We had a delicious meal! The rijsttafel was varied and it was hard to choose what to try because everything was just so tasty. The service was also incredibly attentive. I will definitely be back here. I agree that Spijkenisse still needs to discover this cuisine, but I hope more people give them a chance, because I thoroughly enjoyed it!

The food is delicious. I ordered in the past, but this time I had a lovely meal with a girlfriend. A great addition to Spijkenisse, and I hope to come back soon with my children.

I have eaten at this restaurant a number of times so far. The food is always prepared fresh, only at the moment of ordering. You can taste it, and you simply have to be willing to wait for it. Plenty of tasty appetizers and drinks beforehand. My favorite starter is the bolani; you can see the sea bass in one of the photos. I personally haven't eaten it tastier anywhere else!!

Super delicious food. The rijsttafel is highly recommended because you can sample different dishes. Everything was well-seasoned, and although the dishes look similar in color, they really do taste different. Pakawra (crispy fried potato slices) is well-seasoned and a bit spicy, delicious. We had never eaten Afghan food before and were truly surprised. We will definitely come back and bring friends along so that more people can discover these tasty dishes.

I ate here yesterday with eight colleagues. The owner gave me free rein. Everything was delicious! I wasn't familiar with all the dishes, but I'll definitely be back. There were also two single men there. Hence this review; feel free to eat there! The service was friendly. We spent 3.5 hours there.

Never having eaten Afghan food before, it was time to try it at this restaurant (formerly Gulle Gaper) on Voorstraat. As expected after looking at the menu, it resembles Indian cuisine, especially in the use of spices (but less spicy), meat dishes, rice dishes, and naan bread. For our starters, we had chicken sambosa (similar to an Indian samosa, but more generously filled) and mantu (steamed dumplings with spiced ground meat). For our main course, we had the Qabeli Palauw Zeresh Chalauw rice table, which included two meat dishes (spiced beef meatballs and veal in sauce), boiled potatoes in sauce, spiced spinach, and eggplant in tomato sauce with yogurt, and two delicious rice dishes. Everything was deliciously freshly prepared and more than enough; the only thing we missed was naan bread (which can be ordered separately as a starter). Next time, we will definitely order some meat dishes from the charcoal grill! What we don't understand is that we were the only customers on a Saturday evening at 6:30 PM (another Afghan customer arrived later), even though the quality of the food is excellent! The owner who served us, and with whom we spoke, doesn't understand this either – despite the many positive reviews. We think it's mainly due to unfamiliarity with Afghan cuisine. We would definitely recommend this restaurant (and find the quality of the food better than many other restaurants in Spijkenisse). We will definitely be back! N.B. There's also a large terrace at the back, but it's only opened when there's sufficient patronage.

We ate here for the first time with 8 people. Surprisingly tasty, with beef tenderloin, chicken, and turkey being chosen. Served with delicious rice and salad or fries and salad. The starters were all fine and flavorful. Excellent choice of desserts. The service was attentive and prompt, great. The price/quality ratio was good. Plenty of choice. Next time, a rijsttafel :-) It was just very quiet. Spijkenisse and the surrounding area still need to discover this cuisine. Very worthwhile and worth a repeat visit.

Food is really super delicious! To be honest I didn't know what to expect, when you enter it is a bit old-fashioned and there is no real atmosphere... But that food! 😍 delicious!!! And in the end that is just the most important.

We were helped very kindly. The food served was fine, but not very special. We expected more from this. In addition, we were the only company in the restaurant the entire time. That doesn't really make you feel comfortable. The friendliness of the waiter made up for that a bit :)

We ate at an Afghan restaurant for the first time. Highly recommended. We had a name bread and samoso with meat beforehand. And a 4-course menu for 2 with all kinds of goodies. Highly recommended!!

Yesterday we had a delicious meal at Morvarid restaurant for the second time. Afghan cuisine is surprising and incredibly delicious. The service is very friendly and gives good advice. We highly recommend it and will definitely come back.

Everything was very well taken care of and the food tasted perfect, not too salty and not too spicy! The only downside is the atmosphere of the place, I would have opted for a more authentic Afghan look so that I could imagine myself in that world a bit! Furthermore, a top tent with good food and a very nice owner

Delicious food with very good flavors and variety. We opted for the shared dish with meat and vegetables. I was very pleased with the quantity and range of flavors. I would prefer to have some bread as a standard accompaniment to the dish. Furthermore, we were very positive.

Ordered via home delivery, delivery ok, fresh salad and fries certainly crispy. Ordered lamb and tenderloin, but these were completely overcooked. Herbs are nice. I called politely and was referred to the manager, but I'm not looking forward to that. Overall, for 50 euros, I don't think this is worth it at all, 1st time, but not like this again, I'm really sorry

We had a delicious meal again tonight for the third time. The staff is super friendly. The food is nicely seasoned. This is highly recommended for everyone.

We wanted something different so we went to Afgaan. It was tasty but not really hot food. We took a rice table, which was only for 2 people, a nice variety of dishes, but for 2 people you would think in even numbers, so that was not the case, some dishes contained 5 things, difficult to share. But it didn't disappoint.

