El restaurante ofrece almuerzo los viernes, y tuve suerte de conseguir una mesa. El lugar es acogedor con cocina abierta y cinco o seis mesas. El servicio fue muy personal, atento y cálido. Cada plato era una pequeña obra maestra, bellamente arreglado y los sabores bastante atrevidos. El chef no teme usar ingredientes y especias del oriente, lo que resulta en combinaciones inusuales y creaciones intensamente sabrosas. Es una fusión entre la cocina francesa y japonesa moderna. El maridaje de vinos fue perfecto – cada vino era de alta calidad – y una buena combinación. Increíble experiencia.

Ontvangst en appetizers waren goed, de bediening wat onhandig en onervaren (verwacht je hier niet) maar gastvrouw deed het erg goed. Vijfgangen waren goed maar zeker niet bijzonder. Vandaar de drie sterren. De lat mag hoger…

Was a lovely dinner, but the restaurant is lacking a contemporary feel. The cuisine, interior, and atmosphere are disconnected. I expected more.

A delicious culinary surprise in the beautiful center of Utrecht. Under the watchful eye of the beautifully illuminated Cathedral, we enjoyed a beautiful 5-course menu. In a beautiful space with spacious tables, we were continuously surprised by the delicious dishes and beautiful wines. Expert and friendly service who encouraged us to remain critical and, above all, to speak out if something needed to be done differently. The dishes were one by one a sensation of taste that did not miss the eye. This isn't dining out, this is an experience! Perhaps the only point for improvement would be nice if you had a fixed service per table, but now this rotated, making it slightly less personal.

We had the pleasure of enjoying a 6-course dinner with wine pairing at Maeve. Each dish was beautifully presented and filled with surprising flavors and the wines complemented them perfectly. The staff was incredibly service-oriented, knowledgeable, and welcoming. Everything was thoughtfully planned down to the finest detail. After visiting most fine-dining restaurants in Utrecht, we can say with certainty that Maeve is among our favorites. If you're looking for a standout dining experience in Utrecht, Maeve is definitely a place to visit!

A little bit disappointing. The quality and presentation of the food is certainly star-worthy. The service, contrary to what you would expect in such an atmosphere, was somewhat below standard. I don't think it is entirely appropriate to enter into a discussion twice, while we clearly indicate that we have a different preference, and I am not used to it from other restaurants with 1 or more stars. In addition, the pungent sewage smell that is constantly present, probably because the toilets are located in the site manager, but it is not very conducive to the taste sensation. Unfortunately, the many scented candles cannot disguise this. Unfortunately, this will not be repeated for our group.

If you make a special reservation for Christmas, you also expect a Christmas atmosphere or at least inspiration at Christmas. None of this, this menu could have been chosen in September. No Christmas music, hardly any Christmas decorations, nothing even on the plate that points to Christmas. This should have been special and was therefore disappointing. It is also a pity that the staff served very sparingly with the wine. The total price tag was Christmas-worthy: very high! We don't think we will go back here again. Too bad, missed opportunity.

We had a delicious meal at Maeve's, the sommelier put together an excellent wine arrangement. By the way, the desserts in particular were delicious, the pastry chef also did a good job.

Never ending 3,5 hours long food torture.

Friendly welcome by the hostess after waiting in front of a closed door in the rain. Delicious appetizers, bread and brioche, the dishes varied in my opinion. In my opinion, not surprising and exciting in terms of flavors. Wines by the glass are reasonably priced.

In one word: sublime! Great restaurant. We enjoyed it immensely. The staff is very hospitable and took all our dietary requirements into account.

This is why you occasionally go to the more luxurious restaurants! It was absolutely right. 4 instead of 5 stars? Because nowadays you can also eat excellent and comparable food in Utrecht in a number of other restaurants without a star. But for a few hundred less ;).

Had a delicious meal last night at Restaurant Maeve in Utrecht, a gift from my twin brother. The food was fantastic and beautifully prepared. A real treat to watch, with great attention to detail and taste. The staff was also very friendly and knowledgeable, which made the experience complete.

Certainly at the top of the segment (€€€+), but delicious refined food and beautiful matching wines!

