The best Italian restaurant I visited in the Netherlands; the aroma invites you in the moment you arrive. The prices match the quality, and the staff is very polite and attentive. It is a very clean and pleasant place. I will definitely be back.

My wife and I had an absolutely lovely dinner here. I highly recommend the Pasta Al Parmagianio Di Gerardo . They heat up a large wheel of parmesan in front of you while they mix the noodles with the truffles. They was quite a sight! We've also had pizza here and it was also outstanding. Highly recommend!

Had a delicious meal. By far the best Italian restaurant I have ever eaten at, I think. Four-cheese gnocchi, but also pasta flambéed in whiskey in half a ball of Parmesan... top-notch!

We ate at this lovely restaurant after a long day. The service was very attentive and friendly, but not intrusive. We spent two wonderful hours there. Highly recommended.

My experience at this restaurant was extremely disappointing and uncomfortable. I had been really looking forward to visiting this restaurant, but unfortunately, the experience was very unpleasant from the moment we arrived. The man who greeted us looked me up and down and was not friendly or welcoming at all. He told me that he did not speak English, even though I personally saw him speaking English with other people who were in the same restaurant. He also asked whether we had a reservation. I explained that we did not, and he told us to sit down, but even after that, he made no effort to assist us or make us feel welcome. I was there with my cousin, who is a Black woman with afro-textured hair. I cannot say for certain what his intentions were, but the way we were treated made me seriously question whether prejudice or racial discrimination played a role. The difference in treatment was very noticeable and made us feel extremely uncomfortable. In the end, I decided that I did not want to stay and we left. What was supposed to be an enjoyable experience turned into a situation where I felt unwelcome, uncomfortable, and disrespected. The man who served us was wearing a white dress shirt and appeared to have some level of responsibility within the restaurant, which makes the way we were treated even more concerning. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this restaurant. Basic respect and hospitality should be extended to every customer, regardless of their appearance or background.

Horrible. My Brazilian friends experienced prejudice in that restaurant. Furthermore, the rude waiter told them he didn't speak English. He was incredibly arrogant and refused to serve them.

The pizzas were reasonably tasty, but to be honest, I didn't really taste or see the Italian style reflected in them. It's a shame the pizza isn't made in a stone oven. From an Italian restaurant, you really expect a stone oven and a tasty, crispy, authentic Italian pizza crust. That would have made the pizza a lot better. Otherwise, the pizza was well-topped with cheese and was just fine, but nothing special. Ultimately, it was just a normal pizza. The tiramisu, on the other hand, was truly perfect.

A more upscale restaurant with a chic ambiance, featuring neat tablecloths and cloth napkins. The service was impeccable. The pizza had a good crust and was also superb in its toppings. My companion's pasta, served from a Parmesan wheel, was also very well received, and the tableside preparation had the feel of an event, reminiscent of times past. We would definitely return.

We ate at this Italian restaurant tonight. I never leave reviews, but I'm doing it this time because, frankly, the waiters' behavior is unacceptable. No smiles, no interaction, and they barely respond when you ask a question. You really feel like you're bothering them in this restaurant. In addition to this very poor service, we even had to ask for glasses and a carafe of water that had been left on the table... Unbelievable! This behavior is unacceptable considering the very high prices.

The best Italian restaurant we've ever eaten at. The bruschetta was delicious, the pasta excellent, the spaghetti carbonara sensational, and the pizza absolutely fantastic. I can't understand why it only has 4.2 stars. 5 stars are absolutely justified.

Some time ago, I picked up pizza from Napoli. When I got home, I discovered my car was completely covered in oil due to a leaking package. I called the restaurant and was spoken to in an incredibly friendly manner. The employee indicated that I should call them with my next order so they could compensate me properly. I did that today, and what amazing service! We were allowed to pick up two pizzas for free without any problems and even received a bottle of wine with them. Now that is what I call customer friendliness. Many other restaurants could really learn a thing or two from this. The pizzas were super tasty as always, and we are incredibly happy with how this was resolved. Thanks for the excellent service! We will definitely be back here.

Worst pasta I’ve ever had. Completely tasteless. This pasta was frozen and chucked in a pan and heated up. 25 euro’s for frozen languistine. And the waiter needs to learn how to smile.

