, apparently we were being strange and overreacting. From that point on, it got worse. He kept giving us dirty looks, occasionally going outside to smoke, and even from there, he looked at us very intimidatingly. There were other guests there, and they were also shocked when he kept coming in from outside, grumbling loudly. The whole atmosphere was ruined, and we became increasingly stressed. We decided to leave, and I went to pay the bill. Then the lady in charge apologized to us and said she couldn't do anything about it because the man had worked there for a long time. That was the last straw for me. He's an employee and acted like he owned the whole place. I don't know, maybe he was the owner. In that case, he'd be the worst entrepreneur in my opinion. While I was paying, this gentleman was sitting all the way in the back, and just as we were leaving, he yelled "suck it up!" at me. I actually wanted to contact the owner first and let them know because this is really unacceptable and very bad for their business. But on the other hand, I also thought that if the staff had so much nerve to do these kinds of things to the guests/customers, and the management even blamed us initially, there wouldn't be much point in bringing it up with the owner. I'm definitely never going back there again.

Yesterday I have visited with my friend. This place I usually visit for Coffee and tea during weekend afternoon. But this time I was there for dining. We had a nice beer. my favourite one is Pualaner from tap. That was amazing. What I did not like that much was "De lekkerste plank van Utrecht". Especially waiter was assuring us that it is "too big" but actually if I compare this Plank with the others I had in Netherlands it was at at least 2 times smaller and do not worth that price to be honest. However, the taste of it was amazing! My advise, next time if it is being promoted like "Lekkerste" or "Really big" this should meet the expectations to secure the future visits.

Sat for 20 minutes without any contact from/with the staff. I tried several times to get their attention, but to no avail. I stared at the bar. I left and went to another restaurant. When I left, the staff didn't even look up or around.

What an unpleasant experience at Quignon. I wanted a nice bite to eat with my son. We were told we could sit somewhere where a new group reservation had been made at 8:00 PM. It was 6:15 PM, so that didn't seem like a problem. Then we had to wait an hour for our food. Just after we'd had a few bites, we were asked to move to another table because the (extremely noisy) group that had made the reservation had arrived 40 minutes (!) earlier. The food was okay, but my pasta was cold. Our drinks weren't brought twice, and when they finally arrived, the glasses were dirty. The staff was indifferent and way overpriced for the quality and service. Never again at Quignon.

The food was excellent, but unfortunately, the service didn't live up to it. The staff was rarely available and seemed generally unengaged. For a birthday celebration, we asked for some candles we had brought ourselves, which was initially seen as a nuisance and only done after we asked. In my opinion, this restaurant is not suitable for a special occasion.

The food was great, but the service, when present, was very curt and inattentive. Since it was my sister's birthday today, we asked them to put some candles (which we brought ourselves) in the bedside table, but that seemed to be too much of a request. They did do it, thankfully. If you have something to celebrate, this restaurant is not recommended. :(

We always have lunch here when we're in Utrecht, but this time it was very disappointing. The staff were busy with each other and didn't seem to bother anyone. I had to ask to order my food myself; we'd already been waiting a while, and I wasn't asked for another drink. And it was very cold inside, so you don't go out feeling warmed up!

Fairly standard menu, food okay, but overpriced for the quality. The carpaccio (twice) was very salty and dry, the bread was warm but flavorless, the sole didn't come off the bone, the spare ribs and satay were good. The crème brûlée was too soft, but tasted good. It's a shame we had to move because of "a group of 25." We had made reservations and ended up at a birthday dinner at rickety tables near the front door, where we were sitting in a draft. That didn't make up for the house coffee.

I had dinner there, and the meal was excellent. The meat was cooked to perfection. The atmosphere is very pleasant. There's music playing, which is nice. The staff is attentive.

My son and I had lunch here. It was quite busy, but we received friendly and reasonably quick service. We ordered the club sandwich and the crispy chicken wrap, which were delicious.

Went with a group of ex colleagues to get a drink, it was really quiet so we were soon the only people left. However, they never made us feel unwelcome or like we were bothering them by staying. Service was good.

It seemed like they forgot to season the food, even after waiting 45 mins. Room temperature ribs did fall off the bone, but had no flavor. Gambas lacked flavor too.

It was really delicious. The servers simply remembered who ordered what while serving.

The food was decent: the pumpkin soup was too buttery, the meat was sinewy but with a tasty sauce, and the chicken burger was very bland and tasteless. The polenta wasn't to my liking, but one person enjoyed it. The fries were nice and crispy. The service was very good, friendly, and attentive. The drinks were delicious.

It looks really nice. Service takes a ridiculously long time, even though it wasn't busy; they were incredibly slow. We finally managed to order drinks, but it took so long that we didn't order anything, paid for our drinks, and walked out.

Surprisingly good food for this type of restaurant. It was a bit noisy and busy, but the food was delicious! I had the shrimp cocktail as a starter, which was nice and fresh and excellent. For my main course, I had a burger that was perfectly cooked. It came with well-cooked fries. And for dessert, the lava cake, which was still nice and soft inside. The service was excellent, could use a bit more attention, but they were very friendly. And the prices were good too. We got a deal here, by the way, and it was absolutely fantastic! Highly recommended.

Today I sat at Quignon for the first time. We were a group of about 10 and quickly received our first round of drinks. It took forever for the second round of drinks to arrive, even though it was relatively quiet. They also didn't have everything on the menu in stock. The food was decent, but not culinary masterpiece. The food was also being cleared while someone was still eating. The service was far below par. Personally, I wouldn't go back.

