Beautiful decor. The waiters were really friendly and always quick to respond. The food was excellent. The lobster was simply superb.

Celebrated New Year's Eve at this fantastic fish restaurant. The menu was sublime. Every dish was carefully prepared, beautifully presented, and delicious. Compliments to the chef! The waitresses are incredibly friendly. It's a top-notch restaurant where quality is paramount.

Perfect flavors, beautifully presented, and clearly prepared with love and craftsmanship. Every dish was a feast. Special compliments to the owner, who is so friendly and hospitable that you immediately feel welcome. That completes the whole experience. I was looking on Google for a nearby restaurant with lobster/crab on the menu. They're available, but steak is easier to come by. Spiny lobster came up. "Fuit de mee" looks good, family, what do you think? Spiny lobster it is. Entering with a warm welcome, that's a good start. Our host had a relaxed chat during the evening, which also started well. I ordered a starter, and oh my, what flavor! The main course...Fruit de Mer de Kinder, eaten it right off the shell, which was also very good. Not to mention the delicious salad and the catch of the day, a perfect sea bream. Finishing with a delicious dessert and a pleasant chat with the host, we can say it's a solid 5 out of 10! Until next time.

Went there to eat, staff was very rude (not to be mean but especially the one guy with pimples on his face), I expected a better experience for the price. You should go eat somewhere else, there are many restaurants way better than this one in this area. Wouldn’t recommend.

We had a wonderful evening at Langoest! Incredibly friendly and attentive staff, a beautiful decor, and above all, delicious food. The sashimi mix, warm seafood platter, and salt-crusted sea bass are all highly recommended. Add to that a great wine list, a perfect negroni (and mocktails), and classic yet delicious desserts, and you have a fantastic evening out. We'll definitely be back!

This is one of my favorite restaurants in Rotterdam and I go at least monthly, and sometimes more. Often bring personal guests here and have introduced this place to many at work. Food is outstanding — lobster butter, the sea salt encrusted sea bass, the lobster pasta, so much more. Amy (lead hostess) is … well, haven’t seen this level of warmth and friendliness anywhere in Rotterdam. Mika is a personal favorite but everyone is great. Go for the food, return for the total experience !!!

The salmon belly and octopus were lovely. The lobster soup was disappointing, but fantastic customer service offered by the hostess has remediated the problem. Overall vibe, food, and wine were good value for money. It is rare to get such a high quality of service in NL, so definitely coming back on next opportunity.

The food is phenomenal. Combine that with a host that truly understands what she's doing. Keeping an eye on all the tables with a friendly smile. Sharing good advise for paring wine. I also loved the view over the river Maas and the Erasmus bridge.

The price-quality ratio isn't ideal. Lobster soup without bread or crispy crust, without a dash of cream, and without a fresh leaf on top: very basic for this price. Fries and vegetables are sold separately as a side dish. The acoustics could be better – ceiling panels could solve this. There's room for improvement regarding the food, based on one visit. The waiters were very friendly, though!

Everything we ordered, from the appetizers to the main courses, was delicious. I ordered the salmon with teriyaki sauce for my main course. I especially loved the salmon's doneness and the balanced flavor of the sauce. I'll definitely go back; it's definitely a good choice for dinner.

We went there for our anniversary. We both had a starter and a main dish. The lobster soup was amazing! We each had the sea bass and cod fish. The presentation of sea bass one is quite nice :) Excellent services and a great vibe.

What a gem, this restaurant! Even though I live nearby, I'd never been there before. We had the bread and oysters as a starter. Very tasty. For the main course, we had the salted sea bass and a Victoria perch. We truly enjoyed it; it was incredibly delicious. The wine was also delicious. And the service was truly outstanding: attentive, fast, friendly, and knowledgeable. All in all, a very successful evening. From arrival to departure, everything was top-notch. We started with delicious cava, oysters au gratin, and scallops. Delicious. The main course was a sea bass for two in a salt crust. In a word: fantastic, including a choice of side dishes. The Sauvignon Blanc was a perfect match for the sea bass. Dessert was the waitress's recommendation: tiramisu ice cream. A lovely ending. This was definitely not the last time we went to Langoes.

Extremely good experience, great food and great service

The restaurant is located on the Rotterdam docks, with the famous Swan Bridge directly in front. Upon entering, the restaurant manager greeted us with a smile and showed us to our seats. The food was delicious and the atmosphere was cheerful!

We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner at Langoest! We received a very friendly welcome, and the atmosphere in the restaurant is wonderful. They took their time with us, and dietary requirements were also very well taken into account. We ordered a fish dish for two, and it looked absolutely amazing! Besides looking good, it tasted delicious! We will definitely be back and highly recommend this restaurant to everyone.

The waiters are very friendly, the seafood is delicious, the decoration is very luxurious, and even the hand washing fragrance is a Dutch brand.

I came to Rotterdam expecting delicious seafood, but my experience exceeded all expectations. The miso-marinated silver cod and teriyaki salmon were so well-suited to Japanese palates that I almost thought the chef was Japanese. The octopus and potato stew appetizer was also delicious, with a rich flavor. I thought 58 euros for one lobster might be a bit pricey and too much, so I chose pasta with half a lobster, but it was a huge hit! Even half was a satisfying portion, and the al dente fettuccine in the exquisite lobster-flavored sauce was amazing. The view of the canal and the restaurant's accommodating attitude toward Japanese people with small appetites who like to share everything make it a recommended choice.