Utrecht heeft een aantal fijne restaurants en dus werd het tijd voor iets nieuws. Zeer hartelijke ontvangst en er heerst een goede sfeer. 6 gangen lunch was een feestje en de smaken sensationeel goed. Laat je vooral ook adviseren over de wijn. Aperitief met pata negra en een oester ook erg lekker. Bediening relaxed, professioneel en zeer kundig. Wij hebben een heerlijke middag gehad en zijn zeer voldaan weer terug getreind naar 020! Hele grote aanrader in 030!

Everything was in balance What a fantastic experience. Everything was in balance. First of all, the space is perfect in size and distance from the tables. What a party it was here. Every bite is highly flavoured, dishes are all in balance. It took 4.5 hours but it flew by in no time. Never had the feeling of waiting or that it was going too fast. Rarely have I been somewhere where everything was so perfect. Experience you will never forget.

A beautiful culinary evening with a bitter edge. First of all, praise for the kitchen. From appetizer to dessert, you could enjoy surprising flavor combinations without going off the rails. However, the evening had a bitter edge due to the inhospitable and even arrogant attitude of the sommelier. Twice he felt the need to discuss a request for a minor change within one corridor, instead of immediately looking for a solution. It was also noticeable that he poured sparingly. Both things do not fit within the segment and have created an inhospitable feeling. A shame, because the general impression of Maeve is very positive.

I had a great evening here! All courses were a feast for the eyes and the taste buds. Each dish was beautifully prepared and tasted overwhelmingly delicious. The matching wines made it complete. Dining at Maeve has been spot on. Interesting textures and flavours. Great to see Maeve borrow flavors and ingredients from the Japanese kitchen in a subtle and stylish way. Also our table service was lovely, not too stiff not too loose. Best dishes were the warm oyster in the tasting, the fermented and pickled tomatoes and the sea bass. The only comment would be that the water glasses have a dishwasher smell. But I'm sure they'll fix that.

After waiting for a long time yesterday it was finally time to eat at Maeve. And what we experienced was absolutely next level. Everything was very well thought and looked and tasted amazing. The service was great and there was a lack of nothing. Maeve is by far the best restaurant of Utrecht, and the Michelin Star is well deserved.

The four of us had a wonderful evening. What a wonderful experience eating at Maeve. Definitely recommended. We were received with a warm welcome. We opted for the 6 course dinner. First the appetizers, then the 6 courses and afterwards coffee with friandises. Each one is a work of art in itself and what a taste sensation! I'm not a fish eater but this was great in taste. The sommelier gave good advice about the matching wines. The other staff were also friendly and made time for a chat if necessary. Nice to see the chefs working hard in the open kitchen. In short...we would love to come back! Highly recommended for everyone. You immediately feel at home. And thank you so much to Tommy and Vera for letting us spend an evening "at home" with you!

In one word: Excellent! Had dinner at Maeve's with 5 people last Saturday. From the entrance to the end, the service was excellent. We opted for the 6-course lunch including sweetbreads and a matching wine arrangement. The flavors were fantastic and the creations were almost too beautiful to eat. The sommelier knew what he was talking about. The wine and food combination were beautifully in harmony with each other. Even though there were summer temperatures last week, we didn't notice anything in the restaurant, which was very pleasant. The atmosphere was nice. The time between each course was also ideal. The wines were neatly explained and served in advance for each course by the sommelier. Not much later the food was served. It felt special to sometimes have the kitchen staff come to the table to have a course explained. Everything was well thought out and planned down to the last detail. Compliments to the service, the sommelier and the kitchen team. Thank you for this phenomenal experience, we will enjoy it for a long time!

Really good food in Utrecht, so it is possible! And then also great service. The only very small point for improvement is the music.

