The atmosphere is good, the service friendly and helpful, the starters are nice but always come with toasted bread (I see that as a filler); you can also ask if you would like bread with that, of course for an extra charge.

Great place! Tasty food, friendly staff. If it were closer, I’d go more often. Go take a look upstairs too! Maybe the wine rack has already been installed 😉

One of the tastiest oat milk cappuccinos I've tasted in ages! With a cute little heart in it.

We had a delicious meal! Good dishes and friendly staff. What is also quite unique these days is that you can choose side dishes with the main course. We had fries with mayonnaise and chicory with ham and cheese.

The food was incredibly delicious and served in reasonable portions. It arrived super fast, even though the restaurant was full. The service was very friendly, and there was always someone available when needed. In my opinion, the prices are fair and reflect the quality. I'd gladly come back again and enjoy the delicious food once more.

My parents and I had an incredibly delicious lunch here. My father had a delicious club sandwich. My mother and I had the Lunch For Two with a satay sandwich and a smoked salmon sandwich. It also came with a delicious tomato and mustard soup. The coffee here is also very good, with lactose-free or vegan options instead of cow's milk. The staff is super friendly and does everything to ensure you have a lovely lunch. Of course, Elburg is also great to walk through. Thanks for everything!

After bumping around the cobblestones of Elburg in the wheelchair, this is a relief. Every entrance has a ramp to get inside, some a bit steeper. Furthermore, the staff was friendly and the food was delicious.

Lunch (large portions) on a terrace on a Sunday morning, when many shops are closed.

The cup of cappuccino with the pastry was not served simultaneously; a bit of a shame and a waste to let the first cappuccino get cold. So, after the pastry was delivered, I ordered a second cappuccino, which was paid for by the restaurant afterwards due to the inconvenience. The hassle wouldn't have been necessary with better timing.

I have ordered coffee and cake a few times already. However, the cake invariably arrives when the coffee is already finished. Very disappointing.

Food was really good, the Elburg onion soup was the best onion soup I’ve ever had. The kids meatball was also really tasty and I’m not sure if this is a regular thing but they have bouncy castles at the back of the restaurant- great food, nice atmosphere and the kids are entertained. Everything was great!

Had a lovely dinner on the terrace with the family in the evening! The prices are slightly higher than average, but the food there is truly amazing! The Sirlion steak was a really thick piece of meat, and I haven't had a Rib Eye as good anywhere else as here! I can recommend dining here if you are staying in Elburg or the surrounding area!

We went out for dinner on Saturday with 4 people. The restaurant and terrace were cozy and full. We had reserved in advance and were immediately escorted to a table upon arrival. We were immediately presented with a tablet and asked what we wanted to drink and if we wanted a bread board. Less than 2 minutes later, it was already on the table. A short time later, our order was taken, and less than fifteen minutes later, it was in front of us. The food was really good; everything was equally tasty. The staff were young but did their job exceptionally well!! We will definitely eat there again.

Recently enjoyed the Vischpoort Salad here, delicious! I did ask for a slice of lemon, though, because that really belongs with fish. I received a whole lemon cut into pieces, enough to share with the neighbors who had also just started on this salad. And then there was still some left over to put in my cola.... Next time, please include lemon as standard! Update: I saw that you are open again, congratulations 🥳! Do you still serve the Vischpoort Salad on the terrace? Because if so, we are happy to drive a long way out of our way! Visited again after a few visits. The food is delicious but the service is deplorable; I wasn't the only one who thought so, there was grumbling all around us too. No one paid attention to our part of the terrace; further down the street, a girl was busy (holiday job?). We had to go inside ourselves for a menu after a long wait. Once we had it, however, we were asked within a minute if we had made a choice yet… Others had to go inside to ‘be allowed’ to pay. Just walking away wouldn't have been noticed by anyone… As mentioned: the food was really good. But when we wanted to pay ourselves, there was no one to be seen again… So we went back inside ourselves. And there they stood, four of them, chatting away at the bar. No one at the cash register. Next time, just a door down!