There are a lot of upscale restaurants around here, but I've been to three or four, and this one is the worst. The staff needs to improve their service. The food isn't that great either... It's a bit disappointing.

Excellent starters and fish dishes. Very professional and pleasant staff. The price was excessive. To get fries or a salad, it's an extra charge, and the dish is already expensive. Be careful, if you ask for bread, it's also extra. Otherwise, great place.

This restaurant is truly amazing. I had a very good dinner experience. Vangole's sauce and taste are undoubtedly good. The fish remained soft, not dried out, and was delicious. The service and ambiance were quite good, and the price range was reasonable, which made me very satisfied. I recommend it, it's on my list of restaurants I'll come back to again.

Wij kwamen hier door tripadvisor te lezen. Terwijl we al vier keer in Rotterdam zijn geweest.. En hadden we deze plaats eerder gekend dan waren we er al eerder langs gekomen! De suprise menu van 4 gangen was fantastisch! Alsook de bijhorende wijn kon ons bekoren! De vriendelijk dames hadden alles goed in de gaten en waren perfect op elkaar ingespeeld. Je gaat niet met een hongergevoel van tafel! Alles is supermooi opgediend en gedresseerd. Bedankt voor deze gezellige avond! Alles viel in de smaak.

Weer genoten in Langoest, de King Prawn garnalen waren perfect gegrild waardoor ze heerlijk smaakten en hun sappigheid bewaard was gebleven. Ook de in roomboter gebakken zeetong was prima op smaak, we hebben ervan gesmuld. Begeleid door een lekkere witte wijn én, last but not least, de bediening was weer top en blonk uit in vriendelijkheid en service! Kijk al uit naar een volgend bezoek aan dit fijne restaurant.

Delicious food! Started with oysters and a glass of cava and then the shared platter with various seafood, lobster and shrimp. The wine recommendation was a range of wines that would suit all. We chose the viognier which was very tasty. The waitress accidentally brought the wrong wine, when we pointed this out to her she immediately corrected it in a pleasant manner. Definitely recommended.

Yesterday evening we had another delicious meal with 2 friends at Langoest, what a delight, the men had the Sea Bass in salt as a main course (which is still prepared here in the classic way) and the women had “catch of the day”. All 4 of us enjoyed both the starters and the main courses and the excellent, cheerful service. Langoest is “HIGHLY RECOMMENDED” for people who are willing to pay for top quality at all levels.

Reception was friendly, we received a nice table. Start with a delicious (mix of) oysters and a glass of bubbles. Then the seafood menu. All dishes were top notch and the ladies in the service were super friendly even though it was quite busy. I've only had better scallops. All in all a nice evening. We will visit again soon...

Great restaurant with very good service and committed staff. Went here over Christmas and it was really fantastic. Started with various oysters, delicious in taste. Then the salmon bonbon, followed by the intermediate course, a lobster bisque. The main course was ray wing, phenomenal. What a delicious fish that is. For dessert moelleux au chocolat. That completed it all. Top tent.

Had a delicious meal at this fish restaurant yesterday. Started with a sashimi mix and octopus and then enjoyed a fruit de mer dish. It was very well prepared and we really enjoyed it. For dessert we had an affogato, which was a bit disappointing in terms of quantity. This wasn't very much, a small scoop of ice cream with a little whipped cream and an espresso for €7.50. But I still give 5 stars because the fish was excellent and that's what you come for in the end.

Great Christmas dinner at Langoest. Salmon, crayfish, bisque, langoustine and a truly phenomenal ray wing. Something different from the usual Christmas dresses.

The food was delicious but the service was really bad. Let a wine bottle sit for 40 minutes and then indicate very confidently. That it was because it went by the bottle. When I checked the wine list it was simply by the glass. And suppose it was indeed by the bottle. It was not cold and the bottle had been opened before, very strange. And when we indicated that we were willing to take a bottle. We were simply told 5 times that it might be too expensive for us. Because it is €50 per bottle... After dinner we were not asked if we were still interested in desert or something. When we asked for the receipt we "forgot" again, it was not busy at all. Well, in the end I grabbed the coats myself and walked to the bar to pay. The tip was purely for the delicious food, but we will never come back. Service and hospitality is important even if you have the impression. That people are "too poor" for your cause.

My husband and I enjoyed a delicious dinner here in peace. We only went for a main course with a matching wine. We chose the most expensive thing on the menu, a bowl of Fruit de mer and it was delicious. Nothing about the dish was disappointing. All seafood was well cleaned and prepared correctly. For us, this means, among other things, that the shellfish are still in their shells and do not contain smallpox or sand. In between, the empty shells etc. were collected, which was also nice.

We had a wonderful experience here and really enjoyed the night. We made a group reservation for 11, and they arranged a surprise shared menu with almost every option from their menu. They even accommodated me, the pickiest eater, by preparing a separate meal tailored to my preferences. While the group enjoyed mostly seafood starters, they went out of their way to prepare a special salad for me, even though it wasn’t on the menu. They also kept bringing more bread and butter, which was a nice touch. The entire group loved the dinner—the starters were varied, and the main dishes were fantastic. The service was quick, friendly, and responsive. A big thank you to the waitress who took care of our table all night; I only wish I had asked her name! Everyone loved the pesto/mozzarella pasta, seabass in salt, and sashimi. Although I’m not a seafood lover, I’m definitely considering coming back!