As I already heard a lot of great stories about Maeve prior to my visit, the expectations were quite high. And yet, Maeve effortlessly surpassed them all. Quality of dishes was superb, with a lot of different tastes, but also different textures served across the whole experience. We opted for the 6-dish menu, which was a great idea - kingfish was actually my favorite dish. I loved the open kitchen, being able to observe the bustle in the kitchen in between the dishes. Also, absolutely stellar service - kind, friendly, and dedicated to making sure everyone's experience is a top quality one. As we were celebrating my partner's birthday, I was asked if we wish them to bring out candles or do something festive (as my partner hates making a scene, I politely declined, but the gesture was appreciated!). Chapeau bas, we will surely return for another brilliant occasion.

Enjoy beautiful dishes, matching wines and a service that knows what hospitality is. Even if you don't want a matching wine arrangement, they have perfect drinks to go with the dishes. Cheers

2023: Delicious meal with a young and ambitious team. This appearance is reflected in the smoothness of the service (refilling water/bread, clearing the table), but above all in the surprising dishes/amuse-bouche. The focus on more Dutch wine and food was a very welcome change for us and a tribute to "learning to enjoy what is around you". We also really liked the fresh, sour notes. There is also growth potential; more uniformity in temperature of the dishes when serving or dressing of staff (e.g. footwear). Maeve is indeed. is working very well on the culinary path. 2024: They really live up to the star, a year later the dishes are even more refined and daring, delicious (Trout with white asparagus and dashi or Sea bass in yuzu with smoked eel and Lardo di Colonnato). The wine-food combination was perfect for us, every dish is perfect. Here and there the service could have been a little sharper in terms of preferences, but this had 0 influence on the taste experience.

I have paid a lot of money in restaurants before and actually thought it was worth it. I can't say the same for Maeve, unfortunately. The food was ok. The free appetizers lowered our expecations. They tasted like candy. The tension from the waiters and the eye rolling was very uncomfortable. We didn't want an appetizer and that was also met with uncomfortable tension. It's a shame, I think there is a lot of potential.

It was a very nice evening. The staff was very friendly and had a nice chat. The food looked beautiful and the wine paired well. For us, a little less fish and more meat or vegetables would have been even tastier. This also meant that there was mainly white wine, but we were curious about the red wines.

A friendly welcome followed by 4 delicious and surprising amuses. Then we started our 6 courses, all of which were equally unique, tasty and beautiful. I had dinner here with my son who is studying to be a chef and he was impressed by this fine dining experience. Friendly and spontaneous staff who ensure a relaxing evening and occasionally come for a nice chat.

I went so eagerly to try out food in this restaurant however I am unfortunately disappointed. First i did not like the bread which was super hard and after few mins of not touching it it became even more harder. Second, I did not like the fact that as soon as the bread was given I started eating and someone came with a new course and moved my bread plate which I was still eating and kept the dish there and started explaining about the dish. Could have given some time or kept the dish next to the bread. I expected more surprise dishes or desserts but that was also a bummer I only got one however when I tried in hemel & aarde which is a restaurant close to this and same price range I felt better. Overall the taste of the food did not make me say wow it's fantastic. May be it's just me and it doesn't match my taste palate. I tried in Petrus restaurant in London which was fantastic and every dish they served was simply awesome and that is also a one michellin star I guess.

One of the best and most interesting meals that I have ever eaten. Too often foodie restaurants have exotic dishes that just don’t work. Maeve is the absolute opposite of that. The dishes are incredibly intricate but the taste and textures totally work to make delicious cuisine. Service is impeccable. I would highly recommend getting the full multi course dinner with the paired wines.

Food looked better than it tasted but it would not be as egregious if it didn’t last more than 3 hours (and we escaped desert because we simply couldn’t sit any longer at this point). Service was snobbish and eye rolled at us at some point.

We have heard rave reviews from other restaurant owners and have decided to celebrate our anniversary at Maeve, for which we have made reservations in 2023. There is a deposit up front, but what we didn't know is that the prices have been increased. That was a surprise in advance. As for the location, it is located on the edge of the center, but is centrally located in Utrecht. The welcome was good and attentive. I personally found the interior of the restaurant, especially in the right-hand room, to be a bit open and empty. This makes the atmosphere more spacious and less warm. Since we were there anyway, we opted for the 6-course menu. The food itself was very tasty and surprising. Beautiful presentations. As far as I'm concerned, the dessert could have been done without alcohol/peasants. We wanted to end the dinner with coffee and tea (without friandises), as we were quite full after the 6-course menu. Still, the friandises were served, which was a shame. We indicated that we did not want the friandises. They offered to pack it for take away. Since it had already been served, we found it objectionable not to accept it and simply paid. All in all, we enjoyed dinner at Maeve.

