We had a lovely meal outside last night! The food was fantastic, the location was great and the service was very friendly and attentive! Highly recommended!

To be avoided as they don’t seem to care about customer satisfaction at all, as you can read in quite a few reviews here. We as well had a very unpleasant experience at this place. Instead of ‘Fine’, ‘Rough’ would be a more appropriate name. We ordered a vol-au-vent (named videe on their menu) but unfortunately we had to wait more than half an hour after our starters because a new waitress didn’t pass the order. This is forgivable as such, but there were only about 5 tables and we were clearly waiting with an empty table for a long time, and nobody of the 4 staff seemed to care or question that. So clearly an issue with following up on their customers and service in general. Then, when we were off course bothered by the lack of attendance and we raised the issue, suddenly the food arrived after just 2 minutes, which is suspiciously fast. Indeed, these dishes lacked quality and authenticity due to the messy presentation, minimal quantity of chicken and artificially flavored sauce. Salad was not very fresh either. So OK, not making you smile at all and overpriced compared to the poor quality. But when they asked for feedback, I was fully transparent and gave them all the details about what could be improved. The waitress reacted badly to this and started saying we were impolite, apparently because we asked how long it would take for our food to arrive. Her behavior was rude and to be honest quite trashy, totally unacceptable towards restaurant customers. The location and the view of this restaurant are wonderful so it is really a shame that they are not able to deliver the basic quality and level of service expected of any restaurant, especially if you proflile yourself as a ‘refined’ place! I truly hope the owner can improve the quality of food and service but it will not be for me.

You come in, with a small child, and wait for almost an hour to get your food. You desperately try to catch the attention of one of the 3 servers. One sees you, you ask where is your food, she say she is going to ask the kitchen and never comes back. Later one comes back to say she didn’t place your order and that she is sorry it is her first day. The order comes back later. We had ordered two dishes of chicken. There was almost no chicken, it feels like one plate made to look like two portions, a salad that is clearly not fresh (brown and mushy). I think they didn’t have enough left and because we had to wait so long they were embarrassed to say. When you try to eat suddenly all servers come and ask you how it is going, in a very fakely-polite tone, you can’t have one bite without one asking how it is. If we had not asked about our food I don’t know how long they would have kept ignoring us. All them three, while we were sitting in the middle of the way to the terrace with a 4 year old kid. And then as you leave the one that never came back asks you how it was, you explain after having paid (very expensive by the way) and she says you where rude when you asked about your food (while claiming she went to check on your order but never came back) and then continues to insult you, while the one who forgot to place your order listen next to her and laughs. As the rest of the staff gathers around. Shameful display of disgusting behavior. Harassing a client who paid for something clearly not up to standard. I never expected much of the service because it was wrong the entire time we were there, but I didn’t expect being insulted on my way out. Don’t ruin your day: avoid this place. It is being sinked by a team of vulgar and trashy severs.

Limited menu, but very fresh products. Very good wine list (also available by the glass). Definitely an address to come back.

Just had dinner at Rest. Fine, on the Veerse Meer, a little past the town of Veere. Fortunately, that also means ample parking. Let me be honest, we are the father and mother of chef Martijn, but that does not mean that we are not critical, on the contrary. On birthdays we can talk for hours about the how and why of ingredients and preparation. But to the point now. My wife went for the fresh tuna salad. She did not say a word and just sat there enjoying it and occasionally let out a few mmmms. I came across bouillabaisse XL. The X and L also appear in the word Excellent, and that is it, described in one word. Well filled with a variety of shellfish and fish from the North Sea. The stock is made in advance in a traditional way and you can taste that, and very important; not sandy and not too salty. We were served by a nice lady who thought of a white wine to go with it that I did not know: A Verdeo Riskal. Excellent! Matched very well. Well, that must be another bill you might think . . . No way. The balance is way over to the quality side. Finally, I have to say, the restaurant is right on the lake and right on the harbor. What a view! We will come back here.

With a beautiful view of Veerse Meer this is a perfect spot for fresh and delicious fish and meat . New management and an ideal spot for coffee , lunch or dinner

We can only recommend this place. We went there for dinner and we had an amazing dinner. The fish is fresh and delicious, the kitchen is open and you can see how food is prepared. The location is new and everything is clean. We went on a windy and cloudy day and could not fully enjoy this spot in front of the sea, and cannot even imagine how amazing it will be in summer. 100% recommended!

Super! Easy reservations via the website. Very friendly staff. The spring menu was of good quality and very tasty and the children's menus were also very good. For people with sensitive hearing: this restaurant is also very pleasant acoustically!

What a nice place, beautifully situated ashore the Veerse Meer. The staff was very attentive and friendly. The menu was not extensive, but contained enough possibilities for each taste. The food was of very good qualty and prepared with dedication. Unfortunately the meat was cooked too long. My complaint was taken very serious and the problem was solved immediately. This is the only reason for my 4 star rating. Otherwise i had rated this restaurant with 5 stars. The price /quality ratio is simply good. This restaurant has added value for the region and is really worth visiting. We will certainly return in the nearby future.