Ate here a few nights ago and the food was top notch, I got the spaghetti bolognaise and my wife got the Italian sausage pizza and we halved the two of them, both of them were 10/10 and the vibes were like an old school Italian place will definitely visit on my next trip to Haarlem.

The food was delicious and very flavorful. Highly recommended for the food. The decor of the restaurant, on the other hand, is somewhat dated, which in my opinion does not benefit the atmosphere/ambiance.

We ordered a pizza here and shared it among the three of us. After we ate the pizza, all three of us threw up within 20 minutes. We then went to the manager to report it and were immediately told that it was absolutely not the pizza's fault. We also had terrible stomach pain the following night. Ridiculous….

I loved the pizza, the base was delicious, the mushrooms were delicious, the employees were delicious but the vegeterian lasagne was really bad, sorry to say that. It was crowded but still okay. The place was warm and cozy, you can see the italian tiles everywhere.

Good restaurant. Both the meat and fish entrees are good. I'm giving it 4 stars because I didn't really like the mozzarella and the service was slow. I think the service was affected by the crowds that flocked there for Kings' Day. I think I'd go back.

This is one of our go to restaurants when in Haarlem. The food, service, and atmosphere is consistently outstanding every time we visit. We enjoy the dishes they assemble and serve at the table for a great experience.

Amazing experience from start to end, our waiter was extremely professional, flambeëd our pasta in parmesan and fresh black truffle in front of us to perfection.. and really reasonable prices too. A must try when youre in the neighborhood.

A very disappointing evening. I arrived early and it was quiet. My table companion was arriving later, so I ordered two pizzas at 6:00 PM and asked if they could be served at 6:30 PM, as we had to leave at 6:55 PM. No problem. At 6:35 PM we asked if the pizzas were ready. "They're in the oven now," we were assured. But by 6:50 PM, still nothing. So we left. The staff seemed completely unconcerned. It's a shame this place has gone downhill so badly.

We came here for dinner through TheFork, where they gave it a 9. I have no idea how that's possible, because our experience was truly disappointing. The food was at best "edible" if you're hungry, but that's about it. Honestly: if you like this, it might be time to check if you still have taste buds. This was truly a one-time visit for us. Don't be fooled by the TheFork rating.

We had high expectations, but unfortunately, the food was incredibly disappointing. The spaghetti carbonara was a complete failure; the egg was completely congealed and didn't resemble the creamy sauce you're supposed to get. Even my cousin makes a better carbonara, with more flavor and a much better texture. It's a shame, because the staff was friendly and did their best to please us. So, the service was fine, but that doesn't make up for the poor food. You really should expect better from an Italian restaurant. We won't be back.

I've been living in Haarlem for two years now, and this is our go-to pizza spot (also takeout!). We often order salame picante.

I live a 5-minute walk from here and only knew the restaurant by passing by, until yesterday. Sunday isn't exactly the busiest day in Haarlem, but I still made a reservation for six people. Not entirely unjustified, as there was only one time slot left. Did I miss something? Yes, I can now wholeheartedly confirm that the restaurant's decor isn't my favorite, but it is very Italian, or should I say functional. Lots of people in a sound-amplifying environment. You don't come here for peace and quiet, so to speak. We came for the food, anyway. While most people opted for pizza, I noticed a huge cheese dish being scooped off the flambéed pasta—I'd never seen one before. I want one! But first, three antipasto plates, with some mini dishes and meat for the whole table to share. Excellent, that bodes well for the rest. Although the small vitello tonnato felt a bit dry, it was still tasty. Next time, I'll order the large version. Meanwhile, a group of 15 Italians working nearby walks in. According to the owner, they eat here every night, which is good news! The pizzas are served at our table, and a giant cheese rolls next to my chair. The flame is lit on top, and pasta is stirred through the melted cheese, truffle is added, and skillfully served on a plate. The flavor is fantastic—cheesy, of course, but not too much; the truffle flavor is delicious, but not too much either. The chef's face shows he's done this a few times tonight. His enthusiasm has waned, but my enthusiasm reaches a peak: this is so good! I see the pizzas are going down well, and I hear the calzone is delicious from my fellow diners. After a delicious tiramisu, we go home satisfied, thinking, "Why have I walked past this place all these years and never gone in?" That won't happen to me again!