A restaurant that fully deserves the 5-star review! The food is incredibly good, creative and unique. The service is excellent and the sommelier has good knowledge and recommendations. Second time coming here and I can fully recommend it. A Michelin restaurant that is perfect in terms of price/quality.

My sister took the family here. What a great evening! No tense attitudes or "this is exactly how it should be done", just lovely people who really know what they are doing and have knowledge of the profession! Prior to yesterday's visit, I doubted whether we should go because of a pregnancy and various ingredients that I was therefore not allowed to eat. Maeve assured me that this would not be a problem. They had good alternatives for this and a lot of experience with it. That reassured me that I went anyway. When reviewing the menu, it turned out that most dishes had been adjusted, but not all. After indicating this, additional adjustments were immediately implemented. Nevertheless, I was served two dishes that contained alcohol without this being stated on the menu. With the second dish we found out in time. However, too late for the first dish. Maeve indicated that she had prepared everything according to their guidelines. Because the ingredients were heated, the alcohol would have evaporated. However, it is now generally known that alcohol, even when heated for hours, never completely evaporates and that pregnant women are therefore advised not to consume it (including by the Nutrition Center and Jellinek). The service initially insisted that there really was no alcohol in it. That created an uncomfortable situation. Ultimately, an apology followed, but no acknowledgment or other expression that lessons had been learned from this issue. Of course, the damage had already been done by eating the first course. All in all, we paid a lot of money to go home with an unpleasant feeling and a head full of worries. Upon completion, none of the employees returned to the situation. It felt to us like it was being swept under the rug. There is certainly craftsmanship in the dishes, but if you have special wishes I would skip Maeve to be on the safe side because based on our experience it is not certain that the dishes are safe in all situations.

An evening that will not soon be forgotten. When you enter, you feel like a warm blanket because of the attention and appearance of this young company. The hospitality of Vera and her team at the front is classy with an eye for every detail. Behind the pass, Tommy and his brigade are preparing all the beautiful and very tasty dishes. The passion and tranquility that the kitchen brigade radiates is nice and beautiful to watch from table 6. We had the 6 course menu with a few adjustments, no problem at all for the kitchen. All dishes are very flavorful with a taste palette that goes in all directions. The matching wines were poured with a lot of love for wines by Hugo, a top sommelier, so much knowledge, very good! I could go on and on, but the best thing to do is to visit this beautiful place yourself. Hello

Perfect menu en fantastische service. Een parel.

Gisteren geluncht bij Restaurant Maeve. Wat een heerlijk restaurant! Alles is tot in de puntjes goed geregeld. We gingen voor het 5 gangen menu met een uitbreiding met zwezerik. Ik vind dat alle gerechten mooi in balans waren, goed op smaak, diverse grondstoffen gebruikt, een mooie lijn inzat en mooi gepresenteerd op hun eigen prachtige servies. Ik had bijpassende non-alcoholische drankjes. Deze waren zeer goed gekozen / ontwikkeld! De service was ook zeer professioneel vriendelijk en rustig. Men neemt echt even de tijd voor je. Kortom een erg fijne ervaring en een echte aanrader! Fijn om een dergelijke zaak weer in Utrecht te hebben !

Mooie lokatie in prachtig stukje stad. Goede inrichting, lekkere stoelen, en voldoende privé. Ontvangst en bediening vond ik behoorlijk bleu voor de pretenties: niets feestelijks, authentieks of leuks (zoals bijna altijd in Utrecht; ze kunnen hier nog heel veel leren van Amsterdam en Rotterdam!). Zelfde geldt voor het eten: 7 gangen, prachtig opgediend, zeker, maar dat je nou zegt 'wauw'... (hooguit 2x deze avond)... Wijn: idem. Tel daarbij op de prijs (ook altijd veel te hoog in Utrecht) en ik kom niet boven de 3 sterren.