Very nice place, but big disappointment when paying. We were charged €14 for a draft beer and a balloon of rosé, while the prices indicated on the menu were €5 for beer and €4.50 for rosé. Or a total of €9.50 normally. We did not understand this difference, and no explanation was given to us. Too bad, we won't be going back.

Not quite! The food was on the meager side. The dishes were okay. And for okay the price is on the high side. With a richly filled bouillabaisse for €30, I expect just a little more than a broth with some fruit de mer in it. The table lamps with white light are really not suitable.

A beautiful place to take a break during a bike ride - and the young man who served us was incredibly friendly. We enjoyed the coffee with stroopwafel!

Heerlijk gegeten (overheerlijke bisque), prachtige locatie (mooiste locatie van walcheren), vriendelijke bediening, makkelijk parkeren, top.

Prachtige ervaring, de kok maakte een prachtige zeevruchtenschotel en hield rekening met al onze wensen. Zeer goede prijs kwaliteit verhouding, zeer attente bediening, hier komen we terug, echt aan te bevelen.

Une adresse qui vaut le détour! Vue imprenable sur le port et sur le bras de mer. Ils viennent d’ouvrir il y a 2 jours (nouveaux propriétaires) donc carte limitée mais combien excellente. Accords justes.. vin associés parfaits. Une vraie surprise au rendez-vous ! On s’est régalés sans parler de l’accueil très sympathique. On y reviendra plus par hasard cette fois.

We had a very nice birthday party in the spacious and beautifully situated restaurant "Fine". The atmosphere was very pleasant, thanks to the friendly staff and the delicious soup and sandwiches. Highly recommended and we will definitely come back here again.

A nice accommodation, nice terrace, the tables were a bit cozy. The food was tasty but also well priced. The staff were very friendly and helpful. And the atmosphere was good.

Wat we bestelden om te eten was lekker maar weinig. Nadien nog irish coffee besteld ..... dat was een ramp. Weinig irish ,wel koffie maar bijna koud en de room was ook niet wat het moest zijn.... het glas werd langs alle kanten afgeveegd, waardoor het glas er echt niet smakelijk uit zag. Jammer dat ze dit durven serveren in zo´n mooie zaak.

We dronken een blond streekbiertje van het vat; Skuumkoppe en bestelden daarbij een biefstuk, genoten van het uitzicht op het meer. Een mooi bord werd geserveerd met een malse biefstuk op een Asperge met een heerlijk sausje... Meer moet dat niet zijn. Alles perfect gebakken en geserveerd.

Owner number so many at this beautiful location. Something changes every time, but not that much, so unfortunately there is no continuity, new people keep coming. But now we're finally trying it again, after being closed for a long time due to renovations and then Covid-19. Reservations via the website were perfect, but upon arrival we were not on the handwritten note. How is this possible, a bit strange and unprofessional? But luckily there was room. Decor adapted to current times, neat and clear and good chairs. Not enough shade outside on the large terrace, it was sunny and 30°C+, but only 2 parasols so we sat inside. The food was excellent, we had well-prepared soles with fries and salad. Very simple and sufficient for us. There is a pepper mill on the table, but unfortunately no salt mill, but a clumsy salt pot with a tiny wooden scoop (why?). Service is sweet but not particularly hospitable or attentive. For dessert we both had two scoops of ice cream which were delicious. Didn't have coffee now, it was just too hot for it. Total bill including tip €70 for the two of us and I think that is a reasonable price/quality ratio for this brasserie. Not particularly distinctive except perhaps the location. We have been coming there for 20/30 years or so. Unfortunately, our favorite operators are no longer there, but we can live with this. Update: restaurant is for sale, we are not surprised. In our opinion, the operators were aiming for a level that was never achieved and does not suit that location. Now just wait and see what's to come. Such a shame, perfect place.

We hebben heerlijk gegeten op een super mooie plek in de haven van Verte, bediening was top en de koks verstaan hun vak en zijn heel gepassioneerd bezig. Leuk is dat je ook de keuken in kan kijken vanaf tafel.

Good restaurant, service at a good level. Lobster was perfectly prepared, pure and delicious. Fish soup - the tastiest thing I have eaten. Pepper soup was also very good and fish & chips. Simple, easy, delicious.

Good fish restaurant without fuss; the chef lets the ingredients do the talking. Friendly, attentive service who knows the ins and outs. Very affordable for what they offer. We were a bit tempted by all the delicious food, which resulted in a high bill.

This restaurant is located right on the harbor with a lot of activity. I don't think the decoration is very attractive, but the food and service were absolutely great. You do notice that they have a slightly simpler menu, but what they have was absolutely great. So I definitely recommend it for Veere and the surrounding area.

Nice location! We had the lunch menu for €35 per person. P. Very tasty appetizer. Mussels good too. Rather small portions. We got a roll for 2 people. Additional bread costs extra. Therefore only 4 stars.

