Beautiful location. After a walk in the woods, we were really craving hot chocolate and a slice of apple pie. So we ordered it. Unfortunately, it was a disappointment; it was chocolate milk made from powder. It had no flavor. We assumed it was real chocolate milk, but the price was €3.80, and with whipped cream it was an extra €0.60. You'd expect a flavorful, creamy chocolate milk, wouldn't you? Or? Too bad, but lesson learned. From now on, ask first if it's real chocolate milk.

Without a doubt, a gem of a restaurant. A very atmospheric and inviting interior and ambiance. The menu has clearly been carefully and passionately crafted and offers something for everyone. The drink selection is also more than excellent. Hospitality and Expertise are rightly emphasized here. Friendly and helpful service by staff who truly know their trade. A visit to this acclaimed venue is therefore highly recommended.

Strøming in Etten-Leur is a charming restaurant in a beautiful location. The service is friendly, prompt, and attentive, which definitely enhances the experience. The menu is extensive and offers plenty of variety, although it doesn't quite suit my personal taste. That, of course, remains subjective. I found the portions a bit small. All in all, a lovely restaurant with a pleasant atmosphere, but the dishes weren't quite right for me.

Delicious food, great concept. A bit pricey, but worth it.

The food is good, with a nice menu and tasty dishes. The staff is friendly and attentive. There's just one major annoyance: the knives have been so blunt for over a year that you have to chop through your sandwich like a lumberjack. I've reported it several times, and each time the staff says they're aware of the problem, but nothing is done about it. It's a real shame; it's really not enjoyable to eat like this.

Cozy, good food and good service, nice staff

Last Friday we had a wonderful meal outside in the sunshine. We were able to enjoy the last rays of sunshine. It was a shame about the service between 5:00 and 6:00 PM. They gave us the impression they had to work but didn't seem to be interested at all. They only came back after 20 minutes to ask for drinks, and after almost an hour, they also asked if we wanted something to eat. If it were busy now, I could understand why, but there was hardly anyone there. It was a shame, because of that, we were actually able to leave. Fortunately, things improved after the changing of the guard, and the service became much faster and better.

Somewhere in the countryside near Etten-Leur lies this beautiful retreat, right next to a still-working mill. The food was fantastic and looked beautiful and well-maintained. The large outdoor terrace and the huge windows inside transformed the greenery into a living canvas. When we were there, the sky was blue and the clouds darkened with rain. It was a fantastic sight to behold from our cozy spot. We will definitely return.

Beautiful location, incredibly nicely decorated, lovely people, delicious food as a shared dining concept, lots of vegan and vegetarian options! We just had to ask for drinks ourselves quite often. We'll definitely be back!

We stopped by here while traveling. It's a very nice restaurant. The food was delicious and the service was friendly, and they also have several vegetarian options. Parking is limited, though.

I've eaten at Strøming twice now. We ordered flatbread with dips, oysters, crispy chicken gyoza, the Strøming toasted sandwich, and bread with pulled pork croquettes with truffle mayonnaise. The lunch was a good size and we were quite full; it was also delicious. The shared dining dishes, on the other hand, are small but tasty. The only two downsides were that we were placed at a less than ideal table near the bar, even though we had a reservation. Other people who hadn't reserved were also given such a table. And then there's the matter of water: We wanted to order a carafe of tap water and clearly stated that we wanted tap water (not a Sourcy bottle). The attentive waiter helped us and told us that was possible. We then received a Sourcy bottle in a cooler. We told her that wasn't what we meant, and she explained that they didn't offer tap water. (They could have mentioned it earlier and not just put a bottle of Sourcy on the table.) Personally, I find it odd that tap water isn't available. But all in all, we had a lovely meal. The restaurant itself is very atmospheric and situated in a beautiful location. I think when the weather warms up, the outdoor area would be very pleasant to dine in. They also have one next to a nice little water feature. I recommend it.

We had eaten there a while ago with friends. It was delicious. We recently had a drink there and were again very well looked after, with friendly staff and good service.

We were seated right away, which was great. The waitress was very open and honest about the selection. The service was excellent and very fast! The atmosphere is still a bit lacking. It's almost perfect, but something's still missing. The price is also perfect! We ordered olives; it's a shame they didn't come with skewers. All in all, we'll definitely be back when the weather is nice. Highly recommended!

We recently dined at Restaurant Stroming in Etten-Leur. The restaurant/terrace has a cozy atmosphere and a well-conceived concept, with a menu that is both refined and varied. The service was also very polite and attentive, which certainly contributed to the pleasant ambiance. Unfortunately, there was one major drawback: the meals were served cold. This was especially disappointing with the vongole, which we had to send back to the kitchen to be reheated. The meals may have gotten cold because the microwave wasn't set up properly. This unfortunately affected the overall experience, because despite the other positive aspects, you do expect a hot meal in a restaurant of this caliber. Hopefully, this is a one-off incident and will be better monitored in the future. It would be a shame, because Restaurant Stroming has everything else going for it.

We were here for the first time. The shared dining concept is excellent. Dishes are delicious. Don't order too much at once. Dishes are quite large. You can always order more. The wait time before we received table service or before service returned was quite long, but not excessive. We suspected (from experience in the hospitality industry) that there might be few people in the kitchen, and it was quite busy. However, this didn't affect our experience. The staff is extremely professional and friendly. The restaurant is beautifully decorated. A great location for a party/event/wedding.

