We ate here on Christmas Eve. We had a choice of a 3- or 4-course menu. We went for the 4-course option. €65 per person. The food was fine, but not worthy of a Christmas dinner. And certainly not €65. A bit disappointing. The tartare was served too cold. The salad was small for 3 people. The fries were soggy. The sorbet was fine, though.

We made a reservation for the clubhouse tonight. Upon arrival, it was closed, and we were directed to another room. What a huge disappointment. We weren't told the clubhouse would be closing. There was no mention of it in the reservation either. We ate there in mid-November. The food was good as usual, and the service was good too, although they did have to bend down quite a bit to get food. Bad for their backs. A huge disappointment for the atmosphere. I've been coming there for a long time for the atmosphere, and not being able to sit there was a huge disappointment.

We were here with a large group for Christmas dinner. We had made a reservation two months in advance for a specific time, but at the reserved time (7:00 PM), the table still wasn't ready. That can happen, but if you end up having to wait forty minutes, you're making a very poor impression as a restaurant (poor management). Furthermore, some of the group had to drive an hour and a half home after dinner. A free drink while waiting would have been appropriate for the inconvenience. Then, the kitchen was very slow again, and the appetizer didn't arrive until 9:00 PM. The food itself was okay, but a few things could have been better. For example, the vegetables we ordered consisted mainly of onions and were left uneaten. On one side of the table, two small bowls of fries (and mini mayonnaise, mini salad, and applesauce?) had to be divided among eight people.

The society is no longer available, relegated to a 1960s hall, with apparently new wallpaper.

We had booked a table for three with reasonably high expectations. The service was very busy, probably mostly interns, but it wasn't good. We waited a long time, forgot the wine, then ordered a second beer three times, which never arrived, and there was a lot of wandering around without a purpose, which made things very unsettling. We ordered two pumpkin pasta dishes and one vegan curry. The pasta was fine, the curry bremzout. I even sent the curry back, something I'd done for the first time. The kitchen simply denied it, even though all three of us had confirmed it was very bad. They also confused zucchini and eggplant, because they had put one on the menu and the other in it. We also received two portions of lukewarm fries and applesauce...???!!! It's not a good idea with these dishes! We had to pay for the curry in full, and it turned into an annoying argument. Not recommended!

Delicious Schnitzel Almelo and Sorbet.

Nice restaurant in the beautiful theater hotel Almelo. Both indoors and on the terrace or just relax. We had a delicious meal and the staff was attentive.

Mmm, yes, beautiful terrace, friendly staff, not very smooth on arrival, luckily better later. Nice menu. Unfortunately the steak was not cooked properly for 4 people. Neatly solved 4x a new dish. 3 were good but the 4th was a different steak... Dessert was good again. Nice weather, nice atmosphere.

I came to this restaurant when I was little when I still lived in the Twente region. Even now that I live more in the North of the country, I still come back to this restaurant from time to time (just like yesterday, February 19, 2023) and I continue to enjoy the food, the location, the atmosphere every time. and the staff. It's all in tip top condition and I will keep coming back here.

Reception moderate. Were not registered despite reservation. We didn't feel welcome. No attention to birthday boy. Food not prepared appetizingly. Meat dry, shrimp cocktail poor, pate not tasty. Big setback compared to previous times. Won't come again.

2 stars for: -Great ambience -Good quality of food Unfortunately, despite the good quality food, we didn't like it. The starter was ok (onion soup and crab salad). Unfortunately we didn't like the main course (grilled plate) at all. The meat was strangely seasoned and there was something underneath my meat that I couldn't 100% define. Maybe mashed potatoes with all the spices the kitchen had to offer?! The side dishes and dessert were ok. Of course, this is all a matter of taste, so it would only deduct half a star. But what absolutely didn't work was the service. 14 tables were occupied, 6 waiters were milling around. So there is absolutely no apparent reason why we weren't served and our plates weren't cleared. We spent 2.5 hours in the restaurant (involuntarily due to the long waiting times). We each had 2 drinks, although we had to fight hard for the 2nd one. Just like the bill. It was only brought after we asked two waiters for it. Thanks, but we won't be coming back.

We had high expectations of this restaurant, because of the reviews and surroundings. Unfortunately, our findings were poor. The starters were good. The main menu game stew was tasty and well prepared. The mix grill was very disappointing, very dry and a greasy sauce. The cauliflower was cooked through and the salad contained a lot of sauce. What bothered us most was that the service left much to be desired. When we entered we were asked whether it was convenient. Had to indicate several times that we wanted something to drink. Empty plates and glasses were not removed in a timely manner. When paying, we were not asked if everything was satisfactory. Shame about the service. This makes the experience minimal.

Very friendly staff and perfect food in a very nice atmosphere. I really have to say that it is one of the best restaurants I have ever encountered. The food alone is worth a trip to the restaurant and it is located in a wonderful, beautiful and old building from 1895.

Excellent kitchen, nice quiet atmosphere, and great price. Empty plates remained on the table for a very long time. Operation was still a bit uncertain.

5 stars are not enough here!!!! Very elegant restaurant in terms of furnishings, ambience and excellent cuisine. Top class!!! We were absolutely thrilled!!!! Prices reasonable. Top price-performance ratio!! There is also a winter garden and a terrace. We will come back in any case!!!

Had a delicious meal in luxurious surroundings with our parents for my father's 84th birthday. Great chairs, quiet spot, ideal for my hearing-impaired father. And the food was absolutely fantastic! Nothing but praise!
