My favourite restaurant in Amsterdam.

Tried the Sherpas thali along with a few other dishes including steamed chicken momos. The food definitely was very authentic and true to the Nepalese cuisine.

Me and my ol lady went. Loved it. Everyone was so nice. We recommend a shot of the raski, gobi 65 (our favs), paneer chicken, garlic naan, butter chicken. Cheers!

Delicious Indian, Nepalese and Tibetan dishes, great ambience, very nice service!! The restaurant is very inconspicuous from the outside - but it's worth actively looking for it! Definitely worth a visit! We even went there twice during our city trip🤩.

Just incredible. After having been to several different Indian restaurants in different countries in Europe, this was by far the best one I've been to so far, and not just because of the stellar food. The service and the ambiance were delightful. The service was one of the best I've had yet. As an example, we requested them for some real chai, the way it's made in India, and they made it from scratch - it was just the flavour we sought after a long day. This was a small point among many, but the main reason why this restaurant stood out to me was because this Nepalese/Indian restaurant felt more Indian to me than any other Indian restaurant in Europe so far, which cater mainly to their European customer base, rather than to all customers equally. In the end we also met the chef, who was a lovely and humble man. The entire staff was wonderful and attentive. I'm sure if you go there, you will have a great time and a lovely experience.

Iets uit de loop van de winkelstraten en het Leidseplein vind je dit pareltje. Anders dan de pui doet vermoeden, tref je binnen een zeer sfeervol ingericht restaurant. Het eten is echt heerlijk kruidig. Het vriendelijke personeel vraagt beleefd welke pittigheidsgraad je wilt. Een echte aanrader!

A cosy restaurant with an amazing selection of Nepalese, Indian and Tibet dishes. Have been coming here many times in the past few years. The chicken tandoori was very good and came with a delicious bean and potato curry. The chicken, noodle and momo soup was excellent. The vegetarian momos are great. The staff are friendly, and the prices are reasonable (especially if you consider the generous serving sizes).

We had a dinner here with the two of us. It is a very nice place with friendly staff. We tweaked a bit on the menu order and that was no problem at all. The food took a bit longer because of that and they told us if that would be a problem. How nice! Ambiance is also great and it was quite crowded. Menu is quite extensive and it gives good explanation of what they serve, we had a good evening out and enjoyed the meal very much.

Incredible food, wonderful friendly staff, fantastic service, excellent experience all-round. 100% deserving of its reputation and worth going, I'm already looking forward to returning to try other dishes! When I called to book, I mentioned that my mother was allergic to garlic to ask if they could accommodate that. I was assured they could work something out and, on arrival, we didn't even have to remind them. We were immediately asked to confirm who it was that had the allergy, and told that they had prepared a garlic-free menu. It was absolutely delicious and they checked in frequently to make sure. Really, the care that they took really went above and beyond, and we're very grateful.

Het eten was iets te pittig voor mij. Dat werd meteen gezien en er kwam een schaaltje yoghurtsaus om te blussen. Ook nog koffie na van de zaak. Dan geef je wel een goede fooi.

Best Nepal/ Indian food in Amsterdam if decent spice/ heat is your thing. Amazing.

Very lovely spot! We reserved a table and arrived early (17:45), so it was nice and calm. We enjoyed our food, dessert, and the atmosphere so much that we ended up staying until 21:00—also, we were quite full and needed some time to uitbuik (relax and let our food settle), haha. I appreciated the staffs kind warning about the spiciness of the lamb madras. It was incredibly flavorful—definitely had a kick to it—but perfectly balanced. The garlic naans were also super tasty. For desert -even though I’m lactose intolerant-, I couldn’t resist ordering a mango lassi and mango kulfi. 100% worth it! Even on my way home, I’m still reminiscing about how delicious they were. Throughout the evening it gradually got busier with the vibe being very warm and lively and the staff remaining so kind and attentive, making the whole experience even better. Highly recommend!

We arrived late on a Sunday evening and were welcomed by friendly staff. Really enjoyed the Tibetan spices. The vegan option was delicious and the not so vegan chicken dish was consumed in record time! Recommended.

I found the water very unspicy and if you want to be devastated by eating bittersweet, you should definitely try it.

Excellent experience, we tried both Nepalese and Indian dishes. The food was delicious and the service was impeccable. This is now on my fav list, I’ll be back soon.

