We had a delicious meal. The Palak Paneer is the best we have ever eaten! The vegetarian biryani was also divine.

The food was exceptional—the Lamb Rogan Josh and Chicken Karahi were rich and authentic, the Zaituni Paneer Tikka was cooked to perfection, and the Sizzlers paired with hot Garlic Naan were incredible. To top it all off, their famous Mango Lassi lived up to every bit of the hype. A special mention goes to Mr. Abdullah, who took care of us during our meal. He is a phenomenal host—incredibly knowledgeable about the menu, attentive, and warm. His hospitality truly made our evening memorable. Highly recommended for anyone looking for authentic Indian cuisine and top-tier service in the Netherlands. We will definitely be back!

As a Pakistani visiting from Australia, I can honestly say this restaurant made me feel like I was eating back home in Pakistan. The food was absolutely delicious, fresh, authentic, and full of flavour. Every dish was prepared with great care, and each bite reminded me of the taste of home. What impressed me even more was the outstanding service, the staff were incredibly warm, friendly, respectful, and professional, making us feel welcome from the moment we walked in. Their hospitality truly made the experience even more special. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for authentic Pakistani food and exceptional service. On 11 July 2026, our Indian family group of eight visited Raina Indian Restaurant. We traveled almost 90 km because we wanted to experience authentic Indian food, taste, and hospitality. We ordered a variety of dishes. Unfortunately, when the food arrived, we found the taste to be quite ordinary and not worth the long journey. The most disappointing part of our visit, however, was the behavior of the staff. They were aggressive, unprofessional, and did not provide the warm hospitality we expected from an Indian restaurant. Overall, our experience was disappointing, and I would rate this restaurant a C grade. If you are planning to visit Raina Restaurant expecting a great dining experience or a restaurant that lives up to its reputation, you may want to reconsider.

Had a decent, well priced meal here. Please ask for spicy of you can take it otherwise you'll be missing out. Good service too!

Food was great, an unexpected highlight was the mango lassi. Our server (ayushi) was nice and specifically asked for spice levels per person.

Ayushi welcome us well and treat familiar as like India. Food test was very yummy. The atmosphere inside the restaurant is very smooth and quite. Perfect management I would say. Best option in Amsterdam for Indian people to find good test.

As a dedicated fan, being here today felt truly special.✨♥️ The restaurant is beautiful, the service was outstanding, and the food was excellent👌🏻. The Veg Noodles and Chilli Paneer were especially delicious and made the experience even more enjoyable. Coming all the way from Vadodara to Amsterdam and finally dining here is a memory I will always cherish. Thank you for creating such a wonderful place and experience.☺️🧿

The food was great as always, but unfortunately the service experience was very disappointing during my last visit. Before entering the restaurant, we noticed the Chandni Chowk restaurant nearby and asked a few questions about the food quality and whether it was similar to Raina Restaurant. The staff member at the counter seemed offended by our questions and responded rudely. Later, the same person came to take our order at Raina Restaurant, and his behaviour still felt unfriendly. One of my friends asked whether the meat was Halal, which was an important question for us. The waiter confirmed it, but then made a sarcastic comment that felt unnecessary and disrespectful. At the end, we asked for containers to pack our leftover food. The response again felt rude, even though we had paid for the food and simply wanted to take it with us. The food quality was very good, but the service made the experience uncomfortable. I hope the staff can be more respectful and patient with customers in the future.

Not the authentic indian experience you are looking for. 1. So i went with my mom to this restaurant, the waiter served me the menu but then he forgot to took my order and was talking to his colleague, i tried to make eye contact, raised my hand but nothing worked, this doesnt happen in any indian restaurant in india. 2. The bread - naan was brought it was completely cold, i told him about this but he said, he brought it warm, i mean what am i lying ? 3. The seats are not cozy at all and i had trouble while seating, i asked him can i sit somewhere else which he completely denied. In india we have something called athiti devo bhavah. - guest i god which was completely dissrespected here Absolutely not worth visiting to waste your money there.

Food was good but the manger with moustache was extremely rude , we were expecting warm hospitality but everyone was very cold , I took a second spoon of mouth freshener and the guy in moustache literally said on my face to not have it as it will finish , pathetic stuff , was here forn3 days , thought of coming all 3 days but won’t come now for sure looking at the attitude of staff , no wonder the place was all empty as we were the only ones sitting in the restaurant at peak dinner time . It’s the people who make this place worst.

