Don't go here if you're thinking of a night out, because you'll be disappointed. Do go here for a quick bite to eat if you don't feel like cooking, for example. With nachos as a starter (still delicious, though the portion size is much smaller than a few years ago) and a burger (which my partner always orders a different one, my favorite is still the Mexican), you'll be out the door within an hour. But if you know that, it's perfectly fine! Friendly service. So, it's a great place for once or twice a year!

Ate here for the first time. You have to be a bit fond of the decor; they're trying to create an American vibe. The menu is quite extensive, but even here, you have to be a bit fond of it. Personally, I'm not a fan of nachos and burgers. However, the quality is good and the quantity is more than sufficient. What makes it truly excellent is the service. According to the receipt, we were supposed to have been served by Maurits. He was exceptionally friendly and very efficient. His colleagues were also excellent. Kudos! All in all, a good experience.

A stunning Hudson restaurant in the charming center of Voorschoten. An absolute architectural gem, decorated in the recognizable, warm Hudson style. What can you expect? A straightforward lunch and dinner menu with options for sharing, burgers, steaks, satay, fish, and chicken. A modest selection for vegetarians and a number of attractively topped deluxe bread options. The staff is well-trained and friendly, excellent. The franchisee is a seasoned hospitality professional. Friendly, attentive, fast, and skilled. The price-quality ratio is on the high side. A lunch for two consisting of two deluxe sandwiches, four coffees, and some juice or a soft drink will easily set you back over €50. I suspect Hudson tries to keep prices competitive, but this shows that the days of affordability in the Netherlands are truly over. However, Hudson is definitely worth a visit.

The food was very mediocre, sparse, and expensive. One hamburger with a small piece of corn for €16.00... On top of that, I received unsolicited marketing emails even though I had indicated I didn't want them.

The food is good but the service is honestly terrible. I ordered a doubled stuck vegetarian chicken burger, while my friends a regular doubled stacked chicken burger. Their burger came double stacked while mine only had a single burger. I asked or explanations and I was told that it happened because the vegetarian chicken is "more expensive". That's quite cheap to say and the menu clearly stated otherwise. No understanding of the costumer's feedback shows little will to work in something called "hospitality". You can get better than this.

A nice diner like restaurant. The place is for meat lovers mainly but it also includes some options for vegetarians and vegans. The food was good but not exceptional.

I wanted to eat with our son before his graduation. I ordered spareribs that were tasteless. They forgot the sauce for the surf and turf. It was a very disappointing experience.

We had the whole top floor for our group (62 persons). We really enjoyed it. The manager was open for all possibilities and very helpful and the staff as well.

Go eat here, it's really delicious! We are really critical when it comes to eating out, but this was really good food. Especially the Tokyo chicken, omg that is so delicious. The carpaccio is also fantastic. The steaks are also really tender, and the lava cake is also really delicious. The children's menus are also really tasty, not the standard tasteless snack but really tasty. The cocktails are also delicious. And the service is really fantastic too. (1 year later the food is still a 12 on a scale of 10😉)

Celebrated my 60th birthday for friends and family at Hudson Voorschoten, the top floor is absolutely suitable for this, plenty of space and a variety of regular tables and standing tables. The snacks were excellent and everything else was well taken care of by the friendly staff. Have a great birthday!!

Once we had ordered drinks, we were told that we could not eat because they closed at 5:00 PM... we sat down around 4:30 PM, I think if people walk into a restaurant around that time, there is a good chance they want to eat something, so you report this before someone orders a drink, right!?!?!

The food is delicious, we had burgers and loved them. The service is terribly slow, we waited half an hour for dessert. There is room for improvement in the service aspect

Ten eerste sprak het me van buitenaf al niet aan maar mijn vriendin zei dat t binnen echt wel gezellig was. We hadden als voorgerecht samen gamba s erg lekker maar prijs lag erg hoog voor 6 gamba s, saté besteld was koud toen we t kregen dus terug gestuurd, toen we ons bord terug kregen lagen er bij mijn vriendin twee stukjes vlees op terwijl bij inleveren er zeker 4 a 5 op lagen, Hebben ze nieuw gemaakt, t duurde een eeuwigheid en we hebben gedwongen apart gegeten, friet moest ook apart betaald worden, belachelijk maar de prijs dan maar iets hoger en geef er friet en iets van groenten bij. Zeer slechte ervaring, ik ga hier NIET meer naartoe! Vreselijk.

