The ribs were tender and tasty, and the hamburger meat was tasty; the potatoes were just average, like regular potato chips.

Not the best experience all I have to say ☹️

We can only comment on the drinks, as we didn't eat anything. The Pornstar Martini is delicious, one of the best we've ever had! Friendly staff who serve quickly. Nice atmosphere.

The waiter with glasses is rude, doesn’t know the menu items

We encountered a very incompetent waiter, he was wearing glasses. He didn't even know what kind of hot chocolate they served. He also approached us while we were still drinking our drinks and insistently asked us to pay the bill, as he thought we might just leave.

The food was okay, but nothing special. The waitress seemed very uninterested.

We drunk yust Coffee. No biscuit. Poor service.

Terrible service, €5.50 for a cappuccino from a vending machine, it doesn't even taste like coffee. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

Attended on 17/9/25. Beautiful place, but very overpriced. €15.50 for 8 bitterballen. You can get 8 bitterballen for half the price at the place next door.

As tourist we were out enjoying the city after a canal cruise and decided to stop for a little something to eat. This location from the street looked warm and inviting and we were not disappointed. The fare was simple but welll prepared. We sample a local specialty, the Dutch Butter Balls, as well as the calamari. The food was tasty, served hot and the service was quick.

We got Dutch breakfast sandwich and all three of them really missed the point of how it should be.

Do not choose the Restaurant near the main route or trainstation, the service, food and time to wait are below the lowest standard. I ordered a lemonade, paid asked by the waiter and was ghosted later, when asked another waiter she told me my order is not in the system. The tables were not full and it was not an rush hour. Just coffee if possibile and not pay until you will be served ;)

In my opinion, this restaurant falls somewhere between fast food and a restaurant. The food certainly wasn't bad and was sufficient, but for the price, you'd expect a more elaborately presented plate. What's absolutely unacceptable is that I asked for the bill to be rounded up to €100, but €103.40 was charged. I don't care about the €3.40, but I call that downright stealing!

Hot chocolate felt a bit watery, tea was okay tho. Awful atmosphere and children treating seating as playground had to wait a solid 20 minutes after telling staff we'd like to pay until we got out there during not really super crowded hours

If you want to close, please do, but don't bother the customers

Very delicious food, kind staff and best coffee i tried in amsterdam so far.

Very good meal, very quick served. We had Salmon, Ribs and Schnitzel and everything was perfect. For me price was a little over average but honestly I have no comparison to other Restaurants in Amsterdam so for us price/quality was ok. We would definitely recommend it.

Not Full English breakfast at all. You only get 2 eggs, 2 chipolatas, think rashes of dry bacon, hash browns are heavy-laden with grease after a deep deep fry. You only get a slice of bread. Everything is over-priced and quality doesn't match with the 15.50€, sorry to say.

We visited this cafe, the menu is quite simple. We ordered chicken chops with garnish and lamb ribs. Everything was delicious! But I think the lamb ribs could have been cheaper than 34€. The only thing we didn't like was that it was a bit dirty outside.

Lured in by its central location and the look of a typical Amsterdam tourist restaurant, I made the mistake of assuming that visibility might equate to quality. It does not. From the tomato soup that tasted like warm dishwater to a main course featuring meat of unknown origin and limp fries, every bite was an exercise in lowered expectations. The bill, however, had no such modesty. For food we barely touched, the prices were comically bold. We left with our plates half full and our patience entirely empty — and went elsewhere in search of an actual meal. This establishment doesn’t serve the city — it serves the illusion of convenience. A place clearly designed for one-time tourists. No local with taste would come back willingly. Avoid if you value your time, money, or taste buds.

I come here to eat every year on my first day in Amsterdam, unfortunately I have noticed that it gets worse every year, it was always a great restaurant where you can get a seat quickly, fast cooking, good food and friendly staff but now it is too expensive, the quality has gone down and the staff only work quickly and unprofessionally. For the first time in 6 years my order was even forgotten and we had to wait almost an hour for food. The salad is served without dressing and the meat is often tough these days. I hope this restaurant goes back to how it used to be otherwise they will lose a lot of customers which would be a shame because the atmosphere is very nice and it is very central and I have always enjoyed coming back.

All good, I only advise the staff not to rush the customer into paying!

This steakhouse, located in a prime location, takes advantage of the circumstances. Very expensive and low quality food. And in Amsterdam you expect someone to speak Dutch, right?

The ultimate tourist trap. The Deutch Balls are 15€, the Ball is expensive and also without sauce, 2 sachets of mustard did the trick. Prices are expensive, very expensive, perhaps because of the proximity to the station, but if you go up the street you may find yourself cheaper. Personally: to avoid

The staff is really very friendly, we arrived early on a Sunday morning to have breakfast, the restaurant was not yet open they were setting up and despite everything in 10 minutes they had us seated at a table. We had the Dutch breakfast, a latte and a cappuccino, a treat! Thank you for your welcome!

The waitress speaks French well, that was the only nice thing :) Because she really wasn't smiling, we had the impression that she was bothered to serve us! Plus for 7.5 euros an affligem beer a smile would have been deserved 🙂🙂 The beers are much cheaper in France and the French are much nicer!

Place incredibly overpriced, 5€ for a Coke 15 for some chickenwings which is not the end of the World. However one of the servers is incredibly rude and pushy to get you out asap to sit new costumers. If you are looking to sit down and relax for a bit this is not the place.

