Lovely fish, pleasant calming atmosphere, professional and nice staff.

We had a surprise menu and it was delicious! The staff was wonderful and truly made my boyfriend’s birthday special. My new favorite restaurant in Rotterdam. Definitely recommend!

The two of us celebrated my husband's birthday there. The ambiance was lovely, the champagne was excellent, and the wine selection was superb. The service team was very polite and attentive. We haven't had such good fish and shellfish in a long time. Absolutely fresh and deliciously prepared. I thought I'd had the best bouillabaisse in Marseille... but the one at Restaurant Langoest is different, but no less outstanding. My husband received a small complimentary dessert from the house... thank you so much! Restaurant Langoest is highly recommended.

A restaurant with prompt and friendly service. The fish on offer is fine, but quite pricey. It is one of the restaurants that still has a plate du mer on the menu. It looks fine, by the way. Side dishes also have to be ordered separately, which is fine; otherwise, you end up with waste because they aren't eaten and have to be thrown away. A nice evening out.

They don't know Bouillabaisse. I wanted a really good bouillabaisse, but this has no comparison, let alone tasty food. Deceived by the name, never again.

The miso-creamed black cod will remain etched in your memory, as will the trio of cheeses. Everything was delicious and beautifully presented. Only the tuna sushi wasn't memorable.

What a delightful experience at this place on the Boompjes. Everything was taken care of down to the last detail, and the quality of the fresh fish was outstanding. The sashimi platter, in particular, was a visual feast. The presentation on ice with the beautifully sliced ​​scallops and the fresh wasabi made the picture complete. What a fantastic evening we had at Restaurant Langoest in Rotterdam! We started with 6 Gillardeau oysters, and they are an absolute must-try. Deliciously fresh, full of flavor, and as far as we are concerned, a must if you love oysters. Afterwards, we enjoyed the lobster, the octopus, and the spectacular sea bass in a salt crust. The fish was removed from the salt crust at the table and expertly filleted. Not only fun to watch, but also incredibly tasty. Everything was perfectly prepared, super fresh, and presented with great care. (unfortunately, we didn't take a photo of the fish) An extra tip: ask the owner for a matching wine. She really takes the time to give suitable advice and knows how to pair the dishes perfectly with delicious wines. That made the experience complete. The staff also deserves a big compliment. Everyone was incredibly friendly, hospitable, and attentive. You feel welcome here from the very first moment. Are you a lover of fish, shellfish, and crustaceans? Then you absolutely must not miss Restaurant Langoest. Top quality, excellent service, and a warm atmosphere. We enjoyed it from start to finish and will definitely be back!

My go-to place every time I’m in Rotterdam. The service is consistently top-notch, every staff member is warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. The food is always fresh and prepared with great care and attention to detail. And honestly, the highlight for me is their in-house vanilla ice cream, it's better than most ice cream shops I’ve ever tried. The rest of the menu is also nothing less but amazing.

Upon entering, I met the friendliest and most enthusiastic hostess I have ever encountered in the hospitality industry – a real asset!! A delicious starter of 3 scallops. Then the catch of the day, sea bream. Truly delicious with a lovely Chardonnay. Unfortunately, I didn't have more time to enjoy it due to a theater visit. I will definitely be back.

I want to share my review of this wonderful restaurant! The service is top-notch, the food is beyond words. The octopus is incredible – juicy, tender, simply magnificent. On Wednesdays, be sure to order the oysters for 1.50 euros. They are simply gigantic and delicious! The scallops are also superb. And of course, the sashimi is simply exquisite. The prices are excellent for such incredible food – it's like a gift! I highly recommend it; I wish I could give it 10 stars!

Interesting menu and a nice wine list with an extensive selection and reasonable prices. We had the oyster mix and sashimi mix as starters. Beautifully presented with pure flavors. For the main course, a whole turbot. Wow, this was finger-licking good. Perfectly cooked and full of flavor. Attentive waiter; he also took the time for a friendly chat. The only downside was the atmosphere. We were seated next to the door and looked out at the smokers outside. Otherwise, highly recommended.

We were here in late May 2026 for dinner for two. The ambiance is pleasant, the service very friendly and attentive, and every detail (right down to the spotless toilets) is perfect. The dishes (including Nile perch and bouillabaisse) were prepared with great care and attention. The only point of attention: they are a little too cautious with salt, herbs, and spices. The flavors could be a bit bolder.