Twee weken geleden ben ik met mijn familie komen lunchen bij restaurant Maeve. Eten: 5/5 Je proeft dat er met kwaliteitsproducten wordt gewerkt (waarvan ook veel lokaal!). Daadwerkelijk alles is zo smaakvol. Er werd gewerkt met (voor mij nog) onbekende producten, zoals bv tonburi (zaad vd zomercypres). Dit maakte dat ik keer op keer verrast werd met nieuwe smaken of texturen. Ik heb geprobeerd een top 3 van de gerechten te maken, maar dat is niet mogelijk als je alles op plek 1 wilt zetten. Service: 5/5 Heel vriendelijk personeel. Toen we aankwamen werden we gelijk warm ontvangen door gastvrouw Vera en naar een mooie, ronde tafel gebracht. Bij het doorgeven van onze keuze was het erg fijn dat er meegedacht werd naar de mogelijkheden, zodat de één kreeft kon hebben, en de ander de chef's special (zwezerik). Met behulp van sommelier Bram is er een selectie wijnen uitgekozen, die allemaal mooi aansloten op de gerechten. Het tempo van de bediening was ook fijn. We voelden ons echt welkom en hebben geen enkele keer op of om moeten kijken. Sfeer 5/5: De combinatie van mooi opgedekte tafels, een lichte ruimte, goede akoestiek en het vriendelijke personeel zorgde voor een ongedwongen sfeer terwijl je in de in de watten wordt gelegd. Gezelschap 5/5: Hoewel de onderdelen waar Google naar vraagt alle drie 5/5 sterren krijgen, was de middag niet compleet zonder mijn gezelschap.

Eten is echt "ster" waardig! Service is heel goed en het personeel zeer vriendelijk en toegankelijk! Echt een aanrader!

Wat een aanwinst voor de stad! We hebben de hele avond heerlijk zitten tafelen, met het 6-gangen all inclusive arrangement. De amuses zijn verrassend en een goed begin van de avond. Daarna starten de gangen en elk bordje zag eruit om door een ringetje te halen. Samen met de bijpassende wijnen was het een perfect geheel van smaken en geuren. Ook willen we aanstippen dat het tempo van de avond zeer aangenaam was, ook dit is een kunst. Daarnaast is het natuurlijk erg bewonderenswaardig dat veel van de ingrediënten van eigen bodem komen. Wat knap om van alledaagse producten zo’n verfijnd gerecht te maken. De setting, ambiance en het personeel laat je voelen alsof je in een privé setting dineert. Een bezoek aan Maeve zou op iedereens wish list moeten staan 😊

Sowas hab ich selten erlebt. Ein unglaublich freundlicher Service, ein Menu was seines gleiche sucht, ein super spannende Weinbegleitung einfach ein absolut perfekter Abend. Und das zu einem Preis der einem einfach nur ein Lächeln aufs Gesicht zaubert. Kann ich nur empfehlen, ein Muß bei einem Besuch in Utrecht. Nochmals Herzlichen Dank für ein unvergessens Erlebnis

Gisteravond hier gaan eten voor ons 10-jarig jubileum. Enorm op verheugd maar het viel ons een beetje tegen. Het begon goed: we werden bij de voordeur opgewacht met een vriendelijk praatje. De entourage is fantastisch, een heel mooi pand, prachtig ingericht en oog voor details in de afwerking. Het eten was prachtig opgemaakt, echte plaatjes maar we misten de smaak sensaties waar anderen het over hebben in de reviews. Jammer! We kozen het 6-gangen menu met oesters vooraf. De amuses en oesters waren top, daarna was het lekker maar niet de wow factor. Sommige gerechten hadden net wat teveel olijfolie of zout naar onze smaak. Het perzik toetje was wel weer erg smaakvol. Qua wijnen vonden we de witte wijn bij de zeebaars te tam en de rode wijn bij de duif te zoet. Beide op de foto gezet. Zo jammer! Sowieso vonden we het jammer dat er in het hele menu van 7 wijnen, maar 1 rode wijn zat. Het personeel was vriendelijk totdat we vriendelijk een opmerking maakten over de minder passende wijn. Toen klapten ze dicht en kwam er ook geen alternatief. Ook beloofde een ober ons wat tips op te schrijven voor Maastricht maar die hebben we nooit gekregen. De hele avond werd er ook nogal geswitched met wie in de wijken liep. Daar had een ander tafeltje naast ons ook last van waar twee maal gevraagd werd wat ze wilden drinken. Maakt het wat onpersoonlijker. Na betaling was er ook niemand die ons naar de deur begeleidde. Dat voelde heel vreemd zo weg lopen terwijl niemand je tot ziens zegt. Erg jammer als je net bijna €400 hebt betaald. Geen top ervaring voor ons dus met dit restaurant. Wellicht licht het aan de menu keuze deze maand of aan de avond. Maar we misten een beetje liefde hier. In Utrecht vinden we Concours en Le Jardin beter.

