Definetely a 5/5! Service was very kind and on time, and food was delicious and proper quantities. Recommended for a group of 4+ people, then you can share and try several dishes

We went in because it was close to our hotel and we're starving, it ended up being one of our favorite food places. Will be dreaming about the garlic bread.

Just like Suresh Raina could not handle short pitched deliveries at his body while playing top level cricket, the food at his restaurant in Amsterdam fell flat with poor quality and service. Taste of lamb roganjosh lacked the Josh and admitted by his staff that lamb was not cooked to perfection upon having to taste by themself. “New chef was given the recipe but he made errors and feedback was repeated from the prior day” these were the words shared by the staff member. Cut down on the volume of menu items to do justice to fine art of cooking with taste.

Food was good but we ordered two spicy dishes and neither was spicy at all

We ate at the Indian restaurant and were absolutely thrilled! The food was truly delicious, freshly prepared, aromatic, and perfectly seasoned. We especially loved the wide selection of dishes, from mild and sweet dishes to truly spicy specialties, so there was something for every taste. The restaurant was busy, which clearly speaks volumes about the quality. We were lucky to get a table for four. The atmosphere was lively yet cozy, and the staff was friendly and attentive. Overall, a wonderful evening with fantastic food.

Normally i was search for a indian restaurant near me in Amsterdam then, I came across the Raina Indian restaurant, then I realized that this restaurant is owned by our Indin cricketer suresh raina, i tried punjabi food it was really amazing compaired to the other Indian European restaurant and I was greatly served with the Indian hospitality it was really a great experience!

Absolutely fantastic experience at Raina Indian Restaurant! From the moment we walked in, we were welcomed with warm hospitality and a vibrant atmosphere. The menu has an incredible variety—ranging from classic curries to delicious street-food style snacks—and every dish we tried was full of authentic flavor.

Waiters were friendly, nice quite space. They do make you wait for a while after you have notified them you would like to pay.

On our first visit to Amsterdam Raina’s food was really amazing. We had mix grill, daal makhani, naan was really tasty. Felt like home .. service was really friendly and professional.

Absolutely stunned by welcoming staff and delicious delicacies. Really enjoyed every single item we ordered. Would definitely recommend Raina to friends and family.

Ambience and cleanliness is not on par considering it as a fine dine restaurant. Lot can be improved. Location is also very remote from the point of a tourist. So please check before trying to reach there.

I visited Raina last night for dinner. The food was quite good, though it has room for some improvement. I ordered paneer and chicken starters—paneer was delicious while the chicken kebabs were a bit dry. For mains, I had paneer tikka masala and dal, both of which tasted authentic and enjoyable. Unfortunately, the service was very disappointing. The first waiter who served us was polite but seemed unfamiliar with the menu. The other waiter, who appeared to be senior, was extremely rude. At 9:15 pm he rushed us to place our final order, saying the kitchen would close at 10. After serving the starters, he did not return to take our main course order—I had to get up and ask him myself. The same happened again when ordering dessert and even for the bill. I noticed another nearby table facing the same issue, also having to walk over to request the bill. To make matters worse, the senior waiter spent much of the evening chatting and laughing loudly with his friends in Punjabi, which was disruptive and unprofessional. Overall, the food was good (especially the paneer dishes), but the poor service overshadowed the experience. Unless the service improves significantly, I worry this restaurant will struggle despite having a solid menu.

This was a really great restaurant. We had the lamb biryani and the chana punjabi and both were really delicious. They're big portions for a good price. The restaurant hat a nice atmosphere as well :)

This place is a joke. We waited over an hour for our food and didn’t get any updates. On top of that we had a reservation. Food was good but could have been better if some of the food wasn’t cold by the time it reached the tables.

Visited the place with family twice as we were happy to find good food. Staff was also friendly and warm but a little slow unnecessarily. They took 10 mins to provide the menu. When we asked for water they said we have to go to bar and ask for it as they can't give on the table. overall good experience.

A Hidden Gem for Indian Veg Food Lovers in Amsterdam! We had an absolutely amazing dining experience! As a true foodie who’s very particular about flavors and quality, I can confidently say this was one of the best meals I’ve had in all of Amsterdam. We ordered a variety of vegetarian dishes: Chilli Paneer (starter), Aloo Tikki Chaat, Veg Samosas, Veg Manchurian with Fried Rice, Dal Fry with Butter Naan and Lacha Parathas, and Bhindi Do Pyaza. Every single item was packed with authentic taste, fresh ingredients, and perfect seasoning. What stood out even more was the balance between quality and price — incredibly reasonable for the outstanding flavors delivered. This is not a paid review, just a very happy and satisfied customer. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for delicious vegetarian food in Amsterdam. You won’t be disappointed!

I love this Indian restaurant. First we got appetisers: some chicken, tofu and lamb chops cooked with a tandoori oven. They were so good. Mains: Butter chicken tikka masala 3x, 1x spicy, tofu tikka masala and Rogan Lamb Josh. They were out of this world! Sides: Basmati rice 3x, Garlic Naan 3x. So good! Drinks: Water 2x, Mango lassi 3x. We were visiter there for weekend and wanted to try something new in Desi style taste was completely different from the original taste after that we ordered ‘’ Gajjar Halwa” To be honest taste was really bad and they didn’t even cooked properly first and last time. they have to hire professionals cooks for continue the restaurant.

I highly recommend if you visit this restaurant, don’t forget to take water with you. They told they don’t serve tap water but they were serving it to next table. They offered a large bottle of water on 6€, and when asked for a small one they brought 125 ml water bottle filled with tap water and charged 3€. Showing very cheap and biased behavior. Don’t go to this restaurant.

Had a great meal at Raina Indian Restaurant. We had the mixed grill as a main course, it was really fantastic. Deliciously tender and soft meat. Super neat, nice and clean restaurant. Worth repeating!
