A really beautiful restaurant. A high chair was already ready upon arrival. We were able to sit down right away. We were immediately asked what we wanted to drink and it was on the table within 1 minute. The food was delicious; the tournedos was cooked exactly medium rare, the right temperature, and the spareribs were also delicious, the meat fell right off the bone. The sweet potato fries are highly recommended. Throughout the meal, we were asked if the food was enjoying itself and if they could do anything else. In short, top-notch service and delicious food. I would definitely come here again, even with a little one.

The hamburger costs 20 euros. It is a portion for a 7-year-old girl. The meat was burnt and dry. The atmosphere was like a funeral.

Exceptionally nice staff who welcomed us warmly and creatively catered to our needs, including settling the bill separately. The satay menu was very tasty and plentiful. We were also very satisfied with the table service. The staff kept a close eye on us, so we didn't have to raise our hand when we wanted to order a drink. It was a truly enjoyable evening out.

Just like always, the atmosphere at De Beren is great, and so is the food. There were 18 of us, and we took advantage of the satay menu promotion for 9.95. We had reserved 3 tables for 6 people. Technically, we weren't allowed to sit at one table, but a nice employee in Veenendaal arranged this for us anyway. Great 👍🏻. We also all received nice Beren socks 🥰.

We had a nice meal, but unfortunately the promotional price was not applied to the bill. I reported this by phone, but I find it a shame that you have to pay close attention to this yourself. Therefore, always check your receipt before paying, especially if a promotion applies. If you pay quickly and don't bring the receipt, you apparently just pay the normal rate. That's a pity, because it detracts from an otherwise good experience. I called immediately upon getting home, but received no service or compensation whatsoever; what a shame.

We have dined here frequently in the past to our satisfaction. This time, however, it was a major disappointment. The table remained cluttered with empty glasses, bottles, and plates all evening. By the end of the evening, there was no room left. We hardly saw any staff; they were mainly busy chatting amongst themselves about guests. When ordering, someone at our table changed their mind about what they wanted. Changing it was no longer possible. Once ordered, it was ordered. As a result, my father-in-law received a sauce on his meat that he does not like. This happened again with dessert. For dinner, we received two small bowls of fries for seven people. We had to ask twice for mayonnaise and tissues to clean our hands. The lady who served us was unfriendly and very curt. She walked around grumpy all evening in a shirt full of stains. What was supposed to be a nice and pleasant 83rd birthday turned into a disappointment. He is very sad...

Good evening, I went for a nice dinner at De Beren with my wife today. What struck me was that the older staff were out serving the food, while the youngsters behind the bar were having a great time together. I think it’s supposed to be the other way around. But of course, we still had a good meal.

Service very good. The employee was really helpful regarding the lactose allergy. There is also plenty of choice in the dinner menu for people who have trouble with lactose! It is a pity that they do not have lactose-free desserts on the menu. The food was good, for a great price.

We arrived at 11:45, unfortunately the door was still closed. That can happen. We were told we could choose a spot in the back corner opposite the kitchen. Mind you, fifteen minutes after opening time we took a seat at a dirty table; it seems to me the staff had had enough. The starter was delicious! During the meal, we constantly had to listen to the managers refusing to release the waitress (August 14, 15, 16, and she was completely fed up with it and didn't care) and the female cook who just wouldn't stop talking. Gossiping about new staff, etc. The main course was pork tenderloin with seasonal vegetables (read: bell peppers, onions, and mushrooms) and a greasy schnitzel with vegetables just like that on the side (didn't eat a single bite of schnitzel). We walked out and were not asked if it was to our liking. But unfortunately, we still paid €85. No more De Beren Veenendaal for us.

Quite a few things went wrong several times when ordering; the pork tenderloin was tough according to several people, and there were long waits between courses. The staff were friendly, though.

We were politely offered a cup of coffee for the inconvenience. We ended up having dinner after all. It was delicious. We will certainly come back again for the high tea.

We had high tea for two on July 3rd. The food was good, but it was incredibly disappointing that everything was placed on the table at the same time. As a result, the hot dishes were cold by the time you started eating them. Really annoying. The staff weren't paying much attention either; we ended up going to the counter ourselves to ask for water for tea.

We had the 4-course dinner via Social Deal. We received the soup as a starter fairly quickly, followed by the croquettes. But that was all there was. Next, we waited over an hour for the main courses below, about which there is little to complain, except that in my personal opinion, there were a bit too few fries.