Came in for breakfast yesterday, it was awful. 2 strings of bacon, thin Richmond sausages, eggs were just OK, 2 greasy hashbrowns, could not eat them, 1 slice of rock hard toast.

Expensive and bad. We stopped for a coffee and it was twice as much as anywhere else, maybe because they added twice as much water and that's why it tasted that bad.

We visited this place for a light late-night snack after dinner on my first day in Amsterdam. We had calamari(€11.50) and bitter balls(€12.50). The bitter balls was crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside, and they were surprisingly delicious. It was close to my hotel and also near Amsterdam Central Station, so the location was convenient.

Unpleasant welcome like I have rarely seen, not a hello, and a welcome so contemptuous that if you are a tourist I can only advise you to go and offer your money to more welcoming traders, there are many in the center

Only thing “English” about my breakfast was the price. A thimble full of beans, weird little sausages, frozen hash brown patties, lame bread. Fried eggs were good, service was good. Coffee was way overpriced. €18 and still hungry!

It is one of the few places that is open at 8 in the afternoon. You have very delicious beers and you can also eat them. The fries are very delicious. The guys who serve are very friendly.

The dish presentation was quite ok, but the taste... NOT! It was a good waste of € 29.50, for some Salmon & Chips... the "garlic sauce" was a cheap commercial sauce, which tasted like the -,99 cent sauce from Aldi... and the chips were dry, tasteless.🤦🏼‍♀️

Visted here for the second time on this visit to Amsterdam. Our first visit was excellent, we sat outside, on our second visit, it was a cool day so we wanted to sit inside, however we were told that my husband's ADI accredited service dog could not be inside the restaurant, even after we explained that she is a service dog, the host begrudgingly allowed us after we explained that the government of the Netherlands says service dogs are allowed in public places including restaurants, but the feeling we got was that we really weren't welcome so rather than stay inside we just sat outside, as situations like this cause my husband stress and anxiety....we love the food here but it was just very disappointing to not feel welcomed due to my husband's disability.

Simple dishes but well cooked, I went there twice for lunch without being disappointed by either the main course or the dessert. The staff is pleasant, smiling and efficient. The setting is pleasant and the proximity to Amsterdam Central Station is practical without the restaurant being full all the time. Price-wise, it’s between €20 and €30 for most dishes.

Place is nothing special. Coffee is 5€ which is way too expensive. The coffee tasted burnt and the milk was cold. Food seemed to be also overpriced tourist garbage. Only good thing was the waitress which was nice.

We came here spontaneously and found space straight away. Unfortunately the prices are outrageously expensive, you pay almost €10 for a large Heineken beer, and I don't even want to start with the food. The portions are very small and taste like ready-made products. Unfortunately, it also takes a long time to be served. The coffee, on the other hand, was delicious, but at €5.50 it was way too expensive.

We stopped in one evening for drinks as our hotel was close. We ended up getting some fries, they were good. Drinks and service were good as well.

Delicious food. We were served quickly but the table next to us changed guests three times because no one came. It may also have been due to the shift change because our waitress was no longer visible after she had brought our food. Overall the stay was great and it tasted good.

Gezien de locatie, uitstekende prijs kwaliteit verhouding. Bediening spreekt geen Nederlands maar verder is de service erg goed. Wil je niet te uitgebreid, maar wel lekker eten? Dit is de “place to be”.

Nice place. We went for breakfast this morning. The portion sizes were fine for me but I think men with big appetites would be a bit disappointed. The service was a tad slow but the place was busy so that's why.

I’m giving this place a 2 star review after experiencing the worst “English Breakfast” I’ve ever had. First, the sausage, didn’t even bother eating them. Tiny, plastic little fingers of nastiness. Next the egg, asked for scrambled, received chopped up fried egg (unsalted). And now the beans, all 15 of them served in a pot that you and I would use for condiment. Do you like your has browns dripping in cooking oil? Then this is the place for you! Perfectly paired with the toast, an uncut slice of white, insipid warm bread, yum. The only saving grace was the perfectly cooked streaky bacon, apart from that, dreadful and absolutely not an English breakfast. Please try harder for your 13 euros.

Location was excellent, close to Central Station. Service was good, food was a bit slow but expected since it’s full house in here tonight. We ordered Caesar salad, roast lamb, fish n chips and chicken wings. Salad was not fresh enough, the added chicken not good. Fish n chips so so, lamb was overpriced for that quality, chicken wings….just ok.

Super goede service! We hadden maar een uur de tijd en daar werd heel fijn rekening mee gehouden. Het eten was echt heerlijk en de bediening door Emma was TOP!

Heerlijk gegeten, het Engels ontbijt van mijn vriend zag er heel goed uit en smaakte volgens hem super. Leuke aankleding, services was prima, sfeer ging wel maar bovenal lekker ontbijtje gehad.

Lovely little place with city centre prices, unfortunate the food was substandard and looked to be cooked and then reheated for serving. I had the fish and chips for the price of €20.00 the batter on the fish was rock hard with the look of refried and one I got into it, I don’t think the fish inside had ever seen real fish, which was a shame, as I really wanted to enjoy it. Unfortunately this was the worst fish I have ever had in my life! and left me not feeling the best.
