After a long walk, I ate fantastic ginger pancakes here. They weren't burnt anywhere and the ginger was plentiful. The coffee was also good.

We had a delicious meal surrounded by greenery; it’s really one of those places where you automatically assume everything is healthier (spoiler: the hamburger wasn't, but it was tasty). I went for the hamburger, someone else for the pulled pork, and there were also two satay skewers on the table. Those satay skewers were surprisingly good in terms of flavor, really tender and well-seasoned. However… you could tell it was young chicken. For us seasoned city dwellers, that was a bit of a reality check moment. Just a little too “close to the source,” so to speak. The hamburger and pulled pork were also a hit; just solid comfort food. All in all, a nice place: good food, relaxed atmosphere, and beautiful surroundings. You come here for the combination of nature and food… and might leave with a slightly more realistic idea of ​​where your chicken comes from.

What fantastic customer service! I don't experience this very often anymore. First, we had a pancake and bitterballen on Saturday, and then returned on Sunday for lunch with the family. There were 7 of us, we hadn't made a reservation, and it was sunny and therefore busy. But that wasn't a problem; things were arranged and tables were moved around, and just like that, we were seated perfectly, and in the sun. The service is truly fantastic, so warm and cheerful; we felt super welcome and very well taken care of. The pancakes are incredibly tasty, and I also recommend the bitterballen, with a Chouffe on tap!

An ideal spot for a lunch break after a long walk through the Speulderbos. Many walkers, cyclists, and day-trippers, but also visitors from the village itself. It is a location with a rich history. Around the year 800, Irish missionaries founded a small chapel here. The current facade still contains a few of the old elements from that time. The current building is a listed farmhouse dating from 1765. Over the years, it also served as a stopping place for stagecoaches and overnight accommodation for members of the royal family. The result is a cozy and intimate atmosphere and friendly service.

What a cozy place. We walked in unannounced, but the staff found a spot and cleared a table with a smile. The restaurant is tastefully decorated, but it is quite dark at a number of tables. The service is warm and very efficient; even though it was quite full inside, the drinks and dishes arrived quickly. We chose the fish. The combo with sea bass was well prepared. The salmon in a herb crust was very dry, perhaps because the crust had been applied long before baking, and had therefore absorbed most of the juices from the salmon. Next time we will go for the vegetarian main courses.

12/3/26: What delicious pancakes! Perfectly cooked, nice and thin, crispy edges, delicious batter... Apparently, it's not easy for many restaurants (even pancake restaurants), but here they can do it! The staff is also friendly, hospitable, and flexible!!! They really try to please you, and they succeed. We'll be back soon for more!!

Great food in the woods near Drie.

Great place to stop at during a day in the woods. Super friendly, dogs are welcome inside and outside, the best pancakes (Dutch!) you find around and good coffee. The burgers and the rest of the food (they are famous for their stew, it seems like) also look delicious. We'll be back!!

As my children say: "It was delicious. I ate it all!" I can't imagine a higher compliment. Highly recommended!!

I didn't eat or drink there. It was very crowded inside. But I did enjoy a lovely walk through a beautiful, diverse forest. It felt good to park the car in a spot where people are constantly walking around.

A fantastic restaurant. Very popular with hikers and cyclists. We were there on a weekday, but it was packed. Even though we hadn't made a reservation, we still managed to get a nice spot in the hunting room. We enjoyed the croquettes and soup.

We love coming here regularly after a walk in the woods surrounding the Boshuis. Otherwise, we're happy to drive a bit further. ;-) It's often a bit busier on nice days, but even then the service is friendly, efficient, and welcoming. Definitely recommended.

Yes, the staff is really friendly and enthusiastic. The kitchen is truly fantastic, with delicious, refined dishes. We had the catch of the day, sea bass with sea bream (see photo). The price-quality ratio is excellent. We had already finished our plate before the photo was taken. A bowl of fresh fries and various vegetables were on the side.

We dined at Boshuis Drie for the first time today, and it was just as great as we're used to at De Zwarte Boer. We'll definitely be back.

This is a must-dine when visiting the Veluwe. After a visit in 2019, we returned for a week's holiday in the Veluwe, and after our first positive experience, we returned last week. This place offers everything you expect from a good restaurant: good food, a pleasant atmosphere, and friendly and attentive staff. As you drive up, you'll recognize this cozy restaurant by the light shining in the darkness along the dark road. Once you step inside, you're embraced by the warm atmosphere and inviting decor, perfect for a relaxing week on the Veluwe. It reminds me of a Disney movie: suddenly, there's the inn in the woods, where it's warm and cozy inside. We tried several game dishes, and they were all delicious. The side dishes are also perfectly suited to the autumn and the dishes themselves. From meat to side dish, everything is prepared with the same care and attention. For example, the red cabbage was truly fantastic and paired perfectly with the autumnal dishes. The staff is constantly focused on your experience; Are you ready for the next course, do you want another drink, etc.? This is why I eat out; you don't want to keep asking for these things yourself. That kind of service is unique these days, but luckily they still have it here. All in all, the conclusion is: you really have to go here!

A really nice place for lunch, the staff were very helpful. We brought a 1.5-year-old, and the staff were very accommodating. They even made suggestions to speed up his food and adjust the portion size. All of these suggestions made us feel comfortable right away. The food was delicious, the hut is incredibly cozy and has a nice bit of history. Parking is available in front for several cars. The cottage is also located next to a cycling route, which was convenient for our trip.

Boshuis Drie is fantastically situated in the heart of the Ermelo woods and is easily accessible by car, bike, or on foot. The restaurant, which is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays, is busy the rest of the week. Want to be guaranteed a seat? Then a reservation is essential. But please note: reservations are only accepted for lunch or dinner. So, for just a cup of coffee and pastry, it's not recommended to make a reservation (listed on the website under "opening hours"). Unfortunately, after we were seated, we were told this somewhat bluntly, because "that's how it works here." Reservations can only be made by phone, so it would have been helpful if I had been reminded of this when making the reservation. If you do want coffee and pastry, I recommend choosing a different location, as the chance of finding a seat is very slim. The restaurant is beautiful, cozy, and atmospheric inside, but not very spacious. The seating is a bit unsettling due to visitors lingering in the aisles and walking in and out. The outdoor terrace has several heaters. However, the food was delicious and excellent value for money. Will we ever come back here again? No, not at all.

You'll literally step back in time in this beautiful restaurant. And, importantly, the food is delicious!

The cappuccino was good, but the apple pie came straight from the refrigerator. The service was rather indifferent, especially the Chinese man (the owner, perhaps). He simply let us wait and walked past our table several times. We had to ask him ourselves if we could order something. Then he brought the menu and sat us down again. Ten minutes later, someone else came to take our order, and then someone else brought the ice-cold apple pie. When we paid, it turned out that four coffees and two slices of apple pie with whipped cream cost over 25 euros! Such a shame; you won't be seeing me there again anytime soon.

A very nice restaurant located in the middle of the forest, about 5 km from Ermelo. A very friendly welcome right away. The cake was delicious, and the recommended wine was good. We felt very comfortable there.

We only drank beer, different kinds, and everything was delicious. We stopped by by chance while passing by. We ordered fries, but the waiters forgot, and we later cancelled because we had to leave. There are plenty of waiters, but they only come when you call them. Will we go back? Definitely YES.
