We ended up at ’t Olde Regthuys in Elburg by chance this evening and were pleasantly surprised! You rarely come across a hostess like this in the hospitality industry. We got to taste her love for the establishment, both in the food and in the delicious wine and liqueur. Highly recommended!

The two of us each had the mussels in white wine broth. It was absolutely delicious with the fries. We also had a couple of beers that you can't get anywhere else. The service was friendly; they even wanted to speak German with us. If we're ever in Elburg again, we'll definitely eat there again.

Just had a holiday, ate sandwiches here and there; this one was the most expensive and by far the worst. Why bad. A tuna pita 18 euros. The tuna had absolutely no dressing, not a bit of mayonnaise, no pickles, no capers. A can of cheap tuna just thrown onto a pita. I had a brie sandwich myself, 18 euros; again, barely any garnish and minimal brie. I just walked right past this place.

The ribeye was cooked completely unevenly, ranging from well-done to completely raw. The black garlic sauce was more like a pepper sauce. The third dish was somehow forgotten, and when it finally arrived, the bacon on top was, at best, soggy. So the third person had to watch them eat. Despite the 27-degree heat, there was no ice in the drinks, and the bottle of water wasn't even in a cooler. Disappointing for the price.

Despite the crowds, the super-warm hostess still had time for genuine attention! The lunch was top-notch! Too bad about all those tourists shuffling past these tourists' table.....(smiling smiley unfortunately cannot be added)

Had a delicious lunch this afternoon. The fish soup was exquisite. A solid 10. As was the mustard soup with bacon bits. Also a solid 10. The pokebowl with crispy chicken, the trout sandwich, and the pulled chicken sandwich were amazing. If you happen to be in Elburg, take a seat on the terrace and let your taste buds be surprised. We will definitely be back!

Hello everyone! What a wonderful evening we had with friends at this equally wonderful restaurant, run by attentive and friendly staff who speak French – a true delight. The kitchen delighted our friends, to whom we introduced this truly exceptional restaurant. Here, efficiency, warmth, availability, and quality of dishes prevail, which are always served with professionalism, and now also in French with a Dordogne accent. 5 stars for the overall service at this restaurant where we come regularly. Thanks to this amazing team and congratulations to the kitchen staff who always excel with exquisite dishes, in which we taste time and again the pursuit of perfection that makes this restaurant so unique. We had just arrived in Elburg when it started raining. So, coffee with... at this restaurant. Delicious coffee and the pastry was also superb.

Atmosphere, food, and service were top-notch! We had a truly delicious meal and received excellent service!

For the main prize, we received two sparsely filled sandwiches for lunch. (Carpaccio and pulled chicken) We received more dry bread than filling; when asked if everything was to our liking, we indicated this, but nothing was done about it.

We ate here prior to a concert in the Kloostertuin. We made a reservation in advance, which was an excellent suggestion given the crowds in Elburg during a concert. The staff were very friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. The meal was delicious. For starters, tuna and tomato & leek. Accompanied by a delicious Pinot Grigio. Afterwards, The Catch and a small stew. Pecorino cheese (with the fish). Afterwards, a cheese board with white port and Feuerheerds 10-year-old Tawny. And a cheesecake. No time left for coffee or tea. Everything was very tasty and served perfectly on time, taking the concert into account. In short, we will definitely come back here again, even without a concert, to enjoy the meal in peace and quiet.

Delicious lunch with gluten-free options

The four of us had an excellent dinner at ‘t Olde Regthuys on Monday evening! The coq-au-vin, the catfish, and the ribeye were all prepared wonderfully—pure class! We will definitely be back here again!

Following our previous visit and less pleasant experience regarding service and food quality, the second time certainly surpassed it by 100%. A nice and cozy restaurant in the center of Elburg

Ordered coffee with cake. The cheesecake was not tasty, a small, thin slice for €7! On the sour side (chemical taste) and a soggy, thin, tasteless cookie base. Price/quality ratio not okay. Coffee was good though.

A great spot for a break right in the heart of Elburg. You can sit comfortably in the sun and enjoy a very large portion of delicious sweet potato fries with truffle mayo.

We had a wonderful meal yesterday at Olde Regthuys in Elburg. The service was friendly and attentive, and the location is beautiful. The portions of the appetizers and main courses were perfect. Only the side dishes, salad and sweet potato fries, were relatively large. We felt they could have had less, so unfortunately, we had to return. If we ever vacation in Elburg again, we will definitely be back.

A delicious Boxing Day dinner and highly recommended! Because we took it easy on Boxing Day, we decided to dine out at 't Olde Regthuys in Elburg on Boxing Day. At that time, the surprise menu wasn't available, but they were still serving the Christmas menu. I chose the four-course Christmas menu with meat, and my wife chose the vegetarian option (because she's pregnant). Although I'd only sat on the terrace here before, this dinner was a real discovery. It's definitely recommended if you enjoy good food! The staff also recommended a matching beer for each course. The hostess knew exactly what she was talking about, and the beers paired perfectly with the dishes. We'll definitely be back. Until next time!

We thoroughly enjoyed the hamburger. It was especially delicious with the sauerkraut and blue cheese. The mustard soup also tasted really good. The service was friendly and very attentive, even asking if we wanted a large or small (starter) bowl.

There were four of us. We come to Elburg and here almost every year. We enjoy a drink and a meal of bitterballen. We always sit outside and enjoy the view of the town center. Since we come by boat and cook ourselves, we can't comment on the food. The service is very friendly and quick. The atmosphere in the town center is simply wonderful.

Nice restaurant with surprising beers. It was a nice gesture on Friday afternoon to offer a free drinks platter. The staff was friendly and helpful. They even took our picture. I really enjoyed the Delict beer. It's a kind of amber beer with a slightly sweet aftertaste. I'll definitely be back for this beer.

Tasty fish soup that you can order in 2 sizes. The toastie was really good too. Proper bread and double layers of good melted cheese and ham. Friendly and prompt service. Only the food took a little long to come, this would've been a perfect score.

Prices don't reflect the quality. The food was decent and the service was good, but the prices are truly out of line. Asking for tap water with the wine and then later finding out that we'd been charged twice for 6 euros per carafe was a real disappointment.

Last night, my husband and I had a delicious meal at 't Olde Regthuys. My husband had tuna as a starter, and I had Livar pâté with prawns. Delicious. Afterward, we had osso buco and duck breast. The duck breast was a bit tough, but everything was very flavorful. The service was super friendly and hospitable; we felt truly welcome. In short, highly recommended. We'll definitely be back 😍

We had lunch here and it was a bit disappointing. The carpaccio was too cold and very sparsely topped. Not really good value for money. When we mentioned gluten/lactose, we were met with eye-rolling, which wasn't very friendly.

Service was terrible, milk and sugar were forgotten, then thrown at us for one person, followed by an announcement that the table was reserved for an hour??? A very warm welcome! We paid a rather expensive amount! And then we quickly left!