Gezellig uiteten met een vriendin verliep anders dan gehoopt! Vooraf namen wij de gamba’s in knoflook! (6 stuks 14 euro) Dat wordt dan op tafel gezet zonder bordje waar je ze even op kan leggen. Vervolgens beide de kipsaté. (Patat komt er trouwens nog apart bij 4,50) Die kwam helaas koud aan. Vervolgens teruggestuurd. Toen het terugkwam (we kregen voor het ongemak een extra bakje friet) had één van ons zijn saté vlees weer terug maar de ander had nog maar 2 stukjes vlees op het bord! Waar de rest gebleven was geen idee! Omdat de bediening ons niet zag, maar met het bord hun kant op gelopen en gevraagd waar de rest gebleven was. Nou de kok wist niet meer precies hoe het zat. Maar maakte een nieuwe saté! Met het gevolg dat we beide i.p.v. samen apart onze saté hebben gegeten. Nog wel koffie en thee van het huis gekregen maar dit was toch echt niet leuk uiteten gaan. Ook dat je ziet hoe ze in de keuken staan te eten! Vind ik echt geen fris gezicht. Wij komen hier niet meer!

Last time it was just as good as this time with very friendly and pleasant staff. Until next time. (The minus point is that one colleague on his scooter!)

Last Saturday I organized a drink for 50 people on the top floor of the restaurant. They had a projector and screen available for a nice presentation! The ambiance is great, the logistics were good, partly due to the bar on the top floor! Staff very friendly! Snacks were well prepared thanks to the super chef, Kelly! In short, a very successful party for my 60th birthday!

What nice girls work here in the Hudson restaurant. And owner Lianne is also a fantastic woman. The service is top notch. The men's kitchen brigade is also top notch

Cosy, friendly and delicious food

A beautiful location and a beautiful business. We were able to drink many glasses of wine and the staff is friendly. Unfortunately, the last time it was made clear to us that we could drink wine, but with large sips. It turned out that there was no intention to remain open for 3 people. It arrived a bit raw on our roof, luckily "Het Wapen" is not that difficult and we now order our bottle there and stick a fork there again.

Ate here on Christmas Day... It was complete chaos. A special menu had been prepared for a four-course Christmas menu. Tournedos was on the menu, but turned out to be outside the package (+ €6). Unfortunately, this was already gone... We had to come up with a different dish for 8 people, and there were several tables with the same problem. Many dishes were gone, which is a shame on a day like Christmas. Especially if an additional charge is requested. We had to wait a very long time for our food and for some people the meat was tough... The service did their best, but they were probably short-staffed. A tip for next time: maybe buy better or take fewer reservations.

Hudson in Voorschoten has been an absolute asset to the village for years. The pleasant ambiance, a menu with varying dishes, and the hospitable host and hostess who always keep the door open for you, make this a place where you will like to come back. Whether you come for a drink, a birthday or just a nice drink, it is always a nice place! The price-quality ratio is excellent, and the sunny terrace makes it extra attractive, especially during activities in the village. A perfect location for lunch, a drink with a snack, or a good dinner. Recommended!

Food was fine. Price was very disappointing. Paying €23 for a hamburger is a lot of money, but the fact that you don't get fries with it is scandalous. The waiter didn't ask us if we wanted fries with our burgers. Otherwise we might have ordered this with it. We were served the hamburgers and when asked where the fries were, we were told that they were not included. The question why she had not asked this when taking the order did not make much sense. Between the starter and main course she came to ask if we wanted to see the dessert menu or pay. She also did not pay attention to drinking and had to ask for a drink. This took 10 minutes to get there. And it wasn't busy because the lady behind the bar was having a great time with acquaintances at the bar. Hudson Voorschoten really needs to do something about the staff. I've been here for the second time now and the staff don't understand it twice. And I find it downright ridiculous that you don't get fries with a €23 hamburger. We skipped dessert and had ice cream somewhere else. The last time here for me.

Just ate here. Hudson sperribs is highly recommended. Packing less but otherwise tasty Oreo milkshake. Top service. Super sweet and fast. This restaurant is highly recommended.

