A truly pleasant experience on my first visit to this restaurant. Charming decor and ambiance. The menu has clearly been carefully and passionately crafted. The drink selection is also highly recommended. Hospitality and Expertise are truly paramount here. Attentive and helpful staff who visibly enjoy serving guests with enthusiasm. This acclaimed venue is therefore highly recommended. Prepare to be surprised, and you certainly won't regret it. A gem of a restaurant.

Great food, very friendly and welcoming service. The surprise dinner is also highly recommended. We dined there tonight on September 12, 2025, with a large group, and once again, the food was fantastic, the service pleasant, and the evening was a wonderful atmosphere.

We live nearby and come here regularly, and we always enjoy it. Everything is simply excellent: the food, the service, and the atmosphere. It's also very child-friendly and a lovely restaurant. The food is always excellent, and the menu is always surprising. Prices are reasonable and certainly not overpriced for the quality you get. Whether you're dining for a romantic meal for two or with a large group, it's all possible and a great experience. A top location!

A restaurant a little further afield, where you stumble upon it by chance. And what a pleasant surprise! A beautiful interior, a wide selection of wines, and delicious dishes. All prepared by friendly and knowledgeable staff. In short, highly recommended.

Celebrated our wedding here. They really listen to your wishes, dress everything the way you want it and think along with you. The food and service were really fantastic! What a beautiful day we had.

We celebrated our dinner and wedding party at the Havenhuis. Our wishes were listened to very carefully in advance and we were always able to contact them with questions. On the day itself, everything was arranged down to the last detail and our guests and we as the bridal couple were well taken care of.

The only point of attention is the cold air flow in the dining room. As a result, the tasty food quickly got cold and we felt cold too.

Bij binnenkomst niet een heel hartelijk ontvangst. Tijdens de maaltijd bevroren onderken van het gerecht. Toen wij dit meldde werd er niets mee gedaan. Voor te betalen 4 keer moeten vragen om aub te mogen betalen. Ons zien ze hier nooit meer ! Jammer hoor.. het restaurant is verder wel heel leuk ingericht !

Mooie lokatie, het jonge bedieningspersoneel is uiterst correct en vriendelijk en gastvrij viel op ten opzichte van oudere dame was correct maar zeer afstandelijk. Komt bij mij niet gastvrij over.

Gezellig restaurant, goede sfeer en personeel is heel vriendelijk. Voorgerecht en toetje waren heel lekker, hoofdgerecht iets minder van kwaliteit.

Our surprise wedding on December 28 was truly amazing! Great atmosphere, delicious food and what a beautiful decoration! Not to mention the service, in one word GREAT!!!! We will certainly pass on your name to future bridal couples and party goers

We held our wedding at this location on December 20. The entire day took place at the Port House and it couldn't have gone better!!! From start to finish we were completely taken care of, nothing was missing!!! Staff is friendly, hospitable and works super hard. The food is really tasty, and there is no shortage of snacks. The guests were well looked after in every respect. The children were also taken into account, for example, they received children's champagne at the toast and there were toys ready for them during the drinks. The decoration was wonderfully done, super atmospheric and warm. All our requests were taken into account, everything was possible and allowed! Marylene is a wonderful hostess who thinks along with everything. You can leave your party to her, she will arrange that everything goes well. We are so happy that we had our wedding here, I really can't think of a single downside.

Port House is busy. The lunch was tasty and good, but the waiting time was unfortunately a bit long. Service friendly and helpful.

Very nice place with friendly ladies at the counter. The wine (by the glass) is served at the table. This way you can be sure that you will receive what you ordered. Plus point!! We ate here for 1 hour. Delicious fish soup (TIP: would be even tastier with some pieces of fish and a dash of cream), bread slice with shrimp croquette, half bread slice with smoked salmon and half bread slice with tuna salad (was very dry - TIP: spice up with capers, spring onions and a little more mayo) . We have dined here in the past and it was always excellent.

Used to be our favorite. The last few times were very disappointing. Wrong dish last time and this time for several people. And the staff, they have a lot of work to do with those young guys. Coincidentally, the same guys today who were there last time. In our opinion, it is better to fire staff who take care of non-returning customers. Then they bring the right dish incomplete, very sloppy.

Delicious food and great service! The Havenhuis is an absolute must for us. The quality of the food is always top notch. What makes this restaurant special is the service. The staff is friendly and actively thinks along, for example if there are intolerances. They ensure that everyone can enjoy themselves without worries, and that makes every visit here wonderful. We have experienced this several times. Whether it concerns a fun evening for two or a dinner with a larger group, you always feel welcome and well taken care of. The same positive points emerged at the various (wedding) parties that we attended here: delicious food and extremely good service. One of our favorite places!

Often had a good meal here, but tonight we sat inside for more than 20 minutes without anyone coming to the table to ask what you would like to drink. Staff mainly joke with each other behind the bar. If you cynically thank them for the good service, you first get an apparently sincere apology, but the moment you turn around, your eyebrows are raised as if you are crazy yourself. After the confrontation about it, we left to let the rest of the guests have a nice evening.