Definitely recommended for when the Europarks Zuider Zee restaurant is closed again in the high season; you can enjoy delicious lunch, drinks, and dinner here. It was delicious again, we will be back.

At first we thought it would be a tourist trap, but no, it is a hospitality business that has been running for years and even after 20 years still has a few items on a tablet (nostalgia). The lunch was fantastic, and the wine simply delicious. Highly recommended for the local area and tourists.

This afternoon, our whole family (including children and grandpa & grandma) had a lovely lunch at Restaurant De Haas in Elburg. What a wonderful experience! Everyone was enthusiastic about the food. The soup is truly delicious. My wife and my parents chose the ‘Kwart past twaalfjes’ and enjoyed the wild mushroom, mustard, and onion soups. All three were delicious and full of flavor. My daughter and I had the hot meat sandwiches, which were super tasty – with a delicious satay sauce (even for the satay-averse members of our family, this was a huge success). My son went for the carpaccio sandwich, which also tasted excellent. The portions are generous (actually too big; we really indulged!). We sat comfortably on the terrace on the cozy little street, with a view of the historic atmosphere of Elburg. Inside, it also looks very atmospheric: a beautiful monumental building with a warm, inviting feel. In short: highly recommended for a nice lunch or dinner with family or friends. We will definitely be back! 👍

It was a pleasant and delicious visit. We sat outside. The service was very friendly and helpful. The beers from the small local brewery were very tasty. The food was good, not exceptionally good, but delicious, and the portion sizes were perfect. We had a lovely evening and would definitely come back on our next vacation.

What a cozy place this still is. We had a delicious meal with 5 adults and 2 children. Friendly staff who are also up for a joke. Tasty food, served quickly. It was wonderfully cool inside last Tuesday evening (27-28 degrees outside).

Tight spot on the terrace. We had to move the table first just to be able to sit down. We were asked our drink wishes immediately, though, instead of being asked what we were there for. Quite pricey, but included "side dishes". Unfortunately, the fried potatoes were undercooked and, just like the vegetables and fries, cold. Asked for a tiny kids' portion of fries, but still received a 2-person serving. A waste, then. A beer was brought that hadn't been ordered, but the waiter refused to take it away. Mine, that is, he said. It just appeared on the bill later. Didn't pay for that.

You thought you were going to have a nice bite to eat? Well, never again for us. After signaling several times that we wanted to order, we were simply completely ignored because two female waitresses thought it was more important to sit and smoke while still giving you arrogant stares, and the third waitress thought it was more important to go sit at the table with the guests. We paid for our drinks and left very quickly. It's a real shame because it all looked nice.

Cozy place and friendly staff. However, I found it very disappointing to walk into a restaurant where everyone has a tablet in front of them as a menu. Also, the food arrived within 5 minutes of ordering. For some, that might actually be a plus, but when I go out to eat, I want to dine comfortably and not be out again within an hour. The food was tasty, but not very special. The dessert, on the other hand, was delicious.

Had lunch; my friend had a hot meat sandwich. Generously filled. I had the club sandwich myself, also well-filled, just a pity the toast wasn't warm. Delicious coffee and cappuccino. Very friendly service and they kept a close eye on everything. Our dog was given water without even asking!!

What was disappointing was that smoking was allowed on the terrace, so you're sitting there enjoying your meal and a nasty smell of smoke wafts over your plate every time.

I spent a day in Elburg as a tourist on Easter Monday and had lunch at De Haas. Beautiful location and good atmosphere. However, I ordered a hot meat sandwich without mushrooms (due to an allergy) and received mushrooms on my plate three times in a row. At that point, it was embarrassing; it was clear the kitchen was just fishing them out, and the satay sauce had somehow been removed from the plate. So when the plate was brought by the waitstaff for the third time, still containing mushrooms, cold meat, and no sauce, it was a bit sad for a moment. The rest of my party had almost finished their food by then. In the end, I also had to leave the onion and bacon mix untouched because I couldn't safely eat it, and after asking again, I finally received satay sauce. The waitstaff seemed to find it a bit annoying, but didn't offer any compensation.