Dinner Experience: We ordered lobster bisque, oysters, and a seafood platter for two. Overall, the seafood was very fresh and tasted excellent—the lobster bisque was rich and sweet, the oysters were smooth and juicy with the salty freshness of the sea, and the lobster, langoustines, shrimp, and shellfish in the seafood platter were all of very good quality; simple cooking brought out the natural flavors of the ingredients. Drawback: The restaurant does not provide Wi-Fi; after inquiring, the waiter explained that it was only for staff use. Overall, this restaurant is highly recommended.

Even though several tables had also ordered oysters, the service remained impressively efficient. The oysters, Zeeuwse Kreus, were fresh, large, and absolutely delicious. A fish restaurant with a clear focus on quality. Particularly interesting if you love fresh seafood in an impressive setting. Not the place for rushing things, but for an evening where you want to eat well and at a leisurely pace.

What a great place. We’ve eaten there twice in quick succession now and enjoyed it very much both times. The service is excellent; the owner should be proud of that and cherish it. We were 'recognized,' which gave a very welcoming feeling. We started with the mix of oysters and sashimi. Then the sea bass in a salt crust and catch of the day, this time Nile perch with crayfish. Good portions, delicious wine, and a beautiful view. Parking is available in the Stadsgarage Boompjes. We will definitely be back!

Good quality seafood restaurant with a beautiful location. The restaurant is also easily accessible by public transport. We opted for a 4-course menu. You don't know exactly which dishes you will get in advance, but you can indicate what you don't like. I found that to be a nice and surprising concept in itself. The salt crust main course was really surprisingly tasty. The presentation was also very nice: the dish is served at the table and opened there as well. A friendly waitress smashes the salt crust with a hammer, and then the fish is served. That made for a fun experience. I have seen this way of serving before in Turkey. What disappointed us, however, was the wine. We paid €35 ​​for a bottle, while the same wine costs about €7 in the shop. In a restaurant of this level and with such a menu, I expect better wine or at least better value for money. To be honest, that left us feeling somewhat disappointed. All in all, we had a good meal and a nice experience, but we really considered the wine selection and price to be a downside.

We had a wonderful experience here and really enjoyed the night. We made a group reservation for 11, and they arranged a surprise shared menu with almost every option from their menu. They even accommodated me, the pickiest eater, by preparing a separate meal tailored to my preferences. While the group enjoyed mostly seafood starters, they went out of their way to prepare a special salad for me, even though it wasn’t on the menu. They also kept bringing more bread and butter, which was a nice touch. The entire group loved the dinner—the starters were varied, and the main dishes were fantastic. The service was quick, friendly, and responsive. A big thank you to the waitress who took care of our table all night; I only wish I had asked her name! Everyone loved the pesto/mozzarella pasta, seabass in salt, and sashimi. Although I’m not a seafood lover, I’m definitely considering coming back!

We booked a table for two to celebrate birthday and it was quite cozy evening. King prawns were delicious, good lobster and oysters. The stuff was nice and polite. At the restaurant, we could choose between a table next to the window or a sofa seating area inside. We selected a sofa seats and enjoyed the Erasmusburg view.

I was looking on Google for a nearby restaurant with lobster/crab on the menu. They're available, but steak is easier to come by. Spiny lobster came up. "Fuit de mee" looks good, family, what do you think? Spiny lobster it is. Entering with a warm welcome, that's a good start. Our host had a relaxed chat during the evening, which also started well. I ordered a starter, and oh my, what flavor! The main course...Fruit de Mer de Kinder, eaten it right off the shell, which was also very good. Not to mention the delicious salad and the catch of the day, a perfect sea bream. Finishing with a delicious dessert and a pleasant chat with the host, we can say it's a solid 5 out of 10! Went there to eat, staff was very rude (not to be mean but especially the one guy with pimples on his face), I expected a better experience for the price. You should go eat somewhere else, there are many restaurants way better than this one in this area. Wouldn’t recommend.

The sashimi mix, warm seafood platter, and salt-crusted sea bass are all highly recommended. This is one of my favorite restaurants in Rotterdam and I go at least monthly, and sometimes more. Often bring personal guests here and have introduced this place to many at work. Food is outstanding — lobster butter, the sea salt encrusted sea bass, the lobster pasta, so much more. Amy (lead hostess) is … well, haven’t seen this level of warmth and friendliness anywhere in Rotterdam. Mika is a personal favorite but everyone is great. Go for the food, return for the total experience !!!