Waited an hour for starters, mains all tasted identical, all very creamy, no heat (chose medium out of mild, medium and spicy), had to chase 3 servers for food that kept saying 2 minutes, turns out veggie was missed off order. Cannot recommend

Hightly recommended! The best Tibetan and Nepali food I had in Amsterdam. I have been there to celebrate a special occasion over dinner. The staff was very attentive and welcoming and made our evening even more special. Loved the Chicken Thukpa noodle soup and gorkha chicken curry. Lamb momos and chicken momos are a must try. I'll definitely visit again to try out dal bhaat dishes. Brownie points: Option to select spice level from 1-5 to customize your dishes.

The restaurant is newly expanded, the ambience is so much better. Sagar served us with a smile and service was pretty quick. We had a little chat with him and he was super nice. Food was super tasty, we ordered Tshel Gyoka, the veg combo. It was delicious and heart warming.

Locale piccolo ma accogliente e ben posizionato rispetto alla zona dei musei e al centro città. Atmosfera accogliente, cibo di buona qualità, servizio veloce e attento anche in una serata "particolare" ( cena del 31 dicembre). Prezzi nella norma. Un plus è dato dalla vicinanza con il jazz club Alto dove si può concludere la giornata ascoltando ottima musica...

A pleasant discovery, the food was excellent

I got food poisoning here from the prawn curry. My fault because I knew when it came out that the prawns were too difficult to cut with a knife but I couldn’t get a look at it in the curry and moved on. I have never been so sick in my life. Ended up having to cancel my flight rebook for the following day and extend my hotel room so I could be sick for 24 hours- costing me 2k$.

Came on a whim after visiting Vincent. Was pissing rain and super windy so this was rated and fairly close. Also sounded great considering the outdoor conditions. One of the best we’ve ever had. All dishes were absolutely unreal.

Alright !! A little expensive but it's Damn!! It was too strong in spices, they reduced the pepper somehow!!

Beautiful Nepali cuisine, staff is very hospitable and happy to give suggestions. A must try if you are looking for something different.

Seems a little expensive at first, but the portions are huge. We shared a main and we were both stuffed.

Very tasty momos, curries and naan. Free poppadom with delicious dips. Nice atmosphere, quick service.

The best Indian meal I've ever had in my life. The curry was amazing, so were the nans. The meals are very well served, I thought I wasn't going to be able to finish it and yet... it was so delicious that I managed to do it. Top notch staff and very welcoming. I can't wait to go back!

Small cozy restaurant with Indian and Nepali cuisine. Nice atmosphere and good friendly service. I’ve tried lamb and it was very good just I asked for not spicy one but have got spicy one. As an apology they gave me complimentary not spicy butter chicken, which was very tasty as well. Cheesy garlic Naan bread was amazing too. Very much recommended place.

Wonderful. I expected a very touristy mediocre place but the food (tasting menu + biryani) turned out authentic and tasty. Service was wonderful thanks to Nepalese smiles and hospitality. Will come back.

Saag Paneer looks like nothing, tastes like nothing and looks like it contains Gouda cheese cubes and coffee milk. Too bad this could be so much better. Also not impressed with lamb from the clay oven. It looks industrial and it tastes that way too. Korim for us this is not it

Went there with my husband followed the rating score here. With 4.7 out of 17xx reviews, we expected more. Sorry to say that this restaurant couldn’t compete with our all time favorite Indian-Nepalese in Van Baerlestraat. The food was good but not that intense flavor as we used to. The service was good. The atmosphere was great after renovating (i assumed) the place, it became more fine dining and bigger. The location is great, right in the tourist center. A bit pricey for Momo as starter but the dipping sauce was really good. The masala curry tasted a bit milder than any indian restaurant we have been to. The mixed grill was great but the side pea curry that came in the set also tasted too mild. Overall experience was 8/10

I don't know if I caught it on a bad night given the majority of reviews, but the tandoori lamb was incredibly bland. Barely detectable spice (ordered medium), no real flavor to speak of aside from oil and the lamb itself. Indian food is known for complex spices and flavors and I got none of that here. That theme extended to the rice, which also tasted like nothing. When mixed with the lamb, the combination was just more of nothing. Very disappointing, especially considering the price.

Booked a last minute reservation and was blown away by how delicious all the food was. The steamed chicken momo, yeti food, and garlic naan were so incredible. We had to wait about 15 min to get a table, but it was well worth the wait! The wait staff were all so kind, helpful, and knowledgeable about the menu.