I thought I had ordered salmon, but it was on a bed of vegetables, which made the salmon quite soggy. There was also a strange sauce on it that looked like molasses. My drink was also charged fifty cents more, even though there is a different price on the menu. Had a fantastic afternoon today at Hudson Bar & Kitchen in Voorschoten. My partner chose the Healthy Toast Avocado, and I went for a classic Hudson burger. Have to say, I was quite jealous of her dish! The avocado toast was fresh, flavorful and beautifully presented. My Hudson burger was also delicious, but the toast was a real winner. The two local “Paapje Triple” beers that we had completed the lunch completely. They complement the dishes perfectly and give an extra local touch to the experience. The service was fast, friendly and attentive, just as it should be. We never had to wait long, and despite the large portions, the price was very reasonable. The atmosphere in the restaurant was cozy and relaxed, which immediately made us feel at ease. All in all, a great afternoon and definitely worth repeating!

A cozy and beautifully decorated restaurant. Eating with 2 people. I had a steak and wanted it rare. Unfortunately I got it well done. This was resolved easily by bringing a new one. Unfortunately my companion had already finished eating. Very nice place to crash on a weekday. Cozy interior. I had lunch here with a friend. Nice, smooth and attentive service. Plenty of seating from large tables to very small ones, benches, chairs, reading table, etc. Delicious food from the menu with a limited choice but still enough variety so that everyone can make a choice. I would love to come back here again.

It was a pleasant business with friendly staff. Service took a bit of time and that with a place that was not full. Nevertheless, we still had a delicious meal for a reasonable price. Too bad they forgot the cheese on my eggs. The price was neatly adjusted.

Took toast. Was bad. A kind of flatbread, almost no cheese and barely fried. Add a handful of nachos and a bowl of tomato sauce. A sandwich must be made from slices of bread with enough cheese in between. Friends had nachos, this was far too little. Last year it was much more. Cappuccino was also in a normal coffee cup, in my opinion this should be in a slightly larger cup. Had coffee a while ago with, I think, a lemon pastry. This one was very small, almost looked like a petit four. Everything is more expensive for everyone, company and guests, but the above is simply not possible. No more Husmdson Voorschoten for me.

I ate chicken satay here, I received 2 skewers of chicken satay, 5 prawn crackers and a bowl of coleslaw that was empty in two bites, so that is not enough for a normal person, you have to order fries which you don't get for the €20.00. . The taste of the satay sauce was also not very nice, it was as if I had scraped the last bit from the pan. When you tell this to the server, he shrugs his shoulders and does not elaborate, which is a shame. My wife also had a hamburger which was not what she had hoped for. Good place for lunch. Service and atmosphere are very friendly. The home-made iced coffee is highly recommended, the sausage sandwich and also the Hudson lunch plank. Also try the All day breakfast.

Top service, had lunch with a relation of mine, had a nice meal at the window. In terms of atmosphere, it cannot of course be compared to the Hudson in The Hague South.

We came to dinner with a large group. 33 people. The service was great and well coordinated. With such a large company, this requires good organization. The food was great! Meat was cooked exactly as well as the salmon. Not overdone or dry. A well-organized team that puts everything on the table on time. We had a great evening.

Last Monday I ate lunch at Hudson on the advice of and with a good friend of mine. Consisting of 2 toasts with a fried egg and croquette, some salad and tomato soup. That was very tasty and indeed highly recommended!

Mooie locatie in Voorschoten deze Hudson.We hadden een hightea Amerikaanse stijl gereserveerd. Dat viel tegen voor ong 25.00 p.p krijg je 3 soorten sandwich achtige broodjes en 3 zoette kleine deserts en een glas prosecco.Deze waren allen lekker en vers,maar geen 25 p.p waard.Bestek was ranzig en de borden niet schoon en kapot.Niet voor herhaling vatbaar.

Het was heerlijk en de sfeer is fantastisch. Zeer vriendelijk personeel, uitgebreide kaart, snelle service en een leuke texas vibe!

Leuke Amerikaanse diner / restaurant, met een warme sfeer. Vriendelijk en behulpzaam personeel. Uitgebreide kaart en prima eten. Wat ik wel jammer vind, is dat je patatjes oid er los bij moet bestellen (kan ook een voordeel zijn als je genoeg hebt aan de burger)

Weer geweldig gegeten. Met Martijn in de bediening was het echt 1 groot feest!!