We booked for 15:30 as stated on their website and the booking was confirmed however when we went they said to us they don’t open until 17:00 and were quite rude. Wont be trying it again

The Pizza Salami picante is soooo delicious!

We wanted to try a new restaurant and decided to order a pizza here. Despite the good reviews, it was unfortunately disappointing. I had the Sorrento, a pizza with many different ingredients, but the flavors were surprisingly flat and lacked character. Based on this experience, we will unfortunately not be returning.

Great food and excellent atmosphere where they don’t pack tables squishy beside each other. So cool they cool the pasta dishes in the giant wheel of cheese. Was worth the wait. Almond chocolate cake was also delicious!

You don't have to be here for the atmosphere; there simply isn't one and you'll just have to bring some nice company with you. A young man was our waiter, but his rude arrogant attitude did not suit us. Indicated what the problem was with that waiter and received a whopping 50% discount!

Had a delicious meal here yesterday. Napoli is a really old-fashioned (in the good sense of the word) restaurant. Linen tablecloths and napkins, waiters all in the same "uniform", but still an informal and cozy atmosphere. Pasta and pizza tasted excellent, the lemon ice cream with Limoncello was also great. We will definitely come back.

Awful service. They forgot about our order and even didn’t apologize. When we ask about some dessert for a person who had a birthday, they simply ignored it at all, although they brought such a dessert to the next table. Pizza was not good.

We were there to celebrate a birthday, but when we pointed this out to the waiter, he reacted coldly and rudely and said: "It's your problem that it's your birthday today." Gladly again! Reservation in advance online is quick and easy - and apparently necessary! We were served quickly and got our drinks before our meal. Every wish was tried to be fulfilled, the service was very good! The calzone was very good and generously filled. What is particularly positive is that the individual ingredients such as the ham were placed in the calzone whole/in large pieces and they were NOT small pieces! It was also very well filled and not so much dough on the edge - great! The pasta in a parmesan loaf with the live demonstration in front of the guest is a great experience! Both dishes were super tasty!!!😋 And the calzone was the best that a calzone lover has ever eaten (and there have been quite a few)!!! Before the main courses we received a little greeting from the kitchen: two deliciously fluffy pizza rolls with herb butter and an oily basil mixture, which was very tasty. We paid a good €50 for two meals and two (mini) waters. But it was really worth the money for us!

Another nice pleasant evening at Napoli. Table by the window in the second room (there are 3 in total) is noisy, but if you want it quiet, go for the first room. Food really good, although my pasta vongole did have small shells. My other table guests thought their food was excellent, we will definitely be back.

It was busy. My main course was still just warm, but that of both ladies I was with was still just lukewarm... Very unfortunate. The experience is beautiful.

Slightly more pricey than other pizzerias, although I didn't even look at the pizza menu to see what they cost. Had delicious bruschetta and pasta with tenderloin. Very tender and fresh pasta. With a glass of wine you get a carafe and that is more than a glass of wine otherwise, so price-quality is okay. All in all highly recommended

I’m always feeling at home here

We have been coming to Ristorante Napoli for years to enjoy a delicious meal. We recently had dinner here with a large group. The service was excellent. Even though we were a large group, we always received the food quickly and at the same time. The staff is friendly with a sense of humor. The food is fantastic! I had the Carpaccio as a starter. This is prepared at the table and was very tasty. We ordered the Foccacia Rosemarina to share. This was also very tasty and wonderfully seasoned. As a main course I chose the Pizza Margarita with mushrooms. The pizza tasted really fresh and was well topped! The desserts are also highly recommended. The restaurant is very nicely decorated and parking is easy in the parking garage a few meters away.

What a crappy experience. Starter ok. Main course worthless. And if you report this, they won't do anything with it. Manager doesn't care. Don't recommend it to anyone. There are so many better restaurants in Haarlem... Not recommended! We eat out in good restaurants every week, but never again!!

An Italian restaurant as you would expect. Great selection of dishes and pizzas, very attentive and friendly service. Prices are a little above average, but it's worth it. If we're in Haarlem, we'll definitely be back.
