This is a must-dine when visiting the Veluwe. After a visit in 2019, we returned for a week's holiday in the Veluwe, and after our first positive experience, we returned last week. This place offers everything you expect from a good restaurant: good food, a pleasant atmosphere, and friendly and attentive staff. As you drive up, you'll recognize this cozy restaurant by the light shining in the darkness along the dark road. Once you step inside, you're embraced by the warm atmosphere and inviting decor, perfect for a relaxing week on the Veluwe. It reminds me of a Disney movie: suddenly, there's the inn in the woods, where it's warm and cozy inside. We tried several game dishes, and they were all delicious. The side dishes are also perfectly suited to the autumn and the dishes themselves. From meat to side dish, everything is prepared with the same care and attention. For example, the red cabbage was truly fantastic and paired perfectly with the autumnal dishes. The staff is constantly focused on your experience; Are you ready for the next course, do you want another drink, etc.? This is why I eat out; you don't want to keep asking for these things yourself. That kind of service is unique these days, but luckily they still have it here. All in all, the conclusion is: you really have to go here!

A really nice place for lunch, the staff were very helpful. We brought a 1.5-year-old, and the staff were very accommodating. They even made suggestions to speed up his food and adjust the portion size. All of these suggestions made us feel comfortable right away. The food was delicious, the hut is incredibly cozy and has a nice bit of history. Parking is available in front for several cars. The cottage is also located next to a cycling route, which was convenient for our trip.

Boshuis Drie is fantastically situated in the heart of the Ermelo woods and is easily accessible by car, bike, or on foot. The restaurant, which is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays, is busy the rest of the week. Want to be guaranteed a seat? Then a reservation is essential. But please note: reservations are only accepted for lunch or dinner. So, for just a cup of coffee and pastry, it's not recommended to make a reservation (listed on the website under "opening hours"). Unfortunately, after we were seated, we were told this somewhat bluntly, because "that's how it works here." Reservations can only be made by phone, so it would have been helpful if I had been reminded of this when making the reservation. If you do want coffee and pastry, I recommend choosing a different location, as the chance of finding a seat is very slim. The restaurant is beautiful, cozy, and atmospheric inside, but not very spacious. The seating is a bit unsettling due to visitors lingering in the aisles and walking in and out. The outdoor terrace has several heaters. However, the food was delicious and excellent value for money. Will we ever come back here again? No, not at all.

Just in time for lunch, as almost everything had already been reserved. I had a cup of mushroom soup and a chef's salad. Both were excellent. A cozy place.

A lovely spot in the woods where you can enjoy a delicious meal. Complete meals without having to order extra dishes. Friendly service. Being able to request the next course is great.

The coffee was okay, but the apple pie was very mediocre; it was a huge piece. The cake with compote was also disappointing; it wasn't homemade cake, at least, but rather factory-made.

When everything comes together, you're at Boshuis Drie. Besides a prime location in a beautiful setting, you'll find, in my opinion, the most enthusiastic and friendly staff here. They're simply wonderful. The atmosphere inside is wonderful, and you can relax on the terrace, where even a robin comes to get a closer look. The lunch we had was excellent, and the apple pie was just the way you like it. 😉 It's definitely worth putting in two identical rings.

What a special place, right in the middle of the forest. I've been there so many times for lunch, just for a cup of coffee or tea with the famous apple pie and whipped cream, or for a drink during a bike break. Reasonable prices and friendly, efficient staff. Today we came for lunch after a lovely walk in the woods, and it was again... TOP!!!! See you next time! Warm regards from three satisfied guests.

Fantastic, delicious food. Excellent service and a great atmosphere. In short, we had a fantastic evening.

The cappuccino was good, but the apple pie came straight from the refrigerator. The service was rather indifferent, especially the Chinese man (the owner, perhaps). He simply let us wait and walked past our table several times. We had to ask him ourselves if we could order something. Then he brought the menu and sat us down again. Ten minutes later, someone else came to take our order, and then someone else brought the ice-cold apple pie. When we paid, it turned out that four coffees and two slices of apple pie with whipped cream cost over 25 euros! Such a shame; you won't be seeing me there again anytime soon.

We had a delicious meal here. The service was quick and friendly. Make sure you book in advance, as it's a popular restaurant, especially on weekends. And make sure you arrive early, as the place closes at 8 p.m.

The welcome was incredibly warm, even our dog was kindly received. The food was delicious, with perfectly cooked salmon. Reservations are recommended, as it gets busy. Even if you're coming alone, I wouldn't go here for lunch or dinner in autumn or winter.

