Restaurant Acquavite in Naarden

Finally found a restaurant where everything was really in order. Professionalism and craftsmanship like you don't often encounter anymore. No pretentious situation, but really good food in a beautiful place with excellent service. Recommended!

Great location, even when it's warm. Friendly and thoughtful staff and kitchen. We had the 5-course surprise menu and everything was super tasty and beautifully presented. We were pleasantly surprised!

The surprise menu was really tasty. Especially the starter and main course, and the brownie for dessert. The service came by often and explained a lot - very friendly intention, but I didn't need that. We had reserved a table 1.5 hours before someone else had apparently reserved it, so the pressure to leave quickly was there. At the end, our plate with some cheese and a toast was snatched away by the service, which meant that our end time was approaching. The audience was also a lot older, but that will probably be because it wasn't cheap. All in all: nice evening, little to complain about, but a bit less intimate/quieter than I would have liked. Would recommend it, and perhaps come back again sometime (when I'm older).

Once in a while I come to Acquavite. Italian food, but special. With friends who are dear to me. Because I know that I will be warmly welcomed and can enjoy the special surroundings of the ramparts again. This time we opted for the surprise menu (4-course and 5-course) and every dish was truly delicious. More than delicious and super enjoyable from start to finish. Make sure you reserve in time because I don't think I'm the only one with this experience.

We celebrated our wedding reception, dinner and party at Acquavite. We are very happy with both the support in the preparation of the wedding and with how the wedding itself went. Sabina had a good sense of what we needed and also made good suggestions that made our wedding a great success. Communication between Acquavite and the other suppliers (pastry chef, photographer, DJ and musician) also went well. We can recommend Acquavite to everyone

Correct and friendly service right from the start. The alcohol-free prosecco even tastes good. Our starter prawn with squid was already a very successful choice, but the main courses make everything a very successful experience. Both the risotto and the tournedos were particularly tasty. Both were prepared very well.

Received cold steak, it was also completely covered in fat. not friendly staff. When I indicated that my food was cold, the staff laughed it away. I definitely won't come here again. Review is about a few weeks ago

Fantastic kitchen is run by the owners themselves, they swear by Italian and the food is perfect A small thing when you go for the tasting, everything takes a little too long. But otherwise great location

Good food in a beautiful location, but very expensive for what you get. Before you receive the card, you will be asked whether you would like a prosecco in advance and also whether you would like a bottle of water on the table. On the bill you suddenly see that this small, narrow glass of Prosecco costs €7 and a bottle of plain water costs almost €6. Meat is served without fries or potatoes and cannot be ordered. You can only order extra grilled vegetables...

Heel simpel: een van de betere tenten in het hele Gooi. Qua entourage en ambiance, de kwaliteit van het eten en de bereiding van de gerechten. En al jaren zo.

We experienced the service as very mediocre: I went to eat at Aquavite as a supervisor for a group of 8 elderly people and a driver. 3 people had difficulty walking and were dependent on a walker. I would like to share how poorly this group was treated in terms of service. After entering, all 10 of us were sent into a side hallway (including walkers). This later turned out to be the cloakroom (too small for 10 people). No service was warned about the step. At first I thought we were being sent there to eat in a separate room. I think it would have been much more hospitable to accept our coats. Then when we were almost sitting down, I was asked the unusual question 'what our end time was'... why?? 🤷🏽‍♀️ All in all a bad start! When taking their order, a number of people chose the presented meat course of the day. However, when recording, it turned out that this dish could not be ordered..., the waitress had named the wrong dish. The food was very good and the restaurant was stylishly and attractively decorated in preparation for Christmas. All in all, not worth repeating with a group of elderly people…

Stopped here while touring Naarden. Everything was excellent and the setting is in a very unique spot. Plenty of parking in front. Be sure to make a reservation.

Aquavite in Naarden. Well, where do I start? You walk in and the first thing you notice is the serene tranquility. That's not surprising, because the average guest had his last working day somewhere in the 90s. It's a retirement home with tablecloths. Everyone looks at each other kindly, but everyone is actually wondering the same thing: “Is it almost eight o'clock already, can we go home?” The food? Yes, that's fine. Super tasty even, if you like taste. Nothing to complain about. The service? Well, the word 'clumsy' is still friendly. They almost fall over with the plates and it looks like they are carrying a full tray for the first time, but that is somehow charming. It's like looking at your granddaughter who has her first part-time job. You immediately forgive them, because hey, they're doing their best. The prices? Let's just say that you can buy half a supermarket for less money. But hey, you do eat in Naarden, right? Then you simply pay more, because there was once a star stuck in the sky. Or is it worth those prices? Well, if you like eating among walkers and a pleasantly coughing audience, absolutely.