Vandaag het Havenhuis bezocht en aan de ronde tafel een gezellige avond beleefd met lekkere gerechten. Kundig zeer correct vriendelijk personeel. De verjaardag kreeg een feestelijk tintje en we kregen meer dan waard voor ons geld. 5 gangen surprise menu met zorg gemaakt. Mooie kwaliteit producten en vers gemaakt.

Everything was delicious, surprising, beautiful! Really worth it and regularly something different on the menu. Very friendly staff. Been many times and will continue to come back to enjoy!

What a super hospitable and delicious restaurant the Havenhuis is! My parents-in-law always loved coming here, but less often these days because they no longer have their own transport. Recently took a taxi and had a very nice lunch, then they were brought home again by the owner herself: what a service, so sweet!

We komen hier met enige regelmaat voor lunch en diner. Top locatie en prettige bediening. Nu ook ons 25-jarig huwelijk hier gevierd met een walking diner. Super geregeld, heerlijk eten, fijne bediening. Als je in Etten-Leur bent “moet” je hier echte even langs gaan

Great in all respects! Great salads, crispy fresh and great sauces both with chicken and with salmon, the fish of the day was salmon with asparagus, wonderful and plentiful. Great friendly service, great beer and wine! Recommendation! Particularly noteworthy: dealing with lactose intolerance is totally uncomplicated!

The food was very tasty, the service excellent, they came on time to ask if anyone wanted anything (but not excessively) and the atmosphere was pleasant. There was a birthday boy who was put in the spotlight.

Nice atmosphere, but unfortunately it is all. Despite the nice ambience the food that I got was poor quality. I got the fishsoup having a sour taste and the catfish I had as main was barely cooked, I could not eat it.

Extensive dinner for 16 people. Private room directly adjacent to the terrace. Smooth and friendly contact in advance. My wishes regarding dinner were well taken into consideration. Became a mix of 'shared dining' and off the menu. The 5 course dinner was excellent. More than enough, good ingredients and well prepared so that you leave with a full stomach but not a bloated feeling ;) Also an excellent vegetarian dish for one of my guests. Too bad I don't live nearby otherwise I would come here more often!

Last Sunday the terrace looked so cozy. Enjoyed a delicious cup of cappuccino outside. Staff was very sweet to our daughter. Even got her some milk. Super good restaurant with friendly staff.

We enjoyed a delicious high tea with a Prosecco, various sandwiches, a soup, a piece of roasted brisket (what a surprise such a dish with a high tea!) and dessert. Plenty of tea. We will definitely come back again!

Enjoyed a delicious dinner here. This time the fresh fish of the day with fish soup served at the table in advance. My wife chose a delicious piece of game. Friendly waitress provided us with good wine advice. (It is also possible to order a wine arrangement). Tables are well spaced apart. Recommended! (This restaurant accepts the dinner voucher).

On December 28, we had the end-of-year dinner at my girlfriend's company (fortunately I was allowed to come too :D). Very well cared for, good service and delicious food (especially the pumpkin cremeux!). Point of criticism: Too cheap for what you get!

An excellent meal with our family for my mother's birthday. They had taken care of everything, a card on the table, streamers and they also sang for her at dessert with fireworks. Awesome! The food and service are of high quality. The layout also looked beautiful. We chose the surprise menu. We will definitely come back here!

Beste allemaal, dit jaar hebben we weer gekozen met onze vrienden om de tweede kerstdag in het Havenhuis te dineren. Vorig jaar met de kerst was het zo perfect, dat we dit jaar blij waren dat we plek hadden. Weer was het grandioos !!! Dit jaar waren we met 7 personen, ieder had zijn eigen keuze gemaakt en we vonden het allemaal heerlijk. Het personeel is bijzonder vriendelijk en de kok krijg van ons allemaal een dikke pluim. Super was het, dank je wel!! De ambiance spreekt ons ook heel erg aan. We hopen dit volgend jaar nogmaals te ondernemen, want jullie staan nummer één op ons lijstje. Zowel de toiletten als de tafels en vloer kan een schoonmaak beurt gebruiken, zoutkorrels, sla en wijnvlekken onder onze tafel, en zout vastgeplakt op de tafel.. kroketten waar je t vlees in moest zoeken en warm water ipv gember thee gekregen.. de sate van mijn tafelgenote was ook geen succes.. ook de rekening klopte niet, er stond rode wijn op die wij niet gedronken hebben.. ons ongenoegen hebben we zeker kenbaar gemaakt, t was niet de ervaring die we gewend waren, dus voor ons was t de laatste keer.

Lekker eten. Uitstekende bediening. (Wat vaak bij restaurants te wensen overlaat.). Kortom uitstekend.

Heerlijk gegeten, gekozen voor het verassingsmenu. Toetje was wel veel chocolade, wel lekker maar ook heel machtig.

Erg gezellig en lekker. Vriendelijke en vlotte bediening ondanks drukte.

Wederom heerlijk geluncht met overheerlijke gerechten. Gezellige en zeer vriendelijke bediening.

Wij hebben in oktober ons trouwfeest gevierd bij het Havenhuis. Dit was in 1 woord fantastisch! Marylene is een echte gastvrouw. Zij en haar team hebben ervoor gezorgd dat het aan niets ontbrak. Wij hebben vele complimenten ontvangen over de locatie, gastvrijheid en ambiance. Dank jullie wel.