Delicious food (had never eaten Afghani before). Was positively surprised, especially for that price. Service was a little slow but not annoying. Recommend to everyone.

Had dinner at Morvarid tonight. What delicious dishes we had, both the meat and vegetable dishes were top notch. The service was friendly and fast, and they certainly made sure you didn't want for anything. We ordered 3 rice tables with 6 of them so that we could taste a bit of everything and it certainly wasn't disappointing. Generous portions and delicious taste. The desserts were also delicious, especially the Afghan classics. If you eat here I will recommend trying everything you don't know. All in all a successful evening.

We did takeout. The rice and potato were tasty. But the spinach, eggplant (was still raw), chicken and veal were so incredibly salty. That we threw it away. Not worth repeating for us.

We thoroughly enjoyed all the flavors. The two of us shared a rice table. The gentlemen gave us an extensive selection of dishes and such a large portion in total that we were very happy when they offered to give us the leftovers in a container. This also left some room for the fantastic baklava on the dessert menu. The staff seemed a bit cold at first, but they thawed out quickly and turned out to be very friendly and helpful. Nice balance between relaxing dining and offering service. Later in the evening we shared a few nice stories and were able to pass on our compliments to the owner's wife for the delicious desserts. The restaurant has a nice quiet atmosphere where we could just talk to each other despite the other conversations at the neighboring tables. All in all a wonderful evening with very nice flavors. Rarely had a delicious meal in the restaurant and took home the leftovers the following evening.

We were not familiar with Afghan cuisine, but were pleasantly surprised. Looks somewhat like Indian but a lot less spicy. The vegetarian rice table was excellent! And extra points for the hospitality and great service. Recommended!

I ordered the main course Mantu via home delivery (not the starter). When I received my order I saw that it did not contain rice, which should have been included. Home delivery with the main course Mantu includes rice. I immediately called about this and it would be delivered. 2 minutes later I received another call saying that I will not receive this, because there is nothing about rice on their own website. Immediately indicated that I ordered via home delivery and that it states that rice is included with the Mantu. The Mantu without rice is 8 euros, with rice is 21 euros which is what I paid. The gentleman from the restaurant started to act busy and angry and he thought it was not his problem, but that of home delivery and he indicated that he was not going to solve this and that it was my own problem with home delivery. Normally it is indicated that this is between the restaurant and home delivery, since the restaurant indicates what can be ordered for home delivery, but he does not care about that. Very unfriendly man and is not willing to fix his own mistakes. Attached photos of the different types of Mantus that you can order for home delivery, you can see that the main course, which I ordered and paid for, includes rice. Also attached is my order stating that I chose rice. Really a ridiculously antisocial attitude from the owner and extremely disappointing that he is not willing to solve this.

We always walk past and had dinner here today. Because we are not familiar with Afghan cuisine, we asked for a tasting of various dishes. The portions are very generous and very tasty. The sauce is served separately. And the rice is prepared in various ways. The specialty is also highly recommended. The staff is very attentive, hospitable and helpful. We were now sitting on the terrace, but inside it looks very neat and clean, toilets also well maintained. It is a mystery to me that there were few guests who ate on site. It is highly recommended and a nice addition to Spijkenisse.

The rice dishes were tasty. Delicious eggplant dish. The chicken was dry. Naan bread is also dry and probably not homemade. Cardamom is prominent in dishes and drinks. Tasty! The restaurant must be careful not to adapt too much to Dutch taste. It could all be a bit stronger in taste. You miss acid and freshness. Adding some raw vegetables gives more balance. Preferably no chili sauce or garlic sauce from a jar! Service is super friendly and helpful.

Ordered a (kofta and chicken) rice table for the first time via home delivery, told that it would take 1 hour, I thought it was best on Saturday evening at 7 pm. Was delivered in 30 minutes! everything was tasty, as I have always tasted with Afghan friends, rice tasted warmed up but that's okay, I know how much effort Afghan rice takes to make. I will order here more often!

You get a lot of food for what you pay. I don't know much about Afghan food, but according to the owner, it's Afghan-Persian which, according to Google, is known for being "generous and hospitable". At least you know that you are not leaving on an empty stomach. In terms of taste I really liked it, of course it tasted in a very nice way I would definitely come back to try more. Strangely enough, it was very empty, and I think this restaurant should receive many more guests. The owner was extremely friendly and helpful. I learned a lot from him and we laughed together. Highly recommended and definitely worth a visit.

Food is delicious. Compliments to the chef. But the owner is a scammer. We had purchased vouchers via Social Deal based on what was offered. Once in the restaurant, the owner says that what is stated on the social deal is not correct. Only what he offers and you can choose from that. In addition, complains about the social deal. We have nothing to do between him and social deal. If he doesn't like it, why does he put his restaurant on Social Deal? So in short, we were only allowed to choose what he wanted and not what was on the social deal. So pay for something and in the end you can only give what he wants to give you. So not what is stated on social deal. I am open to clear discussion. Have screenshots of the Social Deal and photos of its menu card (very and very limited menu) as proof! He also shouts at his staff while there are guests in the business. He can also talk to them in a softer tone. Pffff
