Ate at Lazaro for the first time and it was super tasty, really super cozy atmosphere.

It was okay. In my opinion, the price-performance ratio wasn't right. The restrooms weren't up to standard. The wine wasn't really to my taste, and I wouldn't recommend the carbonara.

Great place with amazing music and very friendly staff, delicious food and dog-friendly setting. Relatively cheap comparing to other city centre places surrounding it. Highly recommended!

An amazing Italian place in the heart of Haarlem. Stopped in for a late lunch and everything we ordered was delicious! Highly recommend the pizza salami and the tortellini with ham. Amazing outdoor seating atmosphere on a quaint side street right beside the church.

Normally, I don't like leaving negative reviews. But my experience was so substandard that I feel it necessary to inform others. For €40, I ordered tortellini al forno, lasagna, a bread roll with herb butter, and sparkling water. The lasagna could have been a ready-made lasagna from Albert Heijn or Aldi; I am quite certain of that based on taste and texture. The tortellini had the same problem. Two containers of tiramisu were added to the order that I hadn't ordered (fine), but they had opened during delivery, leaving my bottle of drink covered in tiramisu. Definitely not worth repeating.

The pizza arrived cold, and what nerve to call a bowl of whipped cream with a few coffee-soaked ladyfingers tiramisu. And for that price! That was the first and last order.

Looking for a quiet place for dinner and Lazaro filled the bill. The food was delicious. The serving was plentiful. I had the Carbonara and it was excellent. While there was plenty of music and activity on the street, the atmosphere inside was so comforting.

My son ordered a salami pizza last night. He orders from here often. The pizza seemed to have garlic oil on it, which he hadn't ordered and which he can't tolerate! I called first, and they said it absolutely couldn't have garlic oil on it. My son ate it anyway because the owner absolutely said it wasn't acceptable. He thought it was his fault. I walked in and immediately smelled the strong garlic oil odor. After calling again, he admitted there might have been a mistake and that it did have garlic oil on it. Unfortunately, now a sick little boy is sick tonight! He didn't get an apology! We'll never order from here again!

We spontaneously stopped for dinner one Saturday night on our way to a concert, and after two fully booked Italian restaurants, we ended up at Lazaro in Haarlem. Luckily, they still had a table available—which turned out to be a pleasant surprise. The restaurant is located next to the Grote Kerk (Great Church) in the city center, a perfect location if you're looking for a good, affordable meal. For our starters, we had the bruschetta with tomato and garlic: fresh, flavorful, and exactly what you'd expect. I then had the lasagna, and my girlfriend the spaghetti bolognese. Both dishes were truly excellent; you can taste that everything is cooked with fresh ingredients. To finish, we shared the tiramisu, which was also fantastic. In short: we walked in unexpectedly, but were very pleasantly surprised. Highly recommended!

The pizza had a hard crust. I expected better from an Italian restaurant. It was so quiet in the restaurant that the candles hadn't been stolen.

"Italian pizzeria," but it's probably just Turkish. The pizza itself was just not good. Too much cheese, no prosciutto but toasted ham, the pizza even tastes Turkish. The tiramisu is better from Dekamarkt.

Authentic Italian, large and delicious stone-baked pizza, just as it should be. Very friendly and attentive staff, and food and drinks were promptly served. There's also a 3-course menu option, which essentially skips the appetizer. Communication in English is easily possible.

Eros, the owner, works very hard to ensure all customers have the best experience. The farmer's pizza with chicken, bacon and pesto is especially tasty. Serves are very generous, enough for two people. So do yourself a favour and go inside.

If I could put more than 5 stars, I would definitely do it! Meal was very delicious, service 10 out of 10, will definitely come back! Big recommendation!

Food: Was decent. Not great, but not bad either. Acceptable food for a reasonable price in the city center. Service: Varied in terms of friendliness. If they had been more present/visible to customers, they could have sold me more drinks. Atmosphere: The restaurant has a lot of potential, but it was very quiet, there was no music, and the staff was absent. Not exactly welcoming.

Substandard food, everything with cream and even the pasta sauce comes from a jar. Went here because we were cold and had already visited a few shops in the area that were full, with the idea that you can't go wrong with pasta, but here you can!

Great food, for me on the typical Italian side - slow cooking (which you should expect if you go to an Italian place), good atmosphere, very tasty, affordable prices for the amount of food you get.

There were four of us here and we were thrilled by the ambience, the dishes and the service. The pizza, pasta and salad were very appetizing and tastefully prepared. Since we are not in Germany, we did not expect German to be spoken here. Everything was perfect. If we are back in Haarlem we will definitely eat here again. A perfect little pizzera that we can recommend with a clear conscience...we would happily do it again :)

Our Dinner was delicious! We had Pizza, Pasta and a Salad and everybody enjoyed it. The waiter was friendly and spoke understandable English and the ambience was also nice and comfortable. We can recommend this restaurant! :-)

Delicious food for a good price. 3 course menu for 27 euros with a choice of salad/focaccia as starter, main pasta or pizza and a tiramisu for dessert, also option for a menu of 42 euros where you can choose a meat dish as a main. Or just choose what you want without a menu. Very large portions, perhaps too large. Focaccia beforehand was already half a pizza, if you have a pizza as a main course you will be a handsome boy when you finish it. Tiramisu is also a big bite. Restaurant was very quiet when we were there on Saturday evening while other restaurants were very busy... it is not the food. I think the atmosphere and decoration, especially on the outside side, could be a bit better...

Stumbled across this delicious Italian restaurant on maps. What struck me was that it wasn't busy. The food and wine were perfect! I hope they will gain more respect in Haarlem.

After a few hours of strolling found this little restaurant. We were hungry and he had something to match. The food is freshly prepared. The pizzas are large and fill you up, but the pasta could be a little more. As a man, you are not full. The salad could have been more, 6 tomatoes with mozzarella and then quite expensive (picture). Otherwise there was nothing to complain about, the service was friendly. Communication in English or Dutch, unfortunately no German.

An underrated downtown restaurant. We had a delicious meal here last weekend. The service was smooth and the food arrived quickly. The pizzas tasted good, crispy and certainly filling. It is striking that it is often empty/emptier, while in my opinion they bake a perfectly decent pizza. In short, a great place and evening.

Previously really good, but lately really nothing special. What can be a top Spaghetti Carbonara one time may not be anything at all the other time. Ordered Calzone Gyros today, which was also great before. Now a lot bigger, but more onion than gyros and the gyros in it was greasy... The whole thing was tasteless. Shame.

Via Thuisbezorgd bestelt, na dat het eten wat telaat was kregen we er wel een fles wijn bij. Zo wel de pizzas waren erg lekker, groot en rijkelijk belegd. Zeker een aanrader!

Helaas geen verse pizza maar een diepvries pizza die is aangekleed. Erg droog en erg zout. Rucola lijkt wel meegebakken en is helemaal slap. Jammer ik had zin in een lekkere Italiaanse pizza. Prijs kwaliteit verhouding is echt uit balans.

Het was super lekker en jullie nog bezorging in dit slechte weer. YOU ARE HEROES!!!