2nd visit June 2025: we visited several times during this trip. Great service and yummy p'star martinis. Good selection of beer. 1st visit September 2023: We stopped in for a drink. The service was good, friendly. We really did not like the style of the DJ, which put us off staying for more than one drink. But of course, this is just our personal preference.

Top restaurant. The food was very good, the staff was attentive to our kids, and the atmosphere was great! All in all, a solid 5 stars.

We were only here for a coffee and a classic sandwich, but it was a very pleasant place, good location. And, typical of the Netherlands, the service was very friendly ☺️

My first option for the main menu Saté ajam they didn't have. The second option the Black Angus burger was very tasty. Just like the dessert: Tartelette Crema catalana. The salade Niçoise for my girlfriend is with tuna, but there was hardly any tuna in it. It was mainly lettuce. That really dominated the few pieces of tuna.

Glad we had made a reservation. The restaurant was packed! We had a great meal and drinks.

Nice restaurant with an outside terrace on the Oudegracht in Utrecht. The food was very tasty and the service excellent. I was here for something work related so unfortunately I can't say anything about the costs.

Not recommended when it comes to service. It was cold. We sat there for more than 2.5 hours with a drink, even though we had indicated in between that we would like to order something. When we said something about this, the waitress walked away clearly irritated. After paying, the three of us were openly laughing at us. It's really bizarre how things work here. We watched it in amazement! No more Quignon for us. The food was worth 5 stars.

We had a great meal here! We ordered three BLT burgers, which came with fries and salad, plus a portion of mixed fried snacks. Everything was delicious and tasty. The atmosphere inside looked very nice, but we chose to sit outside to enjoy the view of Utrecht’s canals. The staff was super nice and friendly.

It is one of my favourite places in Utrecht. It's one of the best places when it is good weather to enjoy in the terrace Utrecht life. Variety and good wines and the food at wherever time is amazing. I really recommend it!

Jaren geleden was het nog goed maar nu.. niet echt een vriendelijke welkom. Serveerster was volgens mij snel op de tenen getrapt. Het eten is echt achteruit gegaan. Wij hadden eerst een uitsmijter besteld, toen deze gereserveerd werd zat erop onze uitsmijter een dikke laag koude vet op. Toen hebben wij wat anders besteld ik had de tonijn salade besteld deze was redelijk maar waar ik mij om verbaasde was ik vroeg om wit brood en kreeg bruin ( niet dat het erg is maar dat eet ik thuis altijd) en de twee grote bollen tonijn werd maar op één schamele broodje gereserveerd terwijl dat een tijd geleden nog 2 waren dus ik vond mijn lunch voor wat ik ervoor betaald had niet waard. Mijn zoon had de clubsandwich opzich oké maar ze beschreven oer patat erbij maar dat was gewone patat wat half rauw was en koud. Bij het afrekenen hadden wij als tip en klacht en netjes doorgeven maar ze voelden zich weer beledigd en verontschuldigen zich niet of toonde een greintje begrip en dat ze bijvoorbeeld de drankjes niet meerekende als verontschuldiging maar mijn zoon kreeg doodleuk te horen maar ja de tonijn is wel duur! Echt zo slecht dit. (Het komt gewoon van de groothandel)

3 times is a charm. I've been here 3 times because my favorite places were full, but I would have been better off getting a pizza roll at Mario sandwich, 10 times better than the food at Quignon. Thick cold layer of grease on the bouncer. Primal fries are simply frozen fries, reserved cold and half raw. 1 measly slice of bread on which the tuna salad was served. While we complained to the waitress in a normal friendly manner, because she could not do anything about it, she had stepped on her toes, but upon entering the greeting was not really customer friendly, they just stood there uninterested. (All the 3 times I've been there). Show no understanding at all and still get defensive. I had shown understanding and, if necessary, not paid for 2 drinks as an excuse. I had to wait a long time or I received my food much earlier than my companions who arrived much later. Hot food was simply served cold. There are nicer and better places in Utrecht.

No greeting from staff upon arrival, even though only one table was occupied. Staff is unfriendly. We ordered 2 bouncers. Both a dirty greasy mess, sent back to the kitchen and ordered different food. With a grumpy attitude from the employee. A tuna sandwich is one meager sandwich. When I went to pay and gave feedback, I received a very childish response. If you ask for extra honey or sugar you won't get it either. Bad thing this yuck.

Great vibe, great service, amazing drinks. We didn’t eat there. We went there both our nights in Utrecht and it was amazing! The Pornstar Martini was the best I tried. I can only recommend Price is average for Utrecht

Beautiful restaurant/bar with top service, but the quality of the food can be quite variable. As long as you stick to the simple things like a burger, you will enjoy it here.

Service is mediocre, food takes a long time! We waited more than 1 hour for just lunch. Not worth repeating. There are much nicer places to go to in Utrecht.

Good location, friendly efficient staff & a busy but pleasant atmosphere. I would give the food, 3.5 as it was fine but not worthy of a four-star. My only complaint were the tables for two in the window....they are so close together you can barely squeeze by & we were unlucky to have a very loud woman with a friend sat next to us so we heard everything about her love life but couldn't really talk to each other!

Veel beter meegevallen dan verwacht. Ook al ligt dit etablissement in het toeristische hart aan de Dam, we werden voortreffelijk verwelkomd en bediend. De gerechten waren stuk voor stuk verzorgd en lekker. En zoals in andere recensies te lezen: ribbetjes zijn zeer goed