Bruiloft bij Aquavite gehad. Was (met de band) beste keuze die we gemaakt hebben. Het eten overtrof alle verwachtingen, de bediening was uitstekend en de eigenares begeleide ons door de dag heen zonder op de voorgrond te treden. Het is moeilijk in een korte review duidelijk te maken hoe goed ze ons verzorgden en begeleiden tijdens alles wat op zo'n dag anders kan gaan dan gepland.

Professional service: etiquette, manners, knows what is being served, polite. Food: delicious, beautiful presentation, tasty and well presented Location: great Jellyfish price: top And... there's always room for dessert. Dessert goes through the heart, not through the stomach. Especially here, what a treat

What a wonderful evening with delicious food and fantastic wines. Hostess, from Italy, knows a lot about the dishes and the wine and grappa. It's a bit pricey, but with prosecco beforehand, wine, 4 courses of coffee and liqueur/grappa afterwards, it's more than worth it!

A good meal at this beautiful location. Nice table, not too close together. Wonderful scents of garlic and truffle. Friendly service, a bit on the stiff/formal side, could be a little looser. Delicious dishes in the five-course dinner/choice menu. It was strange that people could not choose all-fish for the five-course dinner, but they could choose for the four-course menu. Nothing to complain about the quality. Interesting matching Italian wines. Cheese board of 4 cheeses for dessert a bit on the small side. Tip: slightly greater differences in taste and perhaps some fig compote and apple syrup instead of two pieces of hard bread.

We had a very tasty meal. The only thing that needs to be improved is the time between courses, which really takes too long. We had a 4 course menu with a wine pairing. The wine was almost ready before the dish was served because there is so much time between dishes. 4 courses without coffee took 2.5 hours.

Everything was good ;) , I had dinner with my mothers at the Acquavite restaurant on February 15. Definitely recommended. Nice staff 😽 I did miss a tournedos or tenderloin 🤌🏼

This restaurant is located in a beautiful old barracks. You park on a square just in front of the entrance. Once inside you are welcomed with Mediterranean warmth. On the menu you will not find the usual Italian dishes but Italian specialties. A suitable wine is served with each dish.

Had dinner here with a friend, started with the mozzarella in carozza. Well presented and tasted great! Onto the main course I had wild boar cheek with tenderloin and sweet potato. First time I had wild boar cheek, the taste was good and very tender. As desert we had tiramisu, not the way I'm used to it but it was good nonetheless. All while dining in a picturesque old hospital base. It was a bit noisy but thats to be expected here. We were waited by a lovely ladely whoms name I sadly can't remember but her service was amazing! Overall a great experience and looking forward to coming back in the future

Our surprise about 1 type of non-alcoholic beer, and that is Heineken. Really disappointing!!

We had been here for a wedding and we were allowed to be in this fantastic building. This is located in an old beautiful fort where the army was located. The food here is really great, we enjoyed a 4 course menu. We were able to enjoy so many goodies. If you want to enjoy really good food in a historic building, this is the place to be. Great ones!

We had a fantastic meal here, highly recommended! Location: they are located in a beautifully renovated old fort in Naarden. Beforehand I was a little worried about the acoustics in a room with a low arched ceiling, but they solved that very well with sound deadening agents. The staff was extremely friendly and hospitable. Very nice and fun to be around. And then the food: it was really good. We went for the 6-course tasting (for less than 60 euros, very reasonably priced!). We forgot to take pictures, but we had delicious salmon with green apple and black garlic, excellent duck, and a delicious veal loin with parsnips and vegetables. But what will really stick with me are the cheeses, especially the Lazuli cheese. Incredibly delicious, perhaps the best blue cheese I have ever eaten. They also wrote down some information for me about this cheese, because I want to try it more often. The wines are also very good and tasty, in generous quantities. Thank you for the wonderful evening.

We were pleasantly surprised by the beautiful location and the warm and enthusiastic welcome. There was a table reserved in the courtyard where we had a nice view of the historic fortress. The service at the table was professional, hospitable and cordial. We have chosen a 4-course surprise menu (one vegetarian and one fish). All dishes were nicely laid out and delicious in taste. The variety of different flavors with each dish was particularly tasty. We thanked the chefs in the open kitchen when they left for the delicious meal. Highly recommended. We will definitely be back again

Eten was goed. Bediening was voltreffelijk. Tuin had wat netter gekund (Brandnetels in bloempotten. Erg lang gras en behoorlijk wat onkruid).

Ben hier nu 3x geweest en steevast heerlijk gegeten in een mooie omgeving en met goede service.

Restaurant op bijzondere locatie/ in bijzonder gebouw. Vriendelijke bediening en royale porties. Het eten is prima, maar ook niet meer dan dat.

