A bit of a strange, un-Italian menu. At least, I haven't seen a pizza with figs, honey, and goat cheese on a menu anywhere in Italy. The pizzas weren't particularly tasty either. Cold atmosphere.

Very tasty food and exceptionally good service, especially the two boys on Thursday.

I've been working in Haarlem for around a year now and tend to visit Ignite about once a month. With so many restaurants in the city, that's probably the biggest compliment I can give. As strange as it sounds, I order exactly the same thing every time. Ironically, I can never remember what it's called, but it's a combination of steak and pasta. The steak is cooked beautifully, the pasta is rich, creamy and full of flavour, and the two work surprisingly well together. Every time I visit, I tell myself I'll try something different, and every time I end up ordering the same dish again. We usually have a couple of beers with our meal and always find the prices very reasonable. Haarlem can be quite an expensive city for dining out, but Ignite offers excellent value for money and is generally a little more affordable than many of the nearby restaurants. The staff are always friendly and welcoming. There's usually the same young waiter who recognises us and has a laugh about the fact that we order the same thing every visit. Service is consistently good, and they've always managed to find us a table. Good food, friendly staff, sensible prices, and a steak and pasta dish that keeps bringing me back. We'll definitely continue to visit whenever we're in Haarlem.

Good menu, not too expensive. Plenty on the plate. The leftovers were simply packed up. Staff is friendly. Toilet clean but inconveniently laid out. Easy to walk to as parking is not an option.

We ate at Ignite last Saturday and it was, in one word, amazing! They have an extensive menu with more than just the standard pizzas that most Italian restaurants have on their menus. After hesitating for a long time because I found it difficult to choose between so many delicious pizzas, I opted for the burrata pizza. This pizza is highly recommended; it is so flavorful and tasty! For starters, we had the bruschetta and focaccia, which were also incredibly delicious! The service was excellent; we were served by a super friendly young man who was very attentive and observant. The atmosphere in the restaurant was also top-notch; we had a very pleasant evening. We recommend this restaurant to everyone!

Excellent food at an Italian restaurant run by Italians. We made a reservation for two via Google. The spaghetti was delicious. They were out of tiramisu for dessert, so they made one for us. We appreciated their thoughtfulness.

I had received a voucher to redeem at this restaurant. It was a three-course meal. The menu was a bit limited for this deal. Despite that, we had a delicious meal. When we arrived, it was very cold, so we just asked if the heating could be turned on, which thankfully wasn't a problem.

Two people enjoyed a small pizza and pasta. The dishes were delicious. The service was friendly and helpful.

The food was fine, but nothing special, and it was very overpriced. Pizza was over €20 and appetizers around €15, which I find quite expensive for what you get. I wouldn't recommend cocktails here. The service was very friendly, though, and the atmosphere was cozy!

Pasta with salmon was absolutely delicious, and the portion was huge! It was a bit pricey, but at least you know it’s worth it. I will definitely come back

We had a wonderful time at IGNITE Food & Love during Jazz Night! The restaurant, with its outdoor terrace, is located on a charming street in the heart of Haarlem. The outdoor seating is wonderfully comfortable despite the narrow street. The service was exactly what you'd expect: friendly, polite, and professional, without being pushy, so you didn't feel pressured to make room. The food is fresh, delicious, well-portioned, and clearly of high quality. Pizzas are available in small and medium, which is especially helpful if you're dining with children, seniors, or those who have undergone gastric bypass surgery, for example. Other restaurants could learn a thing or two from this! The ham is highly recommended – incredibly flavorful, making you feel like you're in Italy. In short: a charming place to relax and enjoy a good glass of wine, food, and excellent service.

The children loved their tasty pizza and the adults found their choices of pasta passable.

We visited Ignite Restaurant to celebrate my daughter’s birthday. Unfortunately, the experience was disappointing due to a serious issue. I was the only one at our table who ordered a cold dish — the burrata salad — and that same night I got food poisoning. I’m confident it came from the salad, as my family all ate different dishes (from the oven), and earlier that day I had eaten the same meals as my family, with no issues. The salad was the only difference. Before posting this review, I contacted the restaurant directly to inform them, as I believe it’s important to know when a guest becomes sick from your food. Unfortunately, I never received a response. Given what happened — and the lack of any reply — we will not be returning.

Food is very tasty and the price-quality ratio is also very good! The service is good but sometimes became a bit messy, I think because we didn't have a permanent waiter but there were several. By the way, the service was very friendly!

The pizza was good but when we asked for plates to eat our pizza on, they told us that would be an extra service charge. I've never been charged to have a plate....at a restaurant...for dinner. It's absurd. We just ate our pizza right on the round pizza tray.

It was disappointing. Very hot inside, the food was very salty, but they don't serve tap water. A bottle of water was 7 euros... Everything was very expensive, a simple beer was almost 5 euros. The atmosphere was not cozy or Italian at all. Service was also friendly.