Scandalous female employee, we had made a reservation for the playground because of the small children we have with us, this was also explicitly requested during the booking, all no problem, upon arrival we were asked to take a seat in the middle of the terrace, out of sight of the playground. When we noticed this, the young lady thought it was close enough to the playground for them. When we complained about this, the young lady thought we were not allowed to have a discussion about this. Since no solution was offered, we decided to leave. They will never see us again, very unfriendly staff who do not tolerate any contradiction.

Had a lovely lunch on the terrace at Stroming and the weather was great. Still busy during the week. We enjoyed it with 3 and quick friendly service. Nice seats view over the water where you can also moor. Definitely recommended to have lunch-drinks there. Nice playground for small children. Close to a mill.

A menu full of tasty things! Another plus is the wide choice of dishes without meat. Beautiful restaurant (both in terms of location and interior) and friendly staff. Two minor points: the tables were very close together, impossible not to follow the conversation next to you and it was really stuffy and warm in the restaurant (outside it was about 18 degrees and rainy). I asked if something could be done about it, air conditioning would be turned on but I didn't notice any difference.

The first time we had lunch we were very enthusiastic. Really a nice place and a beautiful terrace. The food was something different and the quality was good! Out of enthusiasm we booked again with the whole family. Unfortunately the second time was less. The reservation appeared to have disappeared despite the fact that I had called for it. I had also hoped to be able to enjoy the nice place or the terrace again, but we were in the old part with the nice weather. The service was busy, not really consistent and effective. The quality was also a bit less/different compared to our first visit. Too bad!

Had high tea here with a friend. It was a beautiful sunny day, which made it very busy here. After having tea we had to wait 30-45 minutes for the first round (despite having reserved this in advance). Assume this was due to the crowds. Food was good. Employees friendly. On nice days, keep in mind that it may take a little longer.

An ideal place to end the week with a tasty snack, a drink and a wonderful atmosphere on the water. Highly recommended!

Been here for the 2nd time. First time for lunch and now for dinner. Very pleased both times. Friendly staff, good food that has a little twist or is a bit surprising in a good way. Because it all tastes delicious. Dishes are nicely decorated/served. Menu choice is fine for both lunch and dinner. Shared dining starters are approximately the size of a tapas dish and the main courses are approximately the size of a starter. (Or just a little bigger). Outside you have a wonderful view into the polder and inside it is wonderfully light during the day. It is stylishly/attractively decorated. The only point if you come to dinner in the evening, there is a limited number of parking spaces. So the roadside/cycle path is used when it is busy. Lots of cyclists during the day. Nice place, I will definitely come here again for a delicious meal.

Have had drinks and eaten with them several times to my satisfaction. However, a bad experience tonight. Made a reservation at half past seven. At 8:15 PM we were able to place the first order for shared dining. At 9:15 PM, while we just had a new dish, we were told that we could place the last order!?! During dessert it became busy at the bar and at a table with staff who were apparently worked out. No more attention from a waitress. Have to 'beg' to pay. No goodbyes when we left, staff were busy with each other. Very unfortunate, the last time for us for a while.

Super nice restaurant right in the polder on the water. Extensive varied menu of food and drinks. The interior exudes quality and the food is also tasty. Grabbed a nice lunch menu myself. A small point of attention is that the food took a bit long to serve on a sunny, busy Sunday. But because you can sit outside and in the sun so nice, everything went well.

Had a nice lunch last weekend. The decor is stylish and has a nice atmosphere. Prices are good, staff could still learn something in terms of friendliness. Wouldn't dine here anytime soon, the dishes are a bit too culinary and special. Reservations are definitely necessary, the parking lot and restaurant were overcrowded.

What a wonderful experience! We've had three different rounds. Some starters, an Italian round and a round consisting of different dishes. The price-quality is top and the staff is friendly and helpful. The restaurant is nicely decorated and has a good atmosphere. We will definitely go back again.

Not highly recommended for a large group. Shared dining cannot be shared because the portions are relatively small. In addition, the choice on the menu is quite focused on culinary delights. And for the "picky eaters" there is very little safe choice. A slightly more extensive choice would make it more fun to go with a group. For people who like to eat special things that require expensive words to describe a sauce; the quality is good. The starters and deserts were very tasty. But I can't imagine it attracting a wide audience. The potential is there, but it just isn't there.

We had lunch here with family on Boxing Day. When you enter you will receive a friendly welcome. The operation and service were good, neatly explained. Also patience with children. The restaurant looked really attractive and clean. Also outside the terrace with the mill and playground, when the weather is nice, also nice and cozy to sit there. Highly recommended!

Always a top location for drinks!

What a great experience at Stroming in Etten-Leur! I ordered the smashed avocado with salmon salad, and it was absolutely fantastic. All flavors were perfectly balanced, and the portion was large enough to leave well-filled. The atmosphere in the restaurant is very cozy, with a beautiful and stylish interior. In addition, the staff was incredibly friendly and hospitable, which made the whole experience complete. Definitely recommended, I will definitely come back here!

Our visit to the restaurant was a disappointment. When we looked at the menu, we noticed that it was based on a shared dinner. We were very disappointed with the shared dinner. The portions cannot be shared with 4 people, at most 2 people. So no more dinner at Stroming for us.