Verfijnd diner met mooi wijnarrangement. Zorgzame, persoonlijke bediening. Sfeervol interieur.

Prachtig restaurant, waar mensen met liefde voor de gast en de producten werken. Ware kunstwerkjes op tafel gekregen, met zo veel verschillende smaken die elkaar opvolgen in elk hapje.

Een ervaring om niet snel te vergeten! Op en top service en gastvrijheid staan hier centraal en niet alleen dat maar het eten is waanzinnig lekker en af en toe te mooi en op te eten en heb je het eenmaal in je mond is het een smaak explosie die je grootste dromen overtreft! Echte aanrader om een avond uit te zijn en van de wijn te genieten icm het lekkere eten!

Gisteren met 4 personen bij Maeve gegeven, als je hoge verwachtingen hebt kan het soms tegenvallen maar niets is minder waar: ontzettend genoten van de topservice en heerlijke gerechten. Aanrader!

Heerlijk gegeten bij Restaurant Maeve. Van binnenkomst tot vertrek en alles daar tussen in... in een woord fantastisch! Elk gerecht was een waar genot voor de smaakpapillen en het wijnarrangement was perfect in balans met de gerechten. Maeve heeft dan weliswaar 1 ster van Michelin, maar van mij krijgen ze op alle onderdelen 5 sterren! #absoluteaanrader

Heerlijk gegeten, fijne sommelier met lekkere wijnen plus fantastische sappen voor het non-alcoholische ‘wijn’ arrangement. Mooie gerechten met creatief gebruik van groentes met als hoogtepunt de zwezerik.

Great food, friendly young staff, I loved the entire wine pairing (which I don't always do, so perhaps that means they're accessible wines) And I still dream about their pata negra... yum!

We hebben bij Maeve een hele fijne avond gehad. Voor meer foto’s, kijk op instagram: gastroguideglenn Maeve is voor mij het beste restaurant in Utrecht waar ik ben geweest. Qua kwaliteit heeft Maeve zijn ster absoluut verdiend. Mooie frisse en lichte gerechten met verse, lokale groente en kruiden vormen de basis van het menu. Hierbij worden de meeste gangen voorzien van een mooi stukje vlees of vis. De kwaliteit van de gerechten is nagenoeg constant waarbij veel elementen hoog op smaak zijn. De wijnen van het wijnarrangement hebben een Europese focus, waarbij ook Nederlandse wijnen de revue passeren. Maeve is absoluut een aanwinst voor de stad!

Ontzettend lekker gegeten. En ook hele leuke bediening.

Afgelopen zaterdag hier geluncht. Een vriendelijk ontvangst en begonnen met heerlijke amuses. Alle 6 de gangen waren fantastisch maar de krab en langoustine staken er boven uit. Bediening is erg kundig!

Gerechten heerlijk en kunstwerkjes, bijpassende wijnen bijzonder en smaakvol, service uitmuntend. Plekje met uitzicht op de airco is wat minder, werd wel op verzoek direct uitgezet.

Top restaurant met top bediening. De gerechten zijn erg speciaal en ontzettend goed bereid en mooi opgediend! Kom hier zeker nog een keer terug