A very nice restaurant located in the middle of the forest, about 5 km from Ermelo. A very friendly welcome right away. The cake was delicious, and the recommended wine was good. We felt very comfortable there.

We only drank beer, different kinds, and everything was delicious. We stopped by by chance while passing by. We ordered fries, but the waiters forgot, and we later cancelled because we had to leave. There are plenty of waiters, but they only come when you call them. Will we go back? Definitely YES.

Beautiful place, been for years. Unfortunately, the food isn't great, more quantity than quality and quite expensive too. €14.75 for the chef's salad, a rather bland dish: lettuce, tomato, far too much salty canned ham, tiny bacon bits from a package, tiny croutons from a bag, and a generous dollop of greasy, bland sauce. The Dutch-style, soggy baguette doesn't really make it any better. Well, what does that say about the chef? The coffee was decent, and the service really did its best. This restaurant is definitely not a top-notch restaurant, a shame because the location is beautiful.

We had a fantastic meal, and today we were amazed at how smoothly everything ran. Very well-organized. My companion briefly spoke to the owner about it, and he truly complimented me on the way he handled it. A truly wonderful experience, and so incredibly busy, but always wonderful to see. Keep it up there, it really shines through. That things are going well.

Yesterday, during a bike ride, I had delicious apple pie and cappuccino here. I was really surprised by the quality of the food and drinks!!! I hadn't been to such a good restaurant in a long time. And the service was fantastic! It was busy on the terrace, but there was still time for a chat and to bring a high chair. Fantastic!

The food is really great! The welcome was also fantastic. We also stopped by often for drinks. However, we were served by someone who felt a bit too free with us. We were addressed with, "And how are these cuties doing?" Look, I'm definitely not difficult. But I didn't play marbles with this guy.

Everything was absolutely fantastic: beautiful location, friendly people, and delicious food. What more could you want? 😉

I always find it very pleasant and comfortable at Boshuis Drie. I'm very hearing impaired, and last time I was able to reserve a table outside under the canopy. It was a great spot where I could easily hear my table companion! It's a shame it's no longer possible to reserve that spot for a week and a half from now...

A fantastic forest house with a large and small lunch menu. At 5:00 PM, we were able to choose from both menus. We started with soup. It was mustard soup and was delicious. For the main course, we had fillet satay. It was good meat, and my wife loved the satay sauce that came with it. There was also a delicious dessert. I also want to compliment the staff. They were friendly and attentive. In short, it's a joy to have lunch or dinner here, and if we're ever in the area again, we'll definitely be back.

Highly recommended. The staff was friendly and incredibly professional. The venison stew was excellent, and the wine was also very tasty. We took a few bottles home with us. Our dog was welcome. It was a bit cramped, but our dog isn't very big, and she fit comfortably under the table. We were immediately given a bowl of water, and the staff were very careful when serving the food so she didn't trip over her. There's also a lovely atmosphere and a beautiful spot in the woods.

We were with two dogs, and what kindness and hospitality! It was so wonderful to be able to eat surrounded by such warmth. Water and treats were brought immediately. The food was also delicious! (Haassate).

We were there on a Tuesday... and the door said: Closed Monday and Tuesday. But we've been there many times in the past. It was excellent then, both inside and out.

Werkelijk prachtige omgeving, sfeervol en gezellig terras, twee maal diner genoten echt top! Vooral het voorgerecht van eigen gerookte zalm ( de rookkast staat verderop in de tuin ) is een aanrader! Het goed en leuk op elkaar ingespeelde team leggen je in de watten, het plezier onderling spat ervan af!

During bike ride we had coffee here. Beautiful location and very friendly service. Ordered cake with the famous forest fruit compote. Compote delicious but too bad the cake was not home-made. According to us from the supermarket.

Over the years we have regularly stopped here – after a walk, for a cup of coffee with apple pie or a lunch. This time we enjoyed a delicious pancake and an old-fashioned dessert on the terrace: both the ice cream with advocaat and the sorbet were appreciated. The service was super friendly and everything was served quickly. Boshuis Drie remains a nice place to come back to, with a good atmosphere and familiar hospitality.

After a long walk we drove here to have a drink and some snacks. After waiting for a while, no one was at our table outside, while there were enough staff walking around. Finally got a menu, after which we waited another 20 minutes without anyone coming to take our order. Decided to order our drinks elsewhere.