We reserveerden voor de zondagavond een tafeltje op aanraden van onze B&B gastvrouw. De bediening was vriendelijk en het uitzicht mooi. We deelden een borrel fruit de mer waarvan de mesjes en de roze garnalen lekker waren, maar de rest was smaakloos. Als hoofdschotel hadden we beiden de zeebaars en die was echt lekker maar dit samen met een glaasje witte wijn, geen aperitief en geen dessert of koffie voor 108€ vonden we toch vrij duur.

Very nice view from the terrace and very nice staff. Unfortunately the furniture on the terrace wasn't that nice. We sat at high tables with chairs that seemed a bit plain and no cushions. The food was very good and served appropriately. Since we were invited, I can't judge the price structure. However, a quick look at the map showed a corresponding price range. Parking space sufficient and wide enough. Overall a good 4 stars. There is still some room for improvement for us.

Mooie locatie in jachthaven, vriendelijke bediening! We werden vriendelijk onthaald, lekker gegeten. Voor ons moest het niet zo snel gaan, maar verder alles top! Met aperitief, glaasje wijn, water elk en digestief ongeveer €200. Prijs/kwaliteit meer dan OK!

Juist koffie gedronken was nog maar 9u dus maar was lekker zitten met al die kussens

I’ve been here twice. Always ordered fruits de mer. Nice seafood and great location. I like the restaurant’s decor as well!

Jaren geleden een hutje gehuurd bij de naburige zeilschool. Besloten te gaan fietsen, en na een slopende fietstocht van 120km kwamen wij 5 minuten voor ze dicht gingen aan. We vergingen van de honger, en voelden ons bezwaard toch nog wat te eten maar alles was al dicht in de omgeving. Ondanks dat we een groepje stoffige, bezwete tienerjongens waren en 5 minuten voor sluiting binnen kwamen, werden we nog hartelijk ontvangen en voelden we ons geen moment onwelkom. Al die jaren later staat me dat nog bij en dat verdient een hele dikke pluim.

Heerlijk lang getafeld bij Fine Veere. Wat een fantastische plek aan de jachthaven. Lieve dames in de bediening die ons alle tijd en ruimte hebben gegeven om te kiezen uit al het lekkers op de kaart. Van voor tot nagerecht en alles er tussenin, het was top! De kwaliteit is hoog, de omgeving is fantastisch en het eten is voortreffelijk! Voor herhaling vatbaar.

Zeer lekker gegeten. Stijlvol interieur, uitstekende bediening en een geweldig uitzicht. Wij komen terug.

Il servizio è molto gentile, competente e veloce. Il ristorante è arredato con ottimo gusto. I parcheggi per le auto sono gratuiti, disponibili e riservati appositamente davanti al locale. La qualità delle pietanze è buona.

Wij hebben in dit restaurant gedineerd. De locatie is perfect en op het terras heeft men een prachtig uitzicht. We hebben genoten van de oesters, kreeftensoep, zeetong en kaasplankje. Zeer vriendelijk personeel.

Mir sind manche Bewertungen immer wieder ein Rätsel, sehr schönes Ambiente, gutes Sharing Menü, aufmerksame Bedienung. Nein , das ist hier nicht Sterne Küche, aber wir befinden uns in nähe Domburg und da kostet alles nen bissl mehr, dafür ist es aber auch echt lecker. Uns hat es sehr gut gefallen und würden jederzeit wiederkommen.

Excellent seafood restaurant in a great place. The staff is extremely friendly and the menu is amazing ! They even have my favourite galician wine, the Albariño, the wine from my region in Spain ❤️

Heerlijk lunchen naast de bootjes. Blijft altijd bijzonder leuk. Garnalen kroketjes waren heerlijk, net als de salade.

Fine Veere is a great restaurant with a magnificent view and terrace. Staff is very nice and the food is great. Flawless service. A must visit.

Wir waren im Februar dort. Die Location ist sehr schön, aber kalt und zügig. Wir bestellten Scampis. Diese kamen als Ganzes, recht unlieb serviert, mit einer mini Schüssel Salat und einer kleinen ungesalzenen, trockenen Portion Fritten. Die Scampis voller Sand und nicht entdarmt… die Bedienung war sehr freundlich und brachte uns neue Portionen. Allerdings hatten wir für einen Preis von 31€ pro Portion mehr klasse erwartet. Wir werden das Restaurant mit sicher nicht nochmal besuchen.

Gutes Essen. Kann man nichts sagen. Aber sehr, sehr teuer. Muscheln mit Pommes kosten über 30€, Aperol Spritz mit fast nur Eis kostet 10€. Muss man wissen, ob man das wirklich will.

Geweldig restaurant, fijne bediening, uitstekende fruit de mer, kreeft, bouillabaisse. Leuke wijnkaart, prima witte wijnen, aanrader.

Lekker gegeten, goede bediening, mooi, modern en gezellig interieur maar prijs/kwaliteit te duur. Porties hoofdgerecht waren ook te klein. Jammer! Om die reden komen we niet meer terug. Het dessert met groene appel was wel overheerlijk!