Really really horrible experience!!! We booked this place days in advance and the table was not ready when we arrived and it was never been set!! Food was below mediocre. Being a hardcore cricket fan as well Raina’s fan, we were so disappointed. Our first day in Amsterdam was a very sad experience.

Service and atmosphere is good but food is pathetic. Half cook chicken and tasteless curry.

Shariff was cheerful, helpful and added to our dining experience. Was craving for Indian Chinese and it did the work. Portion sizes are big and some have rice accompaniment’s, so do check before ordering.

We had dinner here. It was very tasty. Felt that we got real Indian food taste. Service was also good. Mango Lassi was very less quantity for the price. But other items were having good quantity. They don't have any soups.

I don’t usually write reviews, but this experience felt worth sharing—especially given the reputation of this well-known restaurant. Having traveled extensively across Europe and tried numerous Indian restaurants, I’ve often found that even when the food isn’t exceptional, the warmth and hospitality of the staff make the overall experience memorable. Unfortunately, that was not the case here. To begin with, most Indian restaurants offer small touches like papad and chutneys shortly after taking the order—something that helps set the tone and makes guests feel welcome. That thoughtful gesture was missing here. Secondly, flexibility with meals is something I’ve come to expect. Typically, naan, roti, or rice can be adjusted based on customer preference. In this case, despite rice being included, it could not be substituted with roti. We were instead asked to order rotis separately, which felt unnecessarily rigid—especially after a long day when all you want is a comforting, satisfying meal tailored to your liking. We also had a disappointing delay when we ordered a second round of rotis. They arrived only after about 20 minutes and a reminder from our side. The explanation given was that a large order had come in and ours was missed. By the time the rotis were served, the rest of our food had gone completely cold, which significantly affected the overall dining experience. We also had a small but telling moment when we asked for a slice of lemon. Initially, we were told it wasn’t available as it was reserved for salad, which felt surprising for a restaurant of this standing. Eventually, two small slices were provided, but the interaction left an impression. After this overall experience, I had initially thought of ordering a comforting Indian dessert to end the meal on a better note, but I chose not to. Lastly, while the food itself was genuinely delicious and deserves full marks, it unfortunately felt like it had been reheated rather than freshly prepared. In summary, the cuisine was excellent, but the overall experience fell short of expectations. At a restaurant of this caliber, one hopes for not just great food, but also thoughtful service and a welcoming atmosphere—which, sadly, were lacking here.

This is the absolute best experience I’ve ever had with Indian food. The taste, the spices, the flavor, and the amount of food was perfect. I also had a wonderful experience with everyone working there, especially my waiter Shariff. He made sure I had everything I needed and kindly checked in on me, asking if I wanted something more. Always greeting me with a big smile. I also had the pleasure of meeting the boss of the restaurant, whom I sadly don’t remember the name of, but he was super nice. I will definitely come back many, many times. Already looking forward to it!

Best Indian restaurant in Netherlands. Mr chibbar the owner was super sweet. Our server abdulah from bangladesh was perfect. Served us very well. I tried chicken noodles chicken tikka biryani butter chicken . The desserts were also nice rasmalai & gulab jamun. Masala papad was to die for.

We had a delicious meal, the mango lamb was amazing, and the online reservation worked perfectly.

I had made a reservation here to celebrate my birthday. There were four of us ladies, and I had mentioned this in the reservation. Upon arrival, they only asked how many people were in the party, but not about the reservation. I indicated that I had made a reservation. We chose what we wanted quite quickly and passed this on. Drinks arrived quickly, but the food only arrived after more than an hour! Someone had come by twice in the meantime to ask if we had ordered yet?! The portions were in small bowls, and there were no serving spoons included anywhere. I went to ask for one, and I was pointed out where I could get one. Instead of four portions of rice, we wanted naan instead. According to the man, the naan were very small triangles, but when they arrived, they were actually quite large?! So, we had ordered too much. Poor communication, and I had expected much better service, which is just normal elsewhere. The taste was good, but unfortunately, my appetite was gone. Because of this, I won't be coming back to eat here anytime soon, unfortunately. They didn't say anything about the birthday. We were offered chai on the house, though.

Special thanks to Sharif, who was extremely helpful and took the time to explain many of the dishes to us. His friendly attitude and knowledge made our visit even more enjoyable. The food was at paar with Authentic Indian flavours. We enjoyed Mango Lassi, Chicken Seekh Lamb, Goa Fish Curry, Garlic Naan and Rice. The chutney were tasty as well. Thank you for wonderful hospitality!