Today, we thoroughly enjoyed the Easter brunch with the family 🐣 The warm salmon fillet (unfortunately no photo) was a particular hit. We were less impressed with the dessert. We sat upstairs and that was fine, but there was a lot of noise in the large hall downstairs. Unfortunately, it was almost impossible to hear each other there. But all in all, 4 stars ⭐

We had a nice meal here last time, but when we wanted to have lunch on the terrace today, we were unfortunately ignored by the staff twice. Possibly because we were wearing cycling gear. So, not recommended for a stop for sports cyclists.

It is easy with children because there is a bouncy castle. Unfortunately, I was served the wrong wine first; it was taken back, but it was still on the bill!(??). For my main course, I had the carpaccio meal salad, but instead, a plate with scampi and other fish arrived. I hadn't ordered that... this was taken away again, and not much later I received the carpaccio after all, but this could never have been a meal salad; in our opinion, this was the carpaccio from the starter (not in terms of price, they just charged the €25 for it). We didn't say anything more about it because it was taking much longer than expected and the rest of the party had already finished eating... and then you get the bill on which everything is charged, including what we didn't eat but which was done wrong by the wait staff. And hefty prices for what is served. No more De Haas for us.

We ate here a while ago. We arrived with low expectations, wanting a quick bite! However, once we were seated, we were pleasantly surprised by the delicious food and the friendly service. In short: a lovely restaurant with a good menu!

I had very little choice, including vegetarian/vegan options. I chose a portobello mushroom with warm stuffed vegetables: it was tough, not warm, and sat on a large blob of raw vegetables. The fried potatoes and fries were of mediocre quality. I had to ask three times for the "wirlof" (fried potato). The mustard soup was also of poor quality. Almost all desserts were out of stock early Saturday evening. The Monchou cake I ordered had almost no crust and was placed crookedly on a plate with some kind of sticky residue on the bottom and sides. It looked good to my table companion. The service is efficient, but you don't really see it. Production is running smoothly.

I've just been here for the third time. And every time, I'm still amazed at what a fantastic restaurant it is. We drove all the way from Brabant especially for it. The meat is so good, and the atmosphere and staff are also truly fantastic. Definitely recommended!

Coffee and tea. A small cup of coffee. And apple pie and monchou with it. The apple pie was served very cold. Not very tasty either. And the monchou was very firm. The atmosphere of the restaurant is great. Mood lighting, etc.

Very good service, 5stars Starter, main course bit poor in quantity and presentation of we consider the price. But again service, location and quality are very good.

We regularly go for coffee at this restaurant. They have excellent coffee. We've also regularly enjoyed lunch or dinner with several people, always to our complete satisfaction. Unfortunately, our last lunch experience was very poor. We ordered a hot meat sandwich, which we had done before. This time, we received a plate with various items topped with a glassy mass that looked more like fried bacon than hot meat. I asked the waiter if this was hot meat, and he said, "I don't think so." I then asked him to inquire about whether this was the proper way to serve it. He returned with the rude reply that, according to the chef, it was hot meat. We had ordered this menu before, so we knew what it was supposed to be. By asking, we gave them another chance to make it right, as we had always enjoyed this restaurant. Probably, due to the crowd, they cooked the meat with the other items, which was a complete failure. The rude and disrespectful reaction made us decide to only come here for the coffee. And then we hope they don't hire someone who will mess this up as well. We know good chefs are rare, but you'd have to be incredibly bad to ruin such a simple lunch. De Haas management, take a closer look at your staff, because this will cost you your reputation and customers.