Been here a while ago for a birthday, so hopefully the yummy food from the pictures is still on the menu. We loved the pasta! Besides that they take your wishes into account and are very polite.

Small(er) menu due to staff shortage. This is not stated on the site, which seems easy to adjust.

The food was very tasty. I had the pappardelle crema. The food came quickly, even though the restaurant was full and the service was very attentive and even thought about parmesan and asked for drinks and dessert. The prices are quite reasonable and our plates were completely empty. One star deducted because it was very loud and the comfort suffered as a result.

Got one basilicium leave on the pizza. Asked the waiter to bring one pizza after another, which took forever. Had to wait 25 min for second pizza after first one was finished. Waitress did not check on us during, she was busy snacking behind the bar. Pizza is very thin so doesn’t fill you up

Spacious Italian restaurant with a relaxing ambiance. The staff is smiling and friendly. The ravioli are very good and comforting. The pizzas are good and very crispy. Parmesan is extra and costs 2.50 euros. I don't recommend desserts... Price: 15-20 euros/dish

A nice meal here, really tasty starter, when it came! but they brought out our main before the starter, then had to take it away and re-serve... not sure if we got the same main second time round or if they re made it again for us, but pizza dough wasn't quite what we expected in the middle, really wet and veg wet, not roasted as per menu. Still though, flavour was good. Atmosphere was really rejects and nice.

Friendly service but food wasn't great. 17 euros for a pizza and then the entire outer edge is blackened, you don't put that in front of your guests if you want to deliver quality. How difficult can it be to make a good Pizza, you wonder? Then also charge 7.50 for a bottle of water, an ineffective way of customer loyalty. Small portion of Tiramisu was uninspiring served with a little weak whipped cream on the edge of the plate. Pretty tasty for 9 euros...

Been here quite a few times and even though the food is mostly alright, I wouldn’t recommend visiting this places because of the poor and unprofessional service. I guess the main advantage they have is the spot in the city center. We were waiting very long to receive our order , even though there were just 3 more groups of people in the restaurant besides us. Tiramisu: Very disappointing. The savoiardi were dry and not soaked in the coffee mixture as they should be. The cream was mostly whipped cream instead of mascarpone, making it comparable to the €3.50 tiramisu you find in supermarkets like AH. When I provided this feedback, the staff dismissed my concerns, claiming it’s their best seller and that the problem was with me. It’s not just the tiramisu that was disappointing, but more the way they handled the complaint. Everyone has different taste, but hinting that the client who pays for the food is the problem is highly unprofessional. Their food is quite mediocre, pizza had a chewy dough and not that crispy; except the coffee which is usually delicious. If you’re less discerning about Italian food, you might find this place satisfactory. However, if you expect quality and professional service, this restaurant might not meet your expectations.

I don't understand why it was so quiet here when we arrived because holy moly the food was so good here. I had a pizza romagna, very tasty. I can also highly recommend the macaron as dessert.

Clean but food sound like Italian but it is not. Mozzarella uses is not fior di bufala and the pizza is not mouthwatering Lasagne are made with cheapest cheese and not with Bescamella. My kiddo said it was uneatable! Shame on you! You are not the bear stander of Italian taste but you are just vulgarising and adulterating it!

This was the only restaurant where we could get a table, perhaps because other restaurants are a little cheaper. Anyhow, we enjoyed the food, the service was perfect and the ambience was fine. I wanted a pasta dish with a slight variation and I was accommodated for. Too full to have dessert too, such a shame. Thank you.

Amazing Italian place! I loved all the dishes we ordered. Buratta was fresh, cheese was served with strawberries and olives (for €4 as side 🍓), Gambas we full of taste and the bread served with gambas nicely paired with its oil. Tiramisu is amazing here! I highly recommend this place. However, please take into account that we were there when only 4 tables were occupied and waited for the food for ~20 mins, as per earlier reviews it might take quite long if the place is fool. I would definitely return to try pasta and pizza here 🍕

The restaurant was almost full when we arrived so it was good to book in advance. The staff was friendly and helpful but quite overwhelmed by the number of patrons. We waited quite long between our appetiser and main courses. Getting the cheque also took some time and I just walked to the reception to ask for it myself. The burrata salad was really good, refreshing, full of colours and carefully plated. The chicken pizza was a bit bland because of big chunks of chicken meat. The lagsana was good.

The pizza itself was tasty but burnt, we asked if we could eat quickly because we were visiting the Phil, but we had to wait a long time and left just in time. (One was going to pay while the other finished the last piece of pizza). It looked nice.

Food and pizza high quality, no regrets

Yesterday (3/2/24) I ate here with a friend. The pizzas were very tasty, also good that they have a small variant of most pizzas. They are often quite large. What we found strange, but not too bad to say anything about it, was that when the two of us entered we were told that the table we were assigned was the last non-reserved table they had (there was a sign everywhere "reserved "). However, after us there were at least 3 other couples who had not reserved and still got a table 🤔 We could hear that well because our table was right at the entrance...