Mooi restaurant met een fijne ambiance. Vriendelijk personeel. Helaas vielen een aantal gerechten tegen. De vissoep was wel smakelijk en goed gevuld. Maar het voorgerechtje met gekarameliseerde witlof was koud. De twee hoofdgerechten, de varkenshaas met varkenswangcombinatie en het garnalengerecht waren weinig verfijnd en vooral erg zout. En tot slot, de wijn was lekker maar we kregen wel erg kleine glaasjes voor de prijs.

Het was weer heerlijk Sabina en Jozef, wat hebben wij weer heerlijk gegeten. Bedankt Jaimy.

Heerlijk eten en super bediening!

Goede prijs kwaliteit Italiaans eten. Menu van de chef meerdere malen gehad, nooit een teleurstelling!

Van een geweldige avond genoten samen met mijn vrouw en onze dochter. Alle tafels bezet en dat is altijd een goed teken. Schitterende ambiance, heerlijk warm, voortreffelijke gerechten en uiterst vriendelijke en kundige bediening. Dat wij hier terugkomen staat als een paal boven water. Gewoon een TOP restaurant!

Eerlijk en heerlijk italiaans eten.

Het eten is van hoge kwaliteit. In de langgerekte eetruimte was geen geluid demping waardoor de beleving erg gehorig is. Ook is de sfeer strak en ietwat zakelijk. Parkeer gelegenheid is voor de deur en ruim voldoende.

Julia was amazing in service, very helpful with wine choices (pairing with 4-5 course meal selection) and menu knowledge. The atmosphere, food and kitchen was also amazing. Definitely worth to visit again soon. .

Heerlijk gegeten, Italiaans om specifiek te zijn!

Heerlijk Italiaans gegeten en gedronken. Aardige mensen. Ook in de open keuken.

Altijd sfeervol, en goede kwaliteit. Ruime keuze en vriendelijke medewerkers.. een aanrader

Goede locatie, wel lastige layout waarbij de dansvloer tussen bar en keuken ligt en dus de bediening elke keer er doorheen moet.

Sehr gute Küche mit spitzen Qualität und absolut freundliches und aufmerksames Personal, kann man nur empfehlen.

Quality of the food terrible. Very expensive for what you get. Complaints are ignored. Drink measures are too small for the price asked. Not a restaurant I recommend for someone that likes good food. Also staff wasn’t friendly.

Wir saßen draußen in diesem schönen und ungewöhnlichen Ambiente. Leider war unser reservierter Tisch voll mit schwarzen Bröseln des Baums über uns. Wir mussten lange darauf warten, überhaupt erstmal Getränke zu bestellen und die Karte zu bekommen. Das Brot kam erst, als wir die Vorspeise fast gegessen hatten (wir hatten 3 mal darum gebeten). Beide Servicekräfte (viel zu wenige für die viele Gäste) hatten alle Hände voll zu tun und haben versucht, durch Freundlichkeit und Humor die Defizite auszugleichen. Beim Essen merkt man, dass da eine gute Idee dahintersteckt, die Durchführung könnte aber noch besser sein: der Pulpo weicher, die Sauce zur Putenroulade reichhaltiger und die gefüllten Ravioli mehr "al dente". Das Preis-Leitungsverhältnis ist nicht ganz stimmig.

Eten is heerlijk, de wijnen goed. Bediening snel & vriendelijk. De moeite waard.. echter roken Is toegestaan.. lekker eten & rokende in de omgeving.. gaat echt ten koste van de kwaliteit & bovenal gezondheid. Verbieden!! Aparte rookruimten voor de toch grote groep rokers « genieters »

We went there at 20:15 for a table. Everything looks open with many tables available but the server told us that it was closed. Strangly the restaurant was supposed to be open till 22:00. A bit weird.

Zonder overleg werden we bij 20 graden en wat wind buiten geplaatst. Na ons verzoek konden we wel binnen zitten. Eten is prima, bediening ook, ondanks dat een deel van het personeel nog opgeleid werd.

Met 6 personen gegeten. Ontvangst en bediening erg vriendelijk. Erg smakelijke en mooi opgediende gerechten. Porties precies goed. Kortom: hier komen we graag nog eens terug! Gratis parkeren voor de deur, ook niet verkeerd!

Dit restaurant stelt nooit teleur. Heerlijke plek waar wij altijd weer naar uitkijken om naar terug te keren.

Zeer lekker Italiaans gegeten. Het menu per gang is 'beperkt' gehouden, zonder te weinig te bieden. Geen keuzestress! Prijzen voor de kwaliteit echt prima. Personeel vriendelijk, attent en sjiek zonder het ongemakkelijk te maken. Ik kom hier graag nog een keer terug. Ohja - geen plek om je (jongere) kinderen mee naar toe te nemen.

Geen afhaal op vrijdag en zaterdag. Waardeloos. Gaan we ergens anders pizza halen. Advies: doe de service goed of niet.