Wij zijn vrijdag 29 December 2023 bij jullie eten. Rosé wijn en rode wijn primitivo onzetten lekker. Wij hadden ook pikante pizza/Diavola besteld, was echt perfect en onzetten lekker met verse rode peper ,paprika en salami. Ook lekker krokante korst. En pannacota was ook onzetten lekker. Goed gedaan. 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍

Second time here. Food is delicious. Traditional Italian taste. The service is top notch. Friendly, gives you advice, knows their job. Prices are average. If you're in Haarlem, this is the place to eat.

2e keer hier en weer heerlijk gegeten!! De pizza's hebben een heerlijke korst en verse ingrediënten. De service was ook weer geweldig, geen problemen gemaakt over kleine aanpassingen of allergenen. Heel fijn!

Ignite in Haarlem is een heerlijk Italiaans restaurant dat ik ten zeerste kan aanbevelen voor liefhebbers van Italiaans eten, vooral pizza's. De pizza's hier zijn absoluut verrukkelijk. De dunne en knapperige korst is perfect, en de toppings zijn van hoge kwaliteit. Wat deze plek nog specialer maakt, is de sfeer. Het interieur is warm en uitnodigend, wat zorgt voor een gezellige eetervaring. Het personeel is vriendelijk en attent, wat de algehele ambiance nog plezieriger maakt. Naast pizza's biedt Ignite ook een gevarieerd menu met andere Italiaanse gerechten, en ik ben er zeker van dat ze allemaal even smakelijk zijn. Als je op zoek bent naar een heerlijke Italiaanse maaltijd in Haarlem, dan is Ignite de plek om naartoe te gaan. Je zult er zeker geen spijt van krijgen

This is my favorite Italian place in Haarlem. The food is not expensive and the waiters are very friendly, the menu has a lot variety and the food is delicious. I try to visit this place at least 1 pero month. I reccomend trying the Pink and Tonic cocktail

Sfeervol restaurant in de binnenstad, met een gezellig terras. Kijk zeker binnen eens naar de prachtige pizza oven. We hebben hier heerlijk gegeten van Italiaanse gerechten op een zomerse dag.

Heerlijke 🍕 Pizza gegeten en 🍝 spaghetti, bediening is heel vriendelijk en we kwamen niets tekort, dessert met ijs en slagroom is ook een aanrader.

I ate Arrabbiata and Focaccia with olives and side salad. i think food was average. One of the biggest reasons i gave three point is because with salad they should serve olive oil (and balsamic). When i asked they bring bottle of course but with a spray top. I think in an Italian restaurant you shouldn’t serve salad with this way.

Heerlijk gegeten, lekkere antipasta 👌🏼 Ik vond -achteraf gezien- de dranken wel duur, hierdoor wordt daar eten prijzig. Gezellige straat.

Seriously lovely food! We were made really welcome (Inc our two small teckles). The service was great, the food was superb. A really, really nice family run restaurant that I would thoroughly recommend and hope to visit again soon

Great Service, Great Music, Great Food. Really just an amazing place. Some of the best pasta I've ever had. There's a very delicious shrimp pasta with red sauce and a creamy pesto chicken pasta and both are just amazing. I don't drink but I got one of their Mocktails and the Virgin Passion was amazing. Then we ordered their homemade tiramisu suggested by our Waistress and it was amazing. A very rich fully developed chocolate and espresso flavor with fluffy whipped cream and cake. There was a chocolate sauce on the plate that was just addictive and the plating of everything was really spectacular. There's not many perfect restaurant experiences but for me. This absolutely was one.

Had a gift certificate, chose ignite becouse we like italian food and are always looking for a good Italian restaurant. So the hunt goes on. This was not it. Very friendly waitress. Good service,  but I'm pretty sure the cook hates their job. The food is eatable but far from good. There is no pride or love in the this food. I has the salmon with pappardelle, it came with over cooked broccoli and what looked to me like pre grated bagged parmesan cheese. The small amount of Pappardelle was mix with a fettuccine pasta, and the sauce on it was lacking any flavor. If I had to pay for this food at those prices I would have been really mad. I hope they can find a cook who has some  passion for food.

Ja, waanzinnig lekkere pizza Diavola op, dat is écht een aanrader! Heerlijk Spicy maar toch een sensatie voor de smaakpupillen. De speciaalbierkaart is niet mega uitgebreid (standaard Heiniken kaartje met Affligem, Moretti en een lekkere Texels Skuumkoppe) maar er is genoeg keuze tussen de gerechten. Wachttijden waren prima. De serveerster was erg vriendelijk en handelde zeer netjes en professioneel. Complimenten. Inrichting is wat strak maar ik vond de open keuken wel erg leuk.
